DICE has released Battlefield 2042 update 1.000.018, which is called hotfix 1.2.0.1, and is just for the PS5 version of the game. Given we just got the big version 1.2 title update earlier this month, don’t expect any new content, as this patch is purely for fixes. Read on for the BF2042 August 16 patch notes.

- We have resolved a stability issue that can occur for players on PlayStation 5 who are running the game in either Korean, or Traditional Chinese.
Yep, that’s about it. There is no downtime associated with this patch, so players can download it when they get a prompt.
While there’s no concrete date set yet for Season 2, DICE has revealed that more info about it will be shared this month, so stay tuned for that.
