Steam Down on October 28
Uh-oh, for those looking for some game time once they get home from work, that might not be feasible now if you’re on PC, as Steam is down. Yes, the entire platform is down on October 28 affecting users worldwide.
Reports are flooding in from users that not only is Steam down, but there are issues logging in as well.
Steam Is Down and Results in Failed and Slow Logins on October 28
Not only did downdetector for Steam explode, but based on our own tests, there is a chance you’ll be able to login, but it’s slow as a snail, or might even result in an error.
So far, Valve has not issued any announcements regarding the outage. We’re currentlt left in the dark whether this is a DDoS attack (distributed denial of service), or a simple malfunction within the digital storefront’s backend. This is the second time this month that Steam went down, which is a bit worrying.
It’s bad timing, given Battlefield 6’s free-to-play battle royale, Battlefield RedSec, just launched today.
We’re on the lookout to see if Valve will offer an official statement, and once we know more, we’ll update the article with the info.
