Fortnite New Update 1.000.053 Released for v31.41 This October 25

Epic Games has released v31.41 for Fortnite today and this is update 1.000.053 on consoles. This update is expected to be the last addition for Chapter 5 of the game. Read on below for more details.

What Changed in Fortnite New Update 1.000.053:

No patch notes have been released just yet, but the known issues have been highlighted from the game’s Trello Board.

GENERAL TOP ISSUES:

In-Development

  • Nintendo Switch players encountering storage space issues
  • Videos in the Lobby playing with every launch on Amazon Luna.
  • Players cannot close the emote wheel without selecting an emote
  • Built-In Emotes do not play in Creative / UEFN Experiences.
  • Splitscreen Issue when player 2 logs out.
  • Jam Emotes may not function properly in Team Rumble and might not work in Battle Royale after a Team Rumble match.
  • Jam Tracks do not adjust volume with Music Volume setting.

Fortnite Update 4.42 Released This October 25

Epic Games has released Fortnite update 4.42 for update version 31.41 today. It’s expected a lot of new content will be released and new skins are becoming available too. Read on for more details.

Fortnite Servers Taken Down and Offline This October 25 to Bring Patch v31.41

Epic Games is set to roll out v31.41 for Fortnite today, and same as with any major update, the game’s servers have been taken down and is now offline temporarily on all platforms.

Is Fortnite Down This October 25?

Fortnite’s downtime starts at 4 am ET/1 am PT/4 pm HKT. While there’s no mention of how long it’ll take, past maintenance outages tend to take around 2-3 hours.

No word yet on what got changed, though Epic did announce the following tournament schedule changes:

  • R1 and R2 of the Trios Cash Cup will take place on Saturday, October 26.
  • Reload Platform Cups will take place on Tuesday, October 29.

There’s also word that a live event is set to commence with today’s patch as well:

Throne and Liberty Update 14.100.647 Summons Patch 1.4.0 for Haunted Harvest

Online RPG Throne and Liberty is joining the Halloween fun with today’s patch as it brings the Haunted Harvest event into the game. Players can now download Throne and Liberty update 14.100.647 that also brings shop updates, and even console-specific changes.

Gameplay

  • Increased the PvP area for the following Conflict Field Boss events:

    • Morokai, Chernobog, Talus, Grand Aelon, and Adentus

  • Increased the timer for Conflict Boss reward drops. Rewards stay bound to the original owner for 10 minutes and become available for everyone afterwards for 1 minute.

  • Crystal drops from Co-Op Dungeon Bosses and Elite monsters are no longer distributed to party members based on contribution and instead have an equal chance to be acquired by all party members.

  • Added new profile frame feature. This can be set in the Mirror Boutique > Profile Settings.

  • Sundries Crafters now offer Weapon Chests and Armor Chests. These items were originally craftable from the Weapon Crafters and Armor Crafters.

  • After claiming rewards from an Amitoi expedition, the previous roster will be selected for the next expedition.

  • The following previously restrictive cooking ingredients are now more widely available from additional sources. They’ve also been renamed to be more inclusive of where they come from:

    • Terror Bird Meat to Bird Meat

    • Desert Wild Game to Bland Meat

    • Forest Wolf Meat to Thick Meat

    • Black Pig Pork to Chewy Meat

Dungeons

  • Completing a dungeon through the Random matchmaking option will now provide special rewards when claiming the final boss chest:

    • 1-Star Dimensional Soul Shard Selection Chest

    • You’ll also have a chance to receive 1x Dimensional Essence: Salvation.

Chat

  • Added a Chat Window icon where players can add another chat window.

    • You can create more than one chat window at a time to view multiple tabs at once.

    • You can resize each chat window by dragging the edges with your mouse.

    • The extra windows can also be repositioned and locked in place.

  • Added a chat lock button.

UI

  • The following now display acquisition information in their tooltips:

    • Amitoi

    • Guardians

    • Morphs

  • Selecting Usage on cooking ingredients will now display Cooking recipes that contain it.

  • Added a visual indicator for skills that can be charged on your combat bar. When the shortcut key/button is held, the associated skill icon will fill up.

  • Improved UI locations during character customization so that UI elements don’t block the view of the character.

  • Removed the unnecessary third reward line from the Cooperative Dynamic Event reward UI.

Notable Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the onboarding control buttons were always visible.

  • Fixed an issue where the Adventure Codex final rewards were not displayed.

  • Fixed an issue on controllers where L-Stick would move the character while the focus was on the Content Notification.

  • Fixed an issue where the Friends list would disappear temporarily.

  • Fixed an issue where View Codex Knowledge could display incorrect information.

  • Fixed an issue that caused Kowazan and Ahzreil Riftstone encounters to reward more loot than intended.

  • Fixed a rare issue that caused a crash when rendering certain particle effects.

  • Fixed an issue where players in Japan could see an incorrect expiring Lucent amount and remaining expiration time.

  • Fixed an issue where user privacy settings in game could be out of sync from AG ID website settings, causing user changes to fail or have the game not respect AG ID account settings.

  • Fixed an issue that caused Parties to unexpectedly disband during content.

Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 (Console Only)

  • Improved the behavior of the retry button inside Taedal’s Tower. Holding down Y now opens the retry window and pressing Y again will Retry.

  • Improved the gamepad UX inside the following:

    • Leveling Log

    • Auction House

    • Character Customization

    • Ring Menus

    • Guild Search

    • Rankings

    • Secret Dungeon

  • Added the lock-on toggle on/off option in the Settings.

  • The Option button can toggle show/hide the tooltips.

Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising Update 1.61 Out for New Character DLC Vikala

Cygames has released Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising update 1.61 (PS5 version 1.610), which adds support for the new character DLC, as well as some additonal changes.

Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising Update 1.61 Patch Notes

  • Vikala has been added as a playable character.
  • Vikala has been added as a Premium Avatar.
  • A music track, weapon skins, badges, titles, card design, sticker, weapon cutout, and Figure Studio poses and expressions for Vikala have been added.
    • Vikala must be unlocked as a playable character to access these features (except stickers).
  • Vikala has been added to the Rupie Shop under Special Content.
  • Purchases made via the Special Content tab do not come with a bonus serial code.
  • A new illustration, Versusia (Extra Ver.), has been added to the Rupie Shop under Character Illustrations.
  • (PS5/PS4 only) Vikala Purchase Bonus added to the Serial Codes screen in the Options menu. .

Arcade Mode

  • DLC characters you have not unlocked will now show up as opponents during Arcade Mode.

Training Mode

  • Added a Brave Counter setting under training dummy actions.

This setting allows you to toggle whether the training dummy performs a Brave Counter after blocking an attack.

  • Frame Advantage Color has been added as its own display option, allowing frame information and advantage color to be toggled separately.

This option indicates which character has frame advantage after performing an action by changing their colors.

  • The option to display elapsed frames for each input when displaying the input log has been added.

This same information can also be displayed when viewing replays.

  • The following options have been added under Counter-Attack Setting in the Opponent Settings section:
    • Counter-attack settings for multiple situations can now be changed simultaneously.
    • A delay feature has been added to counter-attack settings.

The training dummy’s counter-attack will activate after the set number of frames have elapsed.

  • Counter-attacks can now be recorded under the Dummy Action Recording Settings menu.
  • The quick menu will now display character-specific settings only for the characters currently in use.

Ranked Matches

・Point distribution has been adjusted as follows:

 

    • The amount of points lost when losing a match at ranks S+ and below has been reduced (from -1 to -0.5).

When losing at S++ rank, point loss will remain -1.

 

  • Losing to a player of a higher letter rank will no longer cause a loss of points.
  • Points earned when winning against a Master or higher ranked player when at rank S++ has been increased (from 1 to 2).

 

・Timer after matching up with an opponent in Ranked or Casual matches has been reduced from 30 to 20 seconds.

Additionally, we have planned several updates related to the Ranked Match features moving forward. In the upcoming Version 2.00 patch, we plan to increase the character level cap as well as introduce new rewards for levels beyond 500. We’re also currently developing a rework to Ranked Matches as a whole, and hope to have them ready by Version 2.10.

Others

The game’s version number now displays in the bottom right corner of the title screen.

Battle and Character Adjustments

Since major changes were introduced in Version 1.50, this patch will be similar to Version 1.51 and focus mainly on bug fixes. We’ve also adjusted skills like Cagliostro’s Mehen and Grimnir’s Wind Crests, which were designed to be a different color for the second player. To ensure fair play in online matches or other scenarios where players cannot choose whether to play as Player 1 or Player 2, we have modified the effects so that the colors will only change during mirror matches.

Zeta

Jumping Forward hitbox has been extended when Zeta is on player 2’s side (i.e., Zeta is facing left) and the foe is in hit stun.

This change is intended to fix an issue where combos would be chained into slightly differently depending on if Zeta was on player 1 or player 2’s side.

Goetia Fixed an issue where players could perform another  Goetia after performing a  Goetia that caused the Combo Limit message to appear.
Cooldown has been increased by 25F.

This change is in response to the above Combo Limit issue due to the fact that the projectile has two stages.

Mehen The color now only changes during mirror matches.
Mehen Fixed an issue where players could perform another  Mehen after performing a  Mehen that caused the Combo Limit message to appear.

Six-Claw Execution Now causes ground bounce due to an issue where the follow-up hit animation would sometimes whiff after hitting the foe at a distance.

Announced earlier this year, The Thing Remastered will feature a host of improvements to help modernize it for today’s gaming machine, and to help demonstrate these improvements, Nightdive Studios have released a brand-new gameplay trailer for The Thing Remasterd.

Announced two months ago, Rebellion has now delivered a deluge of info for Sniper Elite: Resistance. Not only did we get a new trailer confirming the game will be released on January 30, 2025, but we also get details on the game’s pre-order bonuses, roadmap and Season Pass.

About Sniper Elite: Resistance:

In Sniper Elite: Resistance, Harry Hawker, agent of the Special Operations Executive (SOE), takes the lead role for the first time in the series as he discovers an insidious new Wunderwaffe – something so powerful, it guarantees the Nazis would win the war. IllFonic has released Ghostbusters Spirits Unleashed update 1.27 on all platforms, and this is to bring the patch version 1.10.0 content. There’s a new bounty available, new gear shells and more, with the complete details listed below in the official patch notes.

NEW Bounty – The Scoleri Brothers

The Scoleri Brothers, originally tried for murder and sentenced to the electric chair in 1948, are back with a vengeance! They’re haunting the S.C.Y. County Courthouse and terrorizing innocent civilians, and it’s up to you and your fellow Busters to restore order in the court! Completing this first-ever “double-Ghost” bounty will unlock Tony and Nunzio Scoleri in your Ghost roster!

The Scoleri Brothers bounty is available after completing the Samhain bounty.

NEW Gear Shells – Zeddemoore

Ghostbusters Headquarters went from being out of commission to being the booming operation it is today, thanks to Winston’s business savvy. The innovation didn’t stop with the Firehouse, as today we present to you these sleek and modern new designs for your Particle Thrower and Proton Pack!

The Zeddemore Gear Shells are unlockable via contracts.

Balance Changes

Hello all Ghosts and Ghostbusters! This is Community Manager Albert and Game Designer Jullian here to talk to you about the design intentions behind this patch. We’ve made quite a few changes to the overall balance of the game to make gameplay feel smoother, snappier, and more rewarding. Our intention behind this update is for both Ghosts and Busters to have a wider variety of tools and options to engage with each other.

Due to the amount of changes included in this patch, we will definitely be keeping a close eye on the overall balance of the game.

Player Movement and Engagements

We’ve tweaked some numbers here with the intention to incentivize more direct engagements between Ghosts and Ghostbusters. These changes should give Busters a few more tools and a bit more time to catch up and lock down Ghosts, while still allowing for Ghosts to have a choice in the matter of engaging and disengaging.

Ghosts

General

  • Reduced speed burst duration after breaking a tether
  • Reduced the speed burst duration in order to incentivize Ghosts to use their speed burst for combat instead of only for escaping.
  • Reduced movement speed while possessing chairs

Chair possessables are plentiful in many of our maps and are generally located around many instances of themselves. This makes it very easy for Ghosts to quickly jump between chairs and clear large distances while charging energy. Rapid possession through chairs makes it difficult for Busters to directly engage with Ghosts. This strategy was too beneficial for Ghost players with no downsides.

We’ve reduced the movement speed of possessed chairs to give Busters more of a chance to engage with Ghosts in these scenarios, while still allowing Ghosts to have fun with this strategy.

  • Slightly decreased the difficulty of the Trap Escape QTE

There’s already plenty of button mashing when playing as a Ghost. We’d like the trap escape QTEs to be a bit more accessible to newer players or players who may need a bit of help in mashing.

Buster Secondary Gadgets 

Disruptor Pylon

Disruptor Pylons primarily became a tool for finding Rifts and did too good of a job at it. Due to the Disruptor Pylon’s ability to locate Rifts, this puts significant stress on the Ghost player. This went against our original design intentions of the Disruptor Pylon being a tool for locking down areas. To incentivize the original design intentions of the Disruptor Pylon, we’ve reduced its deployment time and removed the battery drain.

  • Disruptor Pylons no longer target possessables with Rifts hidden in them

We’ve made this change to give Ghosts a counterplay option against Disruptor Pylons. By moving Rifts into other non-artifact possessables, the Disruptor Pylon will no longer automatically target the possessable.  The Disruptor Pylon will still target the possessable if the Ghost also possesses it. However, if that possessable is still within a Disruptor Pylon’s area of effect, the Ghost cannot extract the Rift until the Disruptor Pylon is haunted or destroyed.

  • Disruptor Pylons will continue to target artifacts even if the artifact does not contain a rift.
  • Reduced deployment time from 2.6 seconds to 2 seconds
  • Disruptor Pylon battery no longer passively depletes

Given the Ghost’s ability to easily disable this gadget, we felt the depleting battery was unnecessary with the current changes. This change removes the gadget’s demand to be monitored or forgotten by Busters and instead redirects focus toward more strategic Disruptor Pylon placement.

Ionizer Pods

Ghosts were easily able to avoid the Ionizer Pod between its travel time and activation, especially if the Ghost was already speed bursting away.  This change will give the Ionizer Pods more of a chance to be deployed before the Ghost is out of range.

  • Reduced deployment time from .5 seconds to .2 seconds

Belt Gizmo 

The Belt Gizmo was generally ignored by players due to players feeling like it lacked utility compared to other gadgets. This buff to the damage resistance from Scare Attacks will help incentivize the use of the Belt Gizmo for defensive players that want to keep themselves up and kicking longer against more aggressive Ghosts.

Ecto Goggles

We’d like to see some more use of the Ecto Goggles without overtuning it. This change should incentivize the use of Ecto Goggles and make them feel a bit more viable.

  • Removed movement speed debuff modifier

Ghosts

We noticed that Ghost players had a tendency to default back towards the Ectoplast Ghost Type due to their lower cooldowns, snappier feel, and smooth combos. The goal here was to enhance that sense of satisfying gameplay, uniqueness, and viability for all Ghost Types.

Report: New Concept Art Surfaces for PlayStation London Cancelled Project

This year has been brutal for those working in the video game industry, with studio closures and massive layoffs causing many projects to never see the light of day.

London Studio, a first-party PlayStation studio responsible for titles like the VR game “Blood & Truth” and the sequel “The Getaway: Black Monday”, was one of the studios to suffer this fate. Sadly, the studio was closed earlier this year as part of a restructuring within PlayStation, leading to the cancellation of a new IP codenamed “Camden”, a live service co-op title set in a fantasy version of London.

Before its cancellation, only a piece of concept art showcasing the game’s aesthetic was available. It depicted a modern take on the fantasy genre, with orcs and a dragon battling what appeared to be the main characters in the middle of a city.

Thanks to a recent finding, we can now take another look at the game’s setting.

PlayStation London Cancelled Project – A Colourful and Vibrant London

The discovery comes from an ArtStation post by artist Léa Pinto, who worked at London Studio from 2021 until April 2023.

The post shows concept art created in 2023 for a canceled project, making it easy to deduce that it is Camden. This is reinforced by the elements in the illustrations, which include color explorations for two pieces depicting the streets of London and shops with names that play on fantasy elements like fairies, orcs, and elves.

While the first two images in the post showcase concepts of a street during the day and night, the following ones depict what appears to be the front of St. Paul’s Cathedral, one of London’s most famous and recognizable landmarks.

It’s also worth noting that the illustrations’ colorful aesthetic matches that of the first artwork revealed by London Studio in 2022.

Unfortunately, nothing else of note is shown, so we can only hope that more content from the development of this canceled project will be revealed in the future. We will report if there are any updates.

Balatro Update 1.12 Deals Friends of Jimbo 2 and This Brings New Crossover Characters

Balatro’s Friends of Jimbo Update 2 is now available for download on all platforms! Console gamers will see this as Balatro update 1.12 on last-gen, and current-gen owners will see this as update version 1.012. This patch adds crossover content from Cyberpunk 2077, Stardew Valley and more.

Balatro is out now on consoles, PC, and mobile devices, and this patch should be available on all platforms as well.

God of War Ragnarok PC Update for October 24 Brings Patch 6

Jetpack Interactive has released a new God of War Ragnarok PC update for October 24, and this brings a short list of fixes to the game. Perhaps the biggest notable fixes are the ones affecting the Journal crash, and the one that disables the controller that causes a crash.

God of War Ragnarok PC Update for October 24 Patch Notes:

  • Fixed a crash in UI when opening certain Journal pages
  • Fixed a crash that could happen when controllers get disabled or enabled in rapid succession
  • Fixed a crash that would occur in various locations in Vanaheim
  • Improved performance of AMD Zen1 and Zen2 processors in areas where the game was CPU limited
  • Increased tessellation in Realm Between Realms back to PS5 quality
  • Note that the performance issue related to tessellation is resolved in NVIDIA drivers 565.90 or higher
  • Fixed an issue where lock on would rapidly bounce between targets when using mouse. It will now be more “sticky” requiring more effort to change targets
  • Fixed an issue where attack indicators would not look correct when using frame generation
  • Fixed an issue where cinematic dialogue audio would be lower volume than intended

God of War Ragnarok retains its awesome PS5 gameplay, though now with a shinier coat of paint. A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead Gets First Post-Release Patch in Version 1.004, and Here Are the Fixes

Stormind Games has pushed out A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead update 1.004, which is the horror game’s first post-release patch. Available now on all platforms, this brings various fixes to technical issues, and even ones affecting the audio.

There’s a lot to take in, so read on for the complete patch notes straight from publisher Saber Interactive.

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead Update 1.004 Patch Notes for October 24:

Visual & Art Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the lights were turning off even when standing near a barrel at the beginning of the Fire Station.
  • Fixed an issue where the right-side bridge would shrink at the beginning of the level sequence in the Fire Station.
  • Fixed an issue where some visual artifacts were appearing in a puddle in the garage of the Hospital.
  • Fixed an issue where Martin was not stopping in the room with the candles at the Ranch.
  • Fixed an issue where the fire was clipping through the van in the tunnel during the Chase sequence.
  • Fixed an issue where the lamp would disappear from the garden in the Forest.
  • Fixed an issue where Alex’s hand would appear floating in the air when climbing down the obstacle near the waterfalls in Trainwreck.
  • Improved look of the train cars in the broken rail area of the Trainwreck level.
  • Fix an issue where there were floating foliage, floating bridge grates, and compenetrating electrical wires at the Trainwreck.
  • Fixed an issue where some leaves in the Lake level were not properly placed on the ground.
  • Touched up the asset model for the air vent grates.
  • Fixed an issue where the sprites had inconsistent animations in the game credits.

General Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where subtitles would re-enable during the ending sequence in the Prologue.
  • Fixed an issue where the “Lighting” achievement was not being granted regardless of when Alex reached the chapel at the Hospital. If you have done this previously it should be awarded to you automatically.
  • Fixed an issue where Alex could still interact with the training pool door after completing the hide-and-seek mission in the Fire Station.
  • Fixed an issue where Alex could interact with the locker while inside the vent in the Fire Station.
  • Fixed an issue where the door would close too quickly in the room with the wooden plank in the Fire Station.
  • Fixed an issue where there was a missing “Need Key” message when standing outside of the cabin in the Campsite.
  • Fixed an issue where the plank found by the house at the pier could be picked up from the outside while at the Harbor.
  • Fixed an issue where the wrong hint was displayed for the electronically locked door while holding a barrel while at the Harbor.
  • Fixed an issue where the “Skip” button during the death strike sequence at the Harbor was hidden behind the black bars that show in Theater Mode during the death strike sequence.
  • Fixed an issue where the lit flare was not being dropped as Alex climbs into the vent in the Pump Station.
  • Fixed an issue where the hint marker was not updating after Alex climbed into the vent after reaching the safe zone in the Pump Station.
  • Fixed an issue with a door lock disappearing in the Pump Station.
  • Fixed a lock that had the bolt without the rest of the mechanism on the cabin door in the artisan’s garden in the Forest.
  • Fixed an issue where blocking Martin from walking in the basement at the Ranch would teleport him to a different place in the same room.
  • Fixed an issue where there was an extra collision placed between the rocks on the way to the notebook at the waterfalls area of the Trainwreck level.
  • Fixed an issue where the flare tutorial would briefly appear when opening the tutorial for the Journal.
  • Fixed an issue where defused bottles and tin cans had their physics reenabled throughout the game.
  • Fixed an issue where pressing the fast equip buttons were not triggering a notification that the inventory could not be accessed while inside the air ducts.
  • Fixed an issue where if the player set the “Show Item Callout” option to “Always On” in the game settings, and then went into Survivor Mode, the setting would become greyed out and default to “Only On Request.”
  • Fixed an issue where valves could be picked up while standing on top of them.
  • Fixed an issue where rope traps were placed in the wrong positions.
  • Fixed an issue where “normal” movement speed would sometimes register as “slow” movement speed for players.
  • Fixed an issue where head-bobbing while running would continue during animation sequences. running head-bobbing occurred during animation sequences.
  • Fixed inconsistencies with some game world objects whose state would be lost upon reloading that checkpoint.
  • Fixed a typo in the word “trophies” for PlayStation 5.
  • Fixed an issue with vertical switching and the selector disappearing while on the Survivor Mode selection screen for Xbox Series X|S.
  • Fixed an issue related to the mouse cursor during the key rebinding process for PC.

 

Audio Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the soundtrack would stop playing if the player skipped the cutscene before escaping the creatures in the Trainwreck.
  • Adjusted sound volumes throughout the game.
  • Removed the high-pitched sound made by the creatures and replaced it with a relatively softer one.

Creature Fixes

  • Added a missing outro animation for the creature in the garage at the Hospital.
  • Fixed an issue where the creature could be stuck after jumping from the narrow passage in the Pump Station.
  • Fixed an issue where the creature would walk through a burst pipe and not be able to return to the roof of the Pump Station.
  • Fixed an issue with the creature displaying the wrong jump animation in Pump Station.
  • Fixed an issue with the jump animation for the creature at the Pump Station.
  • Fixed an issue where the creature could get stuck near the wooden plank in the Pool area at the Fire Station.
  • Fixed an issue with the creature’s reaction cue after the final sequence in the Trainwreck.
  • Fixed an issue where interactions were disabled when the creature was in aggressive mode.

Helldivers 2: Truth Enforcers Warbond Launches October 31, and Here’s What’s in It

Arrowhead has just announced a new round of content for Helldivers 2 fans, set to be released later this month. After successfully completing its 60-day plan for Helldivers 2, Arrowhead Game Studios now has even more to offer the franchise’s fans.

The Helldivers 2 Truth Enforcers Warbond update will bring new weapons, armor, and more. Here’s what’s included in the Helldivers 2 Truth Enforcers Warbond.

Helldivers 2: “Truth Enforcers Warbond” Contents:

New Weapons:

  • SG-20 Halt – A pump-action shotgun, similar to the Punisher, that can alternate between stun rounds and armor-penetrating flechette rounds.
  • SMG-32 Reprimand – A heavy SMG that also features a cool slap reload, just like in the accurate, true-to-life movies you love.
  • PLAS-15 Loyalist Pistol – This pistol allows you to shoot semi-auto style, or you can charge it up for a shot with more kick.

Armors:

  • UF-16 Inspector Armor – Light armor in crisp, stain-free white with red accents, paired with the “Proof of Faultless Virtue” cape.
  • UF-50 Bloodhound Armor – Medium armor with the “Pride of the Whistleblower” cape, picking up on those deep, official-looking reds.

Both of these armors have the Unflinching passive, which reduces staggering when hit.

Boosters, Cosmetics & More:

  • Dead Sprint: When stamina reaches zero, sprinting and diving will decrease health, allowing continued use of these actions without penalty.

There are also new capes coming, including “Inconspicuous Black Pattern,” “Proof of Faultless Virtue,” and “Pride of the Whistleblower.”

Players can expect a patch to be released a day or two before the actual update. While the exact release time of the patch hasn’t been announced, it’s likely to go live around 9 am UTC. Once it’s live, we will make sure to keep you guys informed here at MP1st.

In related news, Helldivers 2 might not remain a PlayStation exclusive forever. While an Xbox version hasn’t been confirmed, it hasn’t been entirely ruled out either. According to the developers, the decision ultimately rests with Sony and Xbox, who would need to “duke it out” to make it happen.

Battlefield 2042 “Circle of Hell” Event Launches Oct. 29; Brings Hardcore Mode, New Event Pass

While DICE might have said good bye to Battlefield 2042 in terms of new seasonal content, that doesn’t mean the studio is stopping from supporting the game altogether. EA has announced another new event for the shooter, and this one fits right in with the Halloween theme. Battlefield 2042’s “Circle of Hell” event launches October 29, and this brings hardcore mode.

What’s New in Battlefield 2042 Circle of Hell:

Hardcore Experience:

Maximum Immersion:

Hardcore Modes immerse the player in the battlefield like never before.

  • Minimal HUD: no mini-map, refined squad and inventory widgets
  • Removed enemy markers
  • Remixed audio for improved perception

Increased Lethality:

While you’re more fragile than before, you’re also more lethal than ever.

  • Reduced health
  • Rebalanced weapons: increased projectile speed, adjusted weapon damage according to weapon class
  • Vehicle health and damage output increased
  • Vehicle weak point damage increased

War Has Changed:

There are no heroes, only soldiers.

  • Increased reinforcements
  • Increased objective capture time and objective impact
  • Weapon selection based on class

Battlefield 2042 Circle of Hell Event Pass

Play through 30 tiers in the Circle of Hell Event Pass to unlock Free* and Premium** content including the M1 Garand (coming from Battlefield Portal to All Out Warfare), and XP boosters. All gameplay-affecting items in Battlefield 2042 are free and earnable for all players.

Free tiers give access to the M1 Garand, cosmetics, and more.

Previously, the only way to play BF2042 hardcore was via the Battlefield Portal. While it’s debatable whether having this new event only available in hardcore settings is a good thing, at least those who do want the mode get to play it. Better late than never, right?

In other Battlefield news, the in-development Battlefield game will see the return of traditional classes, as 128-player matches are now gone. The complete patch notes for the event will be released tomorrow, and we’ll have it up on the site once EA releases it.

Dead by Daylight Update 3.30 Brings the Version 8.3.2 Bug Fixes This Oct. 24

Behaviour Interactive is back once again with another bugfix patch for Dead by Daylight! Called as developer version 8.3.2, those on consoles will see this as Dead by Daylight update 3.30 for last-gen, while current-gen owners will see this as 8.300.200.

Players can expect changes to Killers, Survivors, and even the Halloween Event which launched last week.

  • The Flashbang perk and Firecracker items have been re-enabled.
  • The Level 2 of the Haunted By Daylight event tome opened October 24th at 11:00 am ET.
  • The Level 3 of the Haunted By Daylight event tome opens October 31st at 11:00 am ET.
  • Bloodpoint values for several Haunted by Daylight scoring events have been increased.

Killer Updates

The Skull Merchant – Basekit

  • Reverted The Skull Merchant’s movement speed when Inspecting her Radar to 4.6 m/s.
  • The Skull Merchant sees scan lines from her Drones at all times. (NEW)

  • Fixed an issue that caused the Killer client to crash when being blinded by a Flashbang or Firecracker at a specific moment at the end of their mori.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Survivors spam healing another Survivor in a corner of a map to potentially snap out of bounds.
  • Tentatively fixed the issue where players would face desync if they played the game on Low settings.

Astro Bot Update 1.006 Adds Let It Slide Speedrun and New Bots

As expected, Team Asobi has released Astro Bot update 1.006, and this adds the Let It Slide speedrun level alongside new bots! Read on to see the new bots, what the remaining schedule timeline is and more.

Astro Bot Update 1.006 – What’s New:

The new bots are:

  • Another Helldiver bot
  • Stellar Blade’s Eve

Same as before, there doesn’t seem to be any gameplay-related fixes associated with the free DLC drop, so don’t expect Team Asobi to release anything about it.

The remaining scheduled DLC roll out:

  • Oct 31: Spring-loaded Run
  • Nov 7: Helium Heights
  • Nov 14: Rising Heat

Based on the credits leak, it seems the mentioned bots there will indeed be rolled out in Astro Bot over time. Just don’t expect anyone from Final Fantasy to be part of the cameos given Square Enix seemingly isn’t OK with it.

Epic Mickey: Rebrushed Gets an Update This October 24 to Fix Progression Issues and More

Developer Purple Lamp has pushed out a new Epic Mickey Rebrushed patch for consoles and PC, and this slots in various fixes to the adventure game. Those on consoles, this will show up as Epic Mickey: Rebrushed update 1.04 on last-gen, and version 1.000.003 on current-gen hardware. Read on for the short list of changes made today by the devs.

What’s New in Epic Mickey: Rebrushed’s Update for October 24:

  • Various Steam Deck fixes and improvements
  • Added AZERTY keyboard support
  • Various graphical fixes and improvements
  • Various audio fixes and improvements
  • Fixed various quest progression issues from occurring
  • Spelling and localisation fixes and improvements

That’s about it. If you’re not aware of Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, it’s a new and improved version of Epic Mickey released in 2010 that was from the minds of Warren Spector. EA Sports College Football 25 Update 1.016 Runs Out as Servers Are Taken Down This Oct. 24

EA Sports College Football 25 update 1.016 is now available for download, and while that might be out,  players won’t be able to connect to the game’s servers, as EA has taken them down for maintenance. This is a a rather huge download compared to past patches, so make sure you have enough disk space to install it.

For the College Football 25 server downtime, it starts at 6 am ET/3 am PT and should last for at least 3-4 hours. Usually, the servers are up by 10 am ET/7 am PT, though it has been known to last longer than that from time to time.

GAMEPLAY

General

  • Refreshed the Ability Loadouts of players in Front End Rosters.
    • DEV NOTE: These ability changes are based on current player performance this season and changes to their ratings. We focused on the Top 25 teams in the game and their players. This will result in players like Ashton Jeanty receiving an upgrade to his abilities. Make sure to check out your favorite players to see if they have had any changes! 
  • Reduced the frequency of pitches out of tackles missing the pitch back.
  • Fixed aftershock ability inappropriately triggering on blocks.

Alignment

  • Fixed an issue where using a Cover 3 Shell on a Cover 1 Blitz play vs Empty Base Flex or Trio would result in the Tight End being left open.
  • Fixed an issue where using a Two High Coverage Shell (Cover 2, Cover 4, etc.) on Nickel Over Double Bracket would cause the defense to align in a single high safety look.
  • Fixed an issue where using a Cover 2 Coverage Shell on a Cover 1 play would result in the Tight End being left unguarded.
  • Fixed an issue where using a Cover 0 Coverage Shell on Cover 2 Man vs Empty Base, Empty Chip, or Empty Quads would result in the inside receiver being left unguarded.

Coverage

  • Added Box Call logic to Cover 4 Quarters and Cover 4 Palms to better Cover Bunch Formation route combinations.
    • DEV NOTEBox Call logic will dictate which eligible receiver a defender picks up/matches on. This is especially effective against Bunch and will have defenders in the best position to cover their assignments. Deep Zone, Quarter Flat, and 3 Rec Hook defenders will coordinate to make sure all eligible receivers are picked up.
  • Fixed an issue where giving a Safety on the left side of the field the Outside Third L Defensive Hot Route would assign him to play outside third on the other side of the field.
  • Fixed an issue where some press animations would press the receiver 10 yards down the field.

Pass Blocking

  • Addressed an issue where using the Defensive Linemen Slant Inside Command would cause defenders to rush into the same gap.
  • Changed the functionality of Defensive Linemen Shifts on Double A Gap defensive formations to eliminate unrealistic alignments.
  • Fixed an issue where Pass Block targeting lines were not appearing when the user would enter Pass Block adjustments.
  • Added new logic for Defenders to no longer be able to instantly disengage to the outside if they are given the Slant Inside D-Line Adjustment pre-snap.

Settings & UI

  • Fixed the issue where users would not get any clock run off with Accelerated Clock turned ON for Online Head-to-Head Ranked Games.
  • Fixed an issue where the Switch Stick delay setting that a user would set would not stick once the user changed the menu.

DYNASTY

  • Fixed an issue with the Power lineman archetype where they would not progress Pass Block Finesse.
  • Updated Bryant-Denny Stadium to be Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
  • Fixed an issue where the prospect list performed a full refresh every time a recruit is targeted.
  • Various news story fixes.
  • Resolved an issue preventing custom schedules from working properly.
  • Fixed an issue with how weights were displayed in the Team Needs screen.
  • Fixed an issue where the free practice tile would not always appear in the Dynasty Hub.
  • Fixed an issue where you could not super sim from the play calling screen when playing as a coordinator.
  • Increased the amount of wear and tear damaged body parts recover on week advance.
  • When viewing a recruit in the recruiting board, you are now able to change which recruit you are looking at by going up/down on the right stick.

COLLEGE ULTIMATE TEAM

  • Included Play A Friend as a playable mode.
  • Increased AP limit to 12 for Season 3
  • Increased the AP cost of ‘Aftershock’ from 2 AP to 5 AP. Having 4 Defensive Linemen with Aftershock is no more.
  • Fixed issues that were causing the following combinations to be unplayable in Lineups:
    • Warren Sapp and Booger Mcfarland
    • Brian Bosworth and Payton WIlson
    • Tavon Austin and Kamdyn Benjamin
  • Players can now have both a Travis Hunter WR and Travis Hunter CB in your lineup at once.
  • Fixed player appearances in silhouettes.
  • Nissan stadium is now the default stadium for Playstation tournaments.
  • Fixed a crash that was occurring when reaching gameplay after changing your favorite team within your profile.
  • Fixed stability issues that were causing long load times in Menus after users navigated to the Item Binder.
  • Fixed an issue with the ‘Open Next Pack’ functionality.
  • Promoting to Starter from the Item Detail View no longer duplicates the player’s name on the screen.
  • ‘In Lineup’ tags are no longer added on player items that are not in your lineup when flipping them in the item binder.
  • Fixed an issue with the Live Events Tab that caused the screen to flicker after navigating around.
  • Fixed overlap text on the Auction Details Screen .
  • Fixed scaling issue that was occurring in the Catalog after selecting ‘Find this Item’ from Sets.
  • Increased the size of the NAT, BND, and LTD labels that may appear on Player Items.
  • Position names no longer overlap with the lineup tabs on the Lineup Screen.
  • Viewing the back of a Player Item in a Fantasy Pack and advancing to the next round no longer causes attributes of the previously viewed item to appear instead of the correct items attributes.
  • Cleaned up overlapping text with Pack offers in Stores.
  • Stars within a Challenge Sequence and Milestone screen are now displaying correctly.
  • Selecting a wildcard slot in any set no longer allows you to choose from any player in your collection. Previously, users would select a player and then receive a server error afterwards.
