Battlefield 6’s Portal Shown Off Where Your Imagination Can Run Wild

While the majority of gamers are excited for Battlefield 6 due to its multiplayer, creative types might be looking forward to seeing what the game’s Portal mode can do.

Battlefield Studios has given us a taste of that today, as a new video highlighting the mode has been released.

Players will be able to create almost any type of match, scenario or just craziness they can think that’s available in the game’s virtual sandbox tools.

Check out the video for yourself to see what we mean.

Battlefield 6 Portal Will Deliver Fresh Experiences by the Community

As you can see, things can get crazy in Battlefield 6’s Portal. You can set up a racing-type game, have rooftops as your battlegrounds and a lot more.

We ran an article about Battlefield Portal that discusses some of its creation tools and possibilities, which I suggest gamers give a read.

In other Battlefield 6 news, if you haven’t already, check out our first good look at the game’s campaign.

For console gamers, it’s been confirmed by the devs that the game will feature its own macro detection to catch Cronus cheaters. Controller users can also expect “Aim Assist 2.0,” which requires more skill in order to do well compared to previous aim assists in shooters.

Battlefield 6 will launch on October 10 on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, and this will feature the Portal mode as part of the overall package.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Minor Update Released as Patch 1.013.084

Ubisoft has released a minor update for Assassin’s Creed Shadows today for patch 1.1.3. Please note that there will be no new content added to this, as it was primarily released to enhance the gameplay experience.

For those on consoles, you’ll see this download appear as Assassin’s Creed Shadows update 1.013.084, and it’s a smaller download than what we’re used to.

Given the version 1.1.1 patch increased the level cap, and even introduced a new free story quest, it’s understandable that this one is a lot slimmer than usual.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows New Update on Sept. 25 Should Improve Stability

File Size Download Per Platform

  • PS5: 0.53 GB
  • Xbox Series X|S: 32.74 GB
  • PC: 11.91 GB
  • Steam: 0.34 GB

The hotfix improves “multiple stability issues” in the game, according to Ubisoft. That’s about it, and there are no front-facing changes made.

If you haven’t logged into the game in a while, the big 1.1.1 patch introduced the following new content for free:

  • New Free Story Quest (Go With the Bo)
  • Level Cap Increase
  • New Hideout Upgrades
  • Advance Time of Day
  • Improved Scouts
  • Enhanced Gear Quality
  • New Project: Sanctuary
  • New Anomalies in Awaji
  • Uncapped Cutscenes

There’s also a long list of bug fixes included with that update. Check out our article for more information about this and the new content.

Hollow Knight: Silksong New Update 1.000.006/1.06 Silently Slinks Out on Sept. 25

While console gamers just received the latest patch for Hollow Knight: Silksong that was released on PC earlier,  Team Cherry pushed out another update that’s available now for players.

For now, we can confirm that it’s available on PS5 and PS4, which gamers will see as Hollow Knight: Silksong update 1.000.006/1.06. This is a small download.

Hollow Knight: Silksong Mysteriously Gets a Surprise Update as Version 1.000.006/1/06

Silksong First Update

Unfortunately, Team Cherry has not said anything about today’s update, and we’re hoping that changes within the day. Chances are, this is a minor patch that addresses performance issues, but we can’t be certain until the developers comment on it.

There are minor performance issues in the game, which should be fixed in this update and the succeeding ones the devs roll out.

In the meantime, if you haven’t seen the changes made in the patch released a few days ago, here’s the list:

  • Added Dithering effect option in Advanced video settings. Reduces colour banding but can slightly soften the appearance of foreground assets. Defaults to ‘Off’.
  • Updated Herald’s Wish achievement description to clarify that players must both complete the wish and finish the game.
  • Fixed Savage Beastfly in Far Fields sometimes remaining below the lava.
  • Fixed rare cases of Shrine Guardian Seth getting out of bounds during battle.
  • Fixed rare case of Second Sentinel knocking the player out of bounds during battle.
  • Added catch to prevent Lugoli sometimes flying off screen and not returning during battle.
  • Further reduced chance of Silk Snippers getting stuck out of bounds in Chapel of the Reaper battle.
  • Fixed various instances of dying to bosses while killing them causing death sequences to play messily or out of sync.
  • Fixed Shaman Binding into a bottom transition causing a softlock.
  • Cocoon positions in some locations updated to prevent it spawning in inaccessible areas.
  • Fixed Liquid Lacquer courier delivery not being accessible in Steel Soul mode.
  • Fixed some NPCs not correctly playing cursed hint dialogues in certain instances.
  • Fixed Pondcatcher Reed not being able to fly away after singing.
  • Fixed Verdania memory orbs sometimes replaying layered screen-edge burst effects.
  • Fixed the break counter not working for certain multihitter tools eg Conchcutter.
  • Fixed Volt Filament damage multiplier not applying for certain Silk Skills.
  • Fixed Cogflies and Wisps inappropriately targeting Skullwings.
  • Fixed Cogflies incorrectly resetting their HP to full on scene change.
  • Fixed Curveclaw always breaking on the first hit after being deflected.

Hitman 3 Update 1.033/1.32 Features Bruce Lee as an Ally in New Content Drop

Usually, IO Interactive uses celebrity targets for Agent 47 to kill, but this time, players will ally themselves with Bruce Lee in a new Hitman 3 update (or Hitman World of Assassination if you refer to it as that).

The new Hitman 3 update is available and should appear as version 1.033 on current-gen platforms, and version 1.32 on last-gen.

Read on to see the full patch notes on this unique collaboration, which the developers call the “Season of the Dragon”

Hitman 3’s Latest Update on Sept. 25 Brings the Season of the Dragon via Patch 1.033/1.32

CELEBRITY ELUSIVE TARGET

  • September 25 – November 20 | Bruce Lee stars in a new mission

The Season of the Dragon brings a new Celebrity Elusive Target Mission with a twist. It introduces martial arts legend Bruce Lee as an undercover agent, tasked with infiltrating Concord Union through their underground tournament at the Himmapan Hotel. Bruce Lee will rely on your support to overcome the syndicate’s nefarious tricks and secure his place inside. Victory for him means success for you.

Free Starter Pack players will have a chance to experience this new Celebrity Elusive Target through a two-level Arcade contract, The Dragon, featuring Bruce Lee. Upon failure, progress will restart from the first level, and the contract will be locked for 12 hours until the player can attempt to play the contract again.

The original ‘one chance only’ Elusive Target will only be available to World of Assassination players. Players who launch the Elusive Target will earn “The Master Martial Artist Suit”.

Additionally, we will be releasing a brand new DLC pack to all platforms, The Bruce Lee Pack. This includes The Dragon, a two-level Arcade contract featuring Bruce Lee, along with new melee weapons and Freelancer Safehouse cosmetic items.

The Bruce Lee Pack includes:

Latest Fixes in Marvel Rivals’ Sept. 25 Update

All Platforms

1. We’ve iced an issue with Human Torch’s ‘Hot & Trending’ Achievement that could cause it to fail in rare cases.
2. Fixed a bug where the Battle Pass bonus was playing invisibility cloak at the results screen, but we’ve revealed it for good!
3. Squashed a bug where the player name anonymity effect in the top-left voice prompt stubbornly stuck around like Loki’s tricks, even after the time limit expired.
4. Stopped a dizzying spectator situation where switching to follow-cam and rotating your view with a controller, followed by using keyboard shortcuts, may cause directional inputs to twist like Doctor Strange’s portals!

Heroes

1. Mister Fantastic’s Stretching the Limits: Fixed an issue where Reed’s Stretch Punch could occasionally fail to deal damage when sweeping through targets. No more missed punches, Reed’s reach is as fantastic as ever!
2. Mister Fantastic’s Rubber Rebound: Resolved an issue where the projectile after absorbing damage with Reflexive Rubber sometimes didn’t deal damage. Now, Reed’s payback is truly fantastic!
3. Peni Parker’s Spider-Sync: Addressed a bug where, during her Ultimate Ability, the sound effect for deploying Spider-Drones didn’t match the actual spawn rate while moving. Now Peni and SP//dr are perfectly in sync, no more off-beat spider drops!
4. Luna Snow’s Frosty Footwork Fix: Some of Luna’s costumes had her sliding slightly off-center during her Ultimate Ability dance. Now, her performance stays perfectly centered on stage, no more straying too far from the spotlight!

Console

1. Fixed an issue on consoles where the chat box didn’t auto-focus or pop up the virtual keyboard.

Expect the Season 4 mid-season update from NetEase to introduce Daredevil to the roster, and once it’s live, it’ll be posted here on MP1st.

In other Marvel gaming news, Marvel’s Wolverine has recently been re-revealed by Insomniac Games, and it’s confirmed for release in Fall 2026 on the PS5.

Konami has released Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater update 1.001.004, which the devs call version 1.1.4, and this fixes various issues affecting voice lines, and even one where characters disappear.

This is the second patch released this month, following one in the first week of September that added an inverted camera look.

Read on for the complete list of changes made by the developers today.

Konami has also listed some of the issues they’re taking a look at as well, which include:

Lies of P Receives Update 1.012/1.12 That Resolves Achievement Issue

While Round8 doesn’t release many Lies of P patches, we received one last month that focused on bug fixes, and there’s another one out today too.

Players will see it as Lies of P update 1.12/1.012 (complete version 1.012.000), which addresses an achievement issue that wasn’t previously resolved.

This is a minor update, so don’t expect much from it.

Lies of P Extreme Potential Achievement Issue Resolved via Patch 1.012/1.12

Lies of P Weapons

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where some players could not obtain the “Extreme Potential” achievement through “P-Organ Recalibration” after the previous patch.

That’s the lone thing fixed in today’s update. However, the patch released last month housed a lot more, and in case you haven’t applied it yet, here’s a look at its bug fixes:

Bug Fixes

  • In Death March, destroyed weapons now correctly retain their destroyed status and appearance when continuing to the next battle.
  • Fixed an issue in Death March where destroyed weapons were not repaired after selecting “Select another boss” or “Restart from the beginning”.
  • Fixed a bug where the increased damage from the “Uroboros’s Eye” Handle Fable Arts was not applied correctly.
  • Fixed a bug where closing the game with a weapon’s durability at 0 caused it to be displayed as destroyed after relaunching the game.
  • Fixed a bug where the durability of destroyed weapon were not restored when starting the next playthrough.
  • Fixed a bug where the effect of the “Whirlwind Amulet” was activated by certain enemies’ dodge actions during combat.
  • Fixed a bug where some monsters would not take damage from the “Sharp Pipe” in certain situations.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Champion Victor’s Phase 1 form to occasionally remain for a short time after entering Phase 2 of his boss fight.
  • Fixed a bug where the Two-faced Overseer’s boss entrance animation would occasionally not play correctly.
  • Adjusted the dialogue order for some NPCs to be more natural.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed movement to unintended areas outside the normal route.
  • Fixed a bug where Death Ergo was occasionally dropped in an unintended location.
  • Fixed a bug where the “Extreme Potential” achievement could not be obtained through “P-Organ Recalibration”.
    • Players who encounterd this bug can unlock this achievement by loading the affected save data after this patch.
  • Fixed typos in the achievement descriptions for Polish and Japanese.
  • Fixed a bug where the Motion Blur setting in [Settings → Gameplay → Motion Blur] was not applied correctly.

Lies of P developer Round8 is working on not only a sequel, but also a survival-horror project. Once we know more about both, you can expect to see it here on MP1st.

HoYoverse Reveals Cozy Life Sim Game Petit Planet

HoYoverse, the studio behind free-to-play games like Zenless Zone Zero, Genshin Impact, and Honkai: Star Rail, has announced an all-new game, Petit Planet.

But don’t think for a minute that this is another action fantasy, as players will be trading up the life of a hero for something far more relaxing.

A Cozy Cosmic Life Sim

Petit Planet is an all-new experience from HoYoverse, built as a life simulator where players will take on several relaxing activities, such as planting, fishing, beachcombing, mining, cooking, and crafting.

“In Petit Planet, players are entrusted to nurture a planet of their own and gradually form a galaxy by connecting with different planets scattered across the starry sky. The journey begins on each player’s planet, where fuzzy Neighbors can connect their home planets. As bonds deepen and planets flourish, Luca, the planet’s vitality, will shape each unique planet with different landscapes, brimming with life and energy.

The galaxy shines brighter through connections with traveling Neighbors, each carrying their own personalities, stories, and dreams. These fuzzy companions can be invited to settle, and friendships can grow through heartfelt conversations, thoughtful gift exchanges, and unique interactions that make every bond distinct. As the planet prospers, so do the friendships upon it. Petit Planet weaves relationship building into daily activities to unlock deeper connections, turning ordinary encounters into cosmic wonders.

Even so, connections built in Petit Planet are never confined to your own planet. Players may board their trusty vehicle with helpful Neighbors to take a Starsea Voyage, venturing into unknown Islets, discovering rare creatures, uncovering hidden recipes, and forging unexpected friendships across the galaxy. Beyond exploration lies the Galactic Bazaar, an ever-bustling social hub where conversations spark over coffee, festival events bring joy to the sky, and friendships are formed with other players, turning a fleeting moment into a lasting connection.”

Closed beta sign-ups are now open on the official Petit Planet website, and at the moment, the game is targeting a release on PC and mobile, with additional platforms in development.

This is pretty surprising, especially since they just announced Honkai: Nexus Animus just last month. Wasn’t expecting another game to be announced from them, yet alone a life sim, and it certainly looks to be an interesting one. Definitely worth keeping an eye on if you love their games and are a fan of life sims.

There is no target release date at the moment.

We’re sure we’ll see these collaborations eventually extend there for those wanting to pick up their new case sometime in the future.

Annapurna Interactive Reveals Three New Games: D-topia, People of Note, Demi and the Fractured Dream

Annapurna Interactive, the publisher that brought us Stray and Outer Wilds, along with countless other hits, has just revealed three brand-new games during their Annapurna Direct showcase.

While none of them are Stray 2 (sad cat face), the new titles do look to be an exciting mix of genres, from a turn-based musical RPG, a cute and cozy puzzle-adventure, to an action-adventure title inspired by classic Zelda games.

Annapurna Direct Recap

About D-topia

Step into a future where happiness is curated by artificial intelligence, in this gentle-paced puzzle adventure.

The Utopia Project was created in the interest of maximizing human happiness and comfort. As the newest residential Facilitator at D-topia, your role is to resolve issues around the residential community. Tackle fun logic-based puzzles to resolve mechanical issues and keep the facilities running smoothly and meet the many vibrant residents, each with their own unique story and personal struggle.

But what happens when problems go beyond the mechanical? How will your choices impact the wellbeing of the residents, and the future of humanity? In a world of curated happiness, what does it mean to find purpose?

About People of Note

In this bold turn-based RPG, where musical numbers meet thrilling combat, join pop singer Cadence on her quest for stardom.

After being shut out of the Noteworthy Song Contest, Cadence realizes that her solo act might not be enough for the judges. As she travels across Note to the Rock City of Durandis, the EDM City of Lumina, and more, Cadence fills out her band with eclectic and powerful musicians from lands afar. But something’s brewing in the distance…the Harmonic Convergence is playing havoc with the world’s musical energies, and dark forces are working behind the scenes to disrupt Note’s natural harmonies. It wasn’t in the set list, but Cadence and the others need to step up and make sure music itself still has a future on stage.

In People of Note, experience turn-based combat like never before: each battle is an interactive musical performance with evolving combat conditions, real-time rhythm-based attacks, and genre-bending mashup attacks!

About Demi and the Fractured Dream

In this enchanting action-adventure, play as Demi and venture through the world of Somnus.

As a Voidsent, Demi can harness the powers of the void. While the void curse eats away at you, it also empowers you. Guided by a mysterious voice that whispers from beyond, Demi must travel the wondrous yet perilous realms, from the wind-swept spires of the Desert Kingdom to the spiritual waters of the Marsh Kingdom, to slay the three Accursed Beasts and stave off a world-ending awakening.

Tackle dungeons filled with environmental puzzles, use your wide arsenal of attacks, spells, and tools to vanquish void monsters, and defeat the three Accursed Beasts of legend. As your story unfolds, what will you unveil about your own role in this world?

That’s all the new games revealed during Annapurna Direct—definitely some interesting titles here, ones worth giving a try whenever they release. I’m sure most eyes are on Demi and the Fractured Dream, given the clear The Legend of Zelda inspiration it has going on, but People of Note does seem to have a pretty unique idea, being both a turn-based and a rhythm game. That’s not a genre mash-up you typically see, and I would love to see how they manage to pull that off.

Then there’s D-topia, one of the more cozier games revealed at this event. Hey, it might not be Stray 2 by any degree, but it does feature a rather chunky cat, so what is there not to like about it already?

All of these titles are scheduled to come out “soon.”
