DICE and publisher Electronic Arts have finally given us our first look at Battlefield 6 today! While the multiplayer reveal was a sight to behold, there are a lot more BF6 bombs that dropped today.

As part of the multiplayer reveal event that MP1st took part in yesterday, the studio also revealed Battlefield 6’s release date, confirmed the open beta schedule, and even outlined the different editions players will be able to pre-0rder and buy for the shooter.

First, the big one: the rumors were true, Battlefield 6 is officially launching on October 10, 2025!

Pre-orders will be going live soon on all platforms, but in the meantime, here’s a list of available editions, pricing, and the first official dates for the open beta.

Battlefield 6 Open Beta Tests Begin in August With Two Rounds

By now, many of you have seen the full multiplayer reveal trailer for Battlefield 6, which not only confirmed the release date but also confirmed that EA and the Battlefield Studios will be hosting open betas ahead of the game’s release. Exactly when, you ask? Well, a lot sooner than you think, as you’ll get to be able to play Battlefield 6 as early as next month! Here are the dates when the open beta starts, which is split into two weekends

  • Weekend 1: August 9-August 10
  • Weekend 2: August 14-August 17

This is being dubbed as the series’ biggest open beta, running for a total of six days throughout two weekends, and available to play on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5|PS5 Pro. EA and the Battlefield Studios will have more to share about the open beta as we approach the release dates.

As for the game’s available editions, it appears that Battlefield 6 won’t be launching with a Collector’s Edition, but will instead offer two: the Standard Edition and the Phantom Edition. Here’s what’s included in the Phantom Edition, as well as platform-specific pricing:
