Battlefield 6 Levolution-like Moment Surfaces, and It Looks Insanely Impressive

Battlefield 6 Levolution

While DICE is bringing back many Battlefield 4 vibes with Battlefield 6, one thing is not making a return: the “Levolution” gameplay mechanic.

If you’re unfamiliar with it, Levolution was introduced in Battlefield 4, and was essentially destruction on a grander scale. When triggered by players, typically through large-scale destruction, this altered a map’s dynamics significantly and thus impacted gameplay.

Apparently, even if publisher Electronic Arts isn’t using Levolution in Battlefield 6’s marketing, players can still expect these kinds of events in the game — at least in some of the maps.

Battlefield 6 Levolution Is Apparently a Thing

Thanks to the leaked gameplay of Mirak Valley from the latest build of Battlefield Labs, it shows how the largest map available at launch has some Levolution-like elements to it! Don’t believe me? Watch the clip below to see how it happens in-game.

As you can see, the gigantic metal structure/crane gets dismantled and falls to the building next to it, creating a ton of smoke and debris. Needless to say, after the dust has settled, the metal beam is now on the ground and has affected the map’s design significantly — just like Levolution!

We’re unsure as of now whether this is scripted to just one building (highly likely) or if it’s more dynamic compared to Battlefield 4. Either way, it’s still very impressive to see, and adds to the “holy crap!” moments to the game. Hopefully, this type of thing isn’t just present in Mirak Valley. We didn’t see anything close to this from the four maps in the Open Beta, but there’s a chance DICE reserved this for the largest maps in the game, such as Mirak Valley, New Sobek City, and, based on leaks, the Season 1 map “Eastwood.

Expect a ton more info (and footage) from Battlefield Labs to surface in the coming days.

In official Battlefield 6 news, DICE has confirmed persistent servers will be available, which is good news for a lot of players. The PC requirements and features are also out, so you can plan ahead to see what settings your rig can handle.

Battlefield 6 will be available on October 10 on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
