Battlefield Labs PS5 Gameplay Footage From Asia Playtest Leaks and It’s Looking Good So Far
[summaraize]
Last week, we reported on how the first Asia playtest for Battlefield Labs was set to be conducted this week on PS5. As expected, playtesters in China didn’t care about the NDA they signed, as a crapton of footage has surfaced, and yes, it features PS5 gameplay of the new Battlefield game.
Remember, the PS5 footage shared is from a pre-alpha build, which is evident from the bugs, weird graphical artifacts, and whatnot. That said, it is looking mighty fine for something in pre-alpha.
Below are two videos featuring gameplay, though you’ll probably want to focus on the 17-minute one, given that the player in it actually knows how to play.
New Battlefield Game PS5 Gameplay Looks Sweet Even in Pre-Alpha State
Update: EA has sent a DMCA takedown notice regarding the video, and we have complied with the request.
The videos come from playtesters in Asia who posted the footage on bilibili, China’s version of Twitter via the BF1 Telegram group. The footage above shows copius amounts of RPG shots, and some infantry-action that won’t make you roll your eyes in frustration.
There’s also another gameplay clip also shared on bilibili, and while this is longer, the actual person playing isn’t quite as good, though we still see a good amount of action.
The biggest takeaway I have from the leaked videos is how good the PS5 version is looking so far. Based on what we’ve seen so far, it’s hard not to get excited for the new Battlefield game,
In other Battlefield news, the BF Labs client just got a major update, and the datamined info seems to indicate the client is getting a full release soon — at least according to the leakers.
The in-development Battlefield game has no release date yet, but it’s reveal will be happening in the summer, which we assume will be next month as part of Summer Game Fest or via EA’s own event.
