The Witcher 3 Remastered Download Size, Global Release Times and Review Embargo Lift Dates Revealed
In case you missed the big announcement at gamescom last month, CD Projekt RED is set to unleash The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered this coming week, and it’ll be a free download for existing game owners.
For those wondering how much space you need to allocate on your hard disk for the download (or a new game install), we know the answer to that, and it’s a lot.
Not only that, but we also list the exact time RPG fans will be able to play the game.

The Witcher 3 Remastered update size has been shared by CD Projekt RED Global Community and Social Media Director Marcin Momot, and are as follows:

When Will The Witcher 3 Remastered Reviews Be Available?
When it comes to reviews, the review embargo lifts a day before the download is out, so expect it on September 28.

We can also publicly confirm that MP1st is reviewing The Witcher 3 Remastered, and we’re hoping that we’ll have it up in time for the embargo lift. I mean, the game is massive after all.
While the patch notes aren’t available yet, here’s a rundown of what to expect from the download:

Also of note, CD Projekt RED released a game update for The Witcher 3 last month across all platforms, and this upgrades the base game to the Complete Edition, which means the two major expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, will be free for everyone.
It will also bring mods to the console version of The Witcher 3, though don’t expect every PC mod to be available.
Aside from the remastered upgrade, CD Projekt RED also has Songs of the Past in development as The Witcher 3’s last story expansion, and it will tie the game to The Witcher 4, which is targeting a 2028 release.
