While we already know that Battlefield V will have a battle royale mode called “Firestorm,” not much else is know about it, aside from the info and quick trailer we got early last month. Well, it looks like things are about to change starting next week!
As part of the Tides of War info drop coming next week, which we we reported on yesterday, Global Community Manager for Battlefield Dan Mitre confirmed that we will get an “update” on Firestorm as part of the news dropping for Tides of War.
Can’t wait to start talking about Firestorm! Everyone at the studio has been pouring their passion for Battlefield into the mode (and early play tests show that dedication!). Our focus next week is Tides of War, so inherently we’ll have an update on Firestorm.

What we know so far is this blurb below, which came from EA.
In Firestorm, 16 teams of four will fight it out to become the last squad standing on the largest Battlefield map ever. DICE has reimagined Battle Royale and is doing it the Battlefield way.
Will Firestorm be able to replicate what Blackout has done for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4? Given DICE’s familiarity with large scale battles, the studio should feel right at home. Same as always, once the news is made available, check back here on MP1st to hear of it first.
