Just last week, DICE unveiled the final set of Specialists and their abilities that will be available in Battlefield 2042 come launch. Out of the lot, the most concerning one is from South Korean Specialist JI-SOO PAIK, who has a wallhack ability (called the EMG-X Scanner) that outlines everyone around her for a few seconds.
Needless to say, this ability has caused quite an uproar among the community given how overpowered (OP) it seems to be on paper, and how easy it might be to abuse. Fortunately, it seems DICE is aware of this, though we don’t know what changes are being made.
Over on Twitter, DICE Technical Designer Bruno Brito answered a fan pointing this out, and said that “guys are already on top of it.”

This is definitely good news. While it’s a bit too late to backtrack on Specialists for Battlefield 2042, DICE can tweak and adjust abilities as the game is being played. Perhaps they can make the wallhack ping radius smaller? Or maybe make it last shorter given it’s at a full eight seconds now for every activation.

Continuing with Battlefield 2042 news, earlier this month, EA announced the “Positive Play” initiative for the game, which include ways for gamers to report harrasment and other inappropriate behavior by other players you come across in BF2042. Thanks to reliable Battlefield dataminer temporyal, we now have a list of the in-game reporting tool descriptions, and what type of issues players can report on! Note that this data came from the beta client, though we suspect it’ll be the same for the full game come launch.
The #Battlefield 2042 Beta client includes descriptions for all options (like "Harassment") of the new ingame reporting tool. Some mentioned reasons to report someone:

🔹 Aimbots
🔹 Wallhacks
🔹 Stalking

That seems to cover almost everything for the most part, no? Hopefully, players won’t need to use this feature much.
