Fallout 76 Crashing Issues on PlayStation Acknowledged by Bethesda, Hopes to Have a Fix Live “Soon”
With Fallout 76 getting a massive update with the Skyline Valley patch last week, players should be enjoying the slew of new stuff to do. While that might be the case for Xbox and PC players, the same can’t be said for those on PS4 and PS5. Multiple Fallout 76 crashing issues for PlayStation have surfaced the past few days, and it hasn’t gotten any better.
Fallout 76 Crashing Issues on PlayStation – Is It a Real Problem?
Multiple reports about the crashing issues have surfaced online, and while we’re a little bit late to the party, there are still threads about it:
Thankfully, Bethesda is aware of the issue and mentioned how a fix is being worked and could be released soon-ish. Here’s the message shared by Bethesda via the studio’s Discord channel.
Hi all! Just an update on the PSN crashing and flickering at vendors/crafting benches.
The team is working hard to resolve these issues and we hope to have a fix live soon. We’ll update you as we have more information, and thank you for your continued patience!
On Bethesda’s help site, the studio also posted a message stating they are aware of the crashing issues for PlayStation players:
We are aware of an issue where PlayStation players are experiencing some crashing and visual issues after the update when using stashes or vendors. We are working towards a resolution. If you are experiencing this issue, the steps below may help resolve it.
Alongside that acknowledgement is a “fix” that essentially tells people to restart their game, clear save data and uninstall and reinstall the game — something which the community said does NOT work.
Chances are, this means a patch is incoming, and if the stars align, perhaps we’ll see it drop tomorrow? Or maybe sometime this week? Once we have more info about that, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.
