It appears that Infinity Ward was serious when they said that this year’s Call of Duty would be different than past entries in the franchise, as new details have been revealed about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s multiplayer, and they’re a big departure from what fans are familiar with. First off, the “Modern warfare no mini map” rumor circulating has now been confirmed to be true!

In a video recently uploaded by TmarTn, which also features Drift0r and Chaos, the trio goes into details about their current visit to Activision Studio and have revealed a few bits of news info which you can find below.

  • There will be no mini map in the multiplayer, a change that will no doubt divide the COD community
  • Guns will have unique stats and feature over 40+ different types of attachments that vary from grips, scopes, stock, ect
  • The tank is a two-manned vehicle killstreak

Unfortunately, that’s all the new info the trio can share as they’re under an NDA (non-disclosure agreement). The wait won’t be long though, Activision will be blowing the lid wide open on all Modern Warfare multiplayer news this August 1! You can check out the multiplayer reveal schedule right here.

Given how most — if not all — the rumors we’ve posted have rang true so far, go check out more of the reports we’ve posted regarding the killstreaks rewards list, battle royale, weapons, and even perks and equipment.
