Battlefield 6 Will Feature a Server Browser That’s Easily Accessible; Server Locations Revealed
Good news, Battlefield fans, Battlefield 6 is going to have a server browser! From what we’ve learned, it’s somewhat similar to how Portal was implemented in Battlefield 2042; however, this time, the studio is ensuring that it’s part of the main menu, rather than separate from the core experience.
That’s not the only server-related news we got for you, either, as we now know some of the regions where the dedicated servers will be.
Battlefield 6 Will Feature a Server Browser on the Main Menu

Perhaps one of the biggest features that fans have been wanting to return to Battlefield is the inclusion of a server browser. A staple feature that has been in nearly every Battlefield release, though when Battlefield 2042 released, the browser was absent from the core experience, and instead packaged within Portal. Given the lack of support for Portal during Battlefield 2042’s run, many overlooked the feature, especially given that you needed to launch Portal within the game’s menu to get to the server browser.
Well, this is changing with Battlefield 6, as while the server browser does appear to be based on Portal-made experiences (which included official, custom, and standard experiences), the studios are making it much more streamlined than it was in Battlefield 2042. The teams noted during the multiplayer reveal event, which MP1st was invited to, that the server browser will now be a highlighted community option, often “elevated” in feature playlists, allowing players to access it directly at startup, rather than navigating through multiple menus.
When we followed up on what this would look like in the game’s menu, we were told that the browser would be an available and easily accessible feature via the community tab on the main menu. We didn’t get a chance to see this in the build we played, as it was designed specifically for the event. However, if the final release is anything like the build we played, it should be very easy to access the browser, given the clean navigation of the UI.
Battlefield 6 Server Locations
Although not finalized, Battlefield Studios is planning to have multiple servers from around the world for Battlefield 6. These include all the following regions:
- Americas (North, Central, and South America)
- Europe
- The Middle East
- Africa
- Oceana
- Asia
Hopefully, they’ll be able to populate every region with plenty of servers, ensuring players have a smooth experience at launch. The upcoming open beta test will certainly put that to the test.
Another concern players have is matchmaking and the dreaded SBMM monster. We have good news for that as well, as DICE explained how it works, and even if the game features skill-based matchmaking, other factors will take priority.
Battlefield 6 is set to arrive on October 10, 2025, on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Please ask DICE to not region lock us players from Oceania, South Asia, Middle East, Africa and South America. We will get empty servers like in Battlefield 2042 if we get locked to a specific region again. This is so unfair to the other players and the game usually dies within months. I’ve already contacted several Dice developers, made thread on Reddit regarding this and also emailed content creators. The game will last for years if DICE allows us to play in other regions. That is why BF3, BF4 and BF1 have lasted for so long.
Portal Server browsers weren’t region locked as far as I’m aware, and though a bit more confusing than past BF, it functioned similarly in that you had to filter the regions.
We are talking about region locking us in matchmaking man, keep up.
Wait is it a BF1 style server browser where you can host your browser? And that after the match ends, you can go to another map? Very cur
Portal experiences were like this iirc. From the game itself, you could create/host generic/standard types of matches, edit the rotation, among a few other things
