Battlefield 2042 Update 1.000.069 for Patch 8.5.0 Brings Loading Screen Improvements and More
[summaraize]
DICE has issued another small patch for Battlefield 2042 on all platforms this February 18, for version 8.5.0. You should see those on consoles as Battlefield 2042 update 1.000.069 on PS5/XSX, and download version 1.66 on PS4/XB1.
Players can expect this patch to bring an improved loading screen, various vehicle adjustments and more. Again, this is a small patch that’s aimed at fixing a few known issues more than anything else.
Battlefield 2042’s New Update for February 18 Brings Short List of Fixes
Here’s what’s new per EA:
General
- Fixed overlapping input prompts on the deploy screen.
AI
- AI soldiers should no longer die out of bounds when fighting in the shipwreck.
Vehicles
- Added insertion sequence for the UH-60 Black Hawk.
- Camera transition should now be smoother when switching views in seats while in a vehicle.
- Fixed a bug where projectiles would despawn when firing from above the air vehicle max height.
Progression
- Fixed an issue where players were unable to purchase the accelerated event pass if all levels were completed before the purchase.
Given DICE is hard at work on the next entry in the franchise, which we’re hoping is released this year, don’t expect a lot more updates for BF2042 outside of fixes, and maybe Vault content drops from time to time.
