Diablo 4 Update 1.27 Ushers in Abattoir of Zir via Patch 1.2.3 This Dec. 5

Blizzard has released Diablo 4 update 1.27 (PS5 version 1.027) and this brings the Abbatoir of Zir dungeon alongside bug fixes! Called Diablo 4 update version 1.2.3 by the devs, you can read the full patch notes below.

Diablo 4 Update 1.27 Patch Notes | Diablo 4 Update 1.027 Patch Notes | Diablo 4 Update Version 1.2.3 Patch Notes:

GAMEPLAY UPDATES

  • Starting on December 5, battle legions of Zir’s minions and race against time in a new endgame pinnacle dungeon, Abattoir of Zir. For more information, visit this article.
  • A full list of possible affixes can now be previewed in the Enchantment menu using the new View Possible Affixes button.
  • Earned Glyph experience from most Nightmare Tiers was increased.
    • Tiers 1-17: No Change.
    • By Tiers 30: From 66 to 79.
    • By Tier 50: From 106 to 139.
    • By Tier 75: From 156 to 239.
    • By Tier 100: From 206 to 339.

Developer’s Note: After reviewing gameplay data and player feedback, we recognized that completing higher Nightmare Tiers was not as rewarding as we initially hoped for, with many players stopping their journey after reaching Tier 50. The experience increase to Glyphs at higher Tiers was made with the intent of incentivizing players to push their builds, making their arrival at Tier 100 feel that much more fulfilling. We will monitor how this change in experience pans out for players and encourage you to provide us with any feedback you have around this system.

  • Introduced further support for NVIDIA Reflex technology. Visit the in-game settings to enable this feature.

BUG FIXES

Accessibility

  • Fixed an issue where the Screen Reader didn’t announce the required pacts for Vampiric Powers.
  • Fixed an issue that made the Screen Reader malfunction on the Steam Deck.

Dungeons

  • Fixed an issue where the Mechanical Box wouldn’t respawn if the player was killed by the boss in the Bastion of Faith.
  • Fixed an issue in the Fallen Temple dungeon where the objective to destroy the Idol of the Fallen Temple could not be completed properly if the Idol was destroyed instantly.
  • Fixed an issue where the debuff effects in the Fallen Temple could be avoided when leaving and re-entering the Dungeon.
  • Fixed an issue where enemies from the Sole Survivor event could spawn behind locked doors in the Hallowed Ossuary, blocking event mastery completion.
  • Fixed an issue where Nightmare Dungeons wouldn’t properly reset after all revives were exhausted when playing local co-op.
  • Fixed an issue where enemies spawned by Animus-carrying monsters with the Summoner affix unexpectedly carried Animus.
  • Fixed an issue where bonus Elemental Damage affixes of Nightmare Dungeons scaled their damage too low or too high for their respective Tier.

Gameplay

  • Fixed an issue where some attacks made by Echo of Lilith would not properly trigger if the player in the Party that started the encounter died.
  • Fixed an issue where the first Death from Above cast by Echo of Lilith had irregular timing and didn’t display an incoming projectile indicator.
  • Fixed an issue where Frostburn and Mother’s Embrace could drop as Sacred and not Ancestral from Tormented Echo of Varshan in World Tier IV.
  • Fixed an issue where Gems could still drop from some sources, such as Avarice’s chest or Whisper Caches, instead of Gem Fragments.
  • Fixed an issue where Rabies cast by Werewolf companions from the Of the Alpha legendary aspect could miss.
  • Fixed an issue where Druids could continuously run into a wall if Trample was used to move towards a nearby wall.
  • Fixed an issue where Treasure Goblins would sometimes become invincible and run away if the player mounted or unmounted near them. (Treasure Goblins have had enough of your bullying, wanderer.)

Season of Blood

  • Fixed an issue where Blood Harvesters could quickly disappear after spawning.
  • Fixed an issue where the Norvaic enemy could spawn repeatedly in certain co-op situations.
  • Fixed an issue where Seeds of Hatred extracted by being Hatred’s Chosen did not count towards a Season Journey objective’s progress.
  • Fixed an issue which made Potent Blood dropped from a Blood Well inaccessible.

Developer’s Note: A previous Hotfix allowed players to walk through Blood Wells to access Potent Blood. This change reverts the ability to walk through Blood Wells, but in exchange, Potent Blood will no longer spawn in the middle of Blood Wells so it can be easily picked up.

  • Fixed an issue where Duriel wouldn’t spawn when the player re-entered the boss arena after respawning.

User Interface and User Experience

  • Fixed an issue where map overlays for Helltide and Blood Harvest wouldn’t display properly when entering a region covered by fog of war.
  • Fixed an issue where the tooltip displayed while hovering over certain items could blink periodically.
  • Fixed an issue where the text describing how to unlock Mounts was inaccurate for players who skipped the Campaign.

Developer’s Note: If they choose to play through the Campaign, players that haven’t yet unlocked Mounts must complete the Donan’s Favor quest to unlock them. If the campaign is skipped, you must reach Level 25 before unlocking Mounts. The tooltip previously mentioned Quest completion only, which is irrelevant when skipping the Campaign.

  • Fixed an issue where navigating to the Season Journey from a Seasonal Aspect wouldn’t open the correct chapter.
  • Navigating the Seasonal Stash with a controller will now be more consistent.

Miscellaneous

  • Fixed an issue where visual effects on armor would remain fully visible while using Concealment. (Lilith sees all, foolish wanderer.)
  • Various visual, performance, and stability improvements.

Hopefully, nothing gets broken with this patch, but if ever a new one is released, we’ll let our readers know.

Have a Nice Death PlayStation and Xbox Releases Get Shadow Dropped

Previously released for the PC and Nintendo Switch, Have a Nice Death is now officially available on PlayStation and Xbox platforms.

Have a Nice Death Shadow PlayStation and Xbox Launch Trailer

While Gearbox and Magic Design Studios announced the title was coming to both PlayStation and Xbox platforms, neither confirmed exactly when up until this morning when they were pushed out onto the storefront. The team sent out a press release celebrating the new platform releases.

“Just like our fans, we are beyond thrilled to see Have a Nice Death launch on PlayStation and Xbox today,…All of the support we have received over the years from our amazing fanbase has been absolutely incredible, and we are forever grateful. To the PlayStation and Xbox players out there, thank you for your patience, and we hope you enjoy your time in Death Incorporated!” Magic Design Studios game designer Simon Dutertre said in the press statement.

About The Game (via Steam)

Have a Nice Death is a 2D action roguelite where you play as an overworked Death, whose employees have run rampant, completely throwing off the balance of souls—and his vacation plans. In order to restore order, you’ll have to grab your trusty scythe and show your employees who’s boss.

Discover and explore the darkly-charming, procedurally-generated departments of Death Inc., where you’ll meet a diverse cast of memorable characters—like your affable pumpkin-headed assistant, Pump Quinn—who are always willing to share the latest office gossip.

Reap What You Sow

Sharpen your skills (and scythe) through fast-paced hack n’ slash combat, utilizing over 30 unique weapons and spells you can find and upgrade to create devastating combinations.

Death Never Sleeps

Since Death can’t die, use what you’ve learned and earned to overcome the numerous minions and bosses in each department of Death Incorporated… over and over. A performance review after every run guarantees that you’ll unlock interesting items and upgrades that will help you progress on your journey.

When Life Death Gives You Curses

Taking more power for yourself is a controversial move in Death Incorporated’s company culture. For instance, adopting a Curse upgrade for yourself might result in the Labor Inspector granting your subordinates enhanced powers, or worse, raising the cost of koffee and other items that are vital to your work output.

Have a Nice Death is available on PlayStation (PS4, PS5) and Xbox (One, Series X|S) starting today for $24.99.

GTA 6 Mocks Real Life by Simply Showcasing Real Life

What if I were to tell you that every crazy thing you saw in the Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer happened in real life? No, for real, as while Rockstar Games is typically known to exaggerate things with their satirical takes, a lot of stuff featured throughout the trailer did actually happen. Ladies and gentlemen, I have bad news for you, we’ve been playing Grand Theft Auto 6 this whole time.

Rockstar Games and GTA have always played into satire, exaggerating things that have happened. Life Invader from GTA 5 is one of those examples, mocking real-life Facebook by leaning into some of its major concerns, such as privacy, only it’s blatantly advertised as part of their features rather than something hidden.

Image

There’s plenty of that in GTA that has produced moments so outrageous that it’s hard to believe they’re true. That’s because, most of the time, Rockstar takes things up a notch, so while it’s based on real stuff, at the end of the day, it’s a joke, something that players are well aware of.

But with the release of the GTA 6 trailer now finally here, there’s a lot of “satire” that Rockstar Games is known for. The thing is, for those who live in the United States, and more so around Florida, then you’d see this time around, a good chunk of what was shown off did happen.

The Florida Leonida Man

Grand Theft Auto 6 takes place in the fictional state of Leonida. Now, if it wasn’t obvious from the trailers, Leonida is Rockstar’s version of Florida. Throughout the trailer, you see the mention of “Leonida Man,” which is their take on the “Florida Man.” Anyone who has heard that phrase understands that it is often associated with a man in Florida who makes the news under unusual circumstances. These are just some of the headlines — and yes, for everyone unfamiliar with this phenomenon, as you might call it, these are very real.

  • Florida man trapped in unlocked closet for two days.
  • Florida man riding human-sized hamster wheel in Atlantic Ocean faces federal charges.
  • Masked Florida man attacks sleeping man outside Volusia bank
  • Florida man tries to flee deputies on riding lawn mower
  • Florida man arrested for threatening Disney on Twitter
  • Florida man attempts floating to New York in home-made contraption
  • Florida man arrested while trying to warn Space Force about battle between aliens and dragons

Don’t look at me; I don’t make the rules of life. These things just happen, and they end up making headlines. The crazy thing is there are far worse ones out there.

So, after watching that GTA 6 trailer, I decided to do some research myself to see how much of the trailer happened in real life. I focused on more of the crazy moments in the trailer, and after hours upon hours of googling (it was a few minutes) and typing “Florida Man” followed by what I saw in the trailer, this is what I came up with.

Leonida Man Likes to do Yard Work “Naked” vs. Neighbors Angry With Florida Man Who Likes to do Yard Work Naked.

Cops chase naked Leonida vs. Cops Confronting Nude Florida Man at Gas Station

Leonida Women Twerks Ontop of Moving Car vs. Spring Break Girl Twerks on a Moving Car in Miami

Alligator Found In Leonida Pool vs. Alligator Found In Family Pool in Florida

Alligator walks into Leonida Convenience Store vs. Florida Man Brings Alligator Into Convenience Store

Gator Scare at Walmart

GTA 6 vs real life 10

Dual Weilding Hammer Lady Bashing Car Windshield vs. Chatsworth Woman Takes Hammer to Neighbor’s Car (Los Angeles, CA)

Leonida Joker vs. Florida Joker

I’m saying it again: we’ve been playing GTA 6 this entire time. Rockstar has reached the point where they no longer need to put in the effort to make fun of events because they’re already too bizarre to top.

I’m sorry if this story made you lose more faith in humanity.

Outcast 2 – A New Beginning Release Date Set for March 15, 2024

THQ Nordic has announced that Outcast 2 – A New Beginning will launch on March 15, 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

The release date announcement was made by the publisher on their official Twitter account, following a small tease reminiscent of the GTA VI trailer announcement.

Here’s what was sent via the press release:

Outcast – A New Beginning / Overview

Weapon upgrades, aliens and monsters (who can also be predators) – you will find all of this in Appeal Studio’s and THQ Nordic’s upcoming open-world action-adventure Outcast – A New Beginning! Play as Cutter Slade, ex-Navy SEAL, and gain the trust of the local Talans. Engage in guerilla warfare such as destroying enemy ammo convoys to weaken bases and freely choosing where to launch the next attack, shaping the success of the Talan uprising.

The stakes are high, though, Cutter Slade brings dry humor to the forefront, adding a touch of wit to the intense storyline. Rediscover the awe-inspiring game world reminiscent of the beloved Outcast 1, while offering something totally fresh and accessible for newcomers. Every corner is brimming with wonders and surprises!

The game’s marketing is slowly ramping up, with a recent combat trailer showcasing various aspects of the gunplay, jetpacks, and crafting mechanics. As the release date approaches, more details about Outcast 2 – A New Beginning will be revealed.

The original Outcast was a cult classic, and almost 25 years later, we are getting a sequel. Hopefully, it will entice fans of the old title and bring new eyes to the series as well. We will see if the game is able to live up to the expectations very soon as the launch is just over a few months away.

Outcast 2 – A New Beginning releases for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on March 15, 2024.
