For those waiting on XDefiant’s release date to be revealed, well, you’ll have to keep on waiting, as Ubisoft has no announcements for it just yet other than it’s still on track for summer.
However, we have some bad news to share today, as Ubisoft has confirmed that XDefiant will launch first on current-gen platforms (PS5, Xbox Series X|S) and PC. For last-gen (PS4, Xbox One), they are still on the table, though there’s no specific window for its launch just yet.
Here’s the recent announcement from the XDefiant devs:
A small update as we’re continuing to review feedback from the Open Session!
📅 Plan is still to launch later this summer.
🎮 Launch will be on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. We’re working on last-gen platforms for later.
👍 We’ll provide more updates as they’re available.— XDefiant (@PlayXDefiant) July 7, 2023
As you can see, the current release date is still for summer, though there’s no definite date for it yet. If we had to hazard a guess, it would be sometime in mid-August. Once we know more info about it, we’ll let our readers know.
Are you bummed by this news or should devs leave last-gen completely?
