The Finals Update 2.6.0 for Version 1.000.029 Adds Terminal Attack Game Mode This May 2

Embark Studios has released The Finals update 2.6.0 (PS5 update version 1.000.029) and this brings a new game mode called Terminal Attack. Several other balance changes have been made too. You can check out the May 2 patch notes posted down below.

The Finals Update 2.6.0 Patch Notes:

PS5 version 1.000.029

Update 2.6.0
MID-SEASON EVENT: TERMINAL ATTACK

Welcome to the mode:

Terminal Attack is a new 5v5, single-life, attack-and-defend game mode in which contestants take turns delivering the decryption key to the terminal and the best of seven rounds wins. Attackers are tasked with completing the upload, while defenders must prevent it by any means necessary.

No healing. No revive. One life.

Players can regenerate health up to 100 hp, and gadgets do not regenerate at all, so engage with caution and go in with a plan. You can play Terminal Attack in the SYSHorizon, Monaco, and Las Vegas arenas, and be warned, the destruction you cause will carry over through all seven rounds.

Throughout the event, cash in contracts to earn event cosmetics to show your support for CNS, a rogue hacking collective, and VAIIYA, a cyber-security firm. Which side are you on?
Get in there, contestants!

This week, we have a special article from our Design Director, Matt Lowe, who explains League ranks, the journey THE FINALS has taken, changes in this update, and the potential future of ranked play. Please give it a read here.

This update has plenty more to offer, all outlined in the bullet points below. The highlights include a change to Private matches that allows matches to start with as few as 2 players and the addition of Power Shift! Let the 1:1 battles commence!

We’ve added two bonus Battlepass pages with rewards for the grinders out there. Make sure to check out the new drip!

Power Shift has a new arena in rotation! Now you can ride the platform through Seoul.

Finally, for the first time ever, the new Outfit added to the store will allow you to purchase individual items from the bundle as well as the entire bundle all at once. We also added a way to equip your new item to the contestant of choice at the time of purchase, but this feature has a bug that displays the wrong image and fails to equip. We have a fix already, but it will come in the next update. Check the bundle out right here!

A note on Anti-cheat:

The current state of cheating is one we are acutely aware of and actively combating. We have a team of skilled engineers, data analysts, security experts, and machine learning experts whose full-time jobs are centered around anti-cheat. Talking too much about anti-cheat can provide too much info to those who build, sell, or use cheats. And yet, if we say nothing, many will feel we aren’t doing enough.

Easy-Anti Cheat is our base software. It acts as the first line of defense and a catch-all for blatant, non-careful cheating. After that, we have added additional layers of prevention methods and anti-cheat tools and software that obfuscate, check telemetry, hardware behavior and more. With each passing week, we add more rules based on our own data and adjust the old ones. This is because anti-cheat is a game of cat and mouse. With every change we make, the cheat makers respond, and we switch tactics and they follow suit.

When we catch cheaters, depending on the level of offense, we may provide a 7 day ban or a permanent ban. If the offender is cheating for a second time, the ban will become permanent.

We have also introduced a video report program on Discord, where you can capture cheating when you see it and provide the video as evidence. This is to catch cheaters who evade our current anti-cheat preventions and to provide our community of players with a place to report hard evidence. From these reports, we will be able to better understand the types of cheats that evade our current systems.

Please know that we are developing several new technologies and techniques that we will test and deploy as soon as they are ready. We will never back down from this challenge.

Now, let’s look at the mid-season update in detail:

Balance Changes

Gadgets

Barricade

  • Increased the size of the Barricade by 20%

Glitch Grenade

  • Update glitch effect so that it will now pass through Mesh Shields and Dome Shields

Stun Gun

  • Increased the Stun Gun projectile’s maximum travel distance from 12m to 16m
  • Players who are stunned can now use their Specializations and Gadgets while stunned
  • Players who are stunned can now aim down sights while stunned
  • Players who are stunned can now crouch
Dev note: We felt that the Stun Gun was a little too dominant as a Gadget and led to many slow, inevitable deaths. The stun effect now mostly lowers the target’s movement speed, blocks them from jumping, mantling, or vaulting over obstacles, and interrupts interactions. This makes stunned players vulnerable but gives them a fighting chance.

Vanishing bomb

  • Decreased the impact of the cloaking effect on the Vanishing Bomb, so affected players are slightly easier to see when moving
Maps

Monaco: Power Shift

  • Tweaked the traversal options between Villas and Park for easier access to rooftops
  • Minor adjustments to the spawn points around the Forest and Royal Plaza areas to provide a clearer frontline during the final stretch
  • Slightly adjusted the path of the platform to fix some clipping issues and make it more accessible on the road between Shopping District and Forest
Specializations

Cloaking Device

  • Decreased the impact of the cloaking effect so that cloaked players are slightly easier to see when they are moving

Weapons

FCAR

  • Decreased damage from 25 to 22
  • Increased magazine size from 20 to 25
  • Increased the fall-off damage multiplier at max range from 50% to 55%, meaning the weapon does slightly more damage at range
Dev Note: Our data shows us that the FCAR is very strong in the hands of good players but harder to use for newer players. These changes hopefully rein in the weapon’s power at higher skill levels, while making it slightly more forgiving to use for newer players

Content and Bug Fixes

Animation
  • New intro and idle animation added for Dagger and Sword
  • Swapping items when quick meleeing will now instantly cancel the quick melee animation
  • Fixing an issue preventing hand gestures from playing for dual-wield items
Audio
  • Increased priority of enemy footsteps, and tweaked attenuation and occlusion to make them easier to hear.
  • Tweaked loudness of dematerialize and rematerialize sounds
Battlepass
  • Added two bonus pages of rewards to the end of the Battlepass – good luck contestants!
Characters
  • Fixed an issue where the fur on the bunny outfit was flickering when viewed at close distances
  • Fixed an issue where players did not get the default outfit when creating a new contestant
Controller Gyro Aiming
Important!

There is currently a serialization issue with some of the new gyro settings in this patch, which causes players to initially get the wrong defaults.

We therefore recommend that you restore defaults in the Gyro tab before enabling and trying out the new settings.
  • Moved gyro aiming options to a separate tab in the settings menu.
  • Made general improvements to the responsiveness and precision of gyro aiming controls.
  • The “gyro orientation” setting now has three modes:
    • World (New) – Rotation is based on the controller’s rotational movement in the world
    • Local – Rotation is locally read from the controller’s point of view
    • Player (Previously World) – Rotation is based on the controller’s rotational movement from a player perspective
  • Vertical gyro sensitivity is now an absolute value, rather than based on a ratio of the horizontal sensitivity
  • Added a new setting that enables focal length scaling for gyro aiming, which scales sensitivity based on changes in FOV, making scoped weapons more precise
  • Added options for inverting each gyro axis individually
  • Added new settings for gyro acceleration, which increases sensitivity the faster the controller rotates, allowing for sharp turns while maintaining precision for small and steady adjustments
  • Add a new ‘flick stick’ mechanic that can be enabled with gyro, which changes the functionality of the look stick so that you can quickly snap to face any direction
  • Added the following optional controller binds:
    • Reset vertical rotation (necessary when playing with flick stick)
    • Toggle gyro aiming (On/Off)
    • Disable gyro aiming (Hold)
Gadgets
  • Flashbang
    • Fixed an issue where weak flashes could overwrite strong flashes
  • Fixed an issue where Grenades, Mines, and C4s with default customization sometimes got a random customization applied
  • Fixed an issue where spectators could trigger mines
  • Fixed several issues where it looked like the player could place an object but no object appeared
  • Fixed an issue where the preview arc showed the in-air detonation effect on grenades that don’t actually detonate on a timer
Game Modes
  • Power Shift
    • Added Seoul to the map pool
Graphics
  • Reduced graphical Temporal Anti-Aliasing (TAA) artifacts on consoles
Maps
  • General
    • Adjusted collision on some bushes to improve interactions with placeable jump-pads
    • Fixed an issue where Zipline Cables did not break correctly when intersecting certain objects
  • SYS$HORIZON
    • Reduced the intensity of some of the interior colors
Dev note: Monitor and graphic settings that boost saturation make the colors more intense. Adjusting these settings can help to further reduce the intensity.

Private Matches
  • Lowered the requirement to start private matches to 2 players
  • The private match lobby creator now has the option to opt out of participating in the match
  • The private match lobby creator can now kick players from the lobby
  • Minor UI improvements to the private matches screen
  • Power Shift is now available in private matches
Ranked Tournaments
  • Reduced Ranked Tournaments size from 48 to 24 players
Dev Note: This change should make matchmaking faster, make tournaments available to more players in different regions, and help improve the quality of skill-based matchmaking leading to closer games
  • Reduced Ranked Tournament duration from four rounds to three, to account for the change in the number of players
  • Increased the speed at which visible league rankings synchronize with SBMM ratings
  • Improved matchmaking to closer matchmake player within their league rank
  • Added an indicator in the league overview screen to show your change in rank progression from the last tournament you participated in
Dev Note: This is the same arrow indicator that you get after a ranked tournament has completed so that if you missed it, you can review it on the league overview page.
Settings
  • Add a link to the Embark Portal in the system menu
Specializations
  • Fixed an issue where turrets lost targeting on players with riot shield
  • Fixed an issue where turrets would fall through buildings and not rotate when landing
Stability
  • Fixed three of the most common crashes
  • Fix for being able to close the “Compiling shaders” screen resulting in a softlock
Store
  • Players can now purchase single items within a Bundle
  • There’s now an equip button in the store rewards screen
UI
  • We have added a score log to display more scoring events in all different game-modes
  • Various playertag marker changes
    • Playertags now show distance to you
    • Playertags in-game are now uppercase
    • There’s now an effect on in-game healthbars to indicate healing
  • Fixed an issue in Game Summary where you could see duplicate stats for the same player
  • Fixed an issue where the ‘Contracts’ tab could faultily be accessed from the Battle Pass screen
  • Fixed an issue where the camera could be misplaced after inspecting rewards in the circuit screen
  • Polished and refined how pings are visualized in-game
    • Ping-icons are now smaller and will scale depending on their screen-centeredness
    • Pings, team health bars and objective icons now fade out when they come closer to the center of the screen
    • Off-screen enemy pings now behave like other off-screen icons and hug the screen edge closest to the pinged location. (Was previously not visible when off-screen)
    • Fixing bug where spectating players wouldn’t fade icons when the spectated player enters aim-down-sights
  • Voice lines for the default ping (when you ping a random location with no object attached to it) have been updated to be more consistent. Previously it would use “I will…” and “We should…” intermittently
    • In general, pinging something will now ask your allies to engage with that object, while pinging the ground will announce your own intention to move there
  • Updated options in the Contextual Ping menu
    • “Huddle here” changed to “Group up,” with all new voice lines
    • “Moving here” changed to “Go here,” using more consistent voice lines
  • Fixed an issue where you didn’t go to the correct page in the Battlepass from the outfit screen
  • Fix rare instances where first-person animations such as, reloads, inspects, and deploys could not be changed through customization
  • Added the ability to track contracts with a right click on the circuits screen
  • Fix for showing a single item rarity in the UI when previewing out of a bundle instead of the bundle rarity
  • Hit-indicator now differentiates damage from these types of attack
    • Long range damage
    • Short range damage
    • Melee damage
VFX
  • Polished the grappling hook wire animation.
Weapons
  • Improved melee aim assistance so that it not only looks for targets when the attack is initiated by the player, but also validates that they are still correct at the time aim correction is applied. This should reduce the number of occasions where melee attacks could pull the player away from a target
Security and Anti-Cheat
  • Added a requirement to have Secure Boot enabled for suspicious players
  • Several new suspension rules based on anomaly detection
  • Added suspension rule for using Aimbot
  • Tweaks to current anomaly detection
  • Hardened the suspension progression system

We will let you know when the next update is released soon.

Helldivers 2 Update 1.000.301 Patch Notes for May 2 Brings Crash Fixes

Arrowhead Game Studios has pushed out Helldivers 2 update 1.000.301 on both PS5 and PC, and this is a minor patch that brings stability improvements more than anything else for May 2.

Helldivers 2 Update 1.000.301 Patch Notes:

Overview

For this patch, we have addressed some crashes as well as performance improvements following the decline from the last patch:

  • Performance improvements
  • Crash fixes

Fixes

  • Fix for a crash that could occur during the post mission end screen
  • Fix for crash which could occur when destroying automaton tanks.

Known Issues [Unchanged since patch 1.000.300]

These are issues that were either introduced by this patch and are being worked on, or are from a previous version and have not yet been fixed.

  • Damage-over-time effects may only apply when dealt by the host. We expect to have this fixed in the next patch.
  • Reinforcement may not be available for some players who join a game in progress.
  • Helldiver may be unable to stand up from crouching when surrounded by enemies.
  • Game may crash if the host leaves while dead and rejoins the same play session.
  • Game may crash if the player changes the text language while on a mission.
  • Various issues involving friend invites and cross-play:
  • Friend Request cannot be accepted when the requesting player changed their username before the request was accepted.
  • Cross-platform friend invites might not show up in the Friend Requests tab.
  • Players cannot unfriend players befriended via friend code.
  • Players cannot unblock players that were not in their Friends list beforehand.
  • Players may experience delays in Medals and Super Credits payouts.
  • Enemies that bleed out do not progress Personal Orders and Eradicate missions.
  • Scopes on some weapons such as the Anti-Materiel Rifle are slightly misaligned.
  • Arc weapons sometimes behave inconsistently and sometimes misfire.
  • Spear’s targeting is inconsistent, making it hard to lock-on to larger enemies.
  • Stratagem beam might attach itself to an enemy but it will deploy to its original location.
  • Explosions do not break your limbs (except for when you fly into a rock).
  • Area around Automaton Detector Tower makes blue stratagems such as the Hellbomb bounce and be repelled when trying to call them down close to the tower.\
  • Planet liberation reaches 100

In other Helldivers 2 news, the devs detailed the Eruptor changes and shrapnel mechanics which is a hot button topic for the community.

Fortnite Star Wars Crossover Begins May 3, Bringing the Force to Battle Royale and Beyond

The now-annual Fortnite Star Wars crossover begins on May 3, bringing blasters, lightsabers, and galactic battles to the world’s most popular battle royale. The crossover will introduce new content to all of Fortnite’s core modes, including LEGO, Fortnite Festival, and Rocket Racing.

You can watch the new cinematic for the Fortnite Star Wars crossover below:

The introduction of Star Wars content will mark the end of the Avatar: The Last Airbender crossover event, so make sure you finish unlocking those items soon. LEGO Fortnite’s definitely getting the biggest chunk of content as part of this crossover, so we’ll start there:

LEGO Fortnite

The crossover brings a new island to LEGO Fortnite. This new island is home to both Rebels and the Empire, and players can help build up the Rebel Village to earn special rewards like lightsabers and unique blasters. They’ll also have to fight against the Empire’s forces. It’s even possible to make new settlements out of the remnants of Empire’s bases.

There’s also a new LEGO Pass centered around Star Wars content. Buying the pass will immediately grant you the new Chewbacca skin, and progression unlocks new builds for the mode itself. It’ll run you about 1,400 V-Bucks, which is not too bad in the grand scheme of things.

Battle Royale

Chewbacca also makes an appearance in the flagship Battle Royale mode. You’ll have to free him from Imperial Roadblocks in each match, at which point he’ll reward you with a powerful Wookie Bowcaster to take down your enemies. This weapon has a charge shot available as an alternative to its regular rapid fire.

Darth Vader also makes a return to the island, and you can once again get his lightsaber by defeating him. In the past, he landed at a random spot and was guarded by a patrol of Stormtroopers, so it’ll likely operate the same way. You can block, slash, and throw with it as you’d expect. You can also grab one of the Stormtrooper’s E-11 blaster rifles.

As is typically the case with these crossovers, there will also be a handful of quests to complete. Doing them all will award you with a Star Wars-themed back bling.

Fortnite Festival

The classic Mos Eisley Cantina is replacing the Fortnite Festival Jam Stage as part of the event. Players will also have a chance to jam out to the classic Cantina Band track as part of the event and even buy special Cantina Band instruments to add to the immersion of it all. In particular, the Seven-string Hallikset Guitar is unlockable by completing quests.

Rocket Racing

There are some new vehicle decals to unlock in Rocket Racing. In particular, there’s an Anakin’s Podracer decal and a Darth Maul decal that add some extra Star Wars spice to your races! Completing a set of, you guessed it, quests will also unlock an Energy Binders trail for your wheels inspired by podracing.

A handful of Star Wars skins will also release across all platforms. Dagobah Luke and Cloud City Lando Calrissian are brand new, and all previous Star Wars skins will also make a return, including Boba Fett, Han Solo, Leia Organa, Kylo Ren, and more. You’ll also be able to buy a Mandalorian-themed car skin for Rocket Racing and Battle Royale.

We’ll be sure to share patch notes once the crossover officially drops in-game. The Fortnite Star Wars event begins May 3.

Lawyer Pushing for Class Action Lawsuit Against 2K for TopSpin 2K25 “Not Functioning as Advertised”

If you’re having issues playing TopSpin 2K25 since you can’t even connect to the game’s servers or having issues being disconnected, you’re not alone. Unfortunately, 2K and Hangar 13 made the odd move of requiring players be online in order to play even the single-player portions of the game (like Career Mode). Well, a certain lawyer is fed up with all of this and is pushing for a class action lawsuit.

Attorney Floris Vulto who is a barred lawyer at Helder Advocatuur in The Hague, Netherlands, is organizing a class action lawsuit on the grounds of TopSpin 2K25 “does not function as advertised” and noting how the single-player mode fails to work offline. In addition to that, Vulto also highlights how the TopSpin 2K25’s servers are scheduled to shut down at the end of 2026 (as mentioned in the game’s product page), which is something that wasn’t clearly communicated to players at the time of purchase.

Vulto’s goal in the lawsuit is to obtain a reimbursement of all affected players and also potentially securing other forms of compensation. Vulto adds that they want to hold the developers accountable for misleading advertising.

If you’re interested in joining this lawsuit, you can do so by filling out this form. You can direct message Vulto directly here if you have questions and whatnot about it.

For now, 2K hasn’t said anything on whether they have plans to make Career Mode available offline. Aside from players not being able to access the game due to server issues, it has even translated to other players losing progress.

MP1st Take:

There is no reason for TopSpin 2K25 to not be operation offline. If it was multiplayer, sure. But Career Mode? Yeah, that should work offline. The only reason why it’s not is because of microtransactions. I mean, 2K can’t really sell you cosmetics, boosters and whatnot if you’re offline, right? This is something the publisher has been chastised for multiple times when it comes to WWE 2K, NBA 2K and now, TopSpin 2K25.

It’s sad to see this happen to the game and the developers. I mean, behind all this is a solid tennis game, which is what we noted in our review.

Persona 3 Reload Update 1.004 Sneaks Out on PS5 This May 1

Atlus has released Persona 3 Reload update 1.004 on PS5, and based from what we’ve seen, it’s not available on other platforms (last-gen consoles and PC), which is odd. Chances are, the last-gen versions (and PC) are getting this update at a later date or the PS5 version has an issue that’s specific to that platform.

Persona 3 Reload Update 1.004 Patch Notes:

Update (May 2): After a day, Atlus has released the patch notes!

  • Fixed an issue where during cutscenes, the lip sync would not match audio when set to English audio
  • Minor bug fixes
  • File optimization

Unfortunately, Atlus has not acknowledged the patch or any changelog just yet. While we’re not expecting new content, there’s quite a few bugs left untreated in the game.

Some of the bugs we know about that’s still present:

  • low-res and scaling issues (something we pointed out in our previous patch post for the game when one was released back in March).
  • Translation errors
  • Bug in Tartarus when you have someone scout and when you meet up with them they glitch all over the screen. (via masterduelistky)

If you know of any bugs that got fixed, or know of a few issues that’s still plaguing the game, leave a comment below and we’ll add it to the list.

We’re checking the community on what else they notice about the patch, and if we get an idea what’s in it, we’ll update the article. If Atlus releases an official changelog, we’ll update the article ASAP.

PROGRESSION

» WEAPON PRESTIGE CAMOS «

In Season 3 Reloaded, we’re introducing Weapon Prestige Camos, a new progression system for players to flex mastery of their favorite weapons in Modern Warfare III.

To unlock a Weapon Prestige Camo, players must earn a set amount of Weapon XP for any weapon of choice, including those carried forward from MWII. Weapon Prestige Camos are earned on a per-weapon basis, rewarding commitment and giving those of you completionists a grind to keep you busy for Seasons to come.

Our debut Weapon Prestige Camo is One Trick. Unlocked upon earning 150,000 Weapon XP, this camo coats the entire surface of your weapon in molten gold – and yes, it’s animated.

You can expect to see a new Weapon Prestige Camo in each of the remaining Seasons ahead. We look forward to seeing which weapons you choose first for your journey to prestige!

New Batman Arkham Game Announced, but It’s for VR; Batman Arkham Shadow Out Late 2024

There’s a new Batman Arkham game BUT it’s not what you think. WB Games has today announced Batman Arkham Shadow, a new VR (virtual reality) game coming to MetaQuest 3 in “late 2024.”

There’s no other detail shared outside of that, and more info about it will be shared during its proper reveal at Summer Game Fest in June.

As a huge Batman fan that loved the Arkham games, this is seriously disappointing to see. Unless Warner Bros. has a secret Batman Arkham game in development — which we highly doubt given the company’s recent admission that it wants to focus on free-to-play and mobile games — then this very underwhelming.

Will we see more of the Batman Arkham universe Rocksteady created? Things are looking grim especially since Rocksteady’s most recent game, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, has fared poorly both commercially and critically.

Helldivers 2 Eruptor Changes Detailed by Devs: Updates to Shrapnel Mechanics Outlined

Following some community feedback on the official Helldivers subreddit, the Helldivers 2 Eruptor will be seeing some changes. The devs have released a statement responding to claims that rockets and explosives now ricochet off of enemy shields. The team also touched on the game’s shrapnel mechanics and outlined some upcoming changes to how they function.

In a recent post that gained traction a few days ago, user Nuri489 shared footage of a rocket appearing to ricochet off of an Automaton shield. The post was later debunked, showing that the explosion that killed the player came from behind them, but it was circulated enough that the development team felt the need to respond with an official message both on Reddit and the official Helldivers Discord server:

Hey, everyone! The teams have been hard at work testing a number of community issues today, mainly focused on the changes to ricochets and shrapnel. In response to a previous post on reddit, we looked into the possibility of rockets and other explosives being affected by ricochets. This has since been debunked by the community, but nonetheless, our Ministry of Defense team also ran a number of tests today and confirmed that rockets and explosives are not ricocheting.

However, we have noticed another issue through these posts and community feedback that has identified the possibility for shots from the R-36 Eruptor to explode and rebound shrapnel at the shooter, which has a high enough damage value to instantly kill the player. To prevent this, we’re looking to completely remove the shrapnel effect from the Eruptor but will be increasing its hit damage as a result. This should make it less lethal to the user but just as powerful against enemies.

It should maintain its destructive power, and as it is still classed as explosive, it will not lose the ability to break objects, close holes, destroy fabricators, etc. This will, overall, be a buff to the weapon as the random shrapnel played an almost negligible part in the damage and power it dealt. It will still deal both impact and AOE damage, and both of these damage values will be increased to make it just as powerful, and more consistent.

Currently, with the systems in place, only small arms should be able to ricochet on armor. If you see an explosive VFX at the point of impact, the projectile is not causing a ricochet, as explosion effects are not triggered when a ricochet occurs. Shrapnel, however, can still explode outwards from the point of impact and kill the player.

We apologize for this misunderstanding and thank you all for investigating these new changes so diligently, and for passing on your feedback to us. Hopefully this makes sense and these changes should help everyone survive better!”

In summary, it looks as though the Helldivers 2 devs are looking to rework the shrapnel system to make it less deadly towards players. Consistency is important in games with intense difficulty late-game like this one, so it’s nice to see them planning changes that benefit the player and good decision-making in the heat of the moment.

Be sure to stay tuned in to us here at MP1st to keep on top of all Helldivers 2 updates.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Update 10.1 Patch Notes for “Thrills & Frills” Listed

Disney Dreamlight Valley update 10.1 is now available for download on all platforms, and this is for the “Thrills & Frills” content drop! There’s a lot of improvements, bug fixes, and new content available, and also the Act II of the expansion pass is arriving later this week as well, and we wouldn’t be surprised if the data for that is included in the patch download.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Update 10.1 Patch Notes for May 1:

Disney Dreamlight Valley Update Version 10.001 for Current-Gen

Disney Parks magic! Our newest Star Path – “A Day At Disney” – offers up exciting new Disney Parks-inspired rewards, including new attractions, Dream Styles for Daisy Duck and Minnie Mouse, and a snacky lil’ animal companion, among many other rewards.

– Please keep your arms and legs inside the attraction at all times! Ride many of the Disney Parks attractions available in the Valley – including attractions from last year’s Star Path – and take a selfie to commemorate the occasion! When optionally riding attractions, those with motion sensitivities may prefer to switch to Selfie Mode for increased comfort by pressing the “Change Camera Mode” button upon interacting with the attraction.

– Villagers will now send you mail – and sometimes even gifts – on occasion, giving you a great reason to check your mailbox regularly.

– It’s selfie time! All players can now use Photo Mode during Valley Visits.

– It’s not just your camera. Many of the activities you’re used to doing solo are now possible with friends including: fishing, gardening, mining, cooking, crafting, and – if you’ve been to Eternity Isle – time bending!

– Last update, we implemented some changes to the Furniture Mode camera that sought to increase performance stability. However, we saw that many fans missed the old camera functionality, so we’ve reverted this change – all while maintaining the stability upgrades!

– Increased text size on Nintendo Switch, improving readability.

– Express (and reward) yourself with a wide range of new, weekly DreamSnaps challenges.

– More optional items are coming to the Premium Shop for a limited time, as well as some returning favorites from past Star Paths! We’ve updated the Premium Shop to offer you an even better shopping experience! What this means is:

o    All weekly shop rotations are now comprised of 8 bundles / items.

o    Preview clothing on your Avatar before buying.

o    Get a better look at any special animations an item may have, thanks to a revolving preview display.

o    Toggle between day and night – where applicable – to get a better idea of how an item will look in the Valley before buying.

* Please note: Disney Dreamlight Valley Arcade Edition does not include seasonal Star Paths or the Premium Shop.

NEW CONTENT AND IMPROVEMENTS (EXPANSION PASS OWNERS):

– Welcome a very lucky new pal to Eternity Isle and the Valley. Oswald makes his grand entrance alongside new Friendship Quests and new unique items to unlock!

– Pick up where the story of A Rift in Time left off as you dive into Act II – “The Spark of Imagination”!

– Use your hard-earned Mist to upgrade the Royal Hourglass to Level Four, unlocking the following:

o    New Ancient Parts to collect.

o    New furniture items to craft at the Time Bending Station.

o    New Fragments and their associated furniture items – inspired by iconic Disney and Pixar stories – to craft, including Disney and Pixar’s Ratatouille’s Metro Entrance.

o    Take control of the new Dismantle and Upcycle features at the Time Bending Station to repurpose old Ancient Parts, Fragments, Gifts, and Ancient Cores into currency you can spend to craft other items within these categories.

– Make friends with new variants of the animal companions wandering Eternity Isle, albeit with a monochromatic flair.

– Collect new Scramblecoin figurines that offer up new powers and strategies to master, including Mike Wazowski from Disney and Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. and Oswald.

TOP CHANGES AND BUG FIXES:

– “Breaking Bones” quest: Fixed an issue in which the lion claw might not spawn.
