Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Characters Stats Ranked From Best to Worst

It hasn’t even been a whole week since its release, and already, the dedicated Dragon Ball fanbase has compiled a list containing all 182 Dragon Ball Sparking characters, ranking them from best to worst based on their different category of stats. Here’s a breakdown of some of those, including the highest-ranking overall characters.

Compiled by community members JG Fox and Treantz (Discord here) below, you’ll find a list of the top 10 characters for each major category, ranking characters from best to worst. The complete Excel sheet has all 182 characters ranked, but we figured we’d list the top 10, seeing as that’s usually where most will gravitate towards. Each category is broken down, with some characters recurring throughout the list.

Who Are the Best Characters in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero?

  1. Vegito Super Saiyan God

  5. Whis
  6. Broly(Z) Legendary Super Saiyan
  7. Jirin Full Power

  10. Fused Zamasu Half Corrupted

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero – Characters With the Best Attack + Defense States

  1. Anilaza
  2. Broly(Super) Super Saiyan Full Power

  6. Beerus
  7. Whis
  8. Goku(Super) Ultra Instinct
  9. Kale Super Saiyan Berserk
  10. Fused Zamasu Half Corrupted

It should come as no surprise, considering the number of players using him, but Gogeta(GT) Super Saiyan 4 makes most of these top 10 lists, with his overall being the highest-ranked, as well as having some of the highest when it comes to any attack stats. Even before this list was compiled, many had assumed he was an S-tier character, and this list only further reinforces that.

Elsewhere, to the surprise of no one, Mr. Satan (otherwise known as Hercule Satan) ranks as the worst character in terms of overall stats. Still, despite essentially being a joke character in both the show and games, he’s still pretty fun to use, as are most characters in Sparking Zero.

What do you think of these ranking lists? Were they pretty much what you were expecting, or were you surprised to see some of these characters on them? Let us know!

If you’re still on the fence about the game, head on over here for our review and why we think Sparking Zero was worth the wait.

  • Fixed an issue leaving the TE uncovered when using a Cover 2 shell on a Cover 1 coverage
  • Fixed an issue leaving an inside receiver uncovered when using a Cover 0 shell on Cover 2 Man coverages vs. Empty formations

Destiny 2 Down for Emergency Maintenance This October 16 to Investigate Bat and Weasel Errors

Following yesterday’s patch and downtime for Destiny 2, Bungie is conducting emergency maintenance for the game today!  If you’re seeing Destiny 2 down this October 16, this is why, and this is to investigate the increasing amount of Bat and Weasel errors showing up for players.

Destiny 2 Down This October 16 for Emergency Maintenance

The announcement was made just now, with no schedule on how long the servers will be out:

We will monitor the situation as it develops, and if once Bungie releases an update, we’ll add it to the article. In addition to the server downtime, Bungie is also actively working on a patch. While there’s no word if we are getting one today, we’ve listed the Destiny 2 known issues . Note that this is not the complete list but a target list of issues for the game.

Destiny 2 Down Known Issues:

  • Changing the platform setting “Others can communicate w/ voice, text, or invites”  does not take effect until the game has been restarted.
  • Players running Destiny with an integrated graphics card may encounter gameplay performance issues if the integrated graphics card does not meet the minimum required PC specs.
    • Laptops with Intel 12th generation Iris integrated graphics may crash in high-demand environments. Players can mitigate these crashes by ensuring Windows 10 is set to use only discrete graphics when running Destiny 2 via Windows->Settings->Graphics Settings, and selecting “High Performance” for Destiny 2.
  • Players using the PlayStation 4 version of Destiny 2 who receive BOAR errors should ensure that they have successfully downloaded the necessary Compatibility Files prior to entering the game.
  • Season Passes will be applied to the first account that signs in. If you plan to Cross Save but will use another character set, it’s recommended to set up Cross Save before logging in. For more information, click here.
  • To access Iron Banner, players must reach Guardian Rank 4, complete the Crucible introductory quest, then speak to Lord Saladin and complete the Iron Banner introductory quest.
  • Epic Games Store players receiving “Time Skew Maxed” and RUTABEGA errors may need to update their launcher. If this doesn’t help, players may have to press the Escape Key repeatedly after selecting a character to skip the opening cinematic.
  • Players progressing through The Final Shape campaign in a fireteam should avoid joining missions in-progress or swapping characters during the campaign to ensure progress is correctly recorded.
  • Players may experience a crash when attempting to reshape a weapon that is no longer present in their inventory. This can be resolved by beginning a craft of a new weapon then backing out.
  • The Micah-10 quest “The Veiled” cannot be completed unless players have completed the first mission of the Beyond Light campaign. This mission is available for all players to complete.

Once we get an update from Bungie, we’ll let our readers know.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Update 1.007.300 Released for Hotfix 28 and Brings DualSense Fixes

Larian Studios is back with another update for Baldur’s Gate 3! Called Hotfix 28, players can expect crash and block fixes and a slew of modding changes as well. Those on consoles, this will appear as Baldur’s Gate 3 update 1.,007.300 and has the same patch notes as the PC version.

Those on PS5, rejoice! This brings fixes to the DualSense issues that made the lightbar act like a disco light and all.

What’s New in Baldur’s Gate 3 Hotfix 28 This October 16?

Another small hotfix for all platforms is coming your way today! Hotfix #28 addresses a few crashes and blockers, integrates a handful of gameplay bug fixes, and resolves some issues with the Mod Manager.

This hotfix also fixes an issue with multiplayer, where some players were getting caught in an enable–disable loop in the Mod Verification Window when trying to disable a mod that the host doesn’t have.

MODDING

  • On PS5, the ‘Continue’ button will now work the same as the ‘Load Game’ screen in that it won’t allow you to start a game if there are any mod issues.
  • On console, when loading a savegame that has unresolved mod issues, the Mod Verification Window will no longer keep asking you to re-download or uninstall mods when the action has already been taken.
  • Resolved an issue with mod dependencies not being loaded in the correct order after enabling/disabling some mods.

Mod Manager

  • Fixed the animated downloading bar not appearing in the Mod Verification Window after you click ‘Download’.
  • Fixed the horizontal scrollbar on the Mod Details page not being vertically centred between the arrows that flank it.
  • Fixed a bug preventing you from opening the Mod Manager on PC when using a controller.
  • Fixed the button prompts in the Mod Details page not updating correctly when using a controller.
  • Fixed the filter tags in the Mod Manager not appearing in localised languages and made sure that the English string is shown as a backup in case there’s an issue with fetching the translation.
  • The mod browser scrollbar now resets to the top when you navigate to a previous or next page
  • On PS5, the Mod Manager now correctly reports the amount of remaining memory after uninstalling a mod.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when changing pages in the Mod Manager.
  • Fixed clients on a multiplayer game getting caught in an enable–disable loop in the Mod Verification Window when trying to disable a mod that the host doesn’t have.
  • Updated the ‘Explicit Content’ filter’s name to ‘Mature Content’.
  • Updated the name of the Mod Issues window to ‘Mod Verification Window’ to more accurately reflect what the window is for, and updated its description.

GAME

Gameplay

  • Improved loading times for players with many mods installed.
  • You can no longer add items to your wares even if they cannot become wares (e.g. pact weapons) by selecting them along with another item that can become a ware. This prevents a trade exploit where you could sell your wares and the bound items would not leave your inventory. Any more of these up your sleeves?
  • Fixed Honour Mode features, like Legendary Actions, carrying over to non-Honour-Mode games if you’d previously loaded an Honour Mode save.
  • On PS5, fixed the DualSense lightbar updating colours every single frame of the game when a new user logs in with a new controller.
  • Resolved an issue with Wyll opting for negative greeting nodes even when he does like you.
  • Fixed the character models becoming offset in the Trade UI when switching between trade and barter when using a controller.

Crashes and Blockers

  • Fixed a crash when trying to load into a playthrough rather than a particular savegame within that playthrough.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when loading a savegame.
  • On PS5, fixed a potential crash when going full disco on the DualSense lightbar.

If you haven’t updated the game in a while, the huge Patch 7 content drop brought in Evil Endings and a lot more.

Microsoft Pulls $1 Xbox Game Pass Trial Just Days Before Black Ops 6 Release Date

In a surprising move, Microsoft has pulled the $1 trial option for Xbox Game Pass just days before the highly anticipated release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. This decision comes at a crucial time, as many gamers had hoped to use the affordable trial to access the game through Game Pass on launch day.

Microsoft has quietly removed the $1, 14-day Game Pass trial, a popular option for new subscribers looking to try the service at a low cost. This removal comes just over a week before Black Ops 6 is set to release, a game available at launch for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. Without the trial, players now must pay full price for a Game Pass subscription to access the game on its release day.

Xbox Game Pass tiers
Xbox removes $1 Game Pass trial ahead of Black Ops 6 launch.

This move comes after other changes from Microsoft that upset fans. Back in July, Xbox raised the prices for Game Pass across all tiers and made first-party games like Black Ops 6 available on day one only for Game Pass Ultimate members. This went against what Microsoft had promised earlier—that all first-party games would be available to everyone on day one, which left many in the Xbox community frustrated.

Without the $1 trial, gamers looking to play Black Ops 6 have fewer options. Since Game Pass Ultimate costs $20 a month, it’s better to buy the game for $70 if Black Ops 6 is the main game you want to play. Unless you plan to use other games on Game Pass, like MLB The Show 24 or Dead Island 2, paying for a monthly subscription might not be worth it.

Despite the changes, Xbox Game Pass remains one of the best deals in gaming, offering a vast library of games on consoles, PCs, and mobile devices. With major releases like Black Ops 6 available at launch for Ultimate members, it continues to be a go-to option for many gamers. However, removing the $1 trial makes it tougher for budget-conscious players to access these benefits without paying full price.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be available on October 25 for the PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Pact of Omens Traits gift your Hunter with sharpened senses that allow tactical advantages in both sound and sight.

Blast Sense: Loud sounds such as gunshots and explosions are highlighted while in Dark Sight.

Conditional Trait Effects:

Pain Sense: Effect is visible when low on Stamina.

The Wilderness Pact

Restore, Revive, Revenge: The Wilderness Pact preserves the mountains’ integrity and punishes those who corrupt it.

Wilderness Traits make your Hunter more mobile and equipped for exploration.

Pact Trait

Surefoot: You can sprint while using First Aid Kits and Consumable Shots and while priming Throwables. Additionally, Hunters will move faster when crouched.

Conditional Trait Effects:

Beastface: You will not be noticed at all by wildlife, and you will not break branches.

The Smugglers Pact

Loot and Profit: The Smugglers Pact seeks wealth amongst the carnage of this haunted season.

Smugglers Traits heavily arm your Hunter and allow for fast map traversal.

Pact Trait:

Gunrunner: Allows two Large Slot weapons on your Hunter and applies Quartermaster.

Conditional Trait Effects:

Greyhound: Sprint faster while carrying a Bounty Token.

Sealed Rewards

New Custom Ammo on Existing Weapons

  • Bomb Launcher/Lance Harpoon
  • Hand Crossbow Revive Bolt
Developer’s Note:

Revive Bolts are a new ammo type for Hand Crossbows, letting you revive and heal teammates from a distance. While dealing no damage, they open new opportunities to support teammates mid-fight.

GENERAL UPDATES

Gunplay

  • Changed the behavior of Throwing Tools to require aim while throwing them.
  • Reduced the level of zoom on Deadeye weapons.
  • Reduced ballistic performance of silenced versions of the Vetterli, Frontier, and Nagant.

Scope Updates

A new drop helper has been added to help gauge your distance to your target. This new helper consists of a thicker vertical line below the center of the crosshair—when a full Hunter from head-to-toe fits in-between the two, you are exactly at the Drop Range distance of that weapon. With this information, you can:

  • Quickly determine if you actually need to adjust your aim to account for drop or not.
  • Use the scale of a Hunter to determine how much to account for drop.

Melee Weapons & Tools

  • Made changes to the Throwing Spear’s balancing:
    • Base throw damage has been reduced to 200.
      • Throw damage to the leg has been reduced to 110.
    • Melee Damage has been reduced:
      • Light attack: 70
      • Heavy attack: 147
    • Damage dealt pulling the Throwing Spear from a target has been reduced.
    • Light melee attack speed has been reduced.
    • Velocity has been reduced to 40m/s.
    • You can no longer sprint while charging or aiming the spear unless you have the Surefoot Trait.
  • Rebalanced equipped melee weapons, improving damage and Stamina consumption on all weapons apart from the Katana.
  • Increased Stamina consumption on the Katana.
  • Increased damage, throw rate, and throw accuracy for Throwing Knives.

Gameplay

  • Changed the Bulwark Trait to no longer save the player from a Bomb Lance explosion
  • Allowed Beetle spawns to appear in Soul Survivor
  • Restoration now also refills Dark Sight Boost when the player has a Bounty Token
  • Rebalanced projectile penetration and fixed a bug in the system that didn’t reduce damage correctly after the first successful wall penetration
Developer’s Note:

With this bug fix, the balancing for how projectiles lose damage when penetrating walls has been adjusted slightly. Overall, the penetration multipliers have been normalized and slightly simplified. Nothing changed on the general rule of Compact Ammo being the weakest to penetrate, and Long Ammo the strongest.

Compact bullets received some slight improvements to ensure they work similarly as before. Medium bullets retain their damage slightly better through the first layer of penetration as well, but lose more damage in further penetrations. Long bullets have seen some adjustments to their multipliers overall. FMJ bullets in general retain their damage better with the first penetration, but are weaker with successive penetrations.

Meta

Bounty Token Value Normalization

  • Updated the value of all Bounty Tokens to 125, regardless of region or Contract
Developer’s Note

: We had two goals with this change: first, making it clearer how much a Bounty Token is worth, and second, making small region Targets more appealing to engage with. This change results in a net increase of Bounty available across all Contracts and should shake up your decision-making process in deciding which Target to go for.

  • Reduced the number of random Weapon Family unlocks from Blueprints from 3 to 1
Developer’s Note:

With the removal of Custom Ammo from our unlockable Weapon Families, we drastically reduced the overall number of unlocks and XP required to unlock all items. With this in mind, we’re reducing the number of unlocks from Blueprints, initially increased to ensure that slightly higher thresholds for the individual unlocks introduced in Update 1.15 wouldn’t be too challenging or time-consuming to overcome. Blueprints still grant a single, random item unlock, as opposed to a specific unlock for your carried weapon from Gun Oil.

  • Moved Fire and Choke Beetle unlocks to Bloodline Rank 27
  • Moved the Dauntless Trait unlock to Bloodline Rank 1
  • Replaced vacant rank rewards with Hunt Dollars

Trait Changes

Conduit:

  • Added Solo Conditional Effect: Investigating one Clue gives the same map progress of investigating two Clues.

Pain Sense (Formerly Poison Sense):

  • Poison Sense has undergone a rework and has been renamed Pain Sense. The Trait now highlights Hunters who are bleeding, burning, or poisoned in Dark Sight.
  • Cost increased from 1 Upgrade Point to 3 Upgrade Points.

Lightfoot:

  • Added Solo Conditional Effect: Players make reduced noise when crouched. This Conditional Effect has been moved from Surefoot to Lightfoot.

Berserker:

  • Has now become a Scarce Trait.

Bulwark:

  • Will no longer protect you from a Bomb Lance explosion when stuck.

Rarity Updates

Developer’s Note: We acknowledge that upon launch of Hunt: Showdown 1896, the Rarity of some content felt inconsistent, or did not resonate with our players. As such, we have decided to update the Rarity of some content to better conform with our design philosophy and our players’ expectations.

Scorched Earth (Battle Pass)

  • Updated the Rarity of Shrewd Savior (Krag) from Rare to Legendary.
  • Updated the Rarity of Thunderstroke (Rival 78) from Epic to Legendary.
  • Updated the Rarity of Salted Earth (Dynamite Bundle) from Rare to Legendary.
  • Updated the Rarity of Forest Sting (Scottfield Precision) from Epic to Legendary.
  • Updated the Rarity of Gilded Maul (Railroad Hammer) from Rare to Epic.
  • Updated the Rarity of Gold Reliable (Derringer Pennyshot) from Rare to Epic.
Developer’s Note: The Scorched Earth Battle Pass saw some almost identical content with widely ranging Rarities. We have decided to retroactively update and upgrade these.

Double or Nothing (DLC)

  • Updated the Rarity of Hyde (Pax) from Uncommon to Rare.
Developer’s Note: We acknowledge that the Hyde (Pax) Skin that is part of the Double of Nothing DLC originally had its Rarity set up incorrectly. The Hyde is part of a matching set with the Jekyll (Pax) of the same DLC. We intend for the level of detail and complexity to be the same for both Skins. As such, we have decided to update the Rarity of Hyde (Pax) accordingly.

Dark Tribute

  • Updated the Rarity of Bad Hand from Mythic to Legendary.
  • Updated the Rarity of Union Suit: Red Drawers from Mythic to Legendary.
  • Updated the Rarity of Union Suit: Sunday Best from Mythic to Legendary.
Developer’s Note : We acknowledge that the Mythic Rarity does not fit the Dark Tribute Hunters Bad Hand and Union Suit, as they have been (and are subject to be) re-run as rewards via other in-game mechanics and frameworks (e.g., Twitch Drops). As such, we are updating their Rarity accordingly.

UI

  • Paper doll will now be used in Gear screens so that your loadout will remain visible across equipment screens
  • Dedicated Play button has been added to the top nav
  • Full shortcut button and key binding pass has been added for clarity, consistency, and ease of use
  • Filters and sorting are now remembered between Missions
  • KDA will now be shown in Player Details from Lobby
  • Charms can now be placed on any number of Weapons again
  • Teammate Hunter levels will now be shown in the Lobby
  • When recruiting a Hunter, the Hunter will now be automatically selected
  • Affordable and unaffordable/available and unavailable Traits are now easier to differentiate
  • The Grid View is now set as the standard view for Recruit Screen, including a “Free Hunter” button as well as a “Recruit All Hunters” button. Dedicated buttons for All Recruits/Free Recruits have been added.
  • “Show 3D Item” now present in the contextual side panel
  • We have also added a total of 461 bug fixes.

World

  • Level: Mammon’s Gulch:
    • Changed Spawn Points in Preston Oil to avoid potentially unfair spawn fights.
    • Various player movement improvements have been made around Preston Oil.
    • Fixed some stuck spots and improved player movement over logs in Deadfall Timber.
    • Hellborn can now appear in the northern area of Blackthorn Stockyard (New Potential Spawn Location)

BUG FIXES:

  • Fixed an issue where the Relentless Trait would be given from a Rift instead of the Remedy Trait in Soul Survivor
  • Fixed an issue where the Sparks ammo switch could be interrupted early.
  • Fixed an issue where recruiting a new Hunter with no Hunters on the roster caused an unselected state, allowing the player to load in without a Hunter.
  • Resolved a cosmetic bug where weapon Skins showed different Tooltip UI values than non-skinned versions. Affected weapons: Frontier Silencer, Frontier Marksman, and Springfield Bullseye. Also fixed the drop range HUD while ADS.
  • Fixed an issue where teams would load into the “PvP Off” Shooting Range, despite the Lobby showing otherwise.
  • Addressed an exploit where Hunters rendered at 500m while other certain objects did not.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 PC – Major Features:

And last, the features you’ll be able to take advantage of. This isn’t a complete list of features that PC gamers will have for Black Ops 6, though Activision notes that they are amongst the major ones. They’re the typical upscaling features that you can find from AMD, though it’s still nice knowing that FSR 3 will be supported nonetheless.

AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution

  • AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 transforms your gaming experience with faster, more responsive framerates in Black Ops 6 using super resolution temporal upscaling and advanced frame generation.

Advanced Frame Generation Technologies

  • The FSR Frame Generation toggle found in your graphics settings allows you to enable Frame Generation, which significantly increases your framerate and works seamlessly with other upscaling solutions.

AMD FidelityFX Contrast Adaptive Sharpening (CAS)

  • An overhead sharpening slider can help bring more details to edges of weapons, players, and environments.

AMD FSR 3.1 is compatible with a wide range of graphics cards from AMD and other vendors, delivering exceptional upscaling image quality and massive performance boosts when gaming at 4K or 1440p.

The studio also recommends you have the following drivers downloaded ahead of launch:

Recommended Drivers

  • AMD24.8.1
  • NVIDIA560.70
  • INTEL32.0.101.5972

How exciting! This time next week, you should have everything you need downloaded and ready to go for the following Friday. As always, we’ll be right there at launch with the rest of you, with our review ready to go in the weeks to follow, so be on the look out for that!

Given the major patch that just introduced a ton of content, this new title update brings fixes and nothing more. Those on consoles will see this as PowerWash Simulator update 1.16 on last-gen, and version 1.015 on current-gen platforms.

What’s in the New PowerWash Simulator Update for October 15?

While the studio hasn’t issued any announcements officially, one of the devs did reply to a Steam thread asking what got changed.

  • Animation tweaks in Aquarium level.
  • Fixed Join a players co-op game button spamming from causing issues.

To give players easier access to social features, especially on controllers, we’ve added the ability to interact with the Scoreboard. The Interactive Scoreboard is intended to make reporting faster and easier, but also to improve your social experience through whatever channels you prefer to communicate in or avoid entirely. The following features are now accessible via Interactive Scoreboard:

  • Adjusting Mic Volume of other players
  • Adjusting your Mic Volume
  • Reporting other players
  • Joining/Leaving Team Voice Chat
  • Joining/Leaving Group Voice Chat
  • Muting Team Text Chat
  • Muting Match Text Chat
  • Muting Text Chat of other players
Matchmaking Updates
  • Tuning changes to reduce queue times for Wide matches in Competitive Play.
  • Loss Streak avoidance tuned down to prevent cases where it could increase worst case scenario queue times.

Developer Comments: We’re not seeing any measurable impact from this tech in preventing loss streaks and we’re concerned it might be making queue times longer. So we’re scaling it back for now.

  • Role Delta tuning tightened, to try to match Ranks on the roles on each team more closely.

Developer Comments: We believe that match quality improves significantly when you are matched closely with one of the members on the opposing team in the same role. We believe we can tighten this preference without significantly impacting queue times.

  • Role Delta has been updated to prioritize the Tank Role above other roles.

Developer Comments: We’ve been thinking about how to improve the Tank experience from every angle, to give them more even matchups and reduce 1-sided matches for the whole team further.

  • At higher Ranks the effects of MMR Decay, Winning Trend, Losing Trend, and Calibration have been reduced.

Developer Comments: At our highest ranks these modifiers could sometimes allow very high skill players playing on new accounts to get lucky and surpass their peak ranks considerably, without actually earning their new rank like other players that have played more on their accounts.

  • At higher Ranks the matchmaker now takes into account the benefits of grouping when constructing matches.

Developer Comments: At the highest ranks, groups have had noteworthy advantages against teams composed of all solo players for some time now. Our aim with this addition isn’t to remove the advantage of grouping at higher ranks entirely, but we’d like the advantage of grouping at higher ranks to be less extreme.

Public Custom Games
  • Hosting Public Custom Games now requires Endorsement Level 3.

Developer Comments: A reminder that we’ve been actioning accounts that post disruptive content in the Game Browser and we’re serious about removing problematic players that don’t follow our Code of Conduct. Whenever an account is actioned for a social penalty, they’re reduced to Endorsement Level 0, so the combination of social actions and this feature will allow for one chance to change their behavior before they’re permanently banned. Anyone that is below Endorsement Level 3 can still host games with the “Friends” or “Invite Only” settings, but they will not have access to the “Everyone” setting.

Streamer Protect
  • Access to the “Hide My Name” function of Streamer Protect now requires completing the “Unrelenting Hero” Lifetime Challenge.

Developer Comments: We’ve been listening to community feedback that newer accounts should be required to earn access to the feature, but it’s important that this feature can’t be abused by various types of disruptive players that tend to play on very new accounts. As a reminder, the “Hide My Name” feature does not prevent disruptive players from being punished when they’re reported since we know their actual battle tag behind the scenes.

Challenge Updates
  • Select challenges are now visible in the Main Menu.
  • Challenge Rewards can now be inspected in detail in the Challenges Menu.

Developer Comments: Challenges are now in the main menu to highlight their rewards, primarily for new Event Challenges.

SHOP UPDATES
  • Mythic Skin Aspects Add-on Cosmetic is now added to the Mythic Shop.
  • Overwatch League Store tab was removed and replaced by a separate button in the bottom of the main Shop tab.
COMPETITIVE UPDATES

The requirements to appear on the Top 500 Leaderboard have changed:

  • Win requirement per season reduced from 50 to 25.
  • The Seasoned Competitor challenge (750 lifetime wins in Competitive Play) is now required to be completed to be eligible for any Top 500 Leaderboard starting in Season 12.

HERO UPDATES

General
  • Swapping your hero hides your selection on the enemy scoreboard for 15 seconds.

Developer Comments: This change adds a more friction to counterswapping, especially in the extreme case where two players on opposite teams are both sitting in spawn with the scoreboard open and rapidly switch their heroes in response to each other’s choices.

TANK

Mauga

Developer Comment: Increasing the duration of Mauga’s burn effect will help better reward going for the smaller, harder to hit targets.

Incendiary Chaingun
  • Ignite damage over time duration increased from 3 to 4 seconds.

Ramattra

Developer Comments: Ramattra’s Pummel projectiles passing through barriers was a source of frustration for players trying to protect themselves or their allies. With these changes enabling Ramattra to deal critical damage to barriers, he will still be a valuable hero choice against barrier mechanics, but won’t immediately apply damage to players on the other side.

Pummel
  • No longer pierces barriers.
  • Now deals 2.5x more damage to barriers.

Reinhardt

Developer Comments: This is just some fine tuning for the barrier health and regeneration rate as it had become slightly too tough to break through.

Barrier Field
  • Barrier Field health reduced from 1600 to 1500.

Damage

Hanzo

Developer Comments: We are reverting Hanzo back to his previous health now that it’s possible to take out an opposing Hanzo with a well-aimed headshot thanks to the weapon damage changes.

  • Base health increased from 225 to 250.

Sojourn

Developer Comments: These Railgun changes swap out the 25 minimum energy it decays to for a longer time before it begins to degenerate which alleviates some of the pressure to quickly use the secondary fire. Disruptor shot is getting a damage increase to helps its effectiveness as an area denial tool, andlong with additional utility through generating a small amount of Railgun energy to make it more broadly useful.

Railgun
  • Energy no longer stops degenerating at 25 energy.
  • Time before energy degeneration begins increased from 7 to 12 seconds.
Disruptor Shot
  • Damage per second increased from 60 to 80
  • Now generates 25% of damage done to enemy players as Railgun energy.

Sombra

Developer Comments: This is a significant change to Sombra’s playstyle in the hopes of making her more interactive for the opposing team and shifting some of her power from the utility of Stealth and Hack into increased lethality.

Stealth having a limited duration less than the Translocator cooldown is intended to create brief windows of vulnerability. It still enables Sombra to cross through dangerous areas unseen, but to really hang around in the enemy backline will require moving from cover-to-cover similar to other flanking heroes. No longer having the stealth movement speed removed upon taking damage also enhances its usefulness as an escape tool.

Hack
  • No longer ends Stealth but does reveal Sombra.
  • Hacked ability lockout effect duration reduced from 1.5 to 1.0 seconds (EMP duration unchanged).
  • BOB hacked stun duration reduced from 10 to 3 seconds.
Translocator
  • Cooldown increased from 5 to 7 seconds.
EMP
  • Ultimate cost increased 12%.
Stealth
  • No longer passive and now activates by using Translocator.
  • Now has a 5 second duration.
  • Added stealth timer around the reticle and removed ability icon.
  • Taking damage now reveals Sombra for 1 second instead of ending stealth.
Opportunist
  • The Opportunist passive has been added back in.
  • Increases Sombra’s weapon damage versus hacked targets by 20%.
  • See critically injured enemies through walls.

SUPPORT

Baptiste

Developer Comment: This change is aimed at reducing the fatigue resulting from controlling the recoil over longer periods of play more than trying to add power to Baptiste’s primary fire.

Biotic Launcher
  • Primary fire recoil reduced by 30%.

Brigitte

Developer Comment: Brigitte’s healing output over the course of a match is quite high, so this is just a slight adjustment to help bring that in line.

Repair Pack
  • Cooldown increased from 5 to 5.5 seconds.

Juno

Developer Comments: Juno’s healing output is too high for how much mobility she possesses so we’re shortening her falloff range to increase the importance of positioning well with her mobility abilities.

Mediblaster
  • Falloff range reduced from 30-50 meters to 20-35 meters.
  • Healing per projectile reduced from 6.5 to 6.

MAP UPDATES

CLASH
  • Capture time on the final objective points A and E now increases for Attackers as segments get secured consecutively from 1x /1x / 1x to 0.7x /1.1x /1.4x, to make the first segment easier to capture for attackers but consecutive ones harder.
  • Defenders now respawn instantly as the first segment and second segment get secured instead of when the previous objective points B or D get captured.
  • Unlock time for final objective points A and E has been increased from 25 seconds to 27.5 seconds.
  • Decay rate on final objective points A and E have been doubled for attackers to not lose their progress as quickly when stepping off the point.
  • Capture time for defenders on objective points B and D has been increased by 10% to give attackers more opportunities to attack the point.

Developer Comments: We want to reduce the number of one-sided stomps occurring in the Clash game mode. We also want to address the difficulty of securing at least one segment on the final objective points as attackers. So, we tweaked the capture time for the defending team to make the fight for objective points B and D a bit more favorable for attackers.

  • Lowered some high ground around first point.
  • Easier access to flank routes around first point.
  • Combined the paths in the building behind the payload on first point – one room that connects everything.

In fact, the additions last year felt much more substantial with the gameplay to where this year’s feels much more like a roster update than anything else. ”

Destiny 2 Update 3.41 Brings Super Short List of Changes This Oct. 15

As part of today’s maintenance, Bungie released a new Destiny 2 patch officially called version 8.1.0.1. Those on consoles will see this as Destiny 2 update 3.41 on last-gen, and version 1.136 on current-gen. There’s not a lot of changes made in this patch which tweaks the Nightfall and Onslaught activities.

What’s New in Destiny 2’s Update for October 15?

Activities

Nightfalls

  • Nightfall activities on Expert difficulty or higher now feature combatants with Banes.

Onslaught

  • Fixed an issue where Eventide Ruins on Expert mode did not grant the correct starting enemy Power level or increase Power level when completing waves.

That’s about it. We should be getting a bigger patch near the end of the month to bring this year’s Festival of the Lost rewards and event into the game, and once that’s made public, we’ll be sure to let our reader sknow.
