Battlefield 2042 x Dead Space Event Crawls Out on July 9, Brings Outbreak Mode, New Rewards and More

While Battlefield 2042 isn’t getting any new seasons from DICE, that doesn’t mean support for it has ceased. Case in point: the Battlefield 2042 x Dead Space crossover event has just been announced, and it’s due to be unleashed on July 9!

Check out the trailer and details for this incoming event.

Battlefield 2042 x Dead Space Event Info:

Event Schedule: July 9 to July 16

New Limited-Time Mode: Outbreak -In Outbreak, squads are tested by their human resilience and resourcefulness against a new and relentless enemy all while trying to escape the Boreas laboratory.

Rewards: New weapon charm skin, player card background and tag

New cosmetics: Dead Space bundle which includes legendary specialist outfit “Marked Man,” three legendary weapon skins and more, and will be priced at 2200 BFC.

Alongside the new event and rewards, Battlefield Global Community Manager Kevin Johnson also confirmed that we will be getting a title update alongside it, with the complete patch notes set to be released this Friday.

As far as new event goes, this might be one of the coolest we’ve seen from Battlefield in recent memory. Given it doesn’t seem like Dead Space 2 remake is happening anytime soon, this might be the next best thing franchise fans can hope for in the foreseeable future.

Marvel Rivals Spider-Man Gameplay Trailer Features Web Slinging Action and Various Skins

NetEase has released the Marvel Rivals Spider-Man gameplay trailer, and we get to see the webslinger’s abilities in action, as well as the various skins that will be available in the game.

Spidey can wallrun, web enemies into him, and his ultimate seems to be an AOE (area of effect) attack that webs and kills enemies within the area. If I had to make a comparison, it’s like Reapers’ Death Blossom ultimate from Overwatch 2.

You know the story, after a radioactive spider granted Peter Parker his arachnid powers, he started to shoulder the great responsibility of protecting everyone in his friendly neighborhood. While Peter never leaves home without his endless stream of quips and inexhaustible optimism, the crisis of the Timestream Entanglement puts him at odds with some of his greatest allies and unforgettable foes. But, with the Web of Life and Destiny hanging on by a thread, every amazing Spider-Totem and Web-Warrior will need to join the fray, even those that forgot their suit at home…

Excited for Marvel Rivals? You’ll be glad to know that the closed beta is set to kick off on PC and consoles this July 23! Read up on that as well as other details here.

XDefiant Down for Server Maintenance and Second Patch Roll Out This July 3

For those wondering why the XDefiant servers seem to be down even if we just got a long maintenance period yesterday that saw the release of Season 1, it’s because the studio is pushing out another title update for the game this July 3.

XDefiant Down for Server Maintenance This July 3:

Originally set to last for just an hour, Ubisoft has confirmed that maintenance is taking longer than expected:

There is a new title update that just got released as well, and it should include the frame rate fix plaguing PS5 owners since yesterday. Not only that,  but there’s also a bug regarding faction abilities that prevent players from using them for the entire match. Read up on our report of that here.

Once the servers are up or if Ubisoft sends out another update about the situation, we’ll be sure to update the article to reflect it. Go read up on our XDefiant review in the meantime to see what we make of the free-to-play shooter.

XDefiant Update 1.000.014 for Ranked Mode This July 3

Following yesterday’s Season 1 patch for XDefiant, the game suffered through performance degradation and other bugs that affected the game big-time. Today, Ubisoft San Francisco released XDefiant update 1.000.014, and this should introduce the frame rate fix for the shooter, alongside the start of Ranked Mode!

Note that this patch was released during today’s maintenance downtime this July 3, so if you can’t find a match, that’s why.

XDefiant Update 1.000.014 Patch Notes for July 3:

Update: Sadly, after our testing, frame rates are still an issue on the PS5 version of the game! While this patch does introduce Ranked Mode, performance on the PS5 version is still an issue, and Executive Producer Mark Rubin has confirmed that we will be getting another patch in a few days to fix this.

Outside of Ranked Mode, there doesn’t seem to be any patch notes as well.

While no patch notes have been released yet, Ubisoft did confirm an “emergency patch” is on the way:

We are expecting the PS5 frame rate issue to be fixed in this patch, and of course, Ranked Mode is indeed confirmed to be starting this July 3.

Once the official patch notes are out, we’ll update the article, so stay tuned! If you notice any other changes, leave a comment below.

Naraka Bladepoint Update 1.046 for New Season Brings New Map, Weapons and More This July 3

Naraka Bladepoint update 1.046 is now live, and this brings the Tenacity season into the game! This means a new map (Perdoria) is introduced, new weapons, a bunch of balance adjustments and more. Read on for everything new in Naraka in the latest title update patch notes.

Naraka Bladepoint Update 1.046 Patch Notes:

Brand New Content

I. Introducing an all-new map: Perdoria!

Seek eternal life in Perdoria.

With the new update, players can now explore our newest map: Perdoria.

图片1

New Areas:

Imperium: The Jiling Emperor, who spent his life in battle and unifying the land, moved his meticulously constructed Imperium underground to serve as his mausoleum, where he now rests eternally.

Arcadia: Built by the Jiling Emperor for his favored concubine, a Herald, it served as the place of their love story.

Azoth Peak: A serene and ethereal place where Qi cultivators practice. They pay special attention to cultivating medicine, hoping it will eliminate illness around the world.

Twilight Pass: Originally a remote forbidden area of Vesper Coven, is shrouded in thick miasma. The people here worship ancient gods and follow primitive rules.

Skygaze Cove: Formerly a place where craftsmen resided, it was later turned into a dock for mechanical vessels by Feria Shen’s ancestors.

Brand New Features:

1. Fortune Lands: Appears randomly in each match and has the same environment as the match. Defeating players within the Fortune Land grants Dark Tide Coins. There are three types of Fortune Lands: Resilience, Rejuvenation, and Soul Revival. They will, respectively, provide automatic Remains recovery, Health and Armor recovery upon defeating players, and an extra rebirth chance. Additionally, a Gold Devourer always appears in Fortune Land, defeating it rewards players with advanced equipment.

2. Mercury River: Encircles the entire area, with floating piles refreshing periodically. Players can surf on the Mercury River using slide moves. By crouching, players can lurk within the Mercury River, but prolonged hiding will continuously reduce Health. While lurking and equipped with a melee weapon, players can execute enemies using Blue Focus moves.

3. Lava: Originates at Skygaze Cove and can be partially controlled by the Lava Conductor. Active lava will burn players on contact, reducing their Health. A player who interacts with a Lava Conductor can activate a portion of the lava in Skygaze Cove, making their team temporarily immune to the lava’s burning effect. After activating the Lava Conductor is activated for the first time, additional resources will appear on the lava.

Brand New Mechanisms:

1. Sea Firefly: Striking it releases toxic mist, poisoning nearby players.

2. Carnivorous Yam: Interacting with it causes the player to be swallowed. While inside, the player is immune to attacks but takes continuous damage and can leave voluntarily. The Carnivorous Yam will eventually spit out the player after some time.

3. Spring Source: Interacting with it allows the player to play with water within it, continuously restoring Health. Once their Health is full, they will start to recover Armor.

4. Healing Willow: After interacting with the Healing Willow, a link forms between you and the willow. You continuously restore Health while linked, and gain a large amount of Ranged Resist. The Healing Willow can be connected with multiple players simultaneously.

5. Charred Wood: When attacked by players, Charred Wood collapses according to the attack direction. Players within range will be dealt damage and become [Vulnerable]. Falling Charred Wood can also destroy certain kinds of interactive terrain.

6. Clay Soldier: After interacting, you transform into a Clay Soldier, unable to open your inventory or use items. While in Clay Soldier form, performing an Attack will cause the soldier to unleash a damaging attack with a large range, as well as forcing you out of Clay Soldier form. While in Clay Soldier form, players take normal damage when hit.

7. Soaring Arm: Approaching it and using the interact button pulls the player to the starting position of a launch action. Players can then adjust the angle to launch themselves for rapid travel.

8. Celestial Barge: Located in the Skygaze Cove, players can spend Dark Tide Coins to interact with it and fire Celestial Fire at any area of the map.

Each match also guarantees Red Weapons, and Souljades. There are also numerous Easter Eggs waiting to be discovered!

New Music:

While in Perdoria, you will hear the following new BGM tracks:

1. Preparation BGM

2. A new Combat BGM track while in the five major areas

3. A Combat BGM track while outside of the five major areas

4. A new track for the 6th and 7th Shadow Corruptions while in the five major areas

5. A new track for the 6th and 7th Shadow Corruptions while outside of the five major areas

II. New Weapon – Fistblades

In the new update, we’ll be introducing a new weapon—the Fistblades.

(2) When her Ultimate is active, use the skill again to flash towards enemies’ backs and unleash a special attack.

2. New Effects of Skill [Flash: Thrust]

Thrusts in the aimed direction and stops upon hitting an enemy.

(1) Charging will allow the skill to penetrate enemies and increase its distance and damage.

(2) When her Ultimate is active, attacking the enemies restores Matari’s Health or Armor.

3. Ultimate [Invisible Assassin]

Repels nearby enemies. Resets skill cooldown for all allies and grants them [Stealth].

(1) Matari gains an extra skill use.

(2) Allies can restore Health and Armor by attacking enemies.

4. New Effects of Ultimate [Invisible Assassin: Restore]

Repels nearby enemies and enhances her skill. Lasts for 25 sec.

(1) Matari gains an extra skill use.

Unleash Ultimate again to instantly [Flash] behind the target, gaining an Attack boost and becoming [Invisible] for a brief time.

(2) [Flash] will not interrupt non-attack motions.

5. Skill [Flash: Retrace] has been deleted.

6. Ultimate [Invisible Assassin: Scale Rush] has been deleted.

//Dev Note: Matari’s offensive skills have been relatively weak, so we’ve introduced the skill variant [Flash: Thrust] to improve her ability to initiate and follow up on attacks. Additionally, we’ve introduced the [Flash] feature to her Ultimate [Invisible Assassin: Restore], allowing her to ambush enemies unexpectedly.

II. Ziping Yin

1. Increased [Nature’s Touch]’s Cooldown time from 22 sec to 25 sec.

III. Zai

1. The Ultimate [Chain Scythe] now deals 17% less damage with its horizontal and vertical strikes when hitting a target 6 meters away, while the damage within 6 meters remains unchanged. The details are as follows:

(1) When standing, reduced the damage multiplier of the first strike in a Horizontal and a Vertical Attack Combo against enemies more than 6 meters away from 1.04 to 0.87.

(2) When running, reduced the damage multiplier of the first strike in a Horizontal and a Vertical Attack Combo against enemies more than 6 meters away from 1.27 to 1.06.

(5) Reduced the damage multiplier of the third strike in a Horizontal and a Vertical Attack Combo against enemies more than 6 meters away from 4.02 to 3.35.

2. Reduced the damage multiplier of charged Horizontal Strikes and Vertical Strikes of the weapon [Chain Scythe] under the Ultimate from 0.5+3.25 to 0.5+3.0. Damage Multiplier of [Chain Link] and [Chain Link: Suppress] remains the same.

//Dev Note: Chain Scythe posed a significant threat to distant enemies, so we have reduced its damage to faraway targets while keeping the damage to close enemies unchanged.

IV. Tessa

1. Adjusted Rage cost for single casts of the Ultimate [Enchant] and [Enchant: Group Prey] to 60% from 55%.

//Dev Note: After casting her Ultimate and killing an enemy, Tessa could instantly cast her Ultimate again with the Soulbloom, overwhelming enemies. So we’ve increased the Rage cost per cast, aiming to reduce its frequency of cast in battle.

V. Wuchen

1. Increased the maximum casting distance of Yin Yang Orb of the Ultimate [Tai Chi Teleport] to 60 meters from 50 meters. Additionally, the maximum distance Yin Yang Orb can persist has been reduced to 90 meters from 120 meters.

2. Upon successful teleportation with [Tai Chi Teleport], a beam-like visual effect now remains at the destination for a period of time.

VI. Akos Hu

VII. Yueshan

1. Reduced the knockback distance of the Flash move in [Metal Fusion].

2. Unified all Souljades for counterstrike combo into [Sap]: Alters the counterstrike moves of melee weapons and enables them to provide a healing effect equal to 75% of the damage dealt.

//Dev Note: We have introduced a large number of [Sap] and [Horizontal Strike Finisher] Souljades for different weapons. However, due to the challenging conditions for Souljade effect activation and the need to acquire the corresponding weapon, many Souljade slots are occupied. This adjustment aims to enhance the usability of Souljades, allowing players to fully enjoy the variety of Souljades.

3. Unified some powerful Souljades and increased the drop rate of some Souljades in Morus’ Blessing and the Spirit Well.

3. Unified the attributes of Ranged Resist and Melee Resist of Epic, Legendary, and Extreme Souljades into a single Damage Reduction attribute.

//Dev Note: We aim to reduce the influence of attributes on players’ Souljade selection, encouraging them to choose more interesting Souljades.

IV. Added new general Souljade tags and optimized their display.

1. Reclassified Souljades into four types: [Defense], [Attack], [Strategy], and [Recovery] to make them easier to understand.

Minecraft Down as Server Issues Plague Online Game This July 2

Those trying to log into to Minecraft but having issues authenticating the servers and logging in, it’s not just you, as the Minecraft servers are down, and it has all to do with Microsoft’s on-going server woes for Xbox Live this July 2.

Minecraft Down and Server Status Updates for July 2:

Update: Servers should be up and running as normal

While Microsoft has already issued a few statements on Xbox’s server issues, it seems Minecraft is affected even on PC.  Developer Mojang has gone on Twitter to confirm that the Xbox Live issues is affecting their authentication services.

I honestly have no clue why Minecraft’s single-player portion can’t be played offline. I mean, if you want to check out new stuff, buy stuff in-game, that’s fine. It’s offline, so it won’t work. But the game itself should work offline for the single-player part, right?

For those on PS4 (and now PS5), is Minecraft working fine for you? Leave a comment below and let us know. In case you haven’t logged into the game for a while, Mojang released the Tricky Trials massive update, which you can read about here.

For those that can connect, leave a comment below and state your platform and where you’re connecting from.

Predecessor Update 1.36 for v0.19 Ushers in New Hero Terra

Predecessor update 1.36 (PS5 version 1.036) has been released by Omeda, and it’s for v0.19, which brings the new hero Terra, alongside balance changes. Read on for the complete patch notes for Predecessor’s July 2 update.

Predecessor Update 1.36 Patch Notes for v0.19:

New Hero: Terra – The Steadfast Bulwark

Cursebreaker Terra charges into battle!

Built like a bastion and hitting like a freight train, Terra finally makes her highly anticipated Predecessor debut!

An indomitable force of pure power, Terra effortlessly charges through hordes of enemies while delivering powerful blows with her ancestral axe. Her impeccable defences allow her to brush off even the most devastating of enemy attacks before hitting back with enough force to make you think twice about crossing her lane!

Abilities:

Hersir [Passive]:

Effect: Terra gains stacks of Hersir when damaging Enemies with her Basic Attacks and Abilities, up to a maximum of 5.

At maximum stacks, Terra’s next Basic Ability is empowered and gains additional effects.

Entering the Base grants Terra maximum Hersir stacks instantly.

Carve [Basic Attack]:

BAT: 1.15
Effect: Terra’s basic Melee attack, dealing 61 (+80% Bonus Physical Power) physical damage.

Ruthless Assault [Primary]:

CD11/10.25/9.5/8.75/8
Cost55/50/45/40/35
Effect: Terra spins her axe, striking all enemies around her before slashing forwards a second time. Each strike deals 45/65/85/105/125 (+80% Bonus Physical Power) physical damage.

Hitting an Enemy Hero refunds 10% of the Cooldown per strike.

Empowered: Terra strikes an additional time (for a total of three strikes), with the third strike dealing 55/85/115/145/175 (+120% Bonus Physical Power) true damage to all enemies in front of her.

Highland Hurl [Secondary]:

CD11/10.5/10/9.5/9
Cost50/55/60/65/70
Effect: Terra throws a spectral axe, dealing 100/135/170/205/240 (+90% Bonus Physical Power) magical damage and slowing targets hit by 20/28/36/44/52% for 1.25s.

Pierces Minions and Monsters.

Empowered: Roots Enemies hit instead for 1.25s.

Wild Rush [Alternate]:

CD14/13/12/11/10
Cost: 70
Effect:
Terra raises her shield, channeling for up to 4s before dashing forward and dealing 40/60/80/100/120 (+70% Bonus Physical Power) physical damage to all enemies in her path, knocking back and stunning them for 0.25s.

While channeling, for the first 1.25s her dash range and damage increases, dealing up to 120/180/240/300/360 (+210% Bonus Physical Power) physical damage.

If the Channel times out or is interrupted, this ability’s cooldown is refunded by 50%.

Empowered: On enemy hit, gain a 20/100/180/260/340 (+15% maximum health) shield for 4s.

Unstoppable Force [Ultimate]:

CD130/100/70
Cost: 100
Effect: Terra’s helmet slams down, cleansing all debuffs affecting her and granting her maximum Hersir stacks instantly.

For the next 6/7/8s, Terra becomes Unstoppable (Immune to Crowd Control) and doubles the passive bonus armors gained from this ability (see below).

Passive: Gain 10/18/26 Physical Armor and Magical Armor

Gameplay Balance Changes

Overview:

  • Jungle XP increased in the Mid-game.
  • Jungle Objectives gain additional Physical Armor.
  • Critical Strike Damage increased from 150% to 155%.
  • All Heroes gain additional Physical Armor Growth.
  • Outlier Hero Adjustments, including Grim.exe, Muriel, Gideon, and more.
  • Further On-Hit Item adjustments.
  • A general reduction in damage for various Item effects.
  • Frontline Support Item stat increases.
  • And more…!

General:

Critical Strike Damage is seeing an increase due to its relatively low efficiency and efficacy.

Critical Strike Damage increased from 150% to 155%.

Minions:

Minion AI improvements are planned for the future which will help resolve many of the frustrating interactions that can occur when interacting with them. In the meantime, balance tuning of Minion vs. Minion damage is ongoing with the goal of further improving a wave’s ability to bounce back and forth as naturally and intuitively as possible.

Melee

Minion Damage Modifier increased from 90% to 100%.

Ranged:

Minion Damage Modifier decreased from 115% to 110%.

Jungle:

Objectives

Objectives such as Fangtooth and Orb Prime can be slain too quickly, resulting in a reduction of the amount of fights that can naturally occur around these objectives, often rewarding the team with initial positioning too heavily as they melt through the objective. As a result, they are seeing increases to their Physical Armor, ensuring they stay alive for a few extra seconds, giving more time for the opposing team to counter-engage and attempt a steal.

Fangtooth:

Physical Armor increased from 25 (+2 per level to 25 (+3 per Level)

Primal Fangtooth:

Physical Armor increased from 60(+1 per Level) to 70 (+2 per Level)

Orb Prime:

Orb Armor increased from 90 (+3 per Level) to 100 (+3 per Level)

Blight Debuff increased from 40% to 50%.

Buffs

Red Buff

Both Red and Blue Buff’s Health Pool has proven too high since the v18 changes, with the time investment required to kill them being too high and feeling like a bit of a chore for some Heroes. As a result we’re reducing their Health Growths further, better allowing Jungler’s uptime on the map, while also fixing a nasty bug that was affecting Red Buff’s XP, with it now scaling correctly throughout a match.

Health decreased from 2500/3000 (+200 per Level) to 2450/2800 (+150 per Level)

[Bugfix] Now correctly scales its XP across the game instead of being stuck at Level 1.

Blue Buff

Health decreased from 2500/3000 (+200 per Level) to 2450/2800 (+150 per Level)

Gold Buff

Both Gold Buff and Cyan buff tend to be slain too quickly after their first few capture. Some additional Health Growth is being granted to them to increase the window of interaction available when either team attempts to kill them.

Health increased from 1100 (+80 per Level) to 1100 (+100 per Level)

Cyan Buff

Alongside the Health increases mentioned in the previous section, Cyan Buff is also receiving a decrease in XP offered, further reducing the ability for a one-sided snowball to occur when an Offlaner captures the majority of them uncontested.

Health increased from 1150 (+80 per Level) to 1150 (+100 per Level)

XP decreased from 70 (+12 per Level) to 65 (+10 per Level).

Camps

All Common Camps have received XP increases, starting from approximately 7m onwards. This is to better allow Junglers to keep up in experience during the mid-game when farming their Camps efficiently as Junglers have a tendency to fall too far behind in experience and be overly reliant on successful ganks to not fall behind.

Black Camp (2)

Large XP increased from 150/152/160/174/174/220/252/290 to 150/152/165/190/210/235/260/290.

Medium XP increased from 80/81/85/92/100/110/121/133 to 80/82/87/97/107/117/127/137

Grey Camp (3)

Large XP changed from 75/77/84/96/113/135/162/194 to 75/77/85/105/125/145/165/185.

Small XP changed from 45/46/50/57/68/83/120/125 to 45/46/51/65/79/79/93/107/107/120.

White Camp (4)

Large XP increased from 92/94/102/116/136/162/194/232 to 92/95/105/128/151/179/207/235

Medium XP changed from 54/55/60/68/79/93/110/130 to 54/55/65/77/89/101/113/125.

Small XP changed from 30/31/33/37/43/51/61/73 to 30/31/35/43/49/57/65/73.

Brown Camp (5)

Medium XP increased from 65/67/72/80/91/105/124/147 to 65/67/75/90/105/120/135/150.

Small XP increased from 25/26/28/32/37/43/50/50/58 to 25/26/29/35/41/47/53/59.

Hero Balance

General:

General Time To Kill (TTK) has proven too fast in many scenarios, especially in the case of Physical Damage output from the likes of Carries and Bruisers. While further balance adjustments to the damage offered by Heroes and Items are ongoing, to help offset this we’re once again increasing the amount of Physical Armor Heroes possessed when levelling up, better bringing us to a happy medium where punishes can still occur should an opponent step out of position, but not to the extent they blow up with little room to react.

  • All Melee Heroes Have gained 0.35 additional Physical Armor Growth
  • All Ranged Heroes have gained 0.25 additional Physical Armor Growth.

Web Banner Argus

Argus currently tends to find more success in the Support Role, with his Dread Nova offering more than enough damage and utility to unfairly bully our enemy Duos. As a result, Dread Nova is seeing a reduction in efficacy, while Particle Shredder is gaining further Damage increases, better allowing the Dwarf to take trades and keep pace in Mid.

Dread Nova [Primary]:

Damage decreased from 100/125/150/175/200 to 90/115/140/165/190.

Mana Cost increased from 80 to 80/85/90/95/100.

Particle Shredder [Alternate]:

Damage increased from 20/28/36/44/52 to 20/30/40/50/60.

Web Banner Aurora

Aurora’s ability to build durable and still dish out heavy damage when paired with her having the faster Jungle Clear among the roster allows for her to navigate the map with ease and possess too much disruptive presence in fights. While further changes are likely needed, for now Aurora is seeing a reduction to her base damage and ability uptime, further slowing down her ability to run over the map and burst through the backline.

Frozen Simulacrum [Passive]:

Monster Damage Cap decreased from 10 (+4 per Level) to 6 (+3 per Level)

Hoarfrost [Secondary]:

Cooldown increased from 14/13/12/11/10 to 14/13.25/12.5/11.75/11.

Boreal Sweep [Alternate]:

Damage decreased from 45/60/75/90/105 to 40/55/70/85/100.

Magical Power Scaling increased from 35% to 40%.

Explosion Damage decreased from 75/105/135/165/195 to 70/100/130/160/190.

Cryoseism [Ultimate]:

Damage decreased from 130/250/370 to 120/240/360

Magical Power Scaling increased from 50% to 55%.

Explosion Damage decreased from 65/125/185 to 60/120/180.

Explosion Magical Power Scaling increased from 25% to 27.5%.

Cooldown increased from 120/110/100 to 130/120/110.

Web Banner Countess

Countess has a difficult time surviving in the early game, especially in Midlane where she can be aggressively poked out with ease. Some additional trade potential and sustain is being offered to better allow her to weather the storm in the early game and give her a more consistent curve when looking to come online in the mid-game.

Shadow Slip [Primary]:

Damage increased from 85/115/145/175/205 to 95/125/155/185/215.

Blade Siphon [Alternate]:

Healing increased from 10/13/16/19/22 to 12/15/18/21/24.

Web Banner Crunch

Crunch is receiving some hitbox adjustments to his Right Crunch, with the default version gaining some additional range top better match hit Basic Attack range, and the Empowered version seeing a reduction in range to reduce the frequency that he uppercuts you from unnatural distances.

Right Crunch [Secondary]:

Hitbox Range increased by 10%

Empowered Hitbox Range decreased by 15%.

Web Banner Drongo

Some additional Attack Speed is being offered to Drongo to improve his presence in the early-game, while making him a little less reliant on rushing an Attack Speed item first.

General:

Attack Speed increased from 120 to 125.

Wastelander [Passive]:

[Bugfix] Now correctly applies when Rad Rounds are active and a Critical Strike occurs.

Web Banner Feng Mao

Feng Mao’s ability to secure a snowball due to his early game strength frequently leads to game states where he becomes out of control. Once this occurs, not only does he possess a significant damage threat, but he becomes incredibly difficult to catch out due to his mobility. As a result, Feng is receiving further decreases to his laning strength with a reduction to his Safeguard’s shielding, while no longer receiving as much of a cooldown refund on Reaping Dash, better allowing him to be punished if he should dash in carelessly.

Gideon has served as arguably the best all-around Mage for quite some time now, possessing both strong laning presence alongside incredible teamfight potential. On top of this, ever since we moved Gideon’s Black Hole over to its new instant-activation functionality, his ability to lock down opponents in skirmishes and teamfights improved as the Pull became overly reliable, further reinforcing his strength. To combat this, Gideon is seeing further reductions in his early Damage output and Mana Regen, alongside his Black Hole seeing a reduction in uptime and Pull Strength, allowing for a better chance of escape by his foes.

General:

Mana Regen decreased from 1.4 to 1.2.

Let’s not beat about the bush here – Grim.exe is too strong. Not only are they able to bully out their opponents in the lane and never run low on Mana, but their damage output in the late-game also skyrockets, easily able to shred through any opponent. A range of nerfs are occurring to bring them back to parity, with less upfront damage on many of their abilities, a reduction in the overall Mana Restore and Scaling of their Assault Mode, alongside an increase to the cost of their Assault Mode to ensure they must think twice about their Mana consumption.

R2000 Missile [Primary]:

Cooldown increased from 10/9/8/7/6 to 11/10/9/8/7.

Web Banner Iggy&Scorch

Iggy’s tendency to become an unmovable object in lane while simultaneously slamming waves into his opponent leads to low interaction. Pair this with his general scaling and strength when locking down an area of the map with his Turrets and it results in very few Heroes being able to successful skirmish with him or punish his mistakes. While further changes may be needed, for now Iggy is seeing a reduction in his laning strength and waveclear, alongside general reductions in his damage output in skirmish scenarios. Alongside this his, in exchange for higher uptime, his Turrets are seeing a reduction in durability making them easier to pick off and interact with.

Web Banner Kwang

Kwang’s early game duelling potential allows him to stand tall as one of the best early game picks. However, he has a tendency to fall-off hard into the late-game due to his lower durability and reliance on his Sword when looking to contribute to fights with combos. Morigesh currently trades too successfully by simply applying a single Mark to the enemy, especially when paired with various Item effects. Magical Power Scaling decreased from 40% to 35%.

Web Banner Muriel

Muriel currently overperforms in a myriad of ways: From her ability to act as a bully in lane due to her high damage, or how potent her Shields are throughout a match. Not only does this leave her feeling overly strong, but it also prevents other Heroes such as Riktor from being able to easily function against her due to pairing of offensive and defensive pressure she exerts. She is receiving a range of adjustments to bring down her strength, with reductions to her early game poke and damage output, as well as reductions to her general shielding potency, making trades against her have a higher chance at a positive outcome, and all-in attempt in the late-game have an easier time penetrating through her defensive utility.

Web Banner Rampage

Rampage has struggled to find relevance since the switchover to Six Items. This is combination of factors, including the potency of damage across the game. As damage is being stripped back further from many outlier Heroes and Item effects, Frontline Heroes such as Rampage should naturally find themselves having an easier time contributing to fights without dying too quickly. Riktor is largely outshone by the various Enchanters among the roster, as well as struggling in alternative roles to the generally high damage output occurring within games. Similar to Rampage, with various damage sources being stripped back further, Riktor will have an easier time simply existing in matches as a durable threat. On top of this, he is receiving further Damage and Scaling improvements, better allowing him to capitalise on a Hook, or clear camps and waves in his alternative roles.

Due to the control offered by Coliseum, its duration is being decreased, better offering a chance of survival to his target. Xbox Live Down With Servers Having Issues This July 2

For those who can’t play Fallout 76, Fortnite or other multiplayer game on Xbox, it’s not just you, as the Xbox Live servers are having issues, with multiple gamers reporting that it’s down this July 2.

Xbox Live Down Server Status for July 2:

Update 4: Microsoft has issued a final update, stating that the issues should now be resolved with logins.

Update 3: Microsoft is still investigating, and we’ll update the article again in a bit.

Update 2: Microsoft is still investigating the issues:

Update: Xbox has officially acknowledged the server outage:

We’ll have more on this as news develops.

Original Story:

Multiple gamers have reported on the outage, which not only affects online play, but also the official Xbox store.

Anyone else having trouble accessing the Xbox store on Xbox Series X.

Over on Down Detector, it has reported a massive uptick in players reporting on the server issues:

Checking the official Xbox status page, it mentions how everything is working A-OK, and everything is in “up and running” status. Chances are, Microsoft will issue an official acknowledgement regarding the Xbox Live server outage, and once they do, we’ll update the article.

For those that can (or can’t) log in, leave a comment below, and let us know where you’re connecting from, so others can be alerted of what’s happening. We’ll be updating this article as more info becomes available, so sit tight and refresh it from time to time.

XDefiant Season 1 Off to a Rocky Start, as New Patch Brings Frame Rate Drops, Abilities Not Working and More Issues

Earlier today, Ubisoft San Francisco has released the Season 1 patch for XDefiant that not only brings in a new faction, but new maps, weapons, and even gameplay changes too. However, it also dragged in quite a number of issues! From the game client crashing, frame rate drops, to even locking your faction ability unusable in the match.

I’ve logged in today to check out Season 1, but after a few matches, it’s pretty evident that another patch is needed to sort out the various bugs that have surfaced. Multiple reports about the game’s performance issues taking a massive dip after the patch has surfaced on the game’s subreddit, and is something I have witnessed first-hand. It happens on both the old and new maps, and severely affects gameplay. From my experience, seeing multiple enemies at once chugs the frame rate down for some reason.

Not only that, but players have reported on crashing issues as well:

Crashes ?

Random Crashes
byu/Thanatos761 inXDefiant

If the frame rate/performance issues and crashes aren’t bad enough, it seems faction abilities malfunction in matches. I’ve personally experienced this wherein a faction ability will be “greyed out” and can’t be used, and the only solution is to change factions when you die, and then switch back again once you die again. Of course, this means you lose a ton of ultra meter in the process and this seems to affect a lot — if not all — faction abilities.

Whats up with the abilities right now?
byu/jamesdkelso inXDefiant

Not only that, but there’s even issues with career stats as well. Based on my experience, Skill Rating, Score per Minute (SPM) and more aren’t being tracked, which is something other players have noticed as well.

Career stats aren’t tracking after the update
byu/crazybout inXDefiant

At the time of this writing, Ubisoft has not acknowledged any of the issues, though we’re hoping that changes soon. Chances are, another patch is needed to fix some of these issues, and if you’re one of the many affected, take comfort in the fact that it’s not just you. Not that it helps you resolve the problems, but at least, you can eliminate that it’s your rig or console that’s the problem, right?

Once we know more about what’s happening, we’ll be sure to provide our readers an update on the latest developments.
