Fortnite 3.1.1 Update Is Live, Here’s What It Does
The Fortnite 3.1.1 update is now live across PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Unlike the previous update, which implemented a huge number of changes, the 3.1.1 update only aims to fix one thing: the client crashes that some players are experiencing.
It’s a small update which makes a minor fix. What’s great, is that it doesn’t require any downtime. However, players may need to restart the game for the patch to take effect.
Epic Games tweeted out details of the Fortnite 3.1.1 update on the game’s official Twitter account:
Patch 3.1.1 is planned to release tomorrow at 4:00AM ET(09:00 GMT). This is to fix client crashes some players are experiencing. There will be no downtime for this patch, but you may need to restart for the update to take effect.

Are you a fan of the speedy support that Epic Games is providing? The team is certainly responding quickly to player issues, which I’m sure many will appreciate, especially before the weekend.
In other Fortnite news, the double pump strategy has returned, Josh Hart got some custom Fortnite shoes, and this custom hoverboard track looks incredible.
