Forza Motorsport Update 7 for April 8 Zooms Out, Here Are the Patch Notes

Forza Motorsport update 7 has been released by Turn 10 Studios this April 8, and this reduces the installation footprint of the game by 15-20%, introduces Brand Hatch and Retro Racers Tour, and a lot more. Read on for the complete patch notes.

Forza Motorsport Update 7 Patch Notes for April 8:

Version Number:

  • Xbox Series X|S: 1.565.7629.0
  • PC (Microsoft Store): 1.565.7629.0
  • Steam: 1.565.7629.0

Update 7 reduces the installation footprint of Forza Motorsport by around 15-20%, decreasing its file size by 25GB on Xbox Series X|S and 29GB on PC. To accommodate this optimization, today’s update will be slightly larger than usual at 15GB.

A note on Forza Race Regulations: In update 6 we made two specific changes to the FRR model. The first change was to add more examples of sideswipe collisions to the model’s training data. The second was to reduce false negatives and ensure we assign penalties to players who should have received them but weren’t. This second change had the unintended consequence of also increasing false positives by a much larger margin than anticipated, meaning, it assigned penalties to players who should not have received them. In Update 7 we have adjusted the weighting so that we expect to see false positives reduce and added more examples of sideswipes to our training data to continue to adjust the model.

Update 7 will be live in the game for 5 weeks before Update 8 is released in mid-May.

League of Legends New Mode, Lee Sin ASU, and Ranked Rewards Detailed

Riot’s legendary MOBA is getting a Vampire Survivors-esque mode later this year according to the latest dev update. Alongside details on the new mode coming to League of Legends later this year, the team also shared their progress on Lee Sin’s art and sustainability update (ASU) and upcoming changes to ranked rewards.

You can watch the dev update in full here:

If you prefer to read the updates instead of watch them, we’ve got you covered. Here’s everything the dev update touched on summed up from the latest press release:

League of Legends Dev Update Details:

  • Despite play hours decreasing over the time of its availability, Arena’s latest run was successful overall. The team is focusing on improving variety to increase longevity of interest. When Arena returns, it will have lobbies of 16 players per game.
  • There will also be a new class of items: Prismatics, which will completely alter how Arena plays.
  • Although a less reliable method, players can now take the risk of buying items from the Anvil, which come at a lower price than usual.
  • More information will be shared in a dev blog coming next week.
  • Players can look forward to the release of a bullet heaven survivor PvE game mode for League of Legends during this year’s summer event.
  • Champion-specific titles in the updated Champion Mastery system have been made permanent.
  • It will also be easier to get Mastery with the new system, since it will no longer factor in team performance.
  • The updated system has a targeted release date of patch 14.10 on May 15.
  • Check out the dev blog on Lee Sin’s ASU for more details about the team’s approach to and process of developing his update.
  • The team has been working on gameplay clarity on some of his skins.
  • The team is targeting patch 14.9 on May 1 for the release of Lee Sin’s ASU.
  • Teemo’s ASU is targeted for release in patch 14.20.
  • Players can tune into MSI to see who punches their ticket to Worlds!
  • This year there will be a unique Victorious skin for each split.
  • The first split’s skin is Victorious Kog’Maw and the second split’s skin is Victorious Sona.
  • Upon unlocking all three Victorious skins, players will receive a Victorious border for them all.
  • More info can be found in a dev blog that’s out today.

Everything shared in today’s update is great news, but the announcement of League of Legends’ new mode is easily the most enticing information. PvE modes always tend to be fan-favorites, and League’s top-down perspective and varied character roster lend themselves well to a Vampire Survivors-esque game mode. We’ll hear more about this mode as summer approaches, but we’re excited to see it in action.

Are you looking forward to all the changes coming to League in the next few months? Let us know down in the comments.

Call of Duty Warzone Let’s You Experience Today’s Solar Eclipse In-Game

In case you didn’t know, a total solar eclipse is happening later today (in the US, at least). Not one to be left out of what’s happening, Activision has implemented an in-game solar eclipse in Call of Duty: Warzone!

Players will see the eclipse happening now in Rebirth Island, and we had to wager a guess: it’ll coincide with the actual time when the total solar eclipse happens in real-time, which is currently slated at 2:04 pm ET (New York), while those in the West Coast will see it visible around 10:33 am. Of course, the time it starts will vary depending on which state you’re in, so don’t expect the experience to be the same for everyone across the country.

What Is a Solar Eclipse?

A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, casting a shadow over parts of Earth and blocking the face of the Sun for observers in those locations (per NASA).

Will this have any in-game ramifications outside of putting Rebirth Island in darkness? We can’t say for sure. Perhaps there’s a surprise in store for players? But I wouldn’t count on it, as this alone is kind of cool to see happening in real time in a game.

In other Call of Duty news, Activision mentioned that there are more active players of Modern Warfare 3 and the current Warzone compared to the same time last year against the older COD title (Modern Warfare 2).

The images used are intended as visual references only; the actual game may look different as the builds are continually developed and refined before release.

World: Rondo

The following features are available only in Rondo.

New Feature: Destructible Terrain

Unveiling the Destructible Terrain feature, the first chapter of the environmental destruction feature we’ve announced in our 2024 Roadmap.

  • You can now destroy terrain to create cover when engaging in a battle within open areas.
  • Terrain made of concrete, cement, rock, or stone is not destructible.
  • The Frag Grenade, Mortar, Panzerfaust, Sticky Bomb, C4, vehicle explosion, and Pickaxe can be used to destroy terrain.
  • The maximum depth of destruction is 1.3m.
  • If you destroy terrain near an externally located wall, the terrain beyond the wall will also be destroyed.
  • Objects within the destruction range will only be destroyed if they were previously destructible.
  • Items in the area of effect will not be destroyed, and installed items will be converted into dropped items.
    • Folded Shields installed within the destruction range will have their durability reduced, and deployed Emergency Pickup will not be canceled.

< Dev’s Comment >

We’ve all had moments of frustration when we faced enemies in areas with limited cover. The Destructible Terrain feature we’re introducing with this update was designed to provide a breakthrough in such situations. As outlined in our roadmap, our goal is to go beyond mere environmental destruction and open up new strategies and tactics. Through this addition, we aim to infuse PUBG with greater dynamism and unpredictability, fostering advanced strategy. Furthermore, we will continue to develop and expand upon the environmental destruction feature, including this update’s destructible terrain feature.

New Weapon: Pickaxe

Introducing Rondo’s new melee weapon, the Pickaxe! Looks quite perfect for destroying terrain, doesn’t it?

  • Inventory slot: Melee Weapons
  • Damage: 60
  • Weight: 40
  • Can be used to destroy terrain.
  • World spawns.

EMP Zone

The following changes have been made to the EMP Zone to enhance the overall gameplay experience.

  • The frequency of occurrence has been reduced.
  • Will not be created after Phase 2.
  • The time it takes for the EMP Zone to activate after the warning message has increased.
  • The explosion sound upon creation has slightly decreased.

Emergency Cover Flare

Modifications have been made to the Emergency Cover airdrops deployed when you throw an Emergency Cover Flare.

  • Emergency Cover airdrops per Emergency Cover Flare: 3 → 2
  • The size has been slightly reduced.
  • Both the distance between each airdrop and its descending speed have been reduced.

In-Game Challenges

We’ve improved the In-Game Challenges in response to player feedback.

Challenges

  • Some challenges have been removed or modified due to their misalignment with the difficulty level, being too challenging to complete, or overlapping with the rewards. Additionally, new challenges have been added.
    • e.g., Loot 1 Self-AED
  • The challenges that require you to travel a certain distance or deal a certain amount of damage have been modified.

Rewards

  • Rewards that overlap with the challenges or have low acquisition rates have been removed or changed.
  • The number of Emergency Cover Flares available as rewards has decreased.

Area Modifications

Taking into account player feedback and thorough gameplay analysis, we’ve enhanced some of the terrain, objects, and environmental elements within Rondo that were hindering active engagements or increasing the difficulty beyond our intentions.

Lo Hua Xing

  • Reduced the height of the railings in front of the antennas.
  • The statues behind the buildings near the river have been replaced.
  • The railings and windows on the Market’s second floor have been removed.
  • Improved environmental objects that obstruct the player’s view.
  • Modified specific objects that discourage active gameplay and added new objects.

Other Areas

  • A bridge has been added to the South of Rai An.
  • Added new objects and ridgelines to areas with limited cover while also improving the terrain in these areas.
  • Enhanced the textures and resolution of some environmental elements.

Minimap

  • Minimap has been updated to mirror the above changes.

Gunplay

Based on player feedback, we’re making the following gunplay adjustments.

SCAR-L

  • Rate of fire: 625 RPM → 650 RPM
  • Horizontal recoil decreased by approximately 4%.
  • Vertical recoil decreased by approximately 4%.

AKM

  • Damage: 47 → 48

Panzerfaust

  • An equipping animation has been added.
  • The spawn rate at the Cable Car spot has been reduced, while the general world spawn rate has been increased.

Mk12

  • The sound of gunfire when equipped with the Suppressor has slightly increased.

Firing From the Driver’s Seat

  • Limited the angle at which you can aim when firing from the driver’s seat of vehicles other than the Motorbike/Dirt Bike/Mountain Bike/Quad.
  • Increased bullet dispersion when firing from the driver’s seat of all vehicles.

< Dev’s Comment >

In this gunplay update, we’ve incorporated some of the insights you shared with us, focusing on minor adjustments and balance tweaks rather than significant shifts in the meta.

After considering player feedback highlighting the limited usability and low win rates of the SCAR-L and AKM, we’ve implemented adjustments to enhance their performance. Firstly, we’ve introduced a slight damage boost for the AKM to provide it with a competitive edge in terms of damage output, among other ARs. Additionally, we’ve made alterations to the SCAR-L, which include a slight increase in its rate of fire and a reduction of both vertical and horizontal recoil by 4%. These recoil adjustments aim to offset the perceived increase in recoil resulting from the rate of fire adjustment. The revamped SCAR-L, now boasting reduced recoil and a slightly higher DPS, is available in Update 29.1.

Many of you probably have been eliminated in a flash by the Panzerfaust in hot drops or close-quarter combat. As an explosive weapon, the Panzerfaust is intended to deliver significant firepower. However, we’ve recognized that its current state, allowing for rapid firing with limited opportunity for opponents to react, has posed a challenge. Feedback on the Panzerfaust has been diverse, ranging from player sentiments to input from Esports leagues. As a response, we’re introducing a new equipping animation for the Panzerfaust, which prevents firing immediately after picking up or equipping the weapon.

The Mk12 currently stands as the prevailing choice among DMR weapons, and we’ve received significant feedback about the difficulty in discerning its firing sound when equipped with the Suppressor, especially in comparison to other DMRs. This has raised concerns about the weapon potentially being overpowered when both the Suppressor and the Lightweight Grip are attached. Consequently, although we are keeping the Mk12 unchanged for now, we are slightly increasing the gunfire sound when the Suppressor is attached. This adjustment aims to enhance its visibility during mid-range engagements.

While not commonly utilized, we’ve noticed that firing from the driver’s seat can be remarkably effective in Solo mode, posing a challenge for opponents. This tactic can provide a significant advantage in specific directions since the driver can take cover within the vehicle and fire from multiple angles. To address this, we’ve implemented adjustments to make it more realistic. By considering arm positioning and the vehicle’s structure, we’ve restricted firing angles to prevent shooting excessively far to the rear. Additionally, we’ve increased bullet dispersion to reflect the inherent difficulty of firing one-handed.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink Update 1.12 Raises Drop Rates and More This April 8

Developer Cygames has released Granblue Fantasy: Relink update 1.12 (PS5 update version 1.001.002), which is tagged as dev version 1.1.2 for PlayStation, and version 1.1.4 on PC (Steam). This raises the drop rates of Tears of the Apocalypse and Dark Residue from the Final Vision quest and more.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink Update 1.12 Patch Notes:

PS5 Version 1.001.002 | PC Version 1.1.4

Changes from Ver. 1.1.1 (PlayStation®) and Ver. 1.1.3 (Steam):

・[Quests] Raised the drop rates of Tears of the Apocalypse and Dark Residue obtained from The Final Vision quest.

・[Quests] Fixed a bug where link attacks performed by Ferry weren’t correctly counted for the “Perform at least X link attacks” side goal.

・[System] Fixed a bug that caused the Steam version of the game to pause when the game is no longer the active window.

Given we just got new content last month, it’s expected that this patch is mostly done for adjustments, and I gather, Relink players are going to be happy with this drop rate increase.

This isn’t the only patch planned, as we are getting the big 1.2.0 title update this month that adds new characters, Seofon and Tweyen! Once more details about that is available from Cygames, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.

Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising Update 1.31 Released This April 7 for Crash Fix

Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising update 1.31 (PS5 update version 1.310) has been released on all platforms this April 7 by Cygames, fixing a crash bug introduced in the last update.

Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising Update 1.31 Patch Notes

PS5 Update Version 1.310

According to Cygames, this update resolves the following issue:

  • When two Vanes are fighting each other, if the opponent performs the light, medium, or heavy version of One for All and then the player connects with an ultimate Arm Destruction at the same time, it will cause the game to crash.

Don’t expect much beyond the listed fix above, as Cygames confirmed last week that they would be releasing a patch focused on fixing this issue.

Stellar Blade Director Defends Eve Character Design From Western Media Pundits

If you’ve seen gameplay footage or played the demo for Stellar Blade, chances are you’ve noticed that Eve, which is the protagonist in the action game, doesn’t look like she’s fighting hordes of enemies, but rather, looks like she’s ready to pose for a swimsuit photoshoot or something.

This hasn’t escaped the eye of Western media outlets and gamers, as some have expressed displeasure at how developer Shift Up has seemingly sexualized Eve. This concern hasn’t gone by unnoticed by Shift Up, as studio CEO Kim Hyeong-tae has commented about it in a recent interview by Japanese site Ruliweb.

Below is Kim’s answer (as translated by Google).

Q: Relatedly, some Western media outlets expressed discomfort with the portrayal of female characters in ‘Stella Blade’. Are you aware of these issues?

Kim : I know that in the West, game characters must reflect realistic appearances in many ways and that numerous issues such as gender and racial diversity are intertwined. However, ‘Stellar Blade’ is only entertainment and a cultural product. I hope you’ll keep an eye on this as a fun action game has just been released.

Personally, I understand where Kim is coming from. Even if you don’t agree with his design decisions, it’s perfectly fine, but it’s also OK for the studio to design the character the way they want to, no?

In the grand scheme of things, it doesn’t affect gameplay at all, and how it plays should be what’s important.

In other Stellar Blade news, Shift Up has revealed that New Game Plus and more costumes are part of the game’s post-release plans.

Stellar Blade launches this April 26 exclusively on the PS5.

Predecessor Interview With Omeda Studios – Paragon Reborn and the Changes Powering It

Predecessor is Omeda Studios’ upcoming take on the third-person action MOBA, building on the foundations of Epic Games’ short-lived Paragon, an action-based take on the genre that was shelved for the studio to focus on Fortnite. Right at the time of the global open beta launch, we managed to ask Robbie Singh, CEO at Omeda Studios, some questions about the genesis of the game and the plans for the future.

MP1st: Were you a player of the original Paragon? Why did you decide to take on the task of creating a MOBA game based on Paragon instead of creating one entirely from scratch?

Robbie Singh (CEO at Omeda Studios): Oh yes. Quick background on me is before starting this I was a content creator on YouTube and Twitch, and I was actually the biggest content creator for Paragon. I was already making a lot of content on the game, I had built a pretty large community around the game, and when Epic Games decided to shut down Paragon to focus on Fortnite, I thought “Hey, I am the biggest content creator on this space, I think I have some pretty cool ideas on what a next-generation MOBA could look like,” and so that was kind of my idea behind starting this project.

MP1st: Did it come as a shock to you when Epic Games decided to shut down Paragon? Did you find it to be somewhat of a unique game at the time?

Robbie Singh: Yes, definitely. It was a pretty big shock, I thought that Paragon brought something very unique to the MOBA genre. A lot of companies were making League-esque, top-down perspective games and Paragon was a very unique take. That was what really drew me towards it, it didn’t really follow the rules and the underlying systems on MOBAs, it felt very much like an action game.

Predecessor Interview

MP1st: What makes Predecessor different from other attempts at bringing Paragon back to life, such as Paragon: The Overprime?

Robbie Singh: I think that the key thing for us has always been that we wanted to focus on the gameplay, making sure that in itself it is really cool to experience, really fun for players, and focusing on the moment-to-moment combat that I think players really enjoy about Predecessor. That really sets us apart, we put a lot of time and effort into polishing our heroes, making sure the mechanics feel really good, and so that’s the thing that sets us apart not only from other people that are trying to do similar things, but the MOBA genre in general, where a lot of the top-down games, as great as they are, don’t feel super immersive in the action. I don’t think they get the adrenaline going like this does, and we really wanted to double-down on those things.

MP1st: Did you plan for Predecessor to go free-to-play right from the start, or is this something you decided to change as development progressed?

Robbie Singh: That was definitely something that we thought about right from the start. The MOBA genre has always been dominated by free-to-play titles and you do need to be a free-to-play game to at least participate in the genre, so we always built it with free-to-play in mind. Our focus early on though was that we’re going to do a paid Early Access so we can iterate with a small amount of people and really refine the product before going into open beta. And now that we’re in open beta, we’re expanding that pool of players and continue iterating on the product, but we also believe it is in a really great spot, with people doing tournaments every week and that gave us a lot of encouragement to release the open beta.

Predecessor Interview

MP1st: What can we expect in terms of post-launch content, especially new heroes? Any schedule for new releases that you can give us?

Robbie Singh: We have new heroes coming very soon, there will be another new hero launching April 9th, shortly after that there will be an update to the item system, three weeks after we have another new hero coming out, and we have a new game mode launching. We try to drop a new hero every six weeks, and as we get closer to our global full launch, we start to increase that cadence, and we have a ranked mode coming out in a couple of months.

MP1st: What are the main features that you feel a third-person MOBA brings over the more common isometric MOBAs such as League of Legends and other games, apart from the obvious action focus?

Robbie Singh: I would say one of the things we’ve done as well is really ensure that Predecessor is a game that can be played anywhere, by everyone. It’s available on PC and console, and of course it will be available on Xbox fully cross-play, that’s something that doesn’t exist for League of Legends and Dota. I think that was one of the goals we had as well – the game needs to be free and it also needs to be accessible by as many people as possible, because we think a game like this really resonates with console players. A lot of the greatest PlayStation and Xbox titles have been third-person games and this really fits well with that audience.

Predecessor Interview

MP1st: When Paragon launched, it had some fairly steep system requirements. Did you do any sort of optimization for this launch to make sure it runs in fairly modest specs?

Robbie Singh: We’ve done a lot of optimization on our side, but Epic also has optimized the Unreal Engine, and we’ve moved to Unreal Engine 5 as well. There’s been optimization on both ends, and the game runs on PlayStation 4 as well. Obviously, we recommend playing on the newest generation of consoles for the best experience, but the game will definitely run on lower-spec machines and it scales up accordingly.

We’d like to thank Omeda Studios for taking time out of their schedule to answer our questions.

Grand Theft Auto 6: Troy Baker Confirms He’s Not Involved With the Project

For those who watched the Grand Theft Auto 6 reveal trailer and thought that Jason, the name of the main protagonist along with Lucia, sounded a bit like Troy Baker (The Last of Us), well, we can now confirm that the prolific actor won’t be in GTA 6!

This was confirmed by Baker himself when he appeared in an interview with YouTube channel The Movie Dweeb. In the chat, Baker refutes any rumor that surfaced and adds, “That right there is a lesson in perception. So people think, and they automatically assume…I want that guy, whomever he is, to get credit for his work; I’m sure it’s going to be great.”

For now, Rockstar Games has not named any of the character voice actors, which isn’t surprising, as the studio tends to lock info down when it comes to (arguably) gaming’s biggest franchise. We have quite a long way to go, a GTA 6 is slated for a vague 2025 release, and that’s provided it doesn’t get delayed.

PC gamers, it seems Rockstar is following its tradition of releasing their games on consoles first, and on PC after. No confirmation of this has been made just yet, but the reveal only lists the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles, and has no mention of a PC version whatsoever.

While Grand Theft Auto 6 was revealed just four months ago, a massive leak occurred in 2022 where gameplay footage for the game leaked even before its official revealed. Alongside that, a ton of info regarding weapons, gameplay mechanics and more have also surfaced too.

While Studio Wildcard just released the Scorched Earth update a few days ago, players have the next big thing to look forward to, and it’s “The Center” free expansion! Not only will it feature a new map, but the Shastasaurus will be released alongside it as well, and will be available on June 3.

Here’s part of the announcement where Studio Wildcard also states that the dev team is divided into squashing Scorched Earth bugs, while others are working on the upcoming free Aberration expansion. However, most of the devs will be working on The Center.

“Mark your calendars, because on June 3rd, we’re releasing The Center with Shastasaurus! This free expansion is like a whole new ARK world – double the size of The Island, that gorgeous Tolkien-fantasy feel, and tons of new surprises for you to uncover. In the meantime, you’ll find us split up, tackling everything to make ARK: Survival Ascended its best. Some of us will be squashing Scorched Earth bugs, others are diving into the world of our upcoming free Aberration expansion, but the main force is powering through to bring you the epicness of The Center on June 3rd.”

No word on additional fixes or if more servers will be added, but once we know more, we’ll let our readers know. Chances are, we’ll be getting more teases and other announcements regarding The Center in the coming weeks leading up to launch, so stay tuned.

Splinter Cell Remake Might Be Getting Teased by Ubisoft Ahead of June Showcase

Announced two years ago, Ubisoft has been quiet when it comes to Splinter Cell Remake news, but it looks like that could be changing soon.

Over on Twitter/X, Ubisoft Toronto, the studio behind the upcoming remake, has changed its profile banner to that of the Sam Fisher’s familiar three-eyed goggles with the familiar green lights.

This was also the case for the studio’s Facebook page as well:

While I realize we might be grasping at straws here, the fact that this profile picture change comes just a day after Ubisoft announced a new Ubisoft Forward event for June 10 probably means something. I mean, what better way to charge up your showcase by revealing gameplay and maybe a release date for the long-awaited game, right?

According to Ubisoft, the Splinter Cell Remake will rework the original game’s story to fit a more “modern audience.” If you’re worried that this might deviate a bit much from the franchise’s gameplay, don’t be, as Ubisoft also confirmed that the core experience will remain faithful to the original material.

For those not familiar with the franchise, the first Splinter Cell game was released back in 2002, and was seen as a competitor of the Metal Gear Solid franchise given the two franchise’s focus on stealth-action. While we’ve seen multiple sequels with Pandora Tomorrow, Chaos Theory, Double Agent, and Conviction, the game’s last mainline entry was Splinter Cell: Blacklist released in 2013, which also brought back the asymmetrical multiplayer mode Spies vs. Mercs.

Could we be getting new Splinter Cell Remake news in June? I wouldn’t bet against it.

Modern Warfare 3 and Current Warzone Have More Active Players Year-on-Year Than Last COD Iteration

It looks like the latest Call of Duty game, Modern Warfare 3, and the current version of Warzone are scoring big with gamers, as it seems to have amassed more game time than the Call of Duty game from last year.

This was confirmed by an Activision representative in a statement, saying that more people are playing the latest Call of Duty (Modern Warfare 3) compared to the previous one (Modern Warfare 2).

“We’re having a blast supporting the community across Call of Duty. The teams have had fun connecting with our players and creating high-quality, new experiences for them. Player engagement is up with more players playing now than this time last year.”

Unfortunately, no numbers were released, so we don’t even know if this means the numbers are drastically higher or what. It is important to note that Modern Warfare 2 was crafted by Infinity Ward, while Sledgehammer Games is the main studio behind MW3. Thankfully, Modern Warfare 3 dropped the slower pace Infinity Ward’s last two Call of Duty games preferred, which meant running and gunning is a valid style of play once again.

Activision has been consistent in its support of both Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, as just last week, the big Season 3 patch was dropped which introduced new maps, weapons and more into the game.

Report: Xbox Showcase 2024 Planned for June 9, Will Feature New Gears of War Game, Call of Duty 2024 and More

Following Ubisoft’s announcement that a new digital show is set for June 10, it seems Microsoft is set to have their own Xbox Showcase for 2024 a day earlier, as a new report states that it’s currently set to air on June 9!

This new report comes from The Verge’s Tom Warren, who has been very reliable on these things, and is not your typical leaker or “insider.” According to the report, the Xbox Showcase for this year will feature a new Gears of War game, and also release dates for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Avowed, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and even Call of Duty.

Of course, while Warren is as reliable as they come, this is still unconfirmed news, so take it with a pinch of salt. Mind, we are expecting Microsoft to host an Xbox event in June, as is the case every year, so we’re not surprised at this leak at all.

We are excited for a new Gears of War game to be announced given its one of the flag bearers when it comes to Xbox exclusives. The last Gears game, simply titled “Gears 5,” was released back in 2019. It’s now been close to five years since a new one has been revealed, and I think the time is ripe. Wil it be a reboot? Maybe a continuation? We’ll know for sure in a few months’ time…provided the info doesn’t leak first.

Report: Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Future Seasons to Feature Batman, Deathstroke, and More

Despite Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s mediocre reception and disappointing new season, Rocksteady and Warner Bros. still have a lot of things planned for the game’s future. According to a reputable leaker, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s future seasons will feature the return of Batman and the introduction of Deathstroke, bring an end to the Braniac storyline, and more.

This should go without saying, but this post may contain story spoilers for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Consider yourself warned.

These leaks come by way of Miller Ross, a reputable leaker whose information we’ve featured on MP1st numerous times before. After WB Games struck down a player’s tweet that showcased a hacker revealing Deathstroke as a future character, Ross took to the platform to share what he knows of the game’s future:

According to his thread, which skips a couple of seasons, Suicide Squad’s 4th season will feature the return of Batman, rescued from a “medieval-themed Elseworld.” He’ll join The Flash and Green Lantern to help continue the fight against Braniac. Ross also confirmed that the late Kevin Conroy’s voice lines have already been recorded for the character’s return.

This season, set to start in January 2025, will also feature the return of Deathstroke from Rocksteady’s previous Arkham titles. The masked assassin will be introduced as an ally of Amanda Waller’s, having already killed two Braniacs on his own. All of this will lead into the game’s 5th and, according to Ross, final season, which will see the Justice League reformed and allied with ARGUS to finally defeat Braniac once and for all.

Ross also confirmed that he’d heard talk of other potential playable characters following the conclusion of the Braniac arc:

While some of these characters would be welcome additions to the roster, it might be pointless getting your hopes up to play them. The odds of the game receiving updates beyond the conclusion of the Braniac arc is unlikely given its lackluster sales and poor reception. Regardless, it’s intriguing to see the potential for a game that could have been so much more.

As always, take these leaks with a grain of salt, as there’s no way to verify them. Even if Ross is correct (which he often is), Rocksteady and WB Games could always change things up between when Ross heard this information and the actual release dates of the in-game seasons in question.

To keep up to date on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League future seasons, stay tuned in to us here at MP1st.

Game the night away!
