EA Sports FC 24 Gameplay Deep Dive Details HyperMotionV, PlayStyles, and the Frostbite Engine

After revealing the official EA Sports FC 24 gameplay trailer, cover athlete, and game features, EA isn’t done yet. Now, the developers have released another video that details all of the stuff shown in the previous gameplay trailer. The EA Sports FC 24 gameplay deep dive gives us a closer insight into the HyperMotionV, different playstyles, and how the Frostbite engine does its magic.

Check out the latest EA Sports FC 24 gameplay deep dive right here:

The gameplay deep dive is broken into chapters that cover the HyperMotionV technology, different PlayStyles, and Frostbite engine respectively.

Here’s a short description of everything that is discussed:

  • HyperMotionV:

HyperMotionV captures the game as it’s truly played, using volumetric data from more than 180 professional men’s and women’s football matches to influence player movements in-game. This unlocks authentic full-team movement as well as 1,200 signature run styles so fans can experience the unique ways that top players move.

  • PlayStyles:

PlayStyles dimensionalise athletes, going beyond overall ratings to bring to life the on-pitch abilities that make players special. PlayStyles comes from real-world player data from Opta and other sources, giving players unique capabilities that make their way of playing look and feel more authentic. PlayStyles+ enhance those signature abilities to world-class standard—think Haaland’s Power Shot—reflecting elite players’ abilities to play at a level that few others can reach.

  • Frostbite Engine:

The enhanced Frostbite Engine delivers The World’s Game in lifelike detail, bringing a new level of immersion to each match. All-new SAPIEN character technology transforms the way players look and move with realistically redesigned player models that are 10x more anatomically precise and correct down to the smallest detail, and GPU cloth stretches and ripples to showcase more athleticism, making every slide and every celebration more like real-world football.

EA Sports FC shoots out on September 24 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

First Watch has released Rogue Company update 2.27 (PS5 version 1.000.059) and brings the new DLC character named Vivi. Read on for what’s new in the Rogue Company July 18 patch notes.

Rogue Company Update 2.27 Patch Notes | Rogue Company Update 1.000.0059 Patch Notes:

Patch notes updated:

[BIO]

Vivi, a rock star with exceptional talent and widespread fame in the music industry, bought her way into Rogue Company by providing them with valuable intel on a Jackal infiltrator. Her proactive, impulsive, and adrenaline-fueled personality is infectious and inspires her Rogue Company teammates to push beyond their limits and achieve victory.

[DESIGNER NOTES ON GAMEPLAY EXPERIENCE]

ViVi is a rockstar rogue that’s ready to shake up the scene by rallying her team during engagements and then sliding through the frontline and shredding with her Dual Boyar SMGs. Stage Presence allows ViVi to boost her allies’ health and movement before breaching a position to give her team the edge, or while breaching to help give those allies some breathing room. Smooth Moves will help her slice and dice the combat field and quickly make her presence felt during a team fight!

[ABILITY AND PASSIVE]

  • Ability: Stage Presence
Stage Presence is an area-of-effect buff for teammates within 20 meters of ViVi.
  • The effects of the ability are as follows:
    • The range of the ability is 20 meters.
    • Stage Presence heals and/or overheals affected allies (depending on their current health) for 30hp, with the overheal decaying at 5hp/second.
    • Grants affected allies 10% movement speed for 10 seconds.

  • Passive: Smooth Moves
Smooth Moves is a modifier to her dodge roll. While sprinting, ViVi can activate dodge roll to enter a powerslide that allows her to hip fire while sliding. Enemy rogues will need to adjust their positioning in the presence of ViVi to account for her ability to slide around corners and pressure sensitive angles for her team.

[LOADOUT]

  • New! Dual Boyar SMGs
  • Riptide AR

Secondary Weapon:

  • LW6 Revolver

  • Rate of Fire (AoS): 1,125 RPM (75% of Hipfire)
  • Range: 9m
  • Mag Size: 40 rounds
  • Reload Time: 3.4 seconds

Epic:

  • Increases damage range from 9m -> 11m

[DESIGNER NOTES ON GAMEPLAY EXPERIENCE]

The Dual Boyar SMGs are equipped with an extraordinarily high rate-of-fire and a dual function to assist them in mid-range engagements. While hip-firing at close ranges they should shred opponents in a storm of bullets. The Boyars also feature a dual functionality where they fire at 75% of their rate of fire while aiming over shoulder in exchange for incredible accuracy. This should put them in a strong position for dueling assault rifles and longer range SMGs in the mid-range.

NEW LTM: SIGNATURE PERKS

Currently, all perks are character-neutral. We want to test out how character-specific perks will feel! Gl1tch, Dima, ViVi, Fixer, and Scorch are featured in this Rooftops-only King of the Hill mode, and include two perks that juice up their active or passive abilities, or encourage a new play-style.

BALANCE CHANGES

ROGUES

  • Fixer
As a design rule, we are evaluating mechanics that allow Rogues to straight up ignore mechanics of other Rogues *COUGH COUGH LOOKING AT YOU RONIN* . We don’t believe this is making the game more fun and interactive for players who get counter-picked. While this change should barely be noticed against rare armor foes, it gives opponents with epic and legendary armor a moment more breathing room in engagements versus Fixer. Below is an illustration of how we thought about the effects of this change.

    • Full Metal Jacket (passive): Armor ignore 100% → 70%.

  • Dima
Given his kit synergy with explosives, we want to test the effect of an impact grenade on his ability to clear space for his team.

    • EMP Grenade replaced with Impact Grenade

KNOWN ISSUES

  • We are continuing to investigate server issues causing matches failing to kick off
  • We are continuing to investigate server desync issues during matches
  • Cannon – Rogue Rank reward skin failing to load into matches

FIXED ISSUES

  • Fixed an issue that would allow gadget stockpiling in some game modes
  • Addressed a few general performance issues players may have been experiencing

KNOWN ISSUES

  • Players must login between now and Friday or may experience a loss of their loadouts and keybindings.

This bonus system is intended to compensate for the proportional decrease in utility of such actions as party size decreases.
* The effectiveness of the damage bonus will differ between roles.

Generation Zero Update 1.37 for July 18 Deployed for “Companion” Patch

Generation Zero update 1.37 has been released on all platforms by Avalanche Studios, and this is for the big “Companion” update that adds a machine companion in the form of a Runner, alongside bug fixes and more. Read on for the complete Gen Zero patch notes for July 18.

Generation Zero Update 1.37 Patch Notes | Generation Zero Companion Update Patch Notes | Generation Zero July 18 Patch Notes:

THE COMPANION

This adorable Runner will support you in your fight against the Machines.
In the new mission “Making Friends”, which you can pick up at the Vesslan Bunker Warboard, you’ll venture out into the world to find out about the Companion.
After that, you’ll have your very own machine friend who will assist you in combat!
You can change its name, weapons, color scheme and even the voice it uses to communicate with you.

We’re so happy to fulfill this long-standing community wish. The first suggestion of a machine companion we could find was made all the way back in October 2018, during our game’s Closed Beta, by Forum user Crytical here. Since then, we’ve seen many players ask us to add a friendly machine and now it’s finally happening!

A HELPER IN COMBAT

You can equip the Runner with three different weapons: The Machine Gun, the Shotgun and the Rocket Launcher. Depending on the weapon you give it, you’ll also have to equip it with the appropriate ammo. When the Companion gets damaged, you can repair it using Repair Kits.

IT CAN CARRY IT FOR YOU, BUT IT CAN’T CARRY YOU

That’s right: It has an inventory you can store ammo, equipment or other weapons in!
It can carry up to a weight limit of 30, which is currently not upgradable, but it will take quite a … weight off your shoulders!

CUSTOMIZATION!

You can change the Companion to fit your personal preferences in multiple ways:

Renaming your Companion
A man needs a name. Give him one! You can assemble your friend’s name by choosing from three lists, each with many options for the ultimate callsign, including formal titles.

Paint Jobs
Four paint jobs are included in the free Companion Update. The latter three have to be earned from looting. The Paint Jobs are:

Resistance

Prototype

Military

FNIX

Voice Boxes
Modify the way your new friend communicates with you by switching out its Voice Box! Without the Companion Accessories DLC, you have access to:

  • “Modulator”: Beeps and boops its way straight into your heart.
  • “FNIX”: Makes the Companion sound like a FNIX runner for that familiar soundscape.

Light Kits
By default, your runner will have the normal machine light color scheme of a runner: White in neutral state, orange when it’s searching for enemies and red during combat. You’re not stuck with that, though! Feel free to switch it up with two more light kits:

  • “Hazard”
  • “Search”

AVAILABLE NOW AND FOR EVERYONE!

We’re so happy to be able to offer this amazing new feature for you to play with. Please let us know what you think on our Social Media channels!

COMPANION ACCESSORIES PACK DLC

This paid DLC allows you to customize your Companion even further. We’ve made sure to pack plenty of awesome content into this one so you get enough bang – or in this case, flash – for your buck! Here’s what you can expect if you go the extra mile to support the continued development of Generation Zero:

5 EXTRA PAINT JOBS

  • Grand Prix
  • Bubblegum
  • Black Fire
  • Blue Thunder
  • Mecha Monster

3 EXTRA VOICE BOXES

  • Digi-dog
  • Speak & Learn
  • Astrid

3 EXTRA LIGHT KITS

  • Toxic Glow
  • Hazed
  • Neon

3 MODULES FOR A CUSTOM GAMEPLAY APPROACH

The Companion Accessories DLC also gives you access to an entirely new customization option: Modules. These give your Companion additional capabilities when equipped.

Scavenger Module
Allows your companion to collect items from defeated enemies into its inventory.

Medic Module
Allows your companion to use medical supplies from its inventory to heal you when you’re injured.

Spotter Module
Allows your companion to mark enemies during combat, causing them to take extra damage.

3 TYPES OF ARMOR TO EQUIP

These extra platings will allow your friend to stay in combat without needing to be repaired for even longer!

Ballistic Plate Armor

Reduces damage taken from bullets

Concussive Plate Armor

Reduces damage taken from explosions

Fire Retardant Armor

Reduces damage taken from fire

MORE SOON!

Thank you for your continued support of Generation Zero. Our Community has been growing for the last 4 years and we’re so fortunate to be able to make a game we love for people who love it just as much.

We’re entering a period of Summer vacations now, so our Devs can get some well deserved rest before tackling the second half of the year.
As for our plans, we’ll be working on a public roadmap for the rest of the year, as well as writing a Dev Letter about how roadmaps are made and why it takes so much effort and time to craft one.
We hope you enjoy this summer and look forward to getting back to work as soon as we can! We have many more things to show you in the future, but for now, let’s leave it at that!

Stay hydrated and keep a lookout for evil machines,
The Generation Zero Dev Team

BUG FIXES

Crafting

  • [Community Reported] Fixed a bug where the UI would display billions of schematic points earned and the actual schematic points amount would become negative. Since unfortunately there is no way to know how many points each player had before this bug appeared, those already affected by this have been set back to 0 schematic points.Machines
  • [Community Reported] Fixed a bug where the Tank, Harvester and Wolf wouldn’t use their Stomp attack.
  • [Community Reported] Fixed a bug where looting an already owned clothing item using “Loot all” would make the entire loot disappear. This was most prevalent in the Reaper’s loot and known as the “Reaper Loot bug”. Begone!
  • Minor visual fixes to the armor on the Prototype TankArt
  • Fixed an issue that would keep the Motorbikes’ lights from displaying correctlyEquipment and Weapons
  • [Community Reported] Fixed a bug where shock ammo didn’t create arcs when attached to a machine, lowering its damage output significantly.
  • [Community Reported] Fixed some throwables only lasting for half of their intended time after being thrown.
  • [Community Reported] Fixed the Homing Turrets projectile flying circles around certain enemies. The Homing Turret’s rockets can now rotate and adjust their trajectory faster in order to adapt to and hit moving targets.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented ammo from applying the Experimental AG4 signature fire DoTGameplay
  • Fixed a bug where holding down handbrake + reverse while on a motorbike resulted in forward movement and a jittering animation.Mission
  • Weekly procedural missions no longer appear more often than intended.Challenges
  • Fixed a bug where Archipelago missions would sometimes not count towards the “Important Public Announcement” challengeUI
  • Preview images of the DLC Schematics from the first column didn’t match the icons. Now they do!

That’s about it. Once a new update is released, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.
