XDefiant Update 1.000.016 Fixes Zero RP Issues This July 9

Ubisoft San Francisco has released XDefiant update 1.000.016 on all platforms this July 9, and this is to help further improve performance on the PS5 version after the frame rate issues, and as well as the zero Ranked Points (RP) bug affecting players.

Here’s what the fixes are in today’s patch according to Ubisoft:

  • Address performance issues on PS5
  • Fix an issue with getting 0 RP after completing a match in Ranked

Note that this doesn’t seem to include fixes tied to the ability being locked (greyed out) glitch or even the spiderbot counter being reverted back in. In case you’re not familiar with both bugs, read up on those here.

Expect another patch soon to address those bugs alongside other issues currently affecting the game. Once it’s live, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.

KNOWN ISSUE [PC]

Due to a security update some third-party applications that interact with Siege may cause a crash on start-up.

We recommend temporarily disabling such applications until updated versions are released.

Battlefield 2042 Update 1.000.059 Released for Patch 7.4.0 on All Platforms This July 9

As expected, while PS4 and PS5 gamers got the preload yesterday, those on Xbox and PC will now be able to download Battlefield 2042 update 1.000.059 (for last-gen it’s version BF2042 1.56), and this brings the Dead Space collab event and rewards into the game. Battlefield 2042 x Dead Space Event Rewards, Mode Details:

TIME-LIMITED EVENT: BATTLEFIELD 2042 | DEAD SPACE

During this event, players will experience Outbreak. A new 4-player squad PvE experience where you will fight waves of Augmented Targets. Starting on the western end of Redacted, players fight through eight sectors while completing objectives until they call an elevator to exfiltrate out on the far-eastern end of the map.

How do I play Outbreak?

Outbreak is a time-limited mode that runs from July 9 to 16, 2024. It’s a 4-player PvE where you can pick your class and specialist freely or you can select a Specialist that would complement the other choices that your squad has selected.

Players receive a single life per wave, and if one individual out of your squad survives you will be able to respawn on the next wave. All Specialist Gadgets, Traits, and Class Abilities are active in this mode. Killing Augmented Targets rewards you with Ascension Points which you can spend on upgrades for your weapons at armory stations.

Vehicles

  • The radar missile of SU57 no longer locks onto attack helicopters or the XFAD Draugr while the DRFM Jammer is active.
  • EBLC-Ram 40mm cannon blast radius damage distribution improvements, resulting in damage drop from the center of the blast being more evenly distributed.
  • DRFM Jammer no longer stops working when CIX Valravn enters cooldown.
  • C5 now applies correct damage to EBLC-Ram’s back panel, this means 2 C5 will be enough to destroy the vehicle.

  • Jets 25mm cannon damage vs infantry has been lowered from 40 to 25.
  • Fixed an issue with Jets 35mm cannon dealing too little damage to soldiers, it will now correctly deal 40 body damage.
  • Fixed issues with Attack Helicopters 30mm cannon and XFAD-4 Draugr cannons damage sound feedback was missing.
  • Fixed an issue with keybinding not displaying correctly on XFAD-4 Draugr weapons.
  • Made the primary countermeasure of the Draugr DRFM jammer using the same input as other vehicles to help with muscle memory and consistency

MD540 Nightbird

  • Third person camera has been lowered and is now closer to the vehicle. Reducing the pilot’s perspective of a pendulation effect and making the flying experience more grounded.
  • Significantly reduced auto-leveling of the Nightbird.
  • Increased gained speed by nosing down.
  • AGM on Nightbird has been lowered from 2 to 1.

Weapons

  • Fixed an issue with laser sight and flashlight icons in soldier inventory not staying lit up after switching weapons
  • Fixed an issue with the order of the attachments on the attachment screen
  • Fixed an issue with reloading sound effects on RPT 31
  • Fixed an issue with an incorrect sound effect being present on DFR Strife 40mm

Characters and Gadgets

    • By popular request, we have reduced the zoom of the SRAW.
    • Increased field of view on the SRAW.
    • Significantly lowered audio cue from the missile, especially in the distance.
    • Removed in-world UI elements of the missile except for the user.
    • Added a timer for SRAW and Lis’ G-84 TGM missile in events of redeploying to stop exploiting these gadgets

The Division 2 Update 1.73 Brings Weapon Sound Fixes and More This July 9

As part of today’s server maintenance, Ubisoft’s Massive Entertainment has also pushed out The Division 2 update 1.73 on all platforms, and this brings a bunch of fixes affecting a weapon audio bug, Keener’s Watch and more. Read on for what’s new in The Division 2 patch notes for July 9.

If we get a more detailed changelog, we’ll update the article to reflect it. Aside from today’s patch, the devs have also outlined some of the known issues with the game, with fixes planned for TU21.2 and beyond.

Report: Dragon Ball Z Kakarot Future DLC to Feature Daima Per Datamine

With Dragon Ball Daima set to launch this fall 2024, it seems Bandai Namco Entertainment plans to release the Dragon Ball Z Kakarot future DLC alongside it, which will feature the new anime show in the game.

This was spotted in the game’s files recently, which was spotted by Josou Kitsune:

Of course, given this is a datamine, we have to add in a disclaimer that not all datamined info is correct, since some could be placeholder data or something similar to it. That said, most datamines do prove to be legit, and given the game’s popularity, and the fact that a new anime is set to launch, it would make sense for Bandai Namco to capitalize on the upcoming show to drive DBZ Kakarot’s DLC sales.

If you’re not familiar with Draon Ball Daima, it’s a completely new Dragon Ball series, and is the last one developed by Dragon Ball creator the late Akira Toriyama who died earlier this year.

Here’s an overview of it (via Dragon Ball Fandom):

I’m currently working on a new Dragon Ball.
The title is “Dragon Ball DAIMA”.
“DAIMA” is a made-up term, which in Japanese characters would be “大魔” or in English would be something like “Evil.”

In order to fix things, they’ll head off to a new world!
It’s a grand adventure with intense action in an unknown and mysterious world.
Since Goku has to make up for his petite size, he uses his Nyoibo (Power Pole) to fight, something not seen in a long time.

Predecessor Update 1.37 for v0.19.1 Brings Balance Changes This July 8

Omeda has pushed out Predecessor update 1.37 (PS5 version 1,037), which is tagged as v0.19.1 and focuses on balance changes to the MOBA game. Read on for everything that got changed in the Predecessor patch notes for July 8.

Gameplay Balance Changes

Overview:

  • Magical Armor increase for Fangtooth and Orb Prime.
  • Ranged Minions deal less damage to Heroes.
  • Various Terra bug fixes.
  • Further refinement of outlier Heroes.
  • General increases to durability stats on some Fighter and Tank items.
  • Simplification of Spellblade Item Damage Scalings to be more readable.

Minions:

Ranged Minions are receiving a small reduction in the damage they deal to Heroes, better allowing Heroes to fight through them and take trades when a wave is stacked against them.

Ranged Minions:

Hero Damage Modifier decreased from 40% to 35%.

Jungle:

All Jungle Boss Monsters are receiving an additional 5 Magical Armor, further increasing their durability against Magical Heroes and providing a large window for response when a team begins an objective.

Fangtooth:

Magical Armor increased from 20 (+1 per Level) to 25 (+1 per Level)

Primal Fangtooth:

Magical Armor increased from 70 (+2 per Level) to 75 (+2 per Level)

Mini Prime:

Magical Armor increased from 25 to 30.

Orb Prime:

Magical Armor increased from 60 (+1 per Level) to 65 (+1 per Level)

Hero Balance Changes

As the fastest Jungle clearer in the game, Aurora is once again receiving a reduction to the Monster Damage Cap on her Passive, better bringing her speed down to reasonable levels.

Frozen Simulacrum [Passive]: 

Monster Damage Cap decreased from 6 (+3 per Level) to 5 (+2 per Level).

Dekker’s ability to dish out damage remains on the high end and at times is comparable to many Mages. Her ability damage is being stripped back across the board to ensure she does not contribute as heavily to abnormal burst damage scenarios moving forward.

Photon Disruptor [Primary]:

Magical Power Scaling decreased from 55% to 50%.

Stasis Bomb [Alternate]:

Damage decreased from 95/125/155/185/215 to 90/120/150/180/210.

Magical Power Scaling decreased from 45% to 40%.

Ion Strike [Ultimate]:

Damage decreased from 190/300/410 to 180/290/400.

Magical Power Scaling decreased from 75% to 70%.

A small hit to Drongo’s Rad Rounds to help better ensure he doesn’t run down his opponents in the early lane with a single clip of the ability.

Rad Rounds [Secondary]:

Additional Shot Damage decreased from 18/28/38/48/58 to 15/25/35/45/55.

Greystone struggles to keep pace in the waveclear department due to the low uptime on Make Way, especially when needing to use it to take trades in lane. A small cooldown reduction is being granted to offer him some additional windows of pressure.

Make Way [Primary]:

Cooldown decreased from 12/11.5/11/10.5/10 to 12/11.25/10.5/9.75/9.

Web Banner Grim

Grim.exe has reached a more stable point of balance since the last pass, but still has moments where his short trades can feel overwhelming. Some additional Damage Scaling is being removed from Pulsefire to further mitigate this, and better ensure Grim must instead invest in Magical Power if he wishes to possess the same level of Burst Damage.

Pulsefire [Passive]:

Bonus Physical Power Scaling decreased from 20% to 15%.

Web Banner Iggy&Scorch

Iggy continues to unnaturally stall out games, primarily due to his early wave clear potency and Flame Turret pressure, both of which are difficult for many Mids to interact with. To further resolve this, once again we are reducing his waveclear potency with a Molotov cooldown increase, and reducing the durability of his Flame Turrets in the early game and therefore easier to pick off if left undefended.

Flame Turret [Primary]:

Turret Health decreased from 125 (+20 per level) to 120 (+15 per Level)

Turret Health Magical Power Scaling increased from 25% to 30%.

Oil Spill [Secondary]:

Burn Damage Magical Power Scaling decreased from 9% to 8%.

Molotov [Alternate]:

Cooldown increased from 9/8.5/8/7.5/7 to 10/9.5/9/8.5/8.

Similar to Grim, Kira’s short trades can feel overly potent due to the damage output of a quick Mercy + Dusk combo. As a result, the base damage of Dusk is being reduced to ensure these short trades are less effective.

Dusk [Primary]:

  • Base Damage decreased 45/55/65/75/85 to 35/45/55/65/75

Kwang has received successive buffs over the previous few patches, with the goal of increasing his late-game efficacy as he has a tendency to fall off incredibly hard while taking some power out of his ability to bully in the earlygame. With this goal in mind, we are once again shifting more of Kwang’s power, reducing his early game bully potential via less damage in trades, while granting him more uptime on his Light of the Heaves as the mid-game rolls around.

Light of the Heavens [Alternate]:

Damage decreased from 90/130/170/210/250 to 85/120/155/190/225.

Cooldown changed from 12/11.5/11/10.5/10 to 13/12/11/10/9.

Shield Bonus Health Scaling decreased from 7% to 6%.

Web Banner Murdoc

Murdock’s general durability lags behind many of the other Carries and is seeing a minor increase to ensure he’s able to stand his ground more in lane.

General:

Health increased from 725 to 735.

Physical Armor increased from 19 to 20.

While Sevarog and Steel have found better footing since the last patch, Rampage still struggles to serve as a durable frontliner in the later stages of a match. This is partly due to his general durability being too low, alongside how easy it is for his Boulder Throw to be Cleansed by many of the threats he seeks to control. As a result some additional durability is being granted to Rampage to ensure he has an easier time diving into enemy times, as well as Boulder Throw being granted some additional uptime in the mid-game to be able to hit double-rock Haste breakpoints slightly easier.

General:

Armor Growth increased from 3.55 to 3.7.

Boulder Throw [Primary]:

Cooldown changed  from 17/15.5/14/12.5/11 to 17.5/15.75/14/12.25/10.5.

Behemoth [Ultimate]:

Bonus Health increased from 200/375/550 to 200/400/600.

Alongside some bug fixes, followup changes to Terra are being made with the aim of reducing the more frustrating aspects of her Kit in the form of her Mobility and Unstoppable Duration. In return, Terra is gaining some increased uptime and damage threat across the rest of the kit, as well as the additional durability granted in the late-game now that her Shield correctly increases when Wild Rush is Leveled.

General:

[Bugfix] Now displays at the correct size in the Menus and Draft.

Ruthless Assault [Primary]:

True Damage Bonus Physical Power Scaling increased from 120% to 125%.

Cooldown changed from 11/10.25/9.5/8.75/8 to 11.5/10.5/9.5/8.5/7.5.

Highland Hurl [Secondary]:

Cooldown changed from 11/10.5/10/9.5/9 to 12/11/10/9/8.

Wild Rush [Alternate]:

Bonus Physical Power Scaling increased from 70% to 75%.

Max Charge Damage Bonus Physical Power Scaling increased from 210% to 225%.

[Bugfix] Shield now correctly increases with Ability Level

Shield decreased from 20/100/180/260/340 to 10/65/120/175/230.

Shield Max Health Scaling decreased from 15% to 14%.

Cooldown increased from 14/13/12/11/10 to 15/14/13/12/11.

Dash Range decreased by 8%.

[Bugfix] Self-slow while Channelling is no longer removed by Unstoppable Force.

Unstoppable Force [Ultimate]:

Duration decreased from 6/7/8 to 5/6/7.

[Bugfix] Helmet Ending animation is no longer twisted unnaturally.

TwinBlast’s Vaporize is receiving a reduction in damage in-line with other Carry changes, reducing the overall burst damage coming out from a single trade in Duo Lane. Additionally, TwinBlast was missing the Physical Armor Growth increase from last pass. This has now been rectified.

General:

[Bugfix] Physical Armor Growth increased from 2.9 to 3.15.

Vaporize [Primary]:

Damage decreased from 65/85/105/125/145 to 60/80/100/120/140.

Wraith has found more stable ground thanks to the previous group of changes, now better able to curve throughout a match and make an impact in the late-game. However, his burst combos can become excessive in some snowball scenarios, so we’re stipping back some of the additional scaling he was granted last patch to ensure he remains healthy to play against.

Knock, Knock! [Alternate]:

Bonus Physical Power Scaling decreased from 135% to 130%.

Item Changes

Tank

A range of Tank Items are also receiving further general durability increases or Cost reductions, further enabling them to weather the storm in fights and keep pace with the damage output other classes possess, while also better allowing them to standalone as desirable single-buys in the case of other classes looking at some additional durability.

Fighter

As a common theme, more durability is being granted to various Fighter Items, better providing the extra bulk required for many Fighters to successfully navigate and impact teamfights. 

T2

Moving forward, all Spellblade effects have been simplified, moving away from Base Physical Power Scaling, and instead using a flat amount that is easier to understand while being similar in damage output.

Support:

Similar to many of the Fighter items, the following Frontline Support Items are also receiving durability increases, better allowing them to survive in fights. 

Web Banner Items Spell Slasher

  • Spellblade Damage changed from (+80% Base Physical Power) to 40.

Web Banner Items Tainted Rounds

Slightly Less damage for Tainted Rounds’ effect, ensuring it does not double up as heavily on the utility + damage front. 

  • Blighted Strikes Bonus Physical Power Scaling decreased from 15% to 12%.

Web Banner Items Augmentation

Augmentation has a tendency to fall off as a damage source in the later stages of a match and has received some additional Scaling to ensure it stays relevant, better matching the damage curve of Oathkeeper by comparison.

  • Physical Power increased from 35 to 40.
  • True Strike Damage changed from (+120% Base Physical Power) to 40 (+40% Total Physical Power)

Web Banner Items Basilisk

Ghostrunner 2 Update 1.000.016 Brings Achievement Fixes and More This July 8

Developer One More Level has released Ghostrunner 2 update 1.000.016 on all platforms this July 8, and this is to usher in a small list of fixes tied to achievements and weapons. This is a minor update, and is a small download regardless of platform.

Ghostrunner 2 Update 1.000.016 Patch Notes for July 8:

FIXES:

1) Fixed the issue of players not being able to unlock the achievement “Faster Than Light” on some occasions
2) Fixed the issue of player weapons sometimes showing in the game hub.

That’s about it. Just last week, the Heat Pack DLC was released which also came with a title update. Check out the list of improvements included in that patch:

  • Update of Intel XeSS to version 1.3
  • Introduction of Heat Pack DLC items
  • Fixed issues where VFX from DLC content may still be seen after closing the armory menu.
  • Fixed issue where some DLC content may not be displayed in some gameplay instances.
  • Fixed the issue where icons of collectables would reappear during challenges in some instances.
  • Fixed localization errors in control settings
  • Fixed an issue where the Player was forced to die once at a certain platform on the ‘I Won’t Be Back Today level’ in Hardcore Mode
  • Fixed an issue that caused certain shortcuts on The Hacker’s Den level to remain locked
  •  Fixed an issue that caused the challenge summary screen to show the best result instead of the current result

Apex Legends Season 22 Battle Pass Will Now Require Players to Spend Real Money; Players Voice This Is the End of the Game

if you’re an Apex Legends player that buys each season’s Battle Pass, I think it’s best you sit down, as major changes are incoming, and we can’t say they’re for the better. The Apex Legends Season 22 Battle Pass will require players to spend real-world money to buy it, as EA has removed the option to buy it using Apex Coins earned from the previous season.

Here’s the tl;dr version of it:

We’re evolving the Apex Legends™ Battle Pass to improve your experience and progression goals:

  • Battle Pass now available per split (was one per season)
    • Players can earn the first Premium BP during the first two weeks of Season 22
  • Levels to obtain final key cosmetic items (ex. reactives) dropped to 60 per Battle Pass (was 110)
  • Rewards from past Battle Passes that frequently weren’t being used have been removed
  • Free Track rewards refreshed with the following available across each of the seasonal split’s BPs: 200 AC, 7 Apex Packs†, 1 complete Epic set, and more
  • Premium Track rewards refreshed with the following available per Battle Pass: 2400 CM, 1300 AC, 10 Exotic Shards, various Apex Packs†, 1 Reactive and 1 Legendary Weapon skin, 2 Legendary and 3 Epic Legend skins, 7 Epic weapon skins, and more
    • Twice as many Crafting Materials across the season and 3 more Legendary/Epic Apex Packs† per Battle Pass compared to the old one
  • New Premium+ offering with additional rewards per Battle Pass: 10 Levels, 2 Premium+ Legendary skin variants (exclusive for one year), 10 Exotic Shards, and ALL Legends playable for the duration of the Battle Pass
  • Costs: $9.99 for Premium and $19.99 for Premium+* (was 950 AC for Premium, 2800 AC for the discontinued Premium Battle Pass Bundle)

As one can imagine, this did not go over well with players. Over on the game’s official subreddit, players have voiced their displeasure at EA’s change, with quite a number stating that they’re boycotting the Battle Pass (and even the game), with some even voicing that this is the end of Apex Legends.

There’s more of that here, but you get the picture. Even on social media, players have commented in droves on how this is a shameless money-grab by publisher EA, and how they aren’t in favor of this change:

There’s a lot more of that as well but you get the idea, right? Will EA reverse this decision since it’s clearly not a popular one? Who knows. But hey, if EA can reverse the entire microtransaction plans for a game, they can certainly do this, right? From the looks of it, this decision seems to be made by EA, though we can’t be sure about that.

Battlefield 2042 Patch 1.56 Rolled Out for Update 7.4.0 Pre-Load, and Here’s Everything New

Ahead of the  July 9 deployment for the latest Battlefield 2042 patch, DICE has released the preload on PS4 and PS5! Those on that platform will see Battlefield 2042 patch 1.56 (PS5 version 1.000.059) pop up though the actual patch can’t be installed until tomorrow. This brings in the Dead Space event as well as a bunch of changes in what the devs call Update 7.4.0.

TIME-LIMITED EVENT: BATTLEFIELD 2042 | DEAD SPACE

During this event, players will experience Outbreak. A new 4-player squad PvE experience where you will fight waves of Augmented Targets. Starting on the western end of Redacted, players fight through eight sectors while completing objectives until they call an elevator to exfiltrate out on the far-eastern end of the map.

How do I play Outbreak?

Outbreak is a time-limited mode that runs from July 9 to 16, 2024. It’s a 4-player PvE where you can pick your class and specialist freely or you can select a Specialist that would complement the other choices that your squad has selected.

Players receive a single life per wave, and if one individual out of your squad survives you will be able to respawn on the next wave. All Specialist Gadgets, Traits, and Class Abilities are active in this mode. Killing Augmented Targets rewards you with Ascension Points which you can spend on upgrades for your weapons at armory stations.

Bronny James Says He “Deserves” an 80-81 Player Rating in NBA 2K25

For those keeping tabs on NBA news, chances are you’ve already heard that the LA Lakers have drafted LeBron James’ son  LeBron Raymone “Bronny” James Jr. as the no. 55 overall pick in this year’s NBA Draft. Now, the question of whether Bronny deserved being picked is a different topic altogether. But in terms of video games (since this is a gaming site, after all), NBA 2K gamers might be wondering what Bronny James’ NBA 2K25 player rating will be. While we don’t know the answer to that, it seems Bronny himself has a number in mind.

In a chat, Bronny James was asked what he thinks his NBA 2K25 rating will be, and the upcoming NBA rookie mentioned that he “deserves” an 80-80 overall rating.

With NBA 2K25 set to launch later this year, one of the more important points of discussion for it almost always include player ratings. While most of the discussion will be the top 10 players in the game overall, Bronny James’ rating will almost surely scuttle up discussion as well given a lot of people aren’t convinced that Lebron’s oldest son is deserving to be put in an NBA roster in the first place.

For reference, in NBA 2K24, players who are rated 80 include the likes of Jordan Poole, Kelly Olynyk, Miles Bridges and more.

NBA 2K25 has no release date yet, but it should be out once we get nearer the 2024-2025 NBA season which starts in October.

F1 24 Update 1.06 Speeds Out for Version 1.6 This July 8

Codemasters has released F1 24 update 1.06 (PS5 version 1.006) for what is tagged as version 1.6. As expected, this update comes with many gameplay improvements and other bug fixes. Check out the July 8 patch notes for F1 24 posted down below.

  • Rebalanced the Medium Traction Control setting

  • Fixed an issue where a specific Specialist Goal could prevent a career save from loading correctly
  • Pitcrews in Driver Career have received some training so pitstop times have generally been improved

GRAPHICS/VISUALS

  • Improved presentation quality of Broadcast Pit Stops on PS4 & Xbox One

  • Tyre pressure adjustments will now have more of an effect on tyre grip and heat

GAME STABILITY

  • Fixed an issue where the Drivers’ tab could become unresponsive after viewing Lap Times in the Race Director
  • Fixed an issue where the player could select two options at once in the Practice menu, which resulted in the game being stuck

TRACKS

  • Fixed a metal grate on the outside of turn 1 at Portugal so it no longer registers as a minor collision with a vehicle passing over it
  • Fixed a rare issue in One Shot Qualifying at Silverstone where the AI could drive wide to invalidate the next lap before the player gains control of the car

AUDIO

  • Fixed an issue where your engineer could incorrectly tell you that your teammate is outperforming you

PERIPHERALS

  • Added support for the Cammus C5 Wheel

MISCELLANEOUS

  • New ‘Champions’ images added to the Compendium, replacing the previous entries. All previously unlocked stickers will remain unlocked for these new images
  • Fixed an issue where ten second penalties would only last five seconds during a pitstop
  • Updated the logo on the Ferrari garage monitors
  • Fixed an issue where the number of laps shown as available in a Practice Programme could be incredibly high

Disney Speedstorm Update 1.28 Speeds Out for Barrage of Fixes This July 8

Developer Gameloft has pushed out Disney Speedstorm update 1.28 (PS5 version 1.028), and this is a hotfix for Season 8 which was released last month. The mid-season hotfix brings quite a number of improvements, which are listed in the official patch notes below.

LOGIN CALENDAR

Season 8 will see the introduction of a Login Calendar to the game. First-time and veteran players alike will be able to claim some amazing rewards simply by logging in each day. The details of the rewards available from the Login Calendar are outlined below:

UI/UX IMPROVEMENTS

UI/UX CHANGES MADE BASED ON COMMUNITY FEEDBACK

The team has made several improvements to the game’s UI/UX based on the feedback received from the community. We will continue to make improvements based on community feedback in future updates.

•    The Upgrade Racer button will no longer be selected by default in the Racer profile tab.
•    Information about a Racer’s Common and Unique Skills can now be viewed regardless of whether you have unlocked the Racer or not.
•    Clicking on the Racer in the Main Menu will now take you directly to the Racer profile tab.
•    Clicking on a Racer in your Party in the Main Menu will now take you directly to the Party profile tab.
•    The Racers button has been repositioned closer to the Play button on the Main Menu.

DUPLICATE EXCHANGE FLOW

The duplicate exchange animation flow that occurs when a duplicate item is converted into Season Coins has been shortened.

UNIQUE SKILL FIXES

We have made several fixes to Unique Skills issues that appeared with the launch of Season 8.

RACER MICKEY MOUSE

•    The charged activation of his Unique Skill should now correctly grant invulnerability to rival Racers.

RACER MINNIE MOUSE

•    She will now correctly receive a speed boost from both the normal and charged activations of her Unique Skill.

RACER RANDALL

•    Fixed an issue causing a visual effect from his Unique Skill to persist for the full duration of races.

RACER JUMBA

•    In Team Mode, the normal activation of his Unique Skill will only target the Racer in first place and not the highest placed Racer on the rival team.

RACER ANGEL

•    The normal activation of her Unique Skill should now correctly grant invulnerability to rival Racers.
•    She will now correctly receive a speed boost from the charged activation of her Unique Skill.

RACER JOY

•    She will now correctly receive a speed boost from the normal activation of her Unique Skill.

RACER HERCULES

•    Teammates will now correctly receive invulnerability by touching the trail during the normal activation of his Unique Skill.

TEAMMATE UNIQUE SKILL INTERACTION ISSUE

The team has identified an issue where certain items spawned from Unique Skills are being destroyed by the Unique Skills of their teammates. The team is working on the issue and aims to fix it in the next update.

RACER VOICEOVER

Racer Fear now has voice lines in-game.

SEASON BOXES & SEASON BOX CREDITS

We are making adjustments to Season Boxes based on community feedback. The main adjustment is that the drop rate for Racer Shards in Epic and Rare rarity Season Boxes are being doubled. The full list of changes that will come into effect at the start of Season 8 Part 2 are listed below:

EPIC RARITY SEASON BOXES

·    The drop rate of Racer Shards will be increased from 15% to 30%.
·    The drop rate of Common Rarity Crew Shards will be decreased from 40% to 30%.
·    The drop rate of Rare Rarity Crew Shards will be decreased from 30% to 20%.

RARE RARITY SEASON BOXES

·    The drop rate of Racer Shards will be increased from 20% to 40%.

In Season 8 Part 2, the amount of Season Box Credits earnable via the Golden Pass and Season Tour is being adjusted. There will now be an even split between Season Box Credits and Reward Capsules. The total combined amount of Season Box Credits and Reward Capsules, including the repeatable tier, earnable will remain the same as in Season 8 Part 1, they will just be split evenly between the 2 types of reward.

Palworld Update 0.3.3 Drops for Save Data Fix This July 8

Pocket Pair has released Palworld update 0.3.3 and while this doesn’t bring in any new content, it does help fix the save data size issue that makes the file larger than it should be. Read on for the official announcement from the studio.

That’s about it. Earlier this month, the studio also acknowledged the server issues affecting North America.

Currently, the NA official servers are not performing as expected and the team is investigating the root cause of the issue.
We are aware that some users are experiencing poor performance, trouble connecting and in some cases are unable to find the official servers at all.

We are currently investigating these problems and apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you.

We can not give an ETA at this exact moment, so we kindly ask for your patience at this time as we try to work through these issues.

As you can see, there’s no ETA on the matter just yet, but hopefully, it’ll be soon.

GTA 5 DLC: Parts of It Made Its Way to GTA Online, Online Being a “Cash Cow” Cause of Cancellation

While Grand Theft Auto 5 (GTA 5) isn’t a small game by any means, it seems we could have gotten a lot more if it outside of the main story mode if GTA Online didn’t explode in popularity. This was something former Rockstar dev Joseph Rubino revealed recently, as well as the reason why the GTA 5 DLC plans were scrapped.

Speaking in a video interview, Rubino, who worked as the Senior Camera Artist and Virtual Cinematographer for Rockstar from 2010 to 2016, mentioned that the reason why the planned GTA 5 DLC was scrapped was due to GTA Online being so successful that Rockstar had doubts the DLC would be able to compete with it. “When GTA Online came out, it was so much of a cash cow and people were loving it so much that it was hard to make an argument that a standalone DLC would out-compete that,” says Rubino.

The former Rockstar dev adds. “Looking back now I would say that you could probably do both, y’know, but that was a business decision that they made and I, y’now, was a little upset about that.”

Of course, not is lost, as Rubino also confirmed that parts of the DLC did make its way into GTA Online stating, “A lot of that stuff (GTA 5 DLC) though did up making it, I believe, into later iterations of GTA Online, I think, so it’s not like they wasted it.”

While we’ll never see the GTA 5 DLC released, we do know what it was about. Just a few months ago, Steven Ogg, the actor who played Treovr Philips in GTQA 5, confirmed that he shot “some stuff” for the game’s DLC that would have continued the character’s escapades, though one that sees the character working as an undercover agent for the FBI. As for GTA Online, Rockstar has released significant free updates for the game, and some even included new story missions. Case in point: players got the Bottom Dollar Bounties patch just last month which saw new missions, vehicles and more.

As for the next game in the best-selling franchise, Grand Theft Auto 6 is headed for release in Fall 2025.

Bleach: Rebirth of Souls Announced, Releases “Soon”

Bandai Namco Entertainment along with developer Tamsoft Corporation have announced Bleach: Rebirth if Souls, a new fighting game based on the hit anime series. The announcement trailer confirms it’s coming to PC and consoles, though don’t expect any raw gameplay from it.

Zenless Zone Zero Amasses 50 Million Downloads Worldwide, Devs Issue “Thank You’ Gift to Players

While Zenless Zone Zero just got released a few days ago, it seems we can now confirm it as another hit for developer miHoYo, as the action-RPG has already gotten a ton of players to download the free-to-play game already!  The studio has announced that Zenless Zone Zero has now been download 50 million times across the world!
