James Gunn, the new creative lead of DC Universe, recently confirmed via Twitter that DC’s movies, TV shows, and games would all be connected to the DCU. The reply originally stemmed from a question asking James whether he would create more character shows for DC characters. This means that DCU games will likely have a plot that’s consistent with DC’s other media moving forward.

With James Gunn’s popularity among many DC fans and his recent works such as The Suicide Squad (2021), it will be interesting to see how future DC game titles will move the story forward.
The new DC creative lead didn’t really namedrop any video game title or franchise specifically, though, so things are still very much up in the air at this point. When updates regarding any DCU-relevant games are announced, we’ll be sure to cover them.
As for DC games, Warner Bros. recently released Gotham Knights (read our review here), with Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League set to be released in Spring 2023.
