Divinity: Original Sin 2 Update 1.007

With Larian Studios shadow dropping the current-gen (PS5, Xbox Series X|S) version of Divinity: Original Sin 2 in December last year, most people assumed that was it for the game’s native current-gen version.

Apparently, that’s not the case, as Larian Studios has released Divinity: Original Sin 2 update 1.007 (complete version 1.007.000) on consoles today.

This is understandably a minor update that aims to resolve performance issues and frame rate drops.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 Performance Improved for PS5, Xbox Series X|S via Update 1.007

Here’s what Larian had to say about today’s title update:

Changes

  • Resolved some issues causing performance and FPS drops on Xbox.
  • Fixed a bug preventing you from equipping items even if the equipment conditions were met.
  • Improvements to loading speed for some savegames.
  • The Teleportation skill should now allow you to move items on Xbox.
  • Fixed multiplayer disconnection issues on Xbox.

Don’t expect a lot of patches for the game given it is feature-complete and was just ported to current-gen platforms.

In case you didn’t know, a new Divinity game is in development and will be “way better” than Baldur’s Gate 3, claims Larian’s CEO.

Once a new patch is out, or we hear more about the new Divinity game, we’ll let our readers know.
