Battlefield 5 Players Pushing for #SaveBFV Initiative for Continued Support

savebfv

With Battlefield 5 (or Battlefield V if you want to name it as DICE did) getting its last content drop this past week, players got a ton of new content in the form of new maps, weapons and more. It seems the current player base of Battlefield 5 isn’t ready for DICE to stop pushing out content for the game yet, as the #SaveBFV movement has been launched!

Over on Twitter, the hashtag #SaveBFV has players retweeting and sharing their thoughts on how they want DICE to continue supporting the game. There’s also a petition that has over 5,600 signees at the time of this writing! Even YouTubers are getting in on the act, as YouTuber Lossy has posted a video about it as well.

Will it work? I doubt it. Mind, DICE has said that they will continue to release patches for bug fixes and other gameplay-related changes, though I suspect that won’t be enough for the player base. That said, given DICE is hard at work on the next Battlefield game, patches and fixes might be the best players can hope for in the future.

Do you want DICE to continue making content for Battlefield 5 or should the studio just focus on making Battlefield 6 the best it can be?

I just glaze over when I see BFV news anymore. They REALLY went and trashed that game. Every patch just made it WORSE and WORSE.

It was at it’s best when they first released War in the Pacific. (Except for the stupid ridiculous imbalance with tanks.)

First patch after completely FUCKED that game. They’ve just fucked it up even harder every patch after.

Let BFV die. Given the fact that BF3 was the last actual, GOOD Battlefield game… I’m starting to lean toward “Let the franchise die.”
