In light of the recent delay announcement news, it would appear that Marvel’s Avengers Steam release is very much happening according to a recent website update.

Since the reveal of Marvels Avengers Square Enix has stated that the title would release on PC, however never clarified if it would be released on either Steam or have some sort of Epic Game Store exclusivity deal. Well, now at very least we now have confirmation that Marvels Avengers will release on Steam.

Over on the official Marvels Avengers webpage, a new platform has been added, showing that the game is also coming to Steam. It’s still not available to pre-order nor is there a Steam page, so this update could be accidental as currently the only way to get the PC version is through the Square Enix shop, and it’s physical to our understanding.

Square Enix has yet to officially announce Steam as an available platform for purchase on PC, and we’ve yet to know if it may come to Epic Game Store as well, so for now, take this as a rumor as it could very well be an accidental update on the page.

Delayed from its original release date of May, Crystal Dynamic’s Marvel’s Avengers is set to release on September 4 of this year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia, and PC. Sometimes this year there will also be a playable Beta (playable on PlayStation 4 first,) though details on when have yet to be revealed. We’ll be sure to keep you all updated as always when new information comes out.

We’ve contacted Square Enix about this and will update the post if we get a statement.
