Battlefield V on Consoles Performance Run Down

battlefield 5 french soldier skins

While the Battlefield franchise started on PC, there’s no denying how big of a fan base the franchise has on consoles. Sure, it might look less impressive than its PC counterparts, but it seems console Battlefield V players have nothing to worry about.

YouTuber TheTacticalBrit was fortunate enough to get some hands on time with the Xbox One X version of Battlefield V at gamescom, and he jotted down what he noticed during his playthrough.

According to TheTacticalBrit (Twitter link), the Xbox One X version was running at 4K resolution, and in comparison to PC, it looked like it was a mix of medium/high settings. The frame rate was between 50-60 frames-per-second (fps), with no noticeable drops, though it did dip into the high 40’s from time to time.

Based on the console’s performance, he estimates that Battlefield V will run similar to Battlefield 1, which is 4K resolution, 60fps on the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro, and 900-1000p resolution at 40-60fps on the base model PS4, and 720p-900p  at 40-60fps on the base model Xbox One.

Do note that these are based on an early build of the game, and as such, things might change come launch.

In other Battlefield V news, the Rotterdam gameplay embargo is set to lift tomorrow! So make sure to keep an eye on that. However, you can view some leaked footage of that right here. We also posted what the gun customization loadout screen looks like, so give that a look.
