Tekken 8 Ling Xiaoyu Gameplay Reveals Palm Strike Heat Attacks & Rage Art
Tekken‘s resident high-spirited Chinese martial artist is back, with an aggressive new take on her unique combat combat style. Bandai Namco Entertainment has now revealed the Tekken 8 Ling Xiaoyu gameplay trailer, showcasing her arsenal of blended palm strikes and sharp kicks, and a powerful new Rage Art that first disables and then blows her enemies away.
Watch the Tekken 8 Ling Xiaoyu gameplay trailer below:
Ling Xiaoyu’s combat style derives direct inspiration from both historical and fictional Chinese martial art styles. This is demonstrated in both her stances and Heat attacks, in which she works precise, controlled kicks between a flurry of jabs and palm strikes. For her new Rage Art, she switches out the barrage of kicks in her Tekken 7 Rage Art for a grapple that leads into several palm strikes and elbows across the opponent’s body, ending with an energy blast to the torso that sends the opponent flying.
Bandai Namco is regularly releasing Tekken 8 gameplay trailers in anticipation of the game’s launch, with trailers for Jin, Kazuya, Paul Phoenix, Marshall Law, King, Lars Alexandersson, Jack, and Jun Kazama having come out in the last few weeks. The game will launch for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S at a currently-unspecified time.
