Yesterday marked the beginning of the ARC Raiders Server Slam, the final open beta before the game’s launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

For the first time, the test is open to everyone without registration or access codes. The goal is to stress-test the servers before release, and on Steam, that goal seems to have been reached.

Just a few hours after going live, ARC Raiders reached 189,668 concurrent players, with numbers expected to rise over the weekend, which is a typical peak time for Steam usage. This is an impressive result, especially considering it launched close to the very successful release of Battlefield 6.

It’s worth nothing that if you factor in the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S’ player base, this number might be more than double, which is insane to see from a new shooter.

During the Server Slam, a hotfix was also released to address crashes and other technical issues encountered during the playtest.

If you haven’t joined the Server Slam yet, there’s still time. The test runs until Sunday, October 19, and it’s the last chance to try the game before its official release on October 30.

During the event, players can explore the Dam Battlegrounds map and get used to the core gameplay mechanics. Although progress won’t carry over to the full version, participants will receive an exclusive backpack as a reward.
