While there are a ton of games focused on magic, fantasy, and the like, we don’t get enough games featuring a mech as the protagonist. Sure, FromSoftware’s Armored Core series is there, but that’s not enough. Thankfully, there’s another one on the way, and it looks solid so far.
Developed by Marvelous Inc., the game is Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion, and it’s due for release on PC and consoles later this year. If you haven’t heard of the game, there’s a new trailer out that showcases the combat and more.
Nintendo is taking legal action against Genki, a Japanese accessory maker, for showing a nearly identical replica of the Nintendo Switch 2 before its official announcement.
Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion Brings Mecha Combat on September 9
The reveal of the combat basics of the game is the first of many to cover the gameplay system of Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion. Former Armored Core dev Kenichiro Tsukuda is behind the title, with Shōji Kawamori doing design duties for the mechs. Kawamori is known by many as the creator of Macross, the legendary mecha animation.
Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion Key Features:
A Titanic Evolution – Daemon X Machina’s high-octane armored action debuts on a new generation of platforms, bringing with it an epic sci-fi adventure, gameplay that’s accessible to newcomers, and an expanded scope sure to satisfy returning fans.
Build a Better You – Now a nimble suit of armor, each Arsenal can be fully customized both in design and in loadout, with the ability to craft or salvage new elements.
Together You Can Make a Difference – Cooperative and asynchronous multiplayer means players never truly fight alone. Team up with friends online to tackle the epic story and battles together.
Beautiful and Deadly – Explore an alien planet in an Arsenal as players battle against mechanical and organic enemies. Trek through the vast open world on foot, fly through the skies, or when all else fails, gallop on horseback across plains, swamps, mountains, and more.

A gamer at heart, James has been working for MP1st for the last decade to do exactly what he loves, writing about video games and having fun doing it. Growing up in the 90's gaming has been in his DNA since the days of NES. One day he hopes to develop his own game.
In case you didn’t know, Sandfall Interactive’s boss Guillaume Broche, was a former Ubisoft employee who worked as a Brand Development Manager/Narrative Lead before starting his own studio that released the hit RPG. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
Why did Broche go through all the trouble of establishing his own studio, finding a publisher for Expedition 33 instead of just pitching the game to Ubisoft? It’s due to the project most likely not getting the green light.
This was something Broche confirmed in a video interview with French content creator Pouce Cafe. According to Broche, approving a game like Expedition 33 with an original IP, characters is extremely hard, and a dev would normally have to be pretty high up in the food chain to even get the chance to pitch it to the corporate bigwigs.
Just a few days ago, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was released, and to the surprise of many, the turn-based RPG turned out to be a massive critical hit garnering scores that made it the best-reviewed game of 2025 so far.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Would Have Taken 25 Years to Make If in a Big Company
Broche shares (via machine translation), “Yeah, very clearly. Projects like these—with new IPs, original stories, completely original characters—are super hard to push through in a big company. There are a lot of approval steps, and in general, in big structures, you already have to have proven yourself and be pretty high up in the hierarchy just to have a chance at pitching this kind of project.”
While a logical assumption is that a bigger studio would have made developing the game easier, that wouldn’t be the case, as Broche thinks that if a big company were behind it, it would take decades to make. “So yeah, for me, a project like this would’ve taken 25 years to make in a big company. And I don’t have that much patience. We also wanted to do things our own way and really create an atmosphere. That’s what this game is—creating a vibe,” shares the studio boss.
Broche also mentions how Sandfall’s being an indie studio helped develop the game the “right” way, stating, “And I think if we succeeded, it’s also because we did things right. We got some really nice offices, with a big garden—we play pétanque every lunchtime, which even shows up in the game. To create a game that feels passionate, we really needed that “group of friends making something together” vibe.
Indie hit Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has just gotten its first post-release patch today on consoles and PC.
“That’s something you can really only do in an indie studio. The game might seem big, but here in Montpellier, we’re only 25 people. We all know each other well. So yeah, it’s much harder to pull something like this off in a big studio than in a small one. But starting your own studio is super hard too—it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a lot of work. As a founder, you get very few vacations and sleepless nights for a few years. But it’s worth it. Totally worth it,” finished Broche
Given how Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a turn-based RPG that’s not open-world and doesn’t have the appeal of an established IP, I get where Broche is coming from. On paper, it wouldn’t make a lot of sense to approve a project like Expedition 33, but that’s exactly what publisher Kepler Interactive did, and it’s paying off big-time.
Since its release, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has been a certified hit both critically and commercially, and it is now the highest-rated title of 2025. Hopefully, other game publishers take notice of the game and push for more risky projects since that’s how we see titles like these come out of nowhere and hit us like a truck.
Nintendo is taking legal action against Genki, a Japanese accessory maker, for showing a nearly identical replica of the Nintendo Switch 2 before its official announcement.
Genki caused a stir earlier this year when they unveiled a 3D printed mockup of the Switch 2 at the CES 2025 in Las Vegas, one of the biggest tech events. This replica revealed details like the size of the console, magnetic Joy-Con controllers, and the potential for using them as a mouse. This leak gave the public a sneak peek at features that were later confirmed when Nintendo officially revealed the Switch 2 in April.
With the Switch 2 set to be released in June, Nintendo is prepping the original Switch for its arrival with a feature announced at the Switch 2 reveal, the Virtual Game-Card.
Nintendo Takes Legal Action Against Genki
Nintendo has filed a lawsuit against Human Things, the parent company of Genki, in a California court. The lawsuit accuses the company of violating trademarks, unfair competition, misleading advertising, and disclosing confidential information about the design and features of the Switch 2 through interviews.
Nintendo is requesting the immediate destruction of all products associated with the Switch 1 and 2, a stop to the use of their trademarks, and compensation for the damages caused by the leak, with the amount to be tripled.
The lawsuit also includes what Nintendo calls the “timeline of Genki’s wrongdoings,” starting with a post on X (formerly Twitter) where Genki’s CEO claimed to have private details about the Switch 2. This was followed by the CES 2025 mockup and a parody event called “Genki Direct” on April 2, the same day as the official Switch 2 announcement.
To make matters worse, in January, Genki posted a photo of CEO Edward Tsai making a “shh” gesture with the caption “Genki ninjas infiltrate Nintendo Kyoto HQ,” which Nintendo claims was an attempt to confuse the public about Genki’s connection to the Switch 2.
This isn’t the first time Nintendo has taken legal action against companies over its trademarks and intellectual property. Not long ago, Nintendo filed a lawsuit against a grocery store named Super Mario in San Ramon, Costa Rica, demanding a name change. However, the Costa Rican National Registry rejected Nintendo’s request, ruling that its Super Mario trademark lacked classification in the country.
Nonetheless, If Genki’s goal was to get noticed by Nintendo’s famous legal team, it looks like they’ve succeeded. Human Things now has 30 days to respond to the lawsuit, which lines up with the expected launch of the Switch 2.
Turtle Beach is expanding its gaming peripheral lineup this Spring, and it all starts with some new officially licensed controllers and headsets for both Xbox and Nintendo.
In a rather unexpected and surprising reveal during the second anniversary Honkai: Star Rail concert, HoYoverse has revealed a brand-new Honkai game.
While it doesn’t have a name yet, the teaser trailer features familiar characters from other Honkai games and hints at characters doing battle with creatures, rather than with each other.
For those who know, the two characters are from other Honkai games. Kiana is from Honkai Impact 3rd, and Blade is from Honkai: Star Rail. In almost all of the Honkai games, and HoYoverse games in general, the characters are the ones doing the combat. But as we saw in this very short teaser, it looks like they’ll be taking a bit of a backseat, and instead will battle with creatures.
That sounds a lot like Pokémon, though, of course, we’ll have to wait and see just how similar it is and if it’ll feature any creature capturing. Ironically, if this is a Pokémon-inspired game of some sort, Shinichiro Miki, Blade’s voice actor in Japan, also happened to be the Japanese voice of our favorite Team Rocket member, James. It’s almost like coming full circle for him!
There’s no official title for the new game, nor did HoYoverse hint at when we can expect to see more of it. Safe to assume it will be coming to PC, Mobile, and Consoles, though it may come to PlayStation first for the console, if any of the studio’s past releases are any indicator.
We’ll keep an eye on this. In the meantime, Genshin Impact players will have the new update to look forward to next week.
A gamer at heart, James has been working for MP1st for the last decade to do exactly what he loves, writing about video games and having fun doing it. Growing up in the 90's gaming has been in his DNA since the days of NES. One day he hopes to develop his own game.
It seems that gameplay footage from the upcoming action game MindsEye has leaked online. The game is being developed by Build a Rocket Boy, a studio founded by Leslie Benzies, a video game producer and the former president of Rockstar North.
Streamer Agent00 reportedly received this footage, which was not meant to be shared on Twitch. The leaked videos showcase an intense shootout in a warehouse and a thrilling drive through a futuristic city. Additionally, some gameplay elements are visible, including a weapon selection wheel, giving us a closer look at how the game will function.
With more and more game companies using AI (Artificial Intelligence) to help with development, could we be seeing a future where we'll see full-fledged, AAA games developed entirely by AI?
That won't be happening according to Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick, as AI won't be able to replicate human creativity.
MindsEye Shows Strong Similarities to GTA
From what we have seen, MindsEye gameplay looks remarkably similar to the GTA games, whether in terms of the open world design, the driving style, or even the shooting. This similarity will likely draw even more attention to the game, especially after GTA 6 was postponed to next year.
If you don’t know what MindsEye is about, it is a sci-fi action game set in the near future city of Redrock, a super-heated, desert metropolis where technology is king. You’ll play as Jacob Diaz, a former special-ops soldier, haunted by fragmented memories from his MindsEye neural implant. The game’s official description reads, “MindsEye is a narrative driven, single-player action-adventure thriller set in the near-future fictional desert city of Redrock. Featuring best-in-class cinematics, high octane driving, and explosive combat from game director, Leslie Benzies.”
MindsEye is set to release on June 10, 2025, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, with a price of $59.99. You can also watch the official story trailer of the game here.
As for GTA, which this game will no doubt be compared to, Grand Theft Auto 6 now has a release date, and it’s in May 2026.
Update: A video of the event where Horii was interviewed surfaced, debunking that any confirmation happened. Sorry to spoil everyone’s fun, but as far as we’re aware, there is no Chrono Trigger remake in the works.
Original Story:
While Square Enix is busy remaking Final Fantasy 7, it seems the company has another high-profile remake in the works. It would arguably be even bigger than the Final Fantasy 7 remakes if true.
This latest bit of info comes from Comicon event in Naples, where Yuji Horii, the creator of the Dragon Quest franchise, was in attendance to talk to fans.
Another day, another batch of gaming rumors, this time relating to Square Enix's PlayStation console-exclusive Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
Chrono Trigger Remake Would Remind People Why Many Consider It the Best Game of All-Time
A picture from Comicon in Naples, where Horii was in attendance, has been posted on the Chrono Trigger subreddit. According to the thread starter, Horii accidentally let it slip in an interview. The host then whispered something to the game creator, who then covered his mouth.
Another redditor, who claims they were in attendance, shared what transpired, “I can confirm I was among those who cheered. He said something along the line of what you said and the interviewer said “Wait, if that’s true, this is big” The translator asked for a confirmation to Horii who presumably understood that he shouldn’t have said that and the translator commented: ‘You have heard nothing'”
It’s hardly the most reliable leak, but it does seem plausible that Square Enix would remake more classic titles, given the success of the Final Fantasy 7 remake games.
For those old enough to remember, Chrono Trigger was the “dream team” project back then, as it featured Hironobu Sakaguchi (creator of Square’s Final Fantasy series), collaborating with Yuji Horii (creator of Enix’s Dragon Quest series, which was a separate company from Square then). Akira Toriyama (creator of the Dragon Ball manga) all collaborating on one game. Needless to say, it was an instant hit, and what many consider one of the best RPGs of all time.
This is one of those rumors/leaks that I’m hoping is true, as the idea of Chrono Trigger with all-new graphics, new gameplay mechanics and more, makes me giddy like a schoolgirl.
Just a few days ago, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was released, and to the surprise of many, the turn-based RPG turned out to be a massive critical hit garnering scores that made it the best-reviewed game of 2025 so far.
It’s been a while since we’ve had a Weekend Offer sale on PSN, but there’s one live now. This is to celebrate the upcoming Star Wars Day (May 4th)! If you’re looking to celebrate the event by playing a Star Wars video game, this sale should have you covered.
Unless I’m mistaken, the sale has all the recent Star Wars game releases, which means if you’re looking forward to the most recent re-release of the older Star Wars games like Jedi Power Battles and the like, you’re in luck, as the games have steep discounts tied to them.
Dogubomb’s latest patch for indie puzzle game hit Blue Prince resolves a lot of issues, though sadly, not the one PS5 owners are looking forward to the most. Initially released on PC a few days ago, Blue Prince update 1.006 (complete version 1.006.000) is now out on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and this is the same patch as version 1.04 on PC.
Same as with other patches, this update contains spoilers, so proceed with cautiio since the story-related fixes can’t be documented unless it’s mentioned in full.
In news that should shock absolutely no one, Rockstar Games has today confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) has been delayed to 2026! The good thing here is, they have nailed a release date down, which is May 26.

PS5 Save Rollback Issue
Dogubomb says they are aware of the save issue players have been reporting, and the dev team is working directly with Sony and hopes to have an update about this soon. The developers say anything affecting saves is “very sensitive” so they are taking their time to thoroughly test it.
If you’re affected by the bug, contact the Raw Fury helpdesk to help them narrow down a fix.
Originally set to release in May, developers Ultizero Games have announced that their upcoming single-player action game, Lost Soul Aside, is being delayed by three months.
The studio will use the extra time to continue polishing the game.
Following the feature-rich patch for Assassin's Creed Shadows released earlier this month, Ubisoft has confirmed that more updates are on the way, including not just fixes but new features and content.
Lost Soul Aside Delayed for More Polishing
It’s been almost a decade since Lost Soul Aside was announced, and with just 30 days away from release, it has sadly been delayed. Game Director and the studio’s CEO, Yang Bing, announced the news in a post on Steam. Though he keeps the statement short, he does offer a good reason for the delay, that being to ensure the game is up to their standards.
“Dear Fans,
We are truly grateful for the positive response we’ve received from players all over the world since we announced Lost Soul Aside. We remain committed to delivering a high-quality game experience. To match the standards Ultizero Games have set for ourselves, we are going to take some additional time to polish the game.
Lost Soul Aside will now release on August 29, 2025.
We want to express our heartfelt thanks to our fans waiting for the launch.
Yang Bing – Game Director & CEO, Ultizero Games”
Bummer, was looking forward to this one next month, but hey, can’t complain too much if the studio says they need more time. Let’s hope this is the last delay we’ll see for the title! Perhaps we’ll also see some updated PC specs before release, too?
Lost Soul Aside releases on August 29, 2025, for the PS5 and PC.

The delay was announced by Rockstar with a note apologizing to gamers, and how this was “humbling” for the entire team.
Grand Theft Auto VI is now set to release on May 26, 2026.
We are very sorry that this is later than you expected. The interest and excitement surrounding a new Grand Theft Auto has been truly humbling for our entire team. We want to thank you for your support and your patience as we work to finish the game.
With every game we have released, the goal has always been to try and exceed your expectations, and Grand Theft Auto VI is no exception. We hope you understand that we need this extra time to deliver at the level of quality you expect and deserve.
We look forward to sharing more information with you soon.
Sincerely,
Rockstar Games
I can’t say we’re surprised at this development. We got one trailer for the game, and it’s supposed to be released in a few months? Yeah, that’s not going to happen. Not to mention, the franchise is known for delaying its games. Show of hands to anyone who believed the game would meet its “Fall 2025” release schedule? Yeah, thought so.

Nintendo has released a new Nintendo Switch system update today which is version number 20.0.1. This update comes three days after system update 20.0.0 was released to get ready for Switch 2 game sharing.
Today’s update is a small one because it just fixses an error code. Read the resr of the patch notes below.
The team at Digital Foundry has published a preview of the graphics performance seen in games running on the new Nintendo Switch 2, suggesting that the new console offers graphics similar to the PlayStation 4, with some improvements.

With the Nintendo Switch 2 out on June 2, Nintendo Switch fans may have to update both of their consoles in the near future. No doubt the Switch 2 will have more new features that the Switch 1 does not have. More coverage on the Switch 2 will be posted later this year.
With the release of the Nintendo Switch 2, the company is introducing several new game formats that might be a bit confusing, at least until they become more common.
As expected given the announcement last month, the latest Star Wars collaboration is unleashed in Fortnite! The Galactic Battle starts today by downloading the Fortnite update 4.66 file.
This ushers in new Force powers, new weapons, and a lot more! Not only will this be in Battle Royale, but LEGO Brick Life and Odyssey will also experience the Star Wars magic.
Epic Games is teaming up with Disney next month for what they call their "Biggest Star Wars Collaboration" in Fortnite yet.
Fortnite Update 4.66 Galactic Battle New Content Overview
An Imperial Takeover
New locations are part of the collab, which we’ve listed below:
First Order Base – The First Order has claimed a mountaintop to house its imposing base of operations, which includes a hangar for repairing damaged First Order TIE fighters. There are five entrances, but its utility shaft is its main point of weakness and where you’ll find it easiest to sneak in.
Outpost Enclave – There’s an element of danger to the Outpost Enclave, a boisterous hub of smuggler activity where tensions are known to run high. While you’re in the area, check out the interior of the parked sandcrawler nearby.
Resistance Base – The underground Resistance command center is shrouded in foliage, hiding the facility’s location from any ships passing overhead. Here, you’ll find X-wings and a ton of handy equipment for taking on the First Order’s fleet.
Vader Samurai’s Solitude – Darth Vader Samurai has seized Shogun’s Solitude and turned it into his own personal fortress. Deal with his stormtrooper samurai guards and you may get the chance to challenge the Sith Lord himself…
Lightsaber and Force Powers
An elegant weapon for a more civilized age, the use of a lightsaber is the mark of a Jedi though it’s used by their sworn enemies, the Sith, as well. It’s handy for deflecting blaster bolts back at adversaries, and you’ll also sprint faster, jump twice as high, and have fall damage immunity while brandishing one. Lightsabers are not found but earned — you must train in the Force or, you know, just loot it off another player.
Force Push – Find and train with hologram Rey to earn a Blue Lightsaber and learn how to push like a Jedi, which shoves everything in front of you.
Force Lightning – train with hologram Emperor Palpatine to earn a Red Lightsaber and learn a shocking new way to deal damage
Players must have a lightsaber equipped to use these Force powers, and these are tied to players not lightsabers. This means that players who loot a lightsaber from an enemy or find one on the ground will not receive a Force Ability once they wield it.
Players who defeat Darth Vader Samurai will earn a different red-colored lightsaber and learn Force Saber Throw, which lets you fling your lightsaber in front of you and have it return just like a dangerous boomerang.
Galactic Battle Blasters
As far as non-lightsaber weapons go, it’s blasters-only on day one! You’ve got your:
Reliable DL-44 Blaster Pistol
Heavy CR-2 Blaster (an SMG!)
Close-range ACP Scatter Blaster and BARM-ST12 Scatter Blaster
Close-to-medium range DLT-19 Blaster Rifle
Long-range IQA-11 Marksman Blaster Rifle
All-purpose A280-CFE Blaster Rifle
(unvaulted) Highly accurate DC-15 Heavy Blaster Rifle
(unvaulted) Empire standard Issue E-11 Blaster
(unvaulted) First Order standard issue F-11 Blaster
Thermal Imploder – Run away before its compression vacuum ignites for big damage, ripping a hole in any nearby structures.
Captain Phasma – The Greatest Warrior of Parnassos
Captain Phasma is the commander of the First Order’s legion of stormtroopers. If you can infiltrate the First Order Base and defeat her in battle, you’ll be rewarded with the Mythic Captain Phasma’s F-11D Blaster and Phasma’s Blaster Medallion. The Phasma’s Blaster Medallion extends how long it takes a blaster weapon to overheat, and reduces its cooldown. (Cool!)
Remember: Medallions make you visible on opponents’ mini-map, and the more Medallions you have, the more precise the radius of your exact location.
Starfighter and X-Wing
Imperial TIE fighter – a single-passenger craft designed as an instrument of the Empire. Equipped with high-powered blasters, it can potentially be an instrument of your next Victory Royale.
X-Wing – It’s crucial to utilize its laser cannons, especially if you find yourself in an aerial dogfight.
What to Expect in Galactic Battle in the Coming Weeks
May 8 Brings Familiar Star Wars Characters to the Game
The three OG Star Wars characters, Luke, Leia and Han Solo will arrive on May 8 alongside hologram Mace Windu! Train with Windu to earn a Purple Lightsaber and learn Force Pull, which lets you pull in anything or anyone nearby.
The Sith won’t be left wanting, as Lord Darth Maul will be around in holographic form as well, and will offering Red Lightsabers and Force Throw, which lets players pick up objects and throw them as projectiles.
May 15 – Chewie Arrives
Chewbacca’s ETA is May 15, and he’s bringing his Wookiee Bowcaster to the loot pool to aid the rebels. You’ll also find the powerful CA-87 Jawa Scatter Blaster in Chests around the Island — new to Fortnite!
May 22 – Mandalorian Jets In
On May 22, Mandalorians will intervene. You’ll be able to recruit a Heavy, Scout, Supply, or Medic Mandalorian to your team, and gain further advantage over your opponents with the unvaulted Mandalorian Jetpack! Also, keep an eye out for signature Mandalorian weapons: the Amban Sniper Rifle and the new dual-wield WESTAR-34 Blaster Pistols.
May 29 – Star Destroyer Bombardment
On May 29, assume control of a Star Destroyer’s turbolaser and lay waste from above! A single portal to the Star Destroyer’s control room will spawn every match — be the first to reach it and the capital ship is yours.
June 7 – Final Showdown: Death Star Sabotage
Mobilize and take the fight to Emperor Palpatine in a live, in-game narrative event on June 7. Never tell me the odds!
There are also new Battle Pass items, in-game shop additions and more, which you can check out to see if it’s worth spending V-Bucks on.
It seems that rumors of a new Titanfall game being in development may have been true, at least to some degree, as Respawn announced today that they have stepped away from two very early projects in favor of focusing on Apex Legends and the Star Wars: Jedi franchise.

Star Wars Festival – Celebrate Star Wars Day a little bit early! Players can grab a bite in the Durrr Burger Cantina, score goals in Death Starball Soccer, hang out with a Porg, and even acquire some Star Wars-themed prizes over time.
Rapid Survival – Kicks off on May 15! An eight-player survival experience on the existing Star Wars Island. While you wait, now’s a great time to revisit the Star Wars Island in your world so you can finish leveling up the Rebel Village!
May 2 will also see the all-new First Order LEGO Pass.
LEGO Fortnite Brick Life: Star Wars Festival
Brick Bay: Star Wars Festival at the Town Square – This gathering for Star Wars fans everywhere will be going on from May 2 until June 7, 2025 Eastern Time.
Apprentice Evie – She’s got an important mission that requires your help, making sure Brick Bay’s festival is the biggest Star Wars celebration in the entire galaxy!
Durrr Burger Cantina – The pop-up shop is home to the Bantha Burger, one of many out-of-this-world delicacies you can rustle up!
Evive will have more to do later in May per Epic Games.
Oh, and the festival’s allegiance is still to be decided. Head to the Town Hall and cast your vote for the Rebel Alliance or Galactic Empire using Creds. The side currently holding the most Creds across the whole Brick Life community will determine the festival’s overall theme.
LEGO Fortnite Odyssey: Rapid Survival
Rapid Survival — a fast-paced eight-player survival experience!
Rapid Survival will be open May 15 from the launch of v35.10 until May 26 at 9 AM ET. Wanna know how to take part? We’ve got you covered:
Open Fortnite on your selected platform.
When Rapid Survival is happening, head to the “By Epic” row in Discover and choose Rapid Survival.
Press “Play.”
A pop-up will appear asking if you would like to join the public world. Press “Join”!
Simply wait for matchmaking to do its stuff, and then you’re in.
When you’re playing Rapid Survival, you’re playing in a public world that you can spend up to four hours in, not your own world. Your progress and inventory will not be saved beyond each play session, and player versus player combat is ON. Even though PvP combat is on, you can also choose to team up against the Star Wars enemies! Elimination is also ON, so be careful.
Each time you jump into a Rapid Survival public world, you’ll be granted this starting loadout:
Lightsaber
Macrobinoculars
Granite Axe
Granite Pickaxe
Rare Health Charm
Rare Glider
30 Granite
30 Wood
20 Wooden Rods
20 Planks
20 Granite Slabs
20 Cord
20 Copper Bars
20 Metal Plates
20 Cooked Corn
10 Blast Powder

Time also moves three times faster than normal, but so does crafting and processing times! In addition, you’ll become like a Jedi Master with everything unlocked from the start. (Building is restricted in Rapid Survival to Builds, but all Builds will be unlocked.)
It’s time to take on Darth Jar Jar Binks, as the Star Wars Galactic Battle event is kicking off today in Fortnite! Players can now download Fortnite update 35.00, which will show up as version 1.000.177 on consoles.
There is a lot to take in here, as the Star Wars collab also spills into LEGO! Yes, it’s a three-way collab-athon with Fortnite x LEGO x Star Wars! Prepare to wield a lightsaber, learn Force Push and a lot more.
Read on for what to expect in terms of new content.
Epic Games is teaming up with Disney next month for what they call their "Biggest Star Wars Collaboration" in Fortnite yet.
Fortnite Update 35.00 New Content in Galactic Battle

With Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 a bona fide hit, some might wonder where the RPG is played the most. Is it on consoles or PC? Thanks to an analytics company, we now have numbers for that.
The answer shouldn’t surprise anyone, given that the RPG has been available on Game Pass as a “free” game since it launched on April 24.
According to the data from Ampere (via The Game Business), 45% of Expedition 33 players were on Xbox, with PS5 players accounting for 30%, and 25% of players were on Steam. This is understandable given Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was free for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, compared to PS5 where players will need to pony up $50 in order to play it.
While old-school, indie hit RPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is nowhere near a short game, especially if you factor in the side missions and optional bosses, could we be getting more content in the form of DLC down the line?
Developer Sandfall Interactive has not officially announced anything yet, but based on the game's lead writer, it's not off the table.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Oblivion Remastered Play Time Per Platform Shows the Power of Game Pass
The company’s data also reveals that 35% of Expedition 33 gamers also played The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered,.Around 55% of Xbox Expedition 33 players also played Bethesda’s RPG. For reference, both games were released the same week on the Xbox Game Pass service, which explains the high cross-over numbers.
For PS5, the cross-over numbers drop significantly to 16%, which is understandable given you have to buy each game separately at full price. PC data shows 22% of Steam players tried both RPGs.
Regarding Oblivion Remastered, the data indicates 47% of players were from Xbox, with Steam as the no.2 platform accounting for 34%, and 19% on PS5. Again, the Xbox numbers are bolstered by Game Pass, which heavily skews the data in favor of Microsoft’s console, given that Expedition 33 and Oblivion Remastered were not part of any subscription service on Steam or PS5.
Tracking average playtime for Expedition 33 yielded 2.2 hours on Xbox, 4.4 hours on PS5 and Steam. For Oblivion Remastered, average game time on Xbox was 2.2 hours, Steam at 3.6 hours, and PS5 at 3.8 hours.
The data sample pool covers “major” European markets, Canada, Australia, UK and the US. It tracked all players from each game’s launch until Sunday, April 27.
Whatever the data shows, one thing is clear: it’s been a good month for RPG gamers. We’re eating well whichever platform you’re on.
Just a few days ago, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was released, and to the surprise of many, the turn-based RPG turned out to be a massive critical hit garnering scores that made it the best-reviewed game of 2025 so far.
Diablo IV update 1.083 is now live to download for console and PC gamers, and this is a hotfix aimed at fixing specific issues. Don’t expect any new content or even changes to the Battle Pass system with this title update.
Alongside the confirmed fixes, we have listed some of the known issues that’s still plaguing the game, which we expect to be resolved in another update.
Microsoft has just announced that it is planning a significant price increase for the Xbox line.

After the massive Season 8 patch for Diablo 4, it’s almost an inevitability that something is going to break that will need a new patch to resolve. Right as rain, that’s what we have now with Blizzard’s Diablo 4 update 1.83 download rolled out for consoles and PC.
This minor patch aims to resolve a few key issues rather than offer anything new, which is something we expected, given that the Seaosn 8 patch introduced a fair number of new items.
It looks like Assassin’s Creed Shadows might be adding a multiplayer mode, based on some recent discoveries from the game’s files.
