While we already reported on some of the ammo types found within the Battlefield 2042 data files, it seems there will be other damage types as well. Unearthed recently are the different Battlefield 2042 damage types, and even details about the yet-to-be revealed, Hazard Zone mode.
Once again spotted by reliable dataminer temporyal, there are “cold,” “storm,” and even “radiation” damage types for BF2042!
Just found entries for a Halon Sprinkler System which you can interact with. This might be a source for toxic damage.
I highly recommend the Halon training video "Terminator 2" for more details. pic.twitter.com/zIPiJR8k49

Outside of the damage types, another map has been spotted as part of Hazard Zone, too!
Logs of previous playtests reveal another #Battlefield 2042 map with Hazard Zone support:

Satellites have three different sizes and might crash during a round (there is a lot of in-engine data like flaming debris, trails & shockwaves or impact effects). pic.twitter.com/81noNalIue

Again, same with any datamined info, nothing here has been confirmed by DICE or EA, so there’s still a chance that these are leftover files from past builds or something. Hopefully, we’ll hear more about Hazard Zone officially soon, as that’s the only mode DICE has not revealed, though we do know it’s not a battle royale game mode.
With Battlefield 2042’s October 22 release date fast approaching, we should be hearing news about the game’s beta soon.
