While EA confirmed that Season 7 of Battlefield 2042 will be the last one, that doesn’t mean support for the game is ceasing. Case in point: DICE just revealed the Battlefield 2042 Spring roadmap, and we’re getting a event titled “Crimson Front” on April 16!
The gameplay trailer for Crimson Front will be revealed tomorrow, but before that drops, DICE has outlined some of the things players can look forward to from April to June!
Battlefield 2042 Spring Roadmap Details:
April 16:
- Title Update 7,1 will be released bringing the Crimson Front event
April 30:
- Stadium map is released (read on here for more details about the map)
Mid-May:
- Update 7.2 roll out and will feature the XFDD-4 Draugr aerial vehicle and DFR Strife LMG
May – June:
- Future Strike Event
As you can see, there’s still quite a lot incoming for Battlefield 2042. Hopefully, there’s more support planned post-June, and once we know more about that, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.
While DICE might be moving on from BF2042, it’s not because they want to abandon the game, but rather, the studio is focusing on the next Battlefield game. Speaking of which, Motive Studio, the developer of the Dead Space remake, is forming a team within the studio to help DICE, Ripple Effect and Criterion in developing the next Battlefield game.
Expect the 7.1 patch to deal with the weapon visual recoil added in the Season 7 patch. Given it’s out next week, expect the patch notes to be available before the data download is released.
