Battlefield 6 Beta Is the Biggest in Franchise History; Stats Reveal Assault as Most Played Class
With the Battlefield 6 Open Beta now over, and the testing phase a bona fide success for publisher Electronic Arts (EA), we now have a list of stats to share courtesy of the dev team.
Before anything else, as if there was any doubt, EA has confirmed it: the Battlefield 6 Open Beta is the most successful in series history! While the publisher didn’t mention the exact number of participants, it’s estimated that over 20 million players logged in to check out the game.

I admit, I assumed the Support class would win the class pick rate by a mile given you can resupply ammo and provide health for your entire team in one go. But I guess the allure of punching enemies with the launcher proved to be the bigger draw. That, and the shotgun being way too overpowered, might have tipped it over the edge (which is confirmed to be getting a nerf).
Unfortunately, players missed the $1 trillion mark by a long shot, which isn’t surprising given that’s a ridiculous target. Will we be able to obtain the promised weapon skins another way? Let’s hope so.
