Battlefield V Concurrent Player Count Spikes to Over 100K and Establishes New All-Time High on Steam

Battlefield V Concurrent Player Count

Following Battlefield 2042’s recent turnaround where it managed to hit a new high in player counts, it seems it’s now Battlefield V’s turn, as the era shooter released back in 2018 has now managed to hit over 100,000 concurrent players on Steam alone!

This data was revealed by the ever-reliable Steam Charts, where it showed the 24-hour peak to be at over 111,000 concurrent players, which is now the game’s new all-time high on Steam.

It seems the massive player hike is due to the game’s massive sale on Steam, where Battlefield V is on sale for just $3.99. Needless to say, this is a steal for the shooter, which has mostly positive reviews on the platform. Do bear in mind that this number does NOT represent the console numbers, which should add a few thousands to it.

As for Battlefield 2042, while it managed to establish a new all-time high with Season 6’s launch, that number has dropped a bit, but it’s still sitting at a pretty respectable 50,000 concurrent players on Steam alone. Again, note that these numbers don’t account for consoles and other platforms, which means this is even higher.

While it’s very, very unlikely we’ll see any new content for Battlefield V, there is a chance we’ll see another season for BF2042. Mind, EA hasn’t said anything, but a DICE dev recently said something that seems to be hinting at a Season 7 announcement is on the way.

Much like Battlefield V, Battlefield 2042 has managed to turn things around since it launched. It’s gotten a lot of changes that we even had to re-review the game this year to account for it. If you’re curious, go read our scored review of BF2042 in 2023 right here.
