NetherRealms Studios’ Ed Boon Explains Why They Choose to Make Another Mortal Kombat Game Over Injustice 3

While the announcement of Mortal Kombat 1 seems to have been well received, many, specifically the Injustice community, were left feeling rather disappointed, as many had speculated that NetherRealms Studios would have been working on Injustice 3. And while the company does seem to hint that there is still future for the franchise, they have given an explanation as to why they decided to make another Mortal Kombat game over the long-awaited DC fighter sequel.

Speaking in a recent interview on the Jeff Gerstmann Show, Ed Boon opened up on the team’s decision to develop a new Mortal Kombat game instead of another Injustice.

Question: I think a lot of people were expecting Injustice 3 here, but did you just roll right into Aftermath feels good storywise, you’re like, “No, we gotta get back at it.” How did it happen?

Ed Boon: A number of things happened since that (Aftermath.) We switched to a newer Unreal, and that was a big heavy lift. We knew it was something we eventually had to do and that it would make the next game take longer, and then COVID hit, and so we were really finding our footing in terms of how we were going to do this. But we made the decision to go to the new Unreal before COVID had hit, so we committed to that direction. The thought was, if we did an Injustice game and we knew we were going to take longer, it would be like seven years between MK games, and we can’t have any of that.

So we said, okay, let’s do another Mortal Kombat game. It was something that we’re going to showcase a new graphic engine, gameplay, and stuff like that; let’s do another Mortal Kombat game, and then the plan would be to go back to Injustice and stuff like that.

Given the popularity and how many iterations of Mortal Kombat games there are, we suppose his reasoning is understandable. That’s not to say that it’s not a disappointing one, as it’s been over six years since the last Injustice game. Still, it does look like a new Injustice game is still on the table, as Ed did say “the plan would be to go back to Injustice and stuff like that,” it’s just only a matter of when at this point.

In the very least, if you’re looking to scratch that superhero (or supervillain?) fighter itch, if the leaks are to be believed, Peacemaker (DC,) Homelander (The Boys,) and Omni Man (Invincible) are said to be part of Mortal Kombat 1’s first Kombat Pack. So there’s always that to help tide you over until the next Injustice game.

Final Fantasy 16 Live-Action TV Spot Revealed; Demo Mentioned in Other Ads

With the Final Fantasy 16 launch party kicking off tomorrow, Square Enix and PlayStation have begun airing new TV spots, with one just being a live-action and another mentioning an available demo.

Spotted during today’s UEFA Champions League finals, a new Final Fantasy 16 live-action tv spot can be viewed below.

Hopefully, we get an HD version of this ad spot!

In some related news, other ads also aired during the finals of the UEFA champions league, and depending on what region you were watching from, the Spanish ads seemingly confirmed that a FF16 demo is dropping soon, as i’st listed it as being available now.

I can confirm that this is what the narrator says, with another user posting another ad with the text stating, “Play the demo now” in Spanish.

As of writing, no demo is currently available for Final Fantasy 16. That, however, could change tomorrow, as Square Enix will be hosting a launch party where it is speculated that the demo will be announced and released shortly after the event.

We’ll continue to keep tabs on it, and you should expect to see some coverage from us as we’ll have members of our staff attending the party later tomorrow.

Pacific Drive Dev Diary Gives us Deep Look Into the World and Gameplay; Kepler Interactive Partners to Publish Title

Announced at last year’s PlayStation Play Event, here’s a fresh new look into the upcoming driving survival adventure, Pacific Drive.

The first, in what is hopefully of many developer diaries, has been released for Pacific Drive. In this dev diary, you’ll be given a new, deep-dive look into the world of Pacific Drive, as well as a breakdown of some of the gameplay mechanics from key members of Ironwood Studios.

While no release date has been given to Pacific Drive, there is some more good news for progress working towards one, as the studio also revealed today that they have partnered up with Kepler Interactive to publish the title.

“We’re incredibly excited to share that we’ve partnered with Kepler Interactive to release Pacific Drive. Their unique approach to how they work with developers is a great fit for Ironwood Studios and we’re looking forward to sharing more together soon.” Pacific Drive Creative Director, Alexander Dracott said in the press release.

About The Game:

Pacific Drive is a run-based driving survival adventure where players will face supernatural dangers on each expedition out into the Olympic Exclusion Zone. With your car as your only companion, you’ll navigate a surreal and anomaly-filled reimagining of the Pacific Northwest, making your base of operations in an abandoned garage to research new parts to upgrade and maintain your station wagon. As you chart routes deeper into the Zone, you’ll gather precious resources and investigate what’s been left behind to learn exactly what it takes to survive in this unpredictable, hostile environment.

Pacific Drive is targeting a 2023 release on PS5 and PC (Steam and Epic Game Store.) If this is a title that looks to be right up your alley, be sure to wishlist it so that you can get notified whenever the release date gets announced.

Battlefield 2042: DICE Looking to Matchmake Console Players Against Each Other More Often, Improvements to Aim Assist Incoming

For console Battlefield 2042 players who want to crossplay with just console gamers, there’s not really an option to do that. While console to console crossplay isn’t incoming anytime soon, DICE did acknowledge that they are looking at ways so that console gamers will matchmake against other console gamers more often.

This was revealed by Battlefield Community Manager Kevin Johnson (posting as T0TALfps) in a reply to a Reddit thread where he corrected the erroneous thread title (which was based on something that was shared in the latest devstream). In it, Johnson confirmed that the dev team is looking at ways to ensure console players matchmake with other console players more often during the matchmaking process. In addition to that, DICE is also looking at improvements on how aim assist functions as well.

We currently have no plans to have console crossplay off by default, it is our intent that all players should feel encouraged to play with all platforms and be able to find friends and experience Battlefield 2042 with all players. But more importantly, they should feel as though they’re able to compete against all platforms.

So we’ve been looking at changes to improve that, and we’ll continue to look at it.

We have been making changes to ensure Battlefield 2042 becomes fairer when it comes to using a controller, through stuff like Uniform Soldier Aiming, Aim Down Sight Field of View alterations, and in the future – improvements to how Aim Assist functions.

We will also be looking at ways to ensure console players matchmake with other consoles players more during the matchmaking process, as we hear individuals stating that they feel this isn’t happening.

As someone who wants to just play Battlefield 2042 against other console gamers on other platforms, I cannot wait for this to be implemented.

Do you want DICE to matchmake console players against other console gamers more often or it’s fine the way it is now?

Uragun Review – Twin-Stick Roguelike Mechs

Uragun is a relentless twin-stick shooter that isn’t satisfied with the base challenge of the genre. It ups the ante with the introduction of roguelike mechanics, taking your resourceful mech through the same maps, as you unlock upgrades and weapons that give you the extra boost you need. It’s the kind of game that screams “just one more run” and while it flirts with repetition, there is enough quality in here to make this chaotic warfare worth pursuing.

Mech My Day

Despite all the evidence pointing to it, Uragun is not a Housemarque release. The Finnish studio is renowned for its output of high-quality twin-stick shooters, but developer Kool2Play proved that it knows the genre as well, delivering a frantic and challenging game about a mech looking for its other half, the human pilot, in a world filled with corrupted and deadly AI. Your search will take you across a few devastated cities, and your firepower is only going to ramp up the chaos and destruction.

The gameplay loop is a simple but effective one, as you start each run striving to get slightly better by the time you succumb to the opposing forces. Most of your achievements are lost forever when the mech is rebuilt in the Orbita Station, so don’t get too attached to the extremely useful weapon mods. However, your efforts aren’t going to waste as you appreciate the brand-new weapons and count your intel pieces. The latter is of utmost importance, as they can be exchanged for modules in the research console, endowing your mech with everlasting upgrades such as additional health, boost cooldown, or brief damage immunity.

Uragun Review

Acquiring these upgrades isn’t the end of it, though; your mech comes with limited memory slots and you must purchase memory expansions to fit all those great modules. Most of the time you will struggle with different builds, trying to make sense of the combinations and what is best for each run.

A city run isn’t entirely linear, as you’re often faced with a couple of choices. The layout of the levels is random, but the big twist here is that the level rewards are in plain sight, waiting for you to make a choice. Will you go for the challenge that may earn you a new weapon and intel pieces, or the other one offering a weapon mod and a plugin that gives you some additional buffs?

The level layout itself isn’t randomized, a design choice that is often part of roguelike games, but the level rewards and enemies are. This prevents a stale challenge and keeps you guessing for the entire duration of the run, as enemy types, amount, and spawn timing vary each time. Obviously, there are mid- and end-level bosses that will quickly become familiar faces.

Guns Blazing

Uragun Review

Your mech can be assigned with one weapon for each arm, and it’s possible to utilize the same weapon type in both slots. However, a diverse combination often yields the best results, such as a minigun and a railgun, catering both for fire rate and range. But it’s by using mods that their potential is fully explored, paving the way for extra destructive power in ingenious new approaches. Unfortunately, there is no weapon customization, meaning that you are limited to what these bring you, with the occasional extra perk coming with a new possession.

Adding similar mods increases the efficiency of each, and it’s this constant growth and the anxiety of losing the run due to a few unwarranted mistakes that gives Uragun this addictive effect. You want to go for one more try, fully confident on your newly acquired upgrade and hoping that this time you get to experience the next city. The bosses are suitably challenging, lesser threats when you are better equipped and knowledgeable of their tactics, but a slight mistake may be enough to make your performance crash and burn.

Controls are straightforward and easy to grasp, with both gamepad and mouse and keyboard combo working perfectly. The former is likely the choice of hardcore genre fans, but using your mouse to aim with complete precision is something that you shouldn’t instantly reject.

Uragun Review

This is a game of nerves, and rightly so, where blinking isn’t recommended during the moments when hordes are coming from all sides, spawning at random, and not hesitating to rush you. Due to all the flashy visual effects, sometimes it’s hard to spot a lost projectile when moving so frantically, and since health carries across the levels, it can be frustrating. But that’s part of the genre, and so is a certain feeling of repetitiveness to go with the appeal.

Uragun is solid, frantic fun, and worth the time of appreciators of some good old arcade shooting action. The mechanics are sound yet somewhat simple, and this feeling of sameness may rear its ugly head after a while. There’s no multiplayer mode in sight, something that could give the game an extra layer of enjoyment and tactics, but sadly for now it is limited to the solo campaign. There is room for this game to grow, but as it currently stands, you could do a lot worse than controlling this mech on a pilot rescue mission through the confines of bullet hell world.

Rating: 7/10

Pros:

  • Challenging and fun
  • Mech customization is simple but enjoyable
  • Enemy and rewards randomization keep the trials fresh

Cons:

  • Needs occasional breaks to avoid tedium
  • Strictly single-player

Uragun review code was provided by the publisher. You can read MP1st’s review and scoring policy right here.

Warzone Season 4 DMZ Update Detailed; Modern Warfare 2 S4 Multiplayer Trailer Features New Content

After revealing the release date and a lot of content information for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 4 yesterday, Infinity Ward doubled down by dropping a plethora of information about Warzone 2 (now known as “Warzone”) DMZ!  There’s a massive amount of intel that talks about the Warzone DMZ Season 4 update plans (which we will go into detail), a Modern Warfare 2 S4 multiplayer trailer featuring new maps and fresh firepower.

Warzone Season 4 DMZ Update Info, Modern Warfare 2 S4 Multiplayer Trailer

MODERN WARFARE 2:

Check out the brand new Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer Launch Trailer featuring the new map and all the new guns coming to Season 4, which starts June 14:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvn_tHug8FI

WARZONE 2:

Additionally, here’s the Sound of Vondel soundtrack which is produced by Oliver Heldens and Infinity Ward, hitting the streets of Vondel on June 14:

MODERN WARFARE 2 DMZ:

Here’s a rundown of all the content revealed in the DMZ Season 4 Community Update.

New DMZ Content Coming to Season 4

Firstly, there will be a revamp of the DMZ menus to help improve navigation and add brand-new features.

New DMZ menu will contain the following areas:

  • Missions Objectives (mission select)
  • Location Objectives (map challenges)
  • Forward Operating Base (upgrade objectives)
  • Notes (collection)

Forward Operating Base (FOB):

The FOB is a central hub for DMZ. Operators will complete objectives at the FOB in order to unlock upgrades across DMZ. Unlike the Faction Missions in previous DMZ Seasons, the FOB objectives are passive and will not require players to equip them in order to make progress in Season 04.

The FOB is divided into four categories of upgrades (elements of which are shown in the image above, for exemplary purposes only):

  • Weapons Locker
  1. Insured Weapon Slots
  2. Insured Weapon cooldown time
  3. Contraband weapon stash size increases
  • Stash
  1. Wallet Unlock
  2. Wallet capacity
  3. Key and Contraband Stash Size increases
  • Bounty Board
  1. Personal Exfil
  2. Barter recipes
  3. Buy Station discounts
  • Communications Station
  1. Urgent Missions access

This change will give players the incentive to advance through DMZ more quickly and effectively than the previous Faction Mission structures. However, players who want to play the Faction Missions can still do so as they will still be available in the Mission Objectives menu, and will be integral to earning new Faction Reputation.

Urgent Missions:

Players who are willing to grind out additional Faction Reputation can do so thanks to the newly introduced Urgent Missions in Season 04. Urgent Missions will be limited-time missions and can be unlocked through the upgrade objectives in the FOB.

Urgent Missions will rotate daily, offering constant rewards for operators.

Wallet:

Warzone Season 4 DMZ

Alongside Urgent Features, Infinity Ward has also introduced a highly requested feature, the Wallet. Wallet will give players the ability to exfil and store cash outside of the world. Through this, operators can keep all the cash they exfiltrate with and opt to utilize it in another infiltration.

Cash earned inside the Exclusion Zones can now be spent to complete missions or objectives. The Wallet is unlocked and can be upgraded through the FOB objectives.

Refreshed and New Missions:

Warzone Season 4 DMZ
  • Warzone Season 4 DMZ will entail multiple new and reworked missions, as well as the always active objectives in the FOB.
  • Story missions will now be unlocked by gaining Faction Reputation through standard or urgent mission completion only.
  • New mission sets are designed to work in multiple Exclusion Zones in the DMZ.

Vondel: New Exclusion Zone:

Warzone Season 4 DMZ
  • All-new Exclusion Zone with new rewards and challenges, including a new boss and a Weapons Case
  • Vondel is larger than the Ashika Island
  • Infiltrations will be of the same size – 18 operators or six squads
  • Exclusive new DMZ contract – Signal Intelligence – Hack into phones to gain access to cash rewards from other contracts in the area

Dynamic Fog:

Warzone Season 4 DMZ

The dynamic fog system will be introduced in Season 04 only in Vondel. Due to its location below sea level and abundance of canals. DMZ players should be prepared to face volatile conditions as visibility may deteriorate within seconds.

Phalanx: New Faction:

Warzone Season 4 DMZ
  • Station Chief Kate Laswell is conducting operations with Phalanx directly as she has an interest in the unknown faction that has invaded Vondel
  • Phalanx and Black Mous will collaborate on missions to gain intel and uncover the unknown force in Vondel

Faction Reputation:

Warzone Season 4 DMZ

Faction Tiers are still a set of missions with a story mission towards the end. Season 04 will feature each story mission being unlocked when an operator has unlocked enough Faction Reputation.

Faction Reputation is earned by completing standard and urgent missions.

Resets:

Warzone Season 4 DMZ

Faction Mission progress and DMZ inventory will be reset in Season 04 in order to bring the aforementioned updates and the new map.

With the reset:

  • Contraband Weapon Inventories will be rolled back to the starting weapons.
  • Key and Mission Inventories will be emptied.
  • Faction Missions and mission progress will be reset to make room for an updated mission set.

Your loot:

  • Insured Weapons Slots unlocked through previous Faction Mission progress will be reset for all-new ways to unlock these slots.
  • For clarity on any previous progress:
    • All previous mission and boss enemy rewards – for example previously acquired Weapons Case rewards – will not be reset, apart from Contraband and Keys.
    • Any earned Blueprint rewards unlocks will still be available in your Loadout select.

Well, that sums it up. Now you’re up to date with everything revealed by Infinity Ward for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Warzone 2, and DMZ. However, towards the end of the blog post, the developer does tease that they have very exciting and “[REDACTED]” content planned for the future, so stay tuned for more updates!

Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 (now Warzone) Season 04 goes live June 14 at 9am PT/12pm ET/12am HKT. Once the patch is live, we’ll let our readers know.

While DICE rolled out a new map and weapons in Battlefield 2042’s Season 5 update, there wasn’t really any weapon adjustments made. Well, that’s going to change soon, as DICE has revealed some of the Battlefield 2042 Season 5 early weapon feedback they’ve seen, and confirmed that changes will be coming in a future update.

Battlefield 2042 Season 5 Early Weapon Feedback and Upcoming Changes:

Here’s the announcement from the studio:

To make the tweet chain an easier read, we’ve compiled all the weapon feedback messages below.

—-

Assault Rifle Dispersion:

As part of a future update, we’ll be targeting your feedback about burst firing with Assault Rifles.

The dispersion delay currently experienced is not intended, and we’ll be reducing the Dispersion Delay by half.

We’ll also be making changes to some Assault Rifles that are in the extremes of the maximum and minimal possible dispersion rates. With an intent to compress them further, so that they perform in their intended ranges.

Expect a full list at a later date.

RM68:

As previously indicated, the changes in Update 5.0 would not be the last for the RM68

This weapon will be receiving a reduction of the 4HK range by 10m for Standard & High Power ammo, and removed from CQB ammo

We’ll also be reducing the bullet velocity by 90.

That’s it for now!

While this season has only just begun, we’re already working and acting upon your feedback and making changes where possible

We look forward to sharing more news on when to expect these changes and more, in the future, but for now:

See you on the Battlefield

No word yet on when we’ll be getting this update, but not anytime soon, as we just got the Season 5 patch this week. Speaking of which, you can read the stealth changes (read: undocumented adjustments) made by DICE in the Season 5 patch right here.

Bleak Sword DX Review – Lo-Fi Souls

Coming straight from a successful foray in Apple Arcade and onto PC and Nintendo Switch, Bleak Sword DX is the enhanced edition of the lo-fi action roguelike from developer more8bit. First impressions could tell you that it jumped straight out of a Game Boy, but these are often deceiving, as a more attentive look reveals an addictive and engaging game that takes pride on its simplicity and uses it to ramp up the challenge.

Diorama Souls

Comparisons to Elden Ring or Dark Souls may be a trend nowadays and mostly serve a marketing point of view, but Bleak Sword DX does share some aspects with FromSoftware’s colossal achievements. Granted, single-screen gameplay may not be one of those traits, but it’s hard to neglect the focus on dodging and parrying as crucial moves to remain alive, along with the occasional mobs surrounding you from all sides. It can get quite difficult, but just as in any Souls-like, it’s up to you to learn enemy patterns, adapt, time your movements to perfection, and raise your fist in the air each time that you eliminate a hard-as-nails boss.

Tentacles reaching out for you, carnivore flowers spitting venom, spiders slowing you down with their gooey webs, harpies throwing spears, knights slowly creeping on you…these are just a few examples of regular creatures that will give you a field day in these diorama battlefields. When faced alone, the enemy isn’t unsurmountable, but it’s when they come in assorted types that things get tricky, as you must constantly recall each one’s strategies and adapt in the nick of time to whoever is threatening you.

Bleak Sword DX Review

That’s the beauty of Bleak Sword DX – how it mixes a somewhat plain look with gameplay mechanics that are designed to feel intuitive, fast, seamless, and that stay out of your way as you move around the battleground with the precision of a lynx. Parrying is a technique that you should master right from the start, as this creates an opening for a counterattack that leaves the opponent at your mercy. However, some enemies use attacks that can’t be blocked – marked by an exclamation point – and your only option here is to roll out of harm’s way and wait for the sweet moment to strike. Use your wits and not just your brawn and you may get the enemies to throw projectiles at each other, saving you some of the trouble – this is especially useful as some foes are out of your reach, meaning there’s no way to hit them otherwise.

You earn experience points after each battle, and a level up rewards you with a choice from a couple of perks like additional health or damage. Death is not the end, but it may be a significant setback to your progress, as you lose your items and experience points from the current level. You have one shot, one opportunity to cut your losses, but die again and it will be lost forever.

Ballet of Death

Bleak Sword DX Review

The gameplay loop of Bleak Sword DX is this addictive blend of timing and skills, a challenge that is bite-sized and yet keeps you going for as long as you are entertained, throwing some variables at you for the sake of diversity. Horse riding, for example, as you jump obstacles while being attacked by knights and harpies, in a clear case of everything, everywhere at the same time, just like the movie but in a very different keynote.

Apart from the main campaign, you can unlock two modes to keep the fight going. Arena mode is a battle for survival with increasingly difficult enemies, while Boss Run is what it says in the box, as you fight all 12 in-game bosses in succession with only one health bar.

As for the retro art style of Bleak Sword DX, it’s an acquired taste. The details are ostensibly low, but the animation is smooth and enjoyable, with neat visual effects and filters that clearly are made of our current times: snowstorms that push you around, water ripples, volumetric fog, and the like lend the game this sense of immersion that goes beyond its basic style.

Bleak Sword DX Review

However, it wouldn’t be asking too much if there was a little bit of environmental destruction in the battlefield, to add to the chaos and all the bravado going on. Having enemies hidden from sight behind houses, pillars, and trees, among others, is something that doesn’t quite gel with me, especially because there’s no line-of-sight mechanic at work here for our little pixelated knight, but I can understand this as a design choice that is intended as requiring an extra effort from the player.

Bleak Sword DX is a straightforward action game that might not set the world on fire – unlike the village your hero crosses on his path – but if you like your action deceptively simple and addictive, this is one to check. It may end up slightly repetitive in the long run, but play it in short bursts and the challenge will keep you entertained and surely advocating that looks may be important, but beauty is only skin deep.

Score: 8.5/10

Pros:

  • Deceptively simple and engaging
  • Intensely playable and challenging
  • Functional but clever art style

Cons:

  • Some environmental destruction possibilities would be fun to have

Ripout Key Features Revealed; New Gameplay Trailer for Sci-Fi Horror FPS Rips Out

Pet Project Games have unveiled a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming sci-fi horror FPS Ripout. Ripout’s new “No Safe Place in Space” trailer debuts haunting environments that players can explore, and also unveiled the gun combat with the trusty PetGun.

The new trailer reminds viewers of Doom, with the enemy also looking similar. Check it out for yourself:

Ripout – Key Features:

  • Hazardous Levels: Players will discover a variety of levels, some on the verge of collapse, requiring platforming skills to traverse safely. Interactive machinery like retractable bridges offer new paths, but may draw hordes of monsters. Vents provide a claustrophobic challenge, as players are pursued relentlessly by smaller creatures.
  • Robots: Decommissioned robots may malfunction and become hostile. Avoiding contact with these hulking metal machines is often the safest way forward. Stealthily approach and deactivate them to gain resource rewards, or destroy them from a safe distance.
  • Mimic Chairs: Unassuming chairs become lurking enemies, mimicking ordinary seats while patiently awaiting their prey. Players must stay vigilant, promptly identifying and eliminating these mimics before they strike.
  • Mimic Doors: Even opening doors can become a tense experience, as monsters mimic doors until revealing themselves, armed with deadly close-range attacks and rifle fire. Players must utilize all available resources to combat these formidable adversaries.
  • Turrets: Derelict ships are equipped with dangerous turrets that can scan rooms, detect players, and unleash deadly firepower. Players can choose to dismantle them with precise shots or employ the Pet Gun’s ferocious attack to tear them apart.
  • Steam Pipes: As ships crumble under pressure, ruptured steam pipes release scalding heat into the surroundings. Players must navigate these hazardous areas, either by avoiding the steam or cautiously ducking underneath to ensure safe passage.
  • Auxiliary Segments: Auxiliary Segments are special doors that hold valuable loot, guarded by locks and turrets. Players are encouraged to keep a keen eye out for these unique entrances while exploring, as the rewards they contain are well worth the effort.

Ripout promises a memorable horror experience for players, either solo or in a squad with up to three players. Ripout is set to release later this year for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC.

This engram can be focused into any currently available trials loot you have previously obtained, or it can be taken to Master Rahool for a random Trials drop. Your reputation increases after every match completion, based on the number of round-wins on your card, regardless of the result of that match itself (win or lose, 0-5 or 5-4).

Once you have gone Flawless, keep playing! Every win you achieve while at the 7-win level, even if you lose your Flawless, has a chance to drop bonus Trials Engrams, adept weapons, prisms, and even Ascendant Shards. There is no penalty for losing once you’ve made it to the Lighthouse!

When you’re done, you can cash in your 7-win passage for one additional adept drop, granted you have gone Flawless that week. This resets your card so you can start anew.
