New Splinter Cell Game Possibly Revealed in GameStop Product Listing

New Splinter Cell Game Revealed in GameStop Product Listing

While Ubisoft has already explained why we haven’t seen a new Splinter Cell game, it seems the rumors just won’t die down. A GameStop product listing has inadvertently revealed a new Splinter Cell game through the product description. The listing itself was for a set of the iconic Sam Fisher goggles, seen in all Splinter Cell titles, which has now been removed from GameStop’s website. Check out the image of the product listing below and read on for more details.

The listing in question used to be live here. But the URL is now dead, and the product is nowhere to be seen on GameStop’s website. It’s likely that GameStop employees were testing the arrangement of images and text on their website without realising that they were working on the live version, or if they did, then they hoped no one would notice. Unlucky for them, a Reddit user was able to snag a screenshot before the listing disappeared.

The product listing text read as follows. “For the first time since the introduction of Splinter Cell in 2002, after nine top-selling AAA+ titles, and with the 10th release on the horizon, this is your first chance to own Sam Fisher’s signature Ultra High-Frequency Sonar Goggles.” As you’ve no doubt noticed, the description references an upcoming Splinter Cell title ‘on the horizon’, yet Ubisoft hasn’t announced a new Splinter Cell game.

We’ve reached out to Ubisoft for a comment and will update the post if and when we get a reply.
