Players who make it into to the Top 500 in Immortal War will enter the Immortal Leaderboard. This leaderboard is updated every Monday at 04:00 (UTC). Being in the Top 500 earns you a special title. At the end of the season, players that earned a special title this way will receive an Avatar reward as well. A player who is on the Immortal Leaderboard at the end of the season will receive additional rewards.
In addition, the Top 3 players of the last tally will be awarded exclusive Hero Badges.
1. By completing Daily Quests, players can obtain Cyra’s Tokens: Grail, Temperance, Sun, and Fate and have an additional chance to obtain one of the following rewards: Tae, Spectral Silk, Mythic Treasure, Peerless Treasure Choice Gift, Hero Coin, Legendary Trial Card, and Aurora Coins.
2. There are 4 Sections, which can be unlocked with the corresponding Tokens.
3. You can claim rewards by unlocking any of the four Sections. Some rewards will be available after the new version is released, so stay tuned.

Training Course
There’s no better way to get used to all the Omnimovement innovations and combat basics required to be proficient in Black Ops 6 than jumping into the Training Course featured on the Multiplayer map, Protocol. Follow the training missions assigned to you and pay attention to the instructions. Run around the Training Course as often as you wish and practice your favorite maneuvers before facing real players in the Lobby Playlists.
Firing Range
The Firing Range Returns: A familiar location to test your equipped Loadout weapons is available, and this comes with a few additions to help you continuously adjust a weapon build until you’re happy with it. Expect to utilize the following:
Practice dummies to shoot at, at 10-, 25-, and 50-meter intervals.
Dummies can have 0, 1, 2, or 3 Armor Plates added to them.
You have limitless ammunition.
The upper-left corner features a target elimination tracker, an accuracy tracker, and a damage tracker.
A toggle feature allows you to optionally activate a Moving Target dummy, or a Recoil metal plate.
Toggle Feature: Moving Target: A dummy drops down from the ceiling on a conveyor belt, and automatically moves back through the range as you connect with it using your weapon. Once you hit it at maximum range, it moves back to its initial position, and the process can be repeated.
Toggle Feature: Recoil Target: A metal plate hangs from the ceiling around seven meters from your booth, allowing you to fire your weapon and view the bullet spread.
Theater Mode
Theater Mode: Available in Multiplayer for Black Ops 6 at launch and for the first time in the new Call of Duty Engine, Theater Mode lets you capture your recent action-hero moments in all of their glory. Here’s what you can expect when playing back a replay file in Theater:
Switch between First-Person, Third-Person, and Fly-Cam perspectives for all players in the match.
Elimination and Deaths are visualized on the timeline. Easily skip to the viewed player’s next Elimination on the timeline.
Fast-Forward, Rewind, and full playback speed control.
Press “Record” to Trigger an Xbox or PlayStation recording while in Theater Mode.
Note: Theatre Mode is unavailable on previous-generation consoles (PlayStation® 4 and Xbox One), and all Theater
Private Matches: If you’re wanting to bring friends over for a game on any of the launch Maps and Modes, with comprehensive menus allowing you to adjust every aspect of the Mode’s gameplay, select Private Matches. This is also an excellent method of observing and exploring any maps you need a closer inspection of.
Black Ops 6 Maps Available at Launch:
Recap: All the Black Ops 6 launch maps are small to medium-sized, with traditional three-lane routes and have been meticulously designed to fully realize the signature Call of Duty®: Black Ops experience. This means offering rapid, energetic combat, along with a variety of scenic set-pieces, cover opportunities, and ranged thoroughfares to ensure your favorite style of play is catered to, from close quarter strikes to long-range sniping, with emphasis always on the action. This culminates into tighter gameplay that’s perfectly suited to Omnimovement.
Maps are split into two main categories: There are 12 brand-new Core 6v6 maps. In addition, there are four brand-new, compact-sized Strike maps designed to be played in either Face Off 6v6 or 2v2 configurations. Below is a showcase of all the maps along with final Tac-Maps.
Core Maps (6v6)
Babylon (Core 6v6)
Battle amongst the ruins of an ancient city, climbing on its crumbled columns and crawling underneath the ancient ruins. There’s plenty of verticality to make use of here, so stay limber as you circle the central altar and seek out the best ground. Back out to the chapel or depot for more concealed views or get heated and rush the middle.
Derelict (Core 6v6)
Deep in the Appalachian Mountains, a train graveyard lies shrouded by a lush forest. Abandoned and forgotten, this derelict depot along the NAR Appalachian Railroad has become a prime ambush point for Rogue Black Ops and Crimson One to face off in a deadly skirmish.
Lowtown (Core 6v6)
Traverse a dockside neighborhood with a boat house, fishing shed, cobbler, and a gallery showcasing classic and contemporary art. Check out the stalls in the market or climb up the latticework for a view from the pizzeria. Swim in the canal — or if desperate, the sewer — to reposition and flank the enemy.
Payback (Core 6v6)
Deep in the Bulgarian mountains, the Rogue Black Ops Safehouse is under attack. Breach this cliffside mansion getaway, explore various oak paneled chambers and the operations room in the main residence. Payback is equipped with various elevations, windows, and many strategic angles throughout the mansion.
Protocol (Core 6v6)
Located off the shore, the Protocol Training Course doubles as a teaching ground and an island citadel fortified for war. The brick buildings include barracks, an armory, and an underground communications monitoring center, and the aged architecture built into this rocky outcrop provides a playground for Rogue Black Ops and Crimson one to go to their own skirmishes with each other.
Red Card (Core 6v6)
Compete from the main entrance of this stadium to the stands of an international soccer pitch. Race through the lobby and view the memorabilia upstairs near the best seats in the house. Outside, explore the promenade and fan festival stands, or swing back into the lobby or parking garage.
Rewind (Core 6v6)
Visit the Liberty Shopping Plaza right on the edge of Liberty Falls, West Virginia and wreak havoc through the strip mall. This 6v6 map has a unique layout, as two outer lanes are connected by multiple routes through and around the shops, a video store in the middle housing several major objectives.
Scud (Core 6v6)
Deploy to a desert military outpost following a devastating attack. The damaged radar dish and nearby buildings have taken several hits, the air thick with smoke from the surrounding fires. Bunker down in the depot or HQ or flank enemies in the trenches. Watch for snipers near the radar dish; its base provides a near 360-degree view.
Skyline (Core 6v6)
Take in breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside from the rooftop of a luxury resort featuring an exquisite penthouse with access to a lounge, kitchen, gym, and pool. Descend into the panic room to cross under the map or fight in the open around the victims of a recent hit job.
Subsonic (Core 6v6)
Fight in and around a small bomber team training facility. While one aircraft sits safely in the central hangar, another lies in flames by the runway next to a crater and an overturned truck. Follow the line of destruction down the perimeter or move inside to avoid threats from overhead.
Vault (Core 6v6)
No expense has been spared on this large, lush desert set within a rugged desert landscape. Monuments, murals, sculptures, and a trophy room adorn the central palace, featuring an opulent atrium and, more importantly, open access to the vault. Combat around this compound is expected to be fierce.
Vorkuta (Core 6v6)
A large storm is inbound and about to hit the Vorkuta mining facility that was once a Soviet labor camp. Both teams visit a place of Mason’s history to battle over key tactical positions. Covered with old machinery and exterior/interior transitions, both teams must stay on their toes if they wish to become victorious.
Strike Maps (2v2/6v6)
Gala (Strike Map 2v2/6v6)
Explore the aftermath of an annual fundraising event in Washington, D.C. Get up on stage or kick back in the lounge. Along the sides, move through a makeshift bar, coatroom, and campaign stand. Every move counts on this tiny map, so get out there and punch the winning ticket.
Pit (Strike Map 2v2/6v6)
Burrow into a small subsection of an underground mining tunnel and collide in the central cave. A ventilation shaft casts some natural light over the cave, the mine tracks within circling back to the narrow tunnels. Climb up the ladders to reach an overhead vantage point or weave between the mine carts for ground floor cover.
Stakeout (Strike Map 2v2/6v6)
A stakeout in the Mediterranean region of Avalon has been compromised as Operators breach the small apartment, battling through the living room, kitchen, bedrooms, and spilling out onto the balcony. Leftover surveillance equipment marks the progress of the conducted intel-gathering, a smashed-out wall giving the former agents easy access to their gear.
Warhead (Strike Map 2v2/6v6)
Black Ops 6 Operators and Factions
There are over 20 Black Ops 6 Operators to choose from at launch, with 11 allied to the Rogue Black Ops Faction, and 10 allied to Crimson One.
Factions Overview
Operators are chosen from one of two main Factions, with some affiliations to other groups within these conclaves (for example, Grigori Weaver is “Ex-Requiem”). The overarching goals of each faction is as follows:
Rogue Black Ops
On the run and hunted by their former employers – the Rogue Black Ops team seek to uncover the truth of the infiltration of the CIA and expose the conspiracy for what it is. All while staying alive and clearing their names.
Without the financial or technological backing of the US, Woods and his squad find themselves having to strike uneasy alliances with the criminal underground, as well as with old enemies, to equip themselves.
As they no longer have state backing, much of their equipment is either improvised, supplied by friends/contacts from other intelligence services, purchased from criminals, or supplied on the promise of future favors owed. They know who’s hunting them and refer to them by the name Crimson One.
Crimson One
Crimson One represents the CIA operation initiated to hunt down the Rogue squad. The team is officially sanctioned by the CIA and has access to all intel and tools to get the job done.
It is made up of elite Black Ops soldiers to get the job done and led by the imposing Jackson Caine.
With the CIA infiltrated, Crimson One represents the CIA operation initiated to hunt down and silence Adler, Woods, and their team, permanently.
Operator Overview and Unlocks
Some of the Operators can be chosen immediately, while others are unlocked via an in-game challenge or Vault Edition purchase. Here are all the details.
As expected, Sony has launched the PlayStation Store Halloween Sale 2024! This one includes a lot of horror and semi-horror games at discounted prices. Check out the full list and our recommendations below.
PlayStation Store Halloween Sale 2024 Games List – Ends 11/1
Note: We have enabled a collapsible table for the games given the huge list. To see the games in each list, click on the black arrow and/or the letters (A – E, F – J, K – O, P – T, U – Z).
The Outlast Trials (-33%, $26.79) – A more multiplayer-focused take on the Outlast horror franchise. Still getting a ton of support with more on the way.
Resident Evil 4 (-50%, $19.99) – Better than the original in every way. Capcom added new side missions, new story stuff. Insta-buy if you haven’t played it yet and want something fun.
Fallout 4 (-67%, $6.59) – In case you haven’t played it yet, got a PS5 native patch that made performance better. Last mainline Fallout game released.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim + Fallout 4 GOTY Bundle (-67%, $26.39) – If you haven’t played both and was curious about two of Bethesda’s biggest IPs, now’s your chance. Both games have native PS5 versions available as well. Literally dozens or hundreds of hours of playtime, and less bugs than before too.
Sea of Thieves (-35%, $25.99) – Rare’s pirate game on PS5! Supposed to have a very healthy player base and getting consistent support.
Ark Survival Ascended (-33%, $33.14) – Getting loads of support. Ark 2 supposedly due next year if I’m not mistaken. Has a healthy player base, and now exclusive to current-gen platforms and PC.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 Deluxe (-38%, $48.59) – Capcom’s latest hit. This one is a little bit more expensive given the extra content included in the Deluxe. If you can hold off, the base game was on sale a few weeks ago at a lower price.
Dead Island 2 (-30%, $34.99) – Still getting support. One of the few Embracer-released games that didn’t flop. If you need another zombie killing simulator, then this might do the trick. Expansion Pass and the latest DLC also on sale.
V Rising (-25%, $29.99) – Not a Diablo clone. Deeper than it looks. Might take some time getting used to. Devs promised more support incoming.
Lies of P (-40%, $35.99) – Friends swear by this Souls-like. Said to be very, very good. DLC incoming next year.
DayZ (-50%, $27.49) – Just got its big Frostline DLC yesterday. Getting a lot of support after all these years. One of the first survival games and still has a solid player base.
Dying Light 2 (-60%, $23.99) – Still getting support. Recently added firearms to the game, and Techland regularly adding new features, etc.
Fallout 76 (-75%, $9.99) – Fallout live service. Still getting a ton of support and recently got a big title update. Not sure how janky compared to wen it launched though.
Resident Evil Village (-60%, $15.99) – Excellent mini story arc for the Winters’ family in RE7 and this one. Expansion on sale as well.
Armored Core 6 (-40%, $35.99) – Rarely goes on sale. FromSoftware’s mech game. Not a Souls-like, but a solid mecha game that lets you pick and play the way you want (for the most part).
Hades (-60%. $9.99) – One of the best indie games I’ve played. Loads of hours to sink into to master the different weapons, etc. Underrated story and the voice acting is excellent. Hades 2 incoming to PS next year, so best get ready with this one.
Dead Space (-65%, $27.99) – Free on PS+ this month. But if you don’t care about that, this is very much worth the price. Better than the original in every way, has good length as well.
The Quarry (-85%, $8.99) – Might not be Supermassive’s finest work, but if you liked Until Dawn and wanted more of the same, then this might scratch that itch for more interactive horror.
Resident Evil 3 (-75%, $9.99) – The weakest of all the REmakes. Super short and can be finished in 4-6 hours. Not bad in terms of gameplay, but lacks depth compared to the rest.
Cult of the Lamb (-50%, $12.49) – Lets you build your own cult! Perfect for Halloween.
The Devil in Me (-63%, $14.79) – Part of The Dark Pictures Anthology. This is more interactive movie than a game, but there are choices that affect the story. If you dig the rest of Supermassive’s games, then this is worth a look.
Resident Evil 7 (-60%, $7.99) – Kicks off Ethan Winters’ tale in the RE universe. Creepy as all hell. No zombies but the Hills Have Eyes thing is super freaky in a differerent way. DLCs are on sale as well.
Resident Evil 2 (-75%, $9.99) – My fave RE remake. Story is a bit better, encounters changed, and graphics given a huge facelift. With Claire and Leon’s stories, you can easily clock in more than 20 hours with this bad boy.
RoboCop Rogue City Alex Murphy Edition (-50%, $34.99) – Only thing holding me back here is the base version goes on sale and might be cheaper? But a solid movie-licensed game. Not shovelware and underrated to a point.
DOOM Eternal (-75%, $9.99) – First-person gore! DOOM gameplay at its finest. If you aren’t squeamish and like getting rid of hell spawns, then this should tickle your fancy.
Hunt Showdown 1896 (-25%, $22.49) – Just got its Halloween patch drop today. Looks better now with the major transition. Regularly gets updates.
Little Nightmares I & II Bundle (-70%, $14.99) – One of the best deals in this sale. Both games are excellent horror platformers though not too scary. Perfect game to play with your kids or SO. Story a lot deeper than what’s presented and YouTube has lots of vids talking about its lore. LN3 out next year but by Supermassive.
BioShock The Collection (-80%, $9.99) – If the first game’s ending hasn’t been ruined for you. then please give this a go. Amazing single-player FPS experiences.
Vampire Survivors (-20%, $3.99) – Indie hit that lets you play with just one analog stick. Deeper than it looks, gets loads of support. Give this a try for those who want something different and at a budget.
Skyrim (-75%, $9.99) – If you haven’t played the RPG, then this is the cheapest it’s going to get. Still getting updates from time to time surprisingly.
Dead by Daylight DLC – Loads are discounted, and with the Haunted by Daylight event starting tomorrow, might be a good time to get those and jump in.
Alone in the Dark (-30%, $48.99) – Lowest it’s been on PSN, this is Embracer’s take on the classic franchise. Not bad. Don’t think it’s worth full price, but at this discounted rate? Worth a shot. Just don’t expect snappy combat.
Alien Isolation (-75%, $7.49) – I have this on PSN and Steam. Aliens franchise horror but no guns. Sequel announced recently too.
Dredge (-40%, $14.99) – Horror fishing game? You betcha! Still getting support. YouTube it and it might surprise you.
Payday 3 (-60%, $27.99) – Still getting lots of updates and DLC. Had a super rocky launch, but could be worth it now. DLCs are on sale too if you’re interested.
Deathloop (-80%, $11.99) – One of Arkane’s best works. Has a time travel element that won’t make your eyes roll.
Deathloop + Ghostwire Tokyo (-67%, $32.99) – Ghostwire has that Japanese feel, so best to check if this is your cup of tea or not.
Crime Boss: Rockay City (-30%, $13.99) – Honestly do not know if worth it. Still getting updates to this day. Might be something to play to tide you over until GTA6.
Bloodstained Ritual of the Night (-70%, $11.99) – Made by former Castlevania devs and it shows. Plays like Symphony of the Night. Support just ended this year. Amazing game and has loads of secrets.
The Callisto Protocol (-75%, $22.49) – Sci-fi horror. Not as good as Dead Space but at that price, worth a trek. Not long either, so you can finish it in one weekend most likely.
Fatal Frame Maiden of Black Water (-30%, $27.99) – Haven’t played this, but if its the same as past FF’s then it’s horror with your camera as a weapon. For some reason I find this franchise creepier than other horror games. First time I’ve seen discounted as well.
Ghostbusters Spirits Unleashed (-50%, $9.99) – Still getting support from time to time. Multiplayer game featuring Ghostbusters.
The Evil Within (-40%, $11.99) – From Shinji Mikami. Way harder than Resident Evil so bear that in mind. Creepy as hell though.
Pentiment (-40%, $11.99). – One of the MS games brought over to PS. Text heavy so YT before considering whether you want to buy it or not.
Dishonored 2 (-80%, $5.99) – Arkane’s sequel to hit action game. No native PS5 version.
Prey (-75%, $9.99) – One of Arkane’s best works, Solid FPS.
Hellblade Senua’s Sacrifice (-70%, $8.99) – Ninja Theory’s first game in the franchise before being bought out by MS. Rarely goes on sale. Solid game.
Control (-80%, $5.99) – Remedy’s most action-y game (outside of Max Payne). Super low price, and expansions are on sale too. Definitely worth a go.
Little Hope (-50%,$9.99) – Another The Dark Pictures title from Supermassive. I dig these types of games, hence why I include ’em.
Daymare 1994 Sandcastle (-40%, $20.99) – Have not played this. Said to be Temu Resident Evil. Don’t expect a polished experience but if you want some third-person horror action…
Bloodrayne Revampled (-40%, $11.99) – Have not played this but did play the original. Not sure how well made this remaster is.
Ghostrick Phantom Detective (-50%, $14.99) — Puzzle adventure game with a supernatural flavor.
Slender The Arrival (-55%, $8.99) – Have not played this, but heard about it. For those that did, is it worth it at that price?
Wild Bastards (-30%, $24.49) – This was just released recently. Reviewed fairly well from what I remember.

It looks like Halo fans were closer to getting a battle royale mode than expected. A former developer who worked on the project has confirmed that it was real and claimed that this mode could have been a “game changer” for the Halo series. Sadly, the project was canceled before it could be released.
This news comes from the LinkedIn profile of Mike Clopper, a former Game Director at Certain Affinity, the studio that had worked on the now-canceled battle royale mode. Clopper said:
I led a large team of designers working on a canceled Battle Royale mode for Halo. I believe this product could have been a game changer for the franchise. We loved playing it and working on it was a fantastic experience in spite of its cancelation.
Rumors have been circulating for a while about a Halo battle royale mode, reportedly codenamed “Tatanka.” However, official details about this mode were never really revealed. There’s no information on why it was canceled or what the developers had planned. As the battle royale genre grew in popularity with games like Fortnite, Apex Legends, and Call of Duty: Warzone, it’s interesting to think about how Halo might have handled this type of genre.
Right now, it’s hard to say what’s next for Halo and where things are heading for the franchise. 343 Industries, now rebranded as Halo Studios, is reportedly working on several new projects powered by Unreal Engine 5. None of these projects have been officially revealed yet, but as we get more information, we’ll be sure to keep you updated here at MP1st.

What’s that? An update for Prince of Persia the Lost Crown?
Which means the Warrior Within and 2008 outfit is officially unlocked for all of you?! 🔥 I know what outfit I am putting Sargon in pronto. pic.twitter.com/nwtQF1fre4
Does this mean we can expect The Warrior Within skin sometime soon? I wouldn’t bet against that.
If you haven’t played the game yet, you might want to change that. Our review gave it an Editor’s Choice award and mention, “Taking Prince of Persia and mixing it with the Metroidvania genre was a brilliant move, as the gameplay and abilities from the series mesh very well with this style, and it makes me hope this is only the beginning of this franchise’s foray into this new direction and is not just a one-off experience.”

It should come as no surprise, considering the number of players using him, but Gogeta(GT) Super Saiyan 4 makes most of these top 10 lists, with his overall being the highest-ranked, as well as having some of the highest when it comes to any attack stats. Even before this list was compiled, many had assumed he was an S-tier character, and this list only further reinforces that.
Elsewhere, to the surprise of no one, Mr. Satan (otherwise known as Hercule Satan) ranks as the worst character in terms of overall stats. Still, despite essentially being a joke character in both the show and games, he’s still pretty fun to use, as are most characters in Sparking Zero.
What do you think of these ranking lists? Were they pretty much what you were expecting, or were you surprised to see some of these characters on them? Let us know!
If you’re still on the fence about the game, head on over here for our review and why we think Sparking Zero was worth the wait.

While you’re waiting for the notes, read on here for our review where we state, “While Madden 25 has what could be a great game at its foundation with the realistic gameplay and presentation, its serious flaws continue to hold the series back as in recent years.”
EA has pushed out Madden 25 update 1.07 on last-gen consoles (PS4, Xbox One), and this is for Season 3! While the patch might be out, players won’t be able to hit touchdowns just yet, as the servers are down for maintenance to implement the patch.
For those that can’t login or sees their data missing, it’s due to maintenance and is nothing to worry about (at least for now).

Following yesterday’s patch and downtime for Destiny 2, Bungie is conducting emergency maintenance for the game today! If you’re seeing Destiny 2 down this October 16, this is why, and this is to investigate the increasing amount of Bat and Weasel errors showing up for players.
Destiny 2 Down This October 16 for Emergency Maintenance
The announcement was made just now, with no schedule on how long the servers will be out:
DESTINY 2 MAINTENANCE
Destiny 2 is being brought offline for emergency maintenance as we investigate an increase in BAT and WEASEL errors. An update will be provided within 1 hour. https://t.co/s8IO2hgHMx
We will monitor the situation as it develops, and if once Bungie releases an update, we’ll add it to the article. In addition to the server downtime, Bungie is also actively working on a patch. While there’s no word if we are getting one today, we’ve listed the Destiny 2 known issues . Note that this is not the complete list but a target list of issues for the game.
Destiny 2 Down Known Issues:
Changing the platform setting “Others can communicate w/ voice, text, or invites” does not take effect until the game has been restarted.
Players running Destiny with an integrated graphics card may encounter gameplay performance issues if the integrated graphics card does not meet the minimum required PC specs.
Laptops with Intel 12th generation Iris integrated graphics may crash in high-demand environments. Players can mitigate these crashes by ensuring Windows 10 is set to use only discrete graphics when running Destiny 2 via Windows->Settings->Graphics Settings, and selecting “High Performance” for Destiny 2.
Season Passes will be applied to the first account that signs in. If you plan to Cross Save but will use another character set, it’s recommended to set up Cross Save before logging in. For more information, click here.
To access Iron Banner, players must reach Guardian Rank 4, complete the Crucible introductory quest, then speak to Lord Saladin and complete the Iron Banner introductory quest.
Epic Games Store players receiving “Time Skew Maxed” and RUTABEGA errors may need to update their launcher. If this doesn’t help, players may have to press the Escape Key repeatedly after selecting a character to skip the opening cinematic.
Players progressing through The Final Shape campaign in a fireteam should avoid joining missions in-progress or swapping characters during the campaign to ensure progress is correctly recorded.
Players may experience a crash when attempting to reshape a weapon that is no longer present in their inventory. This can be resolved by beginning a craft of a new weapon then backing out.
The Micah-10 quest “The Veiled” cannot be completed unless players have completed the first mission of the Beyond Light campaign. This mission is available for all players to complete.
Once we get an update from Bungie, we’ll let our readers know.
Larian Studios is back with another update for Baldur’s Gate 3! Called Hotfix 28, players can expect crash and block fixes and a slew of modding changes as well. Those on consoles, this will appear as Baldur’s Gate 3 update 1.,007.300 and has the same patch notes as the PC version.
Those on PS5, rejoice! This brings fixes to the DualSense issues that made the lightbar act like a disco light and all.
What’s New in Baldur’s Gate 3 Hotfix 28 This October 16?
Another small hotfix for all platforms is coming your way today! Hotfix #28 addresses a few crashes and blockers, integrates a handful of gameplay bug fixes, and resolves some issues with the Mod Manager.
This hotfix also fixes an issue with multiplayer, where some players were getting caught in an enable–disable loop in the Mod Verification Window when trying to disable a mod that the host doesn’t have.
MODDING
On PS5, the ‘Continue’ button will now work the same as the ‘Load Game’ screen in that it won’t allow you to start a game if there are any mod issues.
On console, when loading a savegame that has unresolved mod issues, the Mod Verification Window will no longer keep asking you to re-download or uninstall mods when the action has already been taken.
Resolved an issue with mod dependencies not being loaded in the correct order after enabling/disabling some mods.
Mod Manager
Fixed the animated downloading bar not appearing in the Mod Verification Window after you click ‘Download’.

Fixed a bug preventing you from opening the Mod Manager on PC when using a controller.
Fixed the button prompts in the Mod Details page not updating correctly when using a controller.
Fixed the filter tags in the Mod Manager not appearing in localised languages and made sure that the English string is shown as a backup in case there’s an issue with fetching the translation.
The mod browser scrollbar now resets to the top when you navigate to a previous or next page
On PS5, the Mod Manager now correctly reports the amount of remaining memory after uninstalling a mod.
Fixed a crash that could occur when changing pages in the Mod Manager.
Fixed clients on a multiplayer game getting caught in an enable–disable loop in the Mod Verification Window when trying to disable a mod that the host doesn’t have.

Updated the name of the Mod Issues window to ‘Mod Verification Window’ to more accurately reflect what the window is for, and updated its description.
GAME
Gameplay
Improved loading times for players with many mods installed.
You can no longer add items to your wares even if they cannot become wares (e.g. pact weapons) by selecting them along with another item that can become a ware. This prevents a trade exploit where you could sell your wares and the bound items would not leave your inventory. Any more of these up your sleeves?
Fixed Honour Mode features, like Legendary Actions, carrying over to non-Honour-Mode games if you’d previously loaded an Honour Mode save.
On PS5, fixed the DualSense lightbar updating colours every single frame of the game when a new user logs in with a new controller.
Resolved an issue with Wyll opting for negative greeting nodes even when he does like you.
Fixed the character models becoming offset in the Trade UI when switching between trade and barter when using a controller.
Crashes and Blockers
Fixed a crash when trying to load into a playthrough rather than a particular savegame within that playthrough.
Fixed a crash that could occur when loading a savegame.
On PS5, fixed a potential crash when going full disco on the DualSense lightbar.
If you haven’t updated the game in a while, the huge Patch 7 content drop brought in Evil Endings and a lot more.
In a surprising move, Microsoft has pulled the $1 trial option for Xbox Game Pass just days before the highly anticipated release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. This decision comes at a crucial time, as many gamers had hoped to use the affordable trial to access the game through Game Pass on launch day.
Microsoft has quietly removed the $1, 14-day Game Pass trial, a popular option for new subscribers looking to try the service at a low cost. This removal comes just over a week before Black Ops 6 is set to release, a game available at launch for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. Without the trial, players now must pay full price for a Game Pass subscription to access the game on its release day.
Xbox removes $1 Game Pass trial ahead of Black Ops 6 launch.
This move comes after other changes from Microsoft that upset fans. Back in July, Xbox raised the prices for Game Pass across all tiers and made first-party games like Black Ops 6 available on day one only for Game Pass Ultimate members. This went against what Microsoft had promised earlier—that all first-party games would be available to everyone on day one, which left many in the Xbox community frustrated.
Without the $1 trial, gamers looking to play Black Ops 6 have fewer options. Since Game Pass Ultimate costs $20 a month, it’s better to buy the game for $70 if Black Ops 6 is the main game you want to play. Unless you plan to use other games on Game Pass, like MLB The Show 24 or Dead Island 2, paying for a monthly subscription might not be worth it.
Despite the changes, Xbox Game Pass remains one of the best deals in gaming, offering a vast library of games on consoles, PCs, and mobile devices. With major releases like Black Ops 6 available at launch for Ultimate members, it continues to be a go-to option for many gamers. However, removing the $1 trial makes it tougher for budget-conscious players to access these benefits without paying full price.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be available on October 25 for the PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

GENERAL UPDATES
Gunplay
Changed the behavior of Throwing Tools to require aim while throwing them.
Reduced the level of zoom on Deadeye weapons.
Reduced ballistic performance of silenced versions of the Vetterli, Frontier, and Nagant.
Scope Updates
A new drop helper has been added to help gauge your distance to your target. This new helper consists of a thicker vertical line below the center of the crosshair—when a full Hunter from head-to-toe fits in-between the two, you are exactly at the Drop Range distance of that weapon. With this information, you can:
Quickly determine if you actually need to adjust your aim to account for drop or not.
Use the scale of a Hunter to determine how much to account for drop.
Melee Weapons & Tools
Made changes to the Throwing Spear’s balancing:
Base throw damage has been reduced to 200.
Throw damage to the leg has been reduced to 110.
Melee Damage has been reduced:
Light attack: 70
Heavy attack: 147
Damage dealt pulling the Throwing Spear from a target has been reduced.
Light melee attack speed has been reduced.
Velocity has been reduced to 40m/s.
You can no longer sprint while charging or aiming the spear unless you have the Surefoot Trait.
Rebalanced equipped melee weapons, improving damage and Stamina consumption on all weapons apart from the Katana.
Increased Stamina consumption on the Katana.
Increased damage, throw rate, and throw accuracy for Throwing Knives.
Gameplay
Changed the Bulwark Trait to no longer save the player from a Bomb Lance explosion
Allowed Beetle spawns to appear in Soul Survivor
Restoration now also refills Dark Sight Boost when the player has a Bounty Token
Rebalanced projectile penetration and fixed a bug in the system that didn’t reduce damage correctly after the first successful wall penetration
Developer’s Note:
With this bug fix, the balancing for how projectiles lose damage when penetrating walls has been adjusted slightly. Overall, the penetration multipliers have been normalized and slightly simplified. Nothing changed on the general rule of Compact Ammo being the weakest to penetrate, and Long Ammo the strongest.
Compact bullets received some slight improvements to ensure they work similarly as before. Medium bullets retain their damage slightly better through the first layer of penetration as well, but lose more damage in further penetrations. Long bullets have seen some adjustments to their multipliers overall. FMJ bullets in general retain their damage better with the first penetration, but are weaker with successive penetrations.
Meta
Bounty Token Value Normalization
Updated the value of all Bounty Tokens to 125, regardless of region or Contract
Developer’s Note
: We had two goals with this change: first, making it clearer how much a Bounty Token is worth, and second, making small region Targets more appealing to engage with. This change results in a net increase of Bounty available across all Contracts and should shake up your decision-making process in deciding which Target to go for.
Reduced the number of random Weapon Family unlocks from Blueprints from 3 to 1
Developer’s Note:
With the removal of Custom Ammo from our unlockable Weapon Families, we drastically reduced the overall number of unlocks and XP required to unlock all items. With this in mind, we’re reducing the number of unlocks from Blueprints, initially increased to ensure that slightly higher thresholds for the individual unlocks introduced in Update 1.15 wouldn’t be too challenging or time-consuming to overcome. Blueprints still grant a single, random item unlock, as opposed to a specific unlock for your carried weapon from Gun Oil.
Moved Fire and Choke Beetle unlocks to Bloodline Rank 27
Moved the Dauntless Trait unlock to Bloodline Rank 1
Replaced vacant rank rewards with Hunt Dollars
Trait Changes
Conduit:
Added Solo Conditional Effect: Investigating one Clue gives the same map progress of investigating two Clues.
Pain Sense (Formerly Poison Sense):
Poison Sense has undergone a rework and has been renamed Pain Sense. The Trait now highlights Hunters who are bleeding, burning, or poisoned in Dark Sight.
Cost increased from 1 Upgrade Point to 3 Upgrade Points.
Lightfoot:
Added Solo Conditional Effect: Players make reduced noise when crouched. This Conditional Effect has been moved from Surefoot to Lightfoot.
Berserker:
Has now become a Scarce Trait.
Bulwark:
Will no longer protect you from a Bomb Lance explosion when stuck.
Rarity Updates
Developer’s Note: We acknowledge that upon launch of Hunt: Showdown 1896, the Rarity of some content felt inconsistent, or did not resonate with our players. As such, we have decided to update the Rarity of some content to better conform with our design philosophy and our players’ expectations.
Scorched Earth (Battle Pass)
Updated the Rarity of Shrewd Savior (Krag) from Rare to Legendary.
Updated the Rarity of Thunderstroke (Rival 78) from Epic to Legendary.
Updated the Rarity of Salted Earth (Dynamite Bundle) from Rare to Legendary.
Updated the Rarity of Forest Sting (Scottfield Precision) from Epic to Legendary.
Updated the Rarity of Gilded Maul (Railroad Hammer) from Rare to Epic.
Updated the Rarity of Gold Reliable (Derringer Pennyshot) from Rare to Epic.
Developer’s Note: The Scorched Earth Battle Pass saw some almost identical content with widely ranging Rarities. We have decided to retroactively update and upgrade these.
Double or Nothing (DLC)
Updated the Rarity of Hyde (Pax) from Uncommon to Rare.
Developer’s Note: We acknowledge that the Hyde (Pax) Skin that is part of the Double of Nothing DLC originally had its Rarity set up incorrectly. The Hyde is part of a matching set with the Jekyll (Pax) of the same DLC. We intend for the level of detail and complexity to be the same for both Skins. As such, we have decided to update the Rarity of Hyde (Pax) accordingly.
Dark Tribute
Updated the Rarity of Bad Hand from Mythic to Legendary.
Updated the Rarity of Union Suit: Red Drawers from Mythic to Legendary.
Updated the Rarity of Union Suit: Sunday Best from Mythic to Legendary.
Developer’s Note : We acknowledge that the Mythic Rarity does not fit the Dark Tribute Hunters Bad Hand and Union Suit, as they have been (and are subject to be) re-run as rewards via other in-game mechanics and frameworks (e.g., Twitch Drops). As such, we are updating their Rarity accordingly.
