Star Citizen Free-to-Play Event Runs from November 17 to November 30

Following the recent news that Star Citizen’s single player title Squadron 42 is now feature complete, Roberts Space Industries has announced a special Star Citizen free-to-play event. The event will run from November 17 to November 30 to coincide with the in-game Intergalactic Aerospace Expo event.

A teaser for the event went live yesterday, which you can watch below:

During IAE 2953, players will have the opportunity to check out dozens of unique spacecraft in the game’s Tobin Expo Center. The event will feature over 100 spaceships and vehicles for players to test-fly for free. Additionally, players can expect new vehicle announcements. They’ll even be able to access special-edition vehicle paints and in-game items to help celebrate the Expo.

The complete schedule for IAE 2953 is available here:

Each day of the event will feature spaceships from specific manufacturers, such as Aegis Dynamics, Argo Astronautics, Tumbril, and many more. These manufacturers will be set up in different halls of the Expo center, lending to a very immersive convention experience for players.

Star Citizen, while still a far from finished game, provides a pretty immersive space-faring experience, so long as your computer can handle running it. It’s definitely worth checking out while it’s free. While the Expo is a great place to check out the game’s incredibly detailed vehicles, the rest of the game’s content will also be completely accessible during the free-to-play period, including missions, combat, and more.
