Resident Evil Village update 1.101 has been released on all platforms today, and this is to add accessibility options to the action horror game. Read on for what’s new in the RE Village October 14 patch notes. Also of note, for those in Japan, the game is called Biohazard Village.

Here’s the announcement from Capcom about the game’s latest title update:

A free accessibility update for all Resident Evil Village users is coming alongside the Winters’ Expansion and Gold Edition in October, adding:

– Subtitle size, color & background toggles
– Speaker name display in story mode
– Closed captions
– Permanent reticle

The Winters’ Expansion is premium (read: paid) DLC that’s out on October 28. Check out gameplay of the expansion featuring Rose right here.
