Battlefield 2042 Server Browser Feature for All-Out Warfare Not Happening, DICE Confirms “No Plans” for It

Battlefield 2042 all chat release

For those still holding out hope for a Battlefield 2042 server browser for All-Out Warfare, it seems that’s not coming anytime soon — or if ever –as DICE has confirmed that they are not working on it.

This was revealed by DICE’s Community Manager Tom Straatman in a”Dev Corner” Twitch stream where the developers talked about the launch of Season 2: Master of Arms today.

One thing we wanted to help manage your expectations on is your request to bring a server browser to All-Out Warfare. Presently, we have no plans to re-introduce a second server browser, or modify the existing Portal server browser experience to include All-Out Warfare. – Tom Straatman, DICE Community Manager

What’s odd here is, Battlefield Portal has a server browser, and you’d think that the main mode, All-Out Warfare, should at the very least, be at par with it. Is this a case of taking too much work to implement? Other items on the list being higher in the priority food chain or something else? We can’t say for sure, but at the very least, if you were still hoping that a BF2042 server browser was part of the Season 3 roll out, then you can put that dreams to rest.

Speaking of Season 3, one of the promised changes incoming with the new season are the reworked Specialists that should make them behave more like the traditional Battlefield classes. As for Season 2, which just kicked off today, go check out the entire contents of this season’s Battle Pass right here, or check out the patch notes for Season 2, which include soldier animation changes and more.
