Borderlands 2 – Cross Platform Play For PC And Mac Available Now, Add-On Disk Coming Feb 26th.

Have you been enjoying Borderlands 2 on the PC or Mac and always wanted to team up with fellow vault hunters of the opposite operating system?

If so, then as of this writing, your wish has come true according to the latest tweet from Aspyr, the people behind the Mac version of Borderlands 2.

In order to enable cross-platform gaming between PC and Mac, just simply restart your Steam client and re-boot your copy of Borderlands 2 to receive this update.

In other Borderlands 2 news, for those who have been waiting to get their hands on first two add-on DLCs for Borderlands 2, including the fifth playable class, Gaige the Mechromancer and a golden key, are in luck. A special Borderlands 2 add-on disc is in the works, according to Game Informer, which will net you the following items and DLC:

  • Captain Scarlet And Her Pirate’s Booty
  • Mister Torgue’s Campaign Of Carnage
  • Gaige the Mechromancer
  • Golden Key
  • Collector Edition Pack ( Special Edition Skins and Heads, Contraband Grenade Mod)
  • Pre-Order Bonuses ( Golden Gearbox weapons, Vault Hunter’s Relic, Access to the Creature Slaughter Dome)

The Borderlands 2 add-on disk will be available on February 26th at your local video game retailer for the price of 29.99 USD. You will end up saving more then 14.99 USD, if you were to purchase the content of this add-on DLC separately.
