Destiny 2 Down on October 20, Expect a New Game Update
While Bungie has said that content support for Destiny 2 is over, that doesn’t mean they’ll stop working on the game completely.
Today, Bungie has taken the Destiny 2 servers down on October 20 across all platforms, and this is to bring patch 9.7.0.6.
This is a lengthy maintenance period compared to the past, so allocate your time accordingly.

Expect a round of fixes to be applied, though don’t expect anything major, as the game is essentially done in its state.
The good news is, Bungie has promised new stories and games in the Destiny franchise, so there’s a lot more Destiny in our future.
