Gothic 1 Remake Version 1.0.1 Adds Lockpick Difficulty Indicator, Balance Adjustments via Update 1.000.006
Alkimia Interactive has released the third patch for Gothic 1 Remake today, June 12, and this time, it’s for all platforms.
Called the version 1.0.1 patch, console gamers will see this download as Gothic 1 Remake update 1.000.006, and this is the action-RPG’s first major title update.
The developers have added a new lockpick difficulty indicator, which should significantly help in that area and is something the community has voiced out on since release, as well as balance changes and more.

Gothic 1 Remake’s New Update on June 12 Makes Lockpcking Easier
Additions:
– Added lockpick difficulty indicator.
– Various Localization & Text fixes.
Technical Bugfixes:
– Fixed some forge station interactions.
– Fixed crashes with DLSS and FSR.
– Fixed economy exploits.
– The Main Menu / Exit Game buttons now are disabled until the save is properly saved.
– Audio improvements like foot steps and attacks.
– Combat: Magnet and targeting issues fixed.
– NPC improved navigation.
– Crossbow disappear fixed and small archery fixes.
– Wallclimbing improvements.
– Various Crashfixes.
– Memory improvements.
Quest Bugfixes:
– Forged Rivalries Quest now marked as completed regardless of which outcome was choosen.
– Swamp Camp Forge chests ownership updated.
– Old Camp Forge items ownership updated.
– Fix for several impacts from “Storm of Fire” spell.
– Minecrawler Queen now correctly grants XP.
– Lee’s routine to dam conversation.
– Kirgo, Kharim and Gor Hanis quest can now fail in the appropriate situation.
– NPCs near campfires play correct animations.
– Fixed an issue which prevents player to start Torrez quest.
– Fixed an issue which blocks player from becoming fire mage.
– Gomez key is not looteable until Chapter 5.
– Theron now approaches you to finish his quest.
– Abandoned Mine key is not looteable until Caine quest starts.
– Various level fixes about navigation, links and spawners.
– Fixed a bug which prevents Gorn to join the Troll fight.
– Fixed an issue which allows to join Old Camp after joining other camps.
– Gorn now executes guards in the Free mine.
– Fixed inactivity from blackmailers after being defeated.
– Fixed Tarrok inactivity after Ulumulu.
– Access to Outlaw camp is checked now.
– Thorus permission for swamp camp members can now be obtained in different ways.
– Syras quest is fixed for player who have beaten Bullit before.
Balancing Changes:
– Stone Golem:
-Resistance to blunt weapons decreased.
-Resitance to wind spells decreased.
-Gomez:
– Resistences and health are increased.
– Area attack distance is increased.
– Balancing updates for these creatures:
– Biter.
– Bloodfly.
– Harpy.
– Minecrawler Queen.
– Minecrawler Warrior.
– Orcdog.
– Razor.
– Snapper.
– Zombie.
– Increased damage for endgame spells.
Sound:
– Continuous sound for healing spell added.
– Xardas’ demon now has an effect on his voice.
– Various sound effects volume balancing and adjustments.
– Better and extended ducking of sound effects during conversations.
– Music transitions within the old camp castle fixed.
– More ambient SFX added to world.
– Sound effect for lightning strikes now works more reliably (it was sometimes played underground and got occluded).
