It seems that Battlefield 6 is destined for success, at least in terms of sales, as early data is already putting it at some impressive pre-order numbers on Steam alone. Not only that, but based on the data, it’s also pulling players from the Call of Duty franchise.

Not only that, but the recent open beta has convinced thousands of potential buyers to lock in their pre-orders already, proving that players liked what they played.

Battlefield 6’s Pre-sales Are Already Off to an Impressive Start

As revealed by Alinea Analytics, Battlefield 6 is already making its way to the top of Steam’s revenue charts, as pre-orders, by their estimate, have soared to over 605K. That’s over half a million on Steam alone, meaning that number is likely much higher when you take PlayStation and Xbox into account.

By Alinea’s estimates, this amounts to $35 million in revenue already, which bodes well for EA and DICE in terms of early projections.

What’s more, BF6 has made it onto over 2.7 million gamers’ wishlists, and roughly 62% of those gamers also played Call of Duty (premium experience or the free-to-play mode). A large margin, though of course, wishlists don’t translate into sales, and only that a user is interested in potentially buying it. This was a number that grew exponentially after the first weekend beta last week, which resulted in between 2.20 and 2.44 million additional wishlists in just 24 hours on August 7. No surprise there, considering that the open beta saw over 500K concurrent players at one point.

Interestingly, there are more Call of Duty players who have wishlist the game than those who have played Battlefield 2042.

With two months left before release, things are looking very good for Battlefield 6 based on these numbers. Of course, whether it meets EA’s expectations is another story, but so far, it seems that Battlefield 6 is poised for a very successful launch.

That’s assuming DICE and the rest of the Battlefield Studios can maintain the momentum, and with a second and final open beta weekend starting this Thursday, we’d wager that won’t be much of a problem. Thanks to the beta’s success, it drove publisher Electronic Arts’ stock to surge to a new all-time high.

Battlefield 6 launches on October 10 on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
