Rainbow Six Siege Update 2.76 Fires Out for Hotfix This May 14

Following the Year 9 Season 1.3 title update released last week, Ubisoft has pushed out Rainbow Six Siege update 2.76 (R6 Siege update version 1.000.079 on PS5), and this is a minor patch that resolves crashing issues for console players.

Here’s what’s been fixed per Ubisoft:

  • This title update released on May 14 is the recent hotfix released on PC, and aims to resolve a crash on launch for returning players.

That’s about it. There doesn’t seem to be any front-facing changes that players will notice based on what we know so far.

There’s also a big anti-cheat update for this month, which the devs talk about in detail here. While this is a minor update, there’s a ton more content headed to the game this year.

Destiny 2 Servers Brought Down for Maintenance This May 14

Guardians having a hard time logging in or experiencing issues, it’s not just you, as Bungie has brought the Destiny 2 servers offline this May 14, and this is to bring in patch 7.3.6.5 into the game.

Update: Bungie has confirmed that downtime for Destiny 2 has been extended!

Tuesday, May 14, 2024 – Maintenance
6:00 AM PDT -7 UTC
    • Destiny 2 will undergo maintenance.
    • Sign-on and game integration features will be unavailable on web, mobile, third-party apps, and the Bungie Store.
    • Players who observe issues should report to the #Help forum.
6:45 AM PDT -7 UTC
    • Destiny 2 will be brought offline for expected maintenance.
    • Players will be removed from activities and won’t be able to log back in until 10 AM PDT.
    • Ongoing Destiny maintenance is expected to conclude at 12 PM PDT.
10:00 AM PDT -7 UTC
    • The latest Destiny 2 update will be available across all platforms and regions.
    • Players will be able to log back into Destiny 2.
    • Players logging into the game may be placed in a queue and may experience sign-on issues as background maintenance is still ongoing.
    • Clan features may remain offline until maintenance is complete.
12:00 PM PDT -7 UTC
    • Destiny 2 maintenance is expected to conclude.
    • Console players who encounter issues updating should restart their console and try downloading the update.
    • Players who observe issues should report to the #Help forum.

DayZ 1.25 Experimental Update 3 Pushed Out for May 14

While Bohemia Interactive has already released the DayZ Experimental Update 1.25 patch notes last month, the studio is still constantly tweaking the patch before it’s deployed on live servers. For today, Bohemia has pushed out DayZ 1.25 Experimental Update 3 on both PC and Xbox.

Sony Teases Event, States We Will Know More About the “Long-Term Vision” of PlayStation Later This Month

With rumors swirling about that Sony is planning a PlayStation showcase (or State of Play) this month, it seems the company has confirmed that there is something happening later this month and yes, it involves Sony Interactive Entertainment which is the division that handles and operates PlayStation.

This was revealed in Sony’s company message by interim president Hiroki Totoki where the following statement was included:

Later this month you will learn more about the long-term vision for Sony Group and the essential role SIE plays in that vision. As I mentioned previously, FY24 marks the start of the Mid-Range Plan period for Sony Group in which we will set the course for sustainable growth.

While it’s not specified if this is a PlayStation State of Play or another type of show, it does confirm that we’re getting an announcement of sorts this month.

We’re hoping it includes game reveals for projects set to be released soon, as the PS5 2024 games lineup seems to be a bit barren, and we don’t even know what’s in store for 2025 as well.

Texas Chain Saw Massacre Update 1.000.020 Brings Nancy’s House at Night and More This May 14

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre update 1.000.020 (will appear as version 1.18 for PS4 gamers), is now live on all platforms, and this brings not only gameplay changes, but also Nancy’s House – Night that brings storms on the map! This storm element will be introduced in other maps in the future, but for now, Nancy’s House is the first one to feature it.

Texas Chain Saw Massacre Update 1.000.020 Patch Notes for May 14:

Our team has been looking into making lobbies run smoother for all players. We have made some adjustments here, turned a few knobs there, and continue to work on our system. While we continue to look into providing a better lobby experience for our players, we are introducing a critical change to this system.

For this patch, we will be applying a three (3) minute timeout to players who

  • Choose to leave a public lobby on purpose after prompted with an exit pop up

  • Disconnect from the server while in a public lobby

  • Close out of the game while in a public lobby (i.e. Alt- F4)

PATCH NOTES

Fixed: Nancy’s Endurance

  • We have fixed an issue where no amount of Endurance Attribute Points on Nancy altered her melee attack stamina usage

  • Endurance now works properly on Nancy

Fixed: Boon and Bone Scraps

  • We have fixed the issue where using Boon to silence Nugget would deplete a bone scrap in a player’s inventory

  • Boon will no longer remove a bone scrap from a player’s inventory when silencing Nugget

Fixed: Virginia Exploit

  • We fixed an issue where Virginia’s Boon could be used to bypass animations from Leatherface’s overhead attack or Nancy’s Barbed Wire

  • Virginia’s Boon no longer can bypass animations

There’s also a new outfit for Nancy and Johnny that’s available for $2.99 separately or $4.99 for the bundle.

That’s about it for this title update. While Gun Interactive has moved on to another project, Black Tower Studios is still working on the game’s adjustments and even post-launch content.

Fortnite Update 4.25 Deployed for Fixes This May 14 (Update)

Epic Games has pushed out Fortnite update 4.25 (PS5 update version 1.000.137), which is an unannounced patch that should deal with the issues the game has been suffering from the past few days. Read on for the fixes and the known issues the dev team is currently tackling.

Update: As expected, today’s patch is to resolve the issue regarding the Yoda Back Bling! Expect it to be available again starting tomorrow, May 15.

So far, Epic has not revealed the official changelog for today’s patch, but we’ve included

Check out the known issues the dev team is investigating and working on below via the official Fortnite Trello board. We are expecting some of the issues below to be part of the fixes for today’s title update. Note that for the issues tagged with “fixed in live,” we’ve decided not to included it in the list.

GENERAL TOP ISSUES:

  • Players may be unable to use their driving controls when attempting to drive a Vehicle.
  • May experience hitches when opening the Emote Wheel

BATTLE ROYALE TOP ISSUES:

  • Vehicles do not properly say “NO GAS” when without fuel
  • Back Bling Beacon Glass displaying incorrectly in the Locker

LEGO FORTNITE TOP ISSUES:

  • Dynamic Structure parts may displace and shift when moving fast
  • Consumable buff timers can be overwritten when eating another consumable with a buff
  • Villagers exploring with players may destroy structures while trying to harvest.
  • Players are unable to sit on Seating furniture that is touching a wall
  • There is no indication of which direction some furniture is being placed
  • Some guided builds can’t be completed

ROCKET RACING TOP ISSUES:

  • Boost pads can fail to boost players when landed on
  • Sea Spray Rocket Boost (Grey) not appearing in locker
  • Vehicle spawns under the track when loading certain tracks
  • “First match protected” text is occasionally displayed after switching game modes
  • Tracks sometimes have unexpected collisions
  • Ranked quests show incomplete after reaching the next rank.
  • Vehicle appears blurry at start of race

FORTNITE FESTIVAL TOP ISSUES:

  • Controllers vibrating even though vibration is toggled off.
  • Jam Stage Mixers – Players need to equip Jam Tracks before hopping into the Jam Stage to access songs and start making music.
  • Audio Stuttering On Switch After Extended Play
  • Players will sometimes not animate on the Main Stage.
  • ‘Toggle’ custom keybind interfering with ‘Open Songlist’

SAVE THE WORLD TOP ISSUES:

  • Some text within Save The world appearing unlocalized and only in English.
  • View Distance Rendering

Conan Exiles Update 2.05 for Age of War Chapter 4 Hotfix This May 14

Conan Exiles update 2.05 is live now on all platforms, and this is for another Age of War Chapter 4 hotfix. Expect bug fixes and even slight adjustments to the Battle Pass and more, with the full details available in the official patch notes.

Battle Pass/Bazaar

  • Improved visual effects (VFX) for Yamatai Onsen Water Pump.
  • Arcane Reinforced Doorframe is now correctly granted from the Arcane Builder Revisited bundle upon purchase.
  • Normalized HP values on parts of the Arcane Builder Revisited bundle that were unintentionally set too high.

Bugs and Tweaks

  • Thrall Command and Interact inputs are no longer mapped to the same button as interacting with Battle Pass notifications. The Battle Pass shortcut on Tier Completion popups now opens with the Inventory button.
  • Improved animations for golem movement and combat.
  • Friendly followers have received further ‘If not enemy, why enemy shaped’ training and no longer attack allied golems.
  • Fixed certain items missing the option to Repair, such as Redeemed Legion armor.
    • Note: You still need to know the recipe for an item in order to repair it, but this should now function properly, as well as within Creative Mode or when the UnlockAllRecipes admin cheat is enabled.
  • Split stack window triggers on long press rather than press and release.
  • Fixed issue where player is not able to Shift-Click an item from another player’s inventory into their own.
  • Fixed several additional areas where players can fall through the world and die.
  • Fixed framerate issues when dropping items from inventory on PS4.
  • Fixed issue where a game’s host becomes stuck when respawning after removing their bracelet.
  • Fixed issue where Option button indent boxes disappear when nothing is selected in inventory.
  • Logged out unconscious players now display their name when inspected.
  • Gazelles once again know fear and flee from danger.

Funcom adds, “We are aware of and continuing to investigate an issue where characters may periodically sink into building pieces. Due to the delicate nature of foundations and sensitivity to changes that affect them (if you know, you know :disappointed_relieved:), a fix for this issue will arrive with a future patch. Thank you for your patience; we understand it’s frustrating.”

The Division 2 Update 1.70 for Title Update 20.4 Drops This May 14

Ubisoft has pushed out The Division 2 update 1.70 on all platforms this May 14 during the game’s server maintenance. This is for what the studio calls Title Update 20.4, though it’s not a significant patch in terms of changes.

The Division 2 Update 1.70 for TU 20.4 Patch Notes:

The only confirmed fix mentioned by Ubisoft so far is:

  • Addressing an issue in photo mode that caused functionality loss after one capture.

While that might be the only fix listed, the game still has a fair number of issues being worked on which are listed below (via the official The Division 2 Trello board):

INVESTIGATING:

  • [Vanity] Exclamation mark in the Apparel menu constantly present
  • [Vanity] The Dragov Headgear is missing from the Dragov Bundle.
  • [Manhunt] The Vanguard backpack trophy is not received upon completing the Y5S3 Manhunt
  • [Gameplay] Losing one bullet and reloading every time player changes weapons
  • [Manhunt] The Hunter Mask is not received upon completing the Y5S3 Manhunt.

IN-PROGRESS:

  • The agent’s sprint stopping and cover-to-cover animations skip a few frames, making it feel abrupt.
  • [Manhunt] No objective is displayed for the player to go to NY.
  • [Global Event] Green cloud in the Reanimated GE deals corrosive damage to friendly NPCs and structures.
  • [Gear] [UI] When Palisade Steelworks is selected as targeted loot, Named Items that drop alongside it also have the Palisade Steelworks Icon in the Loot Pillar.
  • [Skills] Rogue Agents deploy two turrets at the same time.
  • [Vanity] The last Vanity Appearance mod equipped will be persistent on the character even if the Gear equipped has another Vanity Appearance Mod
  • [Vanity] Vanity Appearance mod unequipping randomly
  • [Gear] The Preservation Talent can be triggered by status effect damage-over-time kills

Arrowhead Game Studios has pushed out Helldivers 2 update 1.000.304 on PC and PS5, and this is primarily for crash issues and other fixes, detailed in the official patch notes below alongside the known issues, and even the file size.

Overview

For this patch, we have made improvements and changes to the following areas:

  • Crash fixes
  • Misc fixes

Fixes

Crashes

  • Fixed a crash triggered when the host left after a player hot joined.
  • Fixed an occasional crash in Loadout menu.
  • Fix for a rare crash when transitioning to or from the ship

Misc Fixes

  • Fixed players getting stuck on the mission summary screen when the host leaves.
  • Fixed the issue of non-purchased Super Credits not being visible in the Warbond Overview screen (only relevant for Japanese release).
  • Optional account linking now available in the Account section of the in-game settings.
  • Fixed ‘Steam AppId supplied invalid or not allowed’ being shown due to a different error.
  • Fix attachments on weapons showing up as purple question marks in the tutorial in some cases.
  • Airburst proximity explosion is now triggered only by enemies & Helldivers.
  • The AR-61 Tenderizer now has the correct color scheme.

Known Issues

These are issues that were either introduced by this patch and are being worked on, or are from a previous version and have not yet been fixed.

  • Players may not have the option to send, accept or decline friend requests.
  • Players may not have the option to Block other players.
  • Blocked players are not added to the Blocked Player list or prevented from joining games.
  • Game may crash if the player changes the text language while on a mission.
  • Players may experience delays in Medals and Super Credits payouts.
  • Players may occasionally receive excessive XP.
  • Enemies that bleed out do not progress Personal Orders and Eradicate missions.
  • Arc weapons sometimes behave inconsistently and sometimes misfire.
  • Most weapons shoot below the crosshair when aiming down the sights.
  • AR-61 Tenderizer deals too little damage and is not in the final state we are intending.
  • Spear’s targeting is inconsistent, making it hard to lock-on to larger enemies.
  • Stratagem beam might attach itself to an enemy but it will deploy to its original location.
  • Helldiver may be unable to stand up from crouching when surrounded by enemies.
  • “Hand Carts” Ship module does not reduce Shield Generator Pack’s cooldown.
  • Some players might become stuck in the Loadout when joining a game in progress.
  • Reinforcement may not be available for some players who join a game in progress.
  • Planet liberation reaches 100% at the end of every Defend mission.

This patch roll out comes hot at the heels of Sony’s announcement that Helldivers 2 sales have now topped over 12 million units across PC and PS5!

Helldivers 2 Sales Reaches Over 12 Million Units Worldwide

Sony has officially made an announcement on Helldivers 2’s sales numbers, and have confirmed the multiplayer shooter has now reached over 12 million unit sales across PS5 and PC!

The number was revealed as part of Sony’s quarterly earnings report where Sony Interactive Entertainment Interim CEO Hiroki Totoki made the announcement. To date, Helldivers 2 has no surpassed the record set by God of War Ragnarok in the same period after its release in 2022, though Helldivers 2 does benefit from releasing on PC, while Ragnarok was only available on PS4 and PS5. Arrowhead’s latest game release is the biggest PC title to date, and also contributed heavily to Sony’s sales and profit in the fourth quarter fiscal year which ended March 31, 2024.

This latest sales milestone was made public just a week after the big controversy regarding the game, as Sony wanted to require PC players on Steam to mandatory create and link a PlayStation Network account. As one might expect, this did not go over well with gamers, as the game got review bombed and more. Thankfully, after a ton of backlash, Sony went back on its requirement.

With how Arrowhead has been throwing support and focusing on a player-first approach to Helldivers 2, I wouldn’t be surprised to see it hit the 15-million sales mark soon.

Ghost of Tsushima Update 2.20 Dashes Out for Crossplay Adjustments This May 14

Following the patch to add in crossplay support released two weeks ago, Sucker Punch Productions has released Ghost of Tsushima update 2.20 (PS5 version 2.020), which adds further adjustments to crossplay in preparation for the PC version launching this May 16.

So far, the only acknowledgement from Sucker Punch about the patch is the announcement below:

There doesn’t seem to be any front-facing changes made to the single-player or multiplayer portions of the game as far as we know. If anyone notices anything, leave a comment below and let us know.

The patch released two weeks ago not only added crossplay support, but also fixed a few bugs as well, which you can read about here.

In other Ghost of Tsushima news, the game’s PC version won’t be sold in quite a number of countries due to the PSN restriction, which are outlined here along with the country list.

Battlefield 2042 Update 1.53 for Patch 7.2.0 Deployed This May 14

DICE has pushed out Battlefield 2042 update 1.53 (PS5 update version 1.000.056), which is for what the studio calls Update 7.2.0! This brings visual weapon recoil improvements, APS Shootdown Sentinel changes and more.

This title update also brings the data for the Thousand Petals Corporation, with more details to be shared as we get nearer the event’s launch in the coming weeks.

DELIVER DEATH FROM ABOVE!

New gear means new ways to tackle the enemy, this May 14th you’ll be able to work towards unlocking the highly versatile DFR Strife LMG and the all-new cutting edge, remote-controlled aerial bomber the XFAD-4 Draugr.

Ingame progression and natural play of Control Unlocked contributes towards the unlocking of the XFAD-4 Draugr (40 Ribbons) and the DFR Strife LMG (80 Ribbons) allowing you to use these cutting edge pieces of hardware across the Battlefield.

Don’t worry if you miss out on this limited time event, as you will still be able to earn them through ingame assignments at a later date.

A NEW STRIKE TEAM IS FORMED…

Under the global assault of the Thousand Petals Coalition a new strike team has been tasked to capture and secure Arkangel assets before they fall into the hands of the Coalition.

AREAS OF IMPROVEMENTS

We believe at its current state the Attack Helicopter can easily destroy any vehicle in too short of a timeframe and we are toning that down a little by reducing the firepower of some of the more potent weapons vs armored vehicles, to address this:

  • We have lowered the damage of the TOW missile against heavy and medium armored vehicles (Tanks, Wildcat, Ram)
  • We have also lowered the damage of Anti Vehicle Rocket Pods to the same category of vehicles by 20%. We believe Attack Helicopters should still be potent and a direct counter to ground armor, however these changes are aiming to give a bigger window for ground vehicles to react and to also push pilots to make more tactical decisions when attacking vehicles.

APS Shootdown Sentinel

We are aware of the long lasting issue of vehicles camping hills and it has become a bit more exaggerated when Irish’ APS Shootdown Sentinel is included into this equation.

With Update #7.2.0 we are removing the capabilities for this Specialist Gadget to shootdown any Anti Vehicle Weapon or Gadgets. This should allow Air Vehicles and Infantry to once again attack such ground vehicles, as well as pushing the gadget itself into a more infantry-focused mentality.

This Season in general we are aiming to slightly slow down the pace of the game and the biggest offenders that can oftentimes feel like they are pushing the limits too much. We are starting with MacKay by making his gadget more defensive and strategic rather than having it as an aggressive enabler offensively.

To do that we are increasing the cooldown of the grapple from 11 seconds to 25 and we are also lowering the boost of his trait “Nimble” which grants a boost to movement speed while aiming down sights from 40% to 25%.

Additionally, in a future patch, we will be implementing a force reload animation when equipping the weapon to further emphasize the strategic use of the gadget.

Systemic repair

Continuing with the effort to slow down the pace of the game, we are increasing the time it takes for the systemic repair system to repair the health of a vehicle. The rate at which this repairs is defined by the role and class type of the vehicle in consideration with their gameplay expectations.

All vehicles beside Bolte, EBLC-Ram, the upcoming Draugr and all ground transport vehicles will repair 25HP in 8.6 seconds, up from 5 seconds. This change is meant to emphasize the role of engineers and help slow down the pace in these combat moments, where before it was possible to nullify taken damage nearly instantaneously by pressing a single button.

AI, Soldiers & General Improvements

  • Anti-Tank Mine damage has received a rebalance following recent updates, it will now take 3 Anti-Tank Mines to fully destroy a Heavy Vehicle such as a Tank or MAV. It will still remain possible to destroy Medium Armored Vehicles such as the Wildcat and EBLC-Ram with 2 Anti-Tank Mines.
  • Fixed an issue with the SOFLAM being unable to deploy on select Battlefield Portal experiences.
  • Irish’s APS-36 Shootdown Sentinel should no longer stop Underbarrel Smoke Grenades.
  • Additionally, the APS-36 Shootdown Sentinel will no longer stop Anti Vehicle Projectiles.
  • MacKay’s Nimble Trait which improves the speed of movement during ADS has been reduced from 40% to 25%.
  • Grappling Hook reload speed has now been increased from 11 seconds to 25 seconds. In a future update, we will be introducing a reload animation every time this Specialist Gadget is equipped.

Weapon Balancing

  • Despite the penguins’ continued efforts to keep them shiny, the Scope Glint on the Raven and ACOG Sights on the SVD is no more.
  • Fixed an issue with some magazines on the AK 5C that could cause their models to turn invisible.
  • Fixed the alignment of the iron sights on the AK-24 skins “Dead-Center” and “Access Memory”.
  • Fixed 12M Auto shell ejection when using the Type 4 Heavy Suppressor.
  • Fixed pellet spread on SPAS-12 (BC2/BF3) being too low.
  • The Penguins forgot to reflect the AKS-74u rate of fire change from Update 7.1 in the Collection screen, it is now accurately shown. We’ll get them notepads in the future.
  • Slightly slowed down hip fire dispersion reset on P90, PP-2000 and AKS-74u.
  • AM40 Standard Issue damage under 10 meters changed from 26 to 24.
  • AM40 dispersion and horizontal recoil increased by 5%.
  • VHX-D3 High Power ammo damage under 20 meters changed from 25 to 24.
  • LCMG dispersion when using the Shortened barrel attachment increased by 10%. This change should help balance both the attachment against other barrel options while also balancing the LCMG compared to other LMGs.

  • Removed the Gunner HUD from side passengers of Condor and HIND, going forward only the nose gunner will benefit from this.

  • Increased rudder responsiveness on 2042-era Jets which will lead to a more responsive yaw input.

Systemic Repair Changes:

  • Combat vehicles aside from Bolte, EBLC Ram and the upcoming Draugr will take 25HP in 8.6 seconds. Other vehicles will remain at 25HP in 5 seconds.
  • Increased HMG Weapon Station Velocity from 600 to 690
  • Lowered Attack Helicopter TOW Launcher damage to Main Heavy Tanks from 30 to 25 and to Medium Armor such as the Wildcat from 35 to 30. This is not a blanket change and will not impact other vehicles such as Transport or Air Vehicles
  • Helicopter Anti Vehicle Pods will deal 20% less impact damage and further blast damage reduction to Ground Armor.

TOW Balancing Changes:

  • Time to live increased from 5 to 10 seconds
  • Max speed lowered from 120 to 80
  • Turn angles and engine time to live have been adjusted for better control

Ground Vehicles

  • Turn angles and engine time to live have been adjusted for better control

Don’t forget, while Season 7 is the last season for BF2042, DICE will still support the game with patches, events and more, which is what the studio is doing now.

In other Battlefield news, EA has mentioned that the next Battlefield game is already playable, how it will be “another tremendous live service.”

Pocket Pair has pushed out Palworld update v0.2.4.0 and this out now on PC, with the Xbox version soon to follow. This brings balance changes to the game, with the full patch notes available below.

Report: Assassin’s Creed Shadows Releases Nov. 15 for Current-Gen and PC; Season Pass and Ultimate Edition Details Leak

While Ubisoft just officially confirmed the title of Assassin’s Creed Red as Assassin’s Creed Shadows today, it seems more info related to the reveal on May 15 has surfaced, and this includes the AC Shadows release date, which is now known as November 15, 2024!

This was revealed by the upcoming reveal trailer’s description that accidentally revealed the release date:

In addition to that, details about Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ Season Pass and Ultimate Edition have surfaced as well. The info comes from fraxR6 who’s a known leaker of Rainbow Six Siege info. Here are some of the details the leaker hs shared via their Telegram:

  • Priced at $40
  • Will include access to questline called “Origami Killer”
  • The Ultimate Edition gives the buyer an additional five skill points

While there hasn’t been anything official on which platforms the game will be released on, the Ubisoft Store listed it for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. It doesn’t list the Xbox One version for some reason, though reliable industry insider shinobi also clarified that it’s not coming to PS4 as well in a forum reply at ResetEra.

Not surprising given we’re quite deep in this generation of consoles already. Now, everything we’ve posted so far comes from reliable info, bear in mind that nothing here is official just yet, and as such should still be taken with a grain of salt. Chances are, the release date, Season Pass and other details will be shared this May 15.

XDefiant Libertad Class Has Sufficient Counters, No Weapon Balance Changes From Test to Launch Per Devs

For those who played the latest XDefiant server test, did you feel the Libertad class was overpowered or just right? What about the class’ ultimate ability? If you think the class is a little bit annoying with their health boosts and whatnot, you’re going to have to wait before seeing a balance pass.

Speaking to former Call of Duty pro player and now XDefiant dev Patty “ACHES” Price, we asked whether the dev team is looking to balance or have a proper counter for the Libertad class and ulti.

Patrick “Aches” Price: We kind of see that the Libertad does have sufficient counters, some that, you know, maybe players haven’t experienced yet..headshots being a massive, a massive one.

Another big thing is. Some of the other abilities and Ultras themselves being great counters, and so we haven’t seen enough data yet that that Suggests that the Libertad ultimate is unfair So that’s another thing that you know We want to get more data on and kind of be able to judge from there.

In addition to that, Aches also confirmed that there won’t be any weapon balance changes from the server test to the launch period on May 21.

MP1st: Will we see any balance changes for weapons from the test session test session to launch?

Price: No. So from the test session we just recently had, there are no planned, specific weapon balance changes coming in that time period again. Kind of the reference again from the first point is, you know, it was a short test and it was very recent and everything was unlocked. So we haven’t had the full scope of data to really make any balance changes that that we saw would be necessary.

That makes a lot of sense. As for the Libertad class, quite a number of players from the game’s subreddit and even on social media have mentioned how hard it is to take down players once the ultimate is triggered, since it gives the player a massive health boost. Check out video below as proof on how powerful it can be that you can even take on multiple enemies at once.

Based on the dev feedback we’ve gotten from the game so far, we’re expecting balance checks and adjustments to be released consistently to make sure nothing is too overpowered.

Report: Red Dead Redemption PC Release Seemingly Confirmed by Rockstar Launcher

After years of begging and a mediocre PS5/Nintendo Switch port, it looks like the fabled Red Dead Redemption PC release may finally be coming to fruition. According to the metadata of Rockstar’s launcher, the team is planning to bring the cowboy epic and its apocalyptic expansion Undead Nightmare to PC sometime in the not-too-distant future.

This news comes by way of Twitter/X user @TezFunz2, a community member notable for regularly sharing Rockstar-related content updates:

The tweet shows some metadata with a brief description that reads as follows:

“Journey across the sprawling expanses of the American West and Mexico in Red Dead Redemption, and its zombie-horror companion, Undead Nightmare[,] now playable on PC. Experience the epic Western adventures that defined a generation.”

According to Tez2, this comes from Rockstar’s launcher site file, which was just updated today. The string of text here is formatted exactly how GTA V’s description is on the back end. All of this considered, signs definitely point to Rockstar gearing up for a Red Dead Redemption PC launch.

Red Dead Redemption has long been considered one of PC’s white whales. Fans of Rockstar’s titles have wanted to experience the game on a mouse and keyboard for over a decade at this point. After so much time, it seems nearly impossible that Rockstar would still be working to port the game to computers, but here we are.

As always, this has not been officially confirmed by Rockstar yet, so exercise cautious optimism here. We’ll be sure to let our readers know as soon as we get the word that the PC version is real. Stay tuned.

Square Enix Reveals Plans to Emphasize “Multiplatform Strategy”

A recently released Square Enix financial report that covers the last fiscal year has given us a glimpse at the company’s strategy going forward. Namely, the Final Fantasy publisher aims to emphasize a “multiplatform strategy” by bringing more titles to platforms like Xbox and PC.

The financial report, which was published earlier today, discusses Square Enix’s earnings over the last fiscal year and highlights what their plans are for the near future. Their “management strategy” involves several significant changes to their outlook, including a pointed focus shift from quantity to quality. With an emphasis on making fewer, higher quality games as opposed to just cranking out as many titles as they can, Square Enix hopes to create a more long-lasting library of titles.

However, the real kicker here is the company’s transition to a multiplatform plan. A good portion of Square’s games (specifically the Final Fantasy titles) have been launched exclusively on PlayStation or the Nintendo Switch in the last several years. While these exclusivity deals aren’t uncommon, they seem to have created a problem, as the company is now switching up their strategy.

According to the report, Square Enix plans to “aggressively pursue a multiplatform strategy that includes Nintendo platforms, PlayStation, Xbox, and PCs.” Specifically, this applies to “major franchises and AAA titles including catalog titles.” They’re also looking to rope in Android, iOS, and PC for what they refer to as “SD titles,” which means their lower budget ports, remakes, and simple games.

This strategy will likely pay off big time for Square. The internet’s been very vocal about their disappointment regarding Final Fantasy’s exclusivity in recent years. Bringing the Final Fantasy 7 reboot games and Final Fantasy 16 to Xbox and PC would surely boost sales and give them a second life, something that’s probably paramount to the company given their unusually high standards for what they consider a “successful” game sales-wise.

It looks like this change in approach is also a response to the growing cost of development for Square’s “HD titles.” Near the beginning of the report, the company noted that despite titles like Final Fantasy 16 and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth selling more units overall than the prior year’s HD games, “operating losses grew due to higher development cost amortization and advertising expenses, as well as higher content valuation losses versus the previous fiscal year.” With these games now costing more than ever to produce, Square Enix is likely hoping to offset the multi-million-dollar development expenditures with increased revenue from sales across all major platforms.

We hope to see Square continue to flourish and put out great titles (though their stance on AI implementation has us a little worried). As long as they keep making masterpieces like Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, they should be okay.

Assassin’s Creed “Red” Now Officially Titled “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” and Will Be Revealed on May 15

Following its official announcement two years ago, Ubisoft has now officially given Assassin’s Creed Red its final title, and it’ll be called “Assassin’s Creed Shadows.”

In addition to the title, Ubisoft will have a proper reveal for it happening later this week on May 15 over at the official Ubisoft YouTube channel. The AC Shadows reveal will commence at 9 am PT/12 pm ET/12 am HKT.

Per the game’s press release, here’s a short description what Assassin’s Creed Shadows is about: “Set in Feudal Japan, the game was previously teased on September 2022 as Assassin’s Creed Codename RED during the very first brand showcase dedicated to the Assassin’s Creed franchise.”

While there’s not a lot of info about it, Ubisoft did say that the game will be released before March 2025, so don’t be surprised if AC Shadows drops before the year is done, which is what a rumor mentioned last year mentioned as well.

Following the free PS5 and Xbox Series X|S upgrade for Fallout 4, Bethesda has released a new title update for the game on all platforms that adds some new features. In other news regarding Bethesda, the studio suffered a major blow this month, as parent company Microsoft closed down four internal studios which included Tango Gameworks and more. People were not happy about it, so much so, that Fallout 76 players are even nuking Xbox boss Phil Spencer’s base in the game! That won’t remain unanswered however, as Spencer seems to be readying to retaliate.
