Black Ops 2 Update 1.09/1.009 Shoots Out on August 27
After the rather underwhelming update we received for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 last week, Iron Galaxy has rolled out another one today, August 27.
PS4 and PS5 gamers will see the download as Black Ops 2 update 1.09/1.009, respectively, though we’d warn players to temper expectations, as we’re not expecting this patch to resolve all the issues we’ve been experiencing so far.
Black Ops 2 Update 1.09/1.009 Released Silently
So far, Iron Galaxy has not said anything about today’s patch. While we’re hoping it fixes the matchmaking issues the game currently suffers from, we haven’t been able to confirm that.
What we do know is this patch does NOT fix the freezing issues players are experiencing when loading in to multiplayer. Perhaps this is another security update? We’re hoping it is.
If Iron Galaxy releases a changelog later today, we’ll update the article with the info.
Some of the issues we know the game currently suffers from include:
- Matchmaking irregularities
- Freezing loading into multiplayer
- Hackers and aimbots still persist
We’re not expecting any new content, but given how Activision has sold these games again, we’re at least expecting it to work as intended.
While you’re waiting on that, check out our first official look at Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay, alongside a ton of new gameplay info.
