While Fallout 76 PC players got a patch last week, Bethesda has released the Fallout 76 update 1.42 August 24 patch today for the PS4 and Xbox One during the game’s maintenance period. Don’t expect any new content however, as this seems to be for fixes more than anything else. Read on below for what got changed.
Fallout 76 Update 1.42 August 24 patch notes:
According to Bethesda, the patch for consoles today is the same one the PC version got last week! It does fix something though. Here’s what Bethesda had to say about it:
Hi everyone,
Our plans for this hotfix have changed a bit. We are going to start by releasing it for PC versions of the game tomorrow, and then monitor some of the changes it contains before we release the hotfix for console versions of the game closer to the end of the week.
We will begin PC maintenance at 10:00 a.m. ET on Tuesday, August 18. With this hotfix, we’re going to enable the new public event “A Colossal Problem” and apply a few bug fixes. During downtime, PC players will be unable to log into or play Fallout 76, but keep an eye on this thread after maintenance begins, and we will let you know as soon as we’ve brought the game back online. Console players will not be affected by this, and will still be able to play normally during PC downtime.
Thank you very much!
