What’s a Xûr?

Xûr, Agent of the Nine, is a curious vendor who randomly appears in a Public Sector on one of the Worlds. Xûr sells Exotic equipment (as well as Engrams and Legendary equipment), only accepting Legendary Shards as payment.

TL;DR: He’s the Santa Claus of Destiny and every weekend is Christmas. Sometimes he brings you what you want, sometimes he brings you coal. Mostly it’s coal.

When does Xûr visit?

Xûr visits every Friday at 17:00 UTC and departs at Weekly Reset (Tuesday 17:00 UTC). If you would like to see all the live conversions of Time Zones, please follow this link here.

No Man’s Sky Update 4.030 Patch Notes for June 9 | No Man’s Sky Update 4.30.3 Patch Notes:

4.30 Patch Notes

    • Expedition 10, SINGULARITY, will begin shortly, and will run for approximately five weeks.
    • The expedition sees players work alone and as a community to solve the mystery of the damaged Autophage heads found abandoned at harmonic camps.
    • Rewards for uncovering the mystery and assembling your very own mechanical Construct include a set of unique posters; new jetpack and freighter engine trail customisations; buildable Atlantideum crystals for your base; an exclusive new helmet customisation; and an entire Construct visual customisation set.
    • A layer of more hidden clues exists for players who are willing to hunt them out…
    • PC VR players can now use the virtual keyboard to name discoveries (and other nameable items).
    • Fixed an issue that caused the third-person camera pitch to be reset after using the Analysis Visor – pitch will now remain consistent as players switch between modes.
    • Players who enable auto-follow for the third person camera will now benefit from this setting in the Space Anomaly and aboard Space Stations, as well as on planets.
    • The starship’s autopilot will now prevent players from crashing into various space points of interest while engaged on the starship communicator.

    • Fixed a crash on PC related to memory trampling.
    • Fixed a number of memory-related crashes on Xbox platforms.
    • Introduced a significant load-time optimisation for PlayStation platforms.

    • Fixed a rare issue that could cause missions that send players to visit an NPC specialist in their base to choose the wrong base.
    • Fixed a rare issue that could prevent the completion of puzzles within harmonic camps if another player in their session had completed them first.
    • Fixed an issue that caused one of the glyphs in the harmonic camp puzzles to always be 9.
    • Fixed a number of issues that could cause the Target Sweep to claim there was no mission target, or that the target was too distant, when this was not the cause.
    • Fixed an issue that caused the planetary section of the lightweight Creative Mode tutorial to be skipped.
    • Fixed an issue that prevented dissonant worlds from being correctly labelled when using the starship scanner on more relaxed difficulty settings.
    • Fixed an issue that could cause the wrong technology name and/or icon to be used in tip text after changing ship.
    • Sentinel Interceptors now require Crystalised Hearts rather than Quad Servos to repair their hyperdrive.
    • A large number of improvements have been made to the clarity of tips and icons for the automatically generated technology pinning guidance.
    • If a mission is currently requesting the installation of a piece of technology, that item will now appear as the first item in the list of available techs.
    • Fixed an issue that could make it difficult to interact with the terminal for Nada’s simulation aboard the Space Anomaly.
    • Fixed a controls issue that could cause the starship to land when scrolling through the quick menu.
    • Fixed a number of graphical issues with shadows in the starship cockpit on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

    • Fixed a number of graphical issues with capes when using FSR2.
    • Fixed an issue that prevented the player’s head from casting a shadow in VR when full body was enabled.
    • Fixed a minor graphical issue that could cause laser impact effects to be the wrong colour.
    • Fixed an issue that could cause a red effect to appear in one eye only during the boot screen when using PSVR on PlayStation 4.
    • Introduced a number of improvements to quick menu usage in VR, making it easier & more precise to use.
    • Fixed a VR issue that could cause players to be treating as pointing at the quick menu, when in reality their hand was in front of the menu.
    • Fixed an issue that stopped players from moving in VR if they pointed at their wrist with the point to move setting enabled.
    • Fixed an issue that could cause the “Out of Bounds” VR message to remain on-screen if players reset their view while the main menu was open.
  • Fixed an inconsistency in the use of upper/lower case in the friend request popup.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the weapon charge/ammo percentage in the HUD to drop the % symbol.
  • Fixed a rare issue that could cause some customisation options to be unavailable in the Appearance Modifier UI.
  • Fixed a number of issues that could cause items within the crafting tree to be highlighted when they were not available for crafting.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the incorrect “Back” prompt to be used for the base building parts menu.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause incorrect tooltips to be displayed when using the Terrain Manipulator’s “Create” mode.
  • The clarity of expedition milestone objectives displayed in their popup has been improved.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the guidance for Quad Servos to be displayed when requesting guidance on locating Crystalised Hearts.
  • Fixed an issue that caused some starship communicator messages to linger incorrectly after a save/load.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the tip related to derelict freighter emergency signal scanners to become stuck on screen if the player deleted the signal scanner.

Activision Pulls Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone NICKMERCS Bundle After Controversial Remarks on LGBTQIA+

Celebrated by LGBTQIA+ folks across the world in June, Pride Month honors the individuality, struggles and achievements of queer populations each year, with activists, brands and progressives all expressing solidarity and renewing their commitment to the cause in their own ways. Unfortunately, June also sees much controversy in the form of reactionary vitriol or even problematic messaging from otherwise-anodyne personalities. In such an incident this year, Activision has removed the NICKMERCS Operator bundle from the Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone store after FaZe Nickmercs shared controversial remarks on the LGBTQIA+ community on June 7.

On June 7, esports caster and former Call of Duty professional Chris “Puckett” Puckett quote-retweeted footage of LGBTQIA+ demonstrators apparently being attacked by conservative protestors outside of a schoolboard meeting in Glendale, California. The schoolboard is – according to the original tweet – voting on recognizing June as Pride Month. Puckett, whose Overwatch League apartment is located near the area of the incident, expressed disappointment about the situation, calling on Americans at large to “let people love who they love and live your own life.”

As is visible in the tweet chain, FaZe co-owner Nicholas “Nickmercs” Kolcheff responded to the tweet on the same day with the following remark:

They should leave little children alone. That’s the real issue.

Nickmercs’ tweet, while not incendiary, reflects and reinforces the malicious far-right stereotyping of LGBTQIA+ representation and messaging as harmful for children and even outright child predation. Nickmercs was called out for his remarks by the community as well as Puckett himself, who stressed the importance of LGBTQIA+ acceptance in reducing the incidence of child suicides, and that “gay doesn’t = pedo.”

Yesterday evening, Activision chose to quietly remove the NICKMERCS Operator bundle (which was added on May 31) from the Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone store. It acknowledged the removal later with the following tweet:

Nickmercs addressed the situation on his Twitch channel, claiming that he did not mean to offend and that he is not against LGTBQIA+ discourse, but stands by what he said:

I just don’t think it’s any place for a teacher or a school – I don’t think it’s the place to speak about things like that. It’s not that I think it shouldn’t be spoken about. If that’s what you got from that tweet, then you’re just wrong.

I don’t have any quarrel with anybody in here. I don’t have any quarrel with people on the internet. It wasn’t an anti – I guess – gay tweet. That wasn’t what it was. If you think that I hate you because you’re a certain way, you couldn’t be any more wrong.

I want to be the one – and my wife wants to be the one – to speak with our child about stuff like that. And that was the tweet… I didn’t mean to upset anybody. I know that I did. I’m not apologizing about the tweet, because I don’t feel like it’s wrong. I’m gonna stand by what I said.

Regardless of Nickmercs’ true intentions with respect to his tweets or his personal opinions, it is an unfortunate situation for such a popular, beloved creator to be mired in such a controversy especially during Pride Month. We at MP1st fully believe in equality for queer folks and the celebration of LGBTQIA+ values and history, and hope that the situation with Nickmercs can resolve soon through effective, accepting discourse and discussion.

Happy Pride Month!

Battlefield 2042 Season 5 Stealth Changes Listed, Community Calendar for Events Launched

If you’ve been keeping tabs on every new Battlefield 2042 patch , chances are you’ve seen us post a stealth changes list, or changes not listed in the official patch notes before. Well, that hasn’t changed, as we have the Battlefield 2042 Season 5 stealth changes list from the other day’s patch roll out!

Battlefield 2042 Season 5 Stealth Changes:

All stealth changes that community found out about:

  • #1 Chat font became thicker and clearer
  • #2 Several of the vault assault rifles seem to have improved reload animations, with new little jitters and movements
  • #3 Friendly claymore lasers are now green
  • #4 Paik has re-recorded voicelines in the menu (a more serious tone finally) and new voicelines in the pre-match
  • #5 DLSS has been updated to v2.5 finally
  • #6 From what I’ve seen, adding PVP AI now drops the XP to restricted in Portal, even without changing any other settings. RIP PVE progression.
  • #7 SU-57 has improved acceleration and deceleration sounds
  • #8 The loading screens now have quotes and other lore pieces as small text at the bottom center.
  • #9 NVK Shotgun/Pistol exclusive optic had its reticle changed to a single blue dot.
  • #10 All vault weapons support skins, not just the ones being given the 2042 attachments.
  • #11 You can now customise the chat window and make it wider/bigger. New icons for certain gadgets, for example the mines.
  • #12 Blasco’s mastery was changed to “spots blocked or enemies disrupted”. 8000 needed for T1 now.
  • #13 Aim assist changes/improvements? Not sure but feels like it.
  • #14 Aim assist now affects even sniper scopes. (I consider it absolutely wrong idea)
  • #15 Even when considering the removal of the HB, many if not all vault ARs have new damage drop-offs.MTAR and ACW both have a 4HK range now. MTAR also has it’s bugged hipfire removed. ACW-R has near SMG hipfire now.
  • #16 Portal experiences with no modifiers and default PvP AI no longer grant ribbon and mastery XP at all, neither do they progress weekly missions like they used to before this update.
  • #17 online friend list ingame are now sorted by status ingame. previously need to scroll down to find that particular friend to join them
  • #18 The M416 no longer has the Holosight attachment, for some reason?
  • #19 [NEEDS FURTHER VERIFICATION] Anti Tank Mines “appear” to have been nerfedUPDATE: not it’s not. Works fine as before.
  • #20[NEEDS FURTHER VERIFICATION] Portal AI don’t grant anything towards weapon attachments. Super rough for those of us in unpopulated regions.
  • #21 Boris got a secret buff/change. Sentry turret has higher RPM, but less health in general. It can finally kill something again and takes less bullets to destroy an enemy turret.
  • #22 Falck has new voice lines. She is shouting some lines in German now, representing here origin
  • #23 [NEEDS FURTHER VERIFICATION] MBTs feel more agile, still testing
  • #24 Jets now track kills while destroying vehicles instead of vehicles destroyed
  • #25 switching guns with laser on gives little turn off beepnot sure if its old tho
  • #26 Melee now has a slight amount of tracking a la BF1. Not too much, feels right for 2042.
  • #27 Ai soldier squad mates can ping now
  • #28 This might just be me but Boris’ pose on the main menu feels slightly different compared to before, at least with LMGs
  • #29 Tank shells renamed. MPAT to 120mm smoothbore MPAT and so on for the rest, I would assume.
  • #30 M16A3 lost the regular US Reflex, and new attachments show the front iron sight. Not sure if this was in patch notes or not.
  • #31 [PERSISTENT BUG] HDR is still broken on PC from when 4.2.0 patch came outhttps://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/HDR-stopped-working-after-4-2-0-Update/m-p/12539819#M27514
  • #32 [BUG REINTRODUCED] unable to aim down site of AEK (haven’t tested others yet, I have a sneaking suspicion it’s going to be all the Vault weapons) after exiting vehicle.
  • #33 Chat is bigger on wide screen
  • #34 The Air-to-Ground Missile no longer locks onto empty vehicles but will keep the lock if the enemy player leaves the vehicle during the lock sequence. – This was supposed to be in 5.0 but I tested and I can lock onto empty vehicles just fineUpdated: This is only affecting the Jet AGM
  • #35 Attack helicopter flight mechanics have absolutely been reworked. Feels much lighter and nimble. Likely to offset the new AA weaponry.
  • #36 30mm regular AA cannon has been buffed against land vehicles. Tier 1 wildcat here. Also the 35mm wildcat cannon sucks. It hits hard but has so much lead it’s only good at very close range against air targets.
  • #37 EBLC ram now allows smoke and APS. previously you could only get one.
  • #38 [BUG INTRODUCED] when getting revived in some game modes, you still come back to life with your camera turned all the way down. Bug’s been there since S3 at least.

Chances are, there are more stealth changes, and once more are added, we’ll update the article.

In addition to that, DICE has also updated the official Battlefield website with the “Community Calendar.” In it, players will be able to see the upcoming playlist rotations, double XP events and more that’s planned for the month.

Check out what’s incoming for June (via AppleBox):

Image

In other Battlefield 2042 news, DICE has disable profile stat tracking temporarily due to an issue. However, the Conquest tickets for new map Reclaimed has been hiked up to 1000.

Thanks, ANGRYlalocSOLDIE!

COMPETITIVE BAN POLICY CHANGE

In Chapter 4 Season 3, we’ve made changes to our policy on competitive bans and their impact on FNCS eligibility. Previously, players who received a competitive ban of 14 days or longer were ineligible to participate in both the then-current FNCS season and the next FNCS season. Under our new policy, players who receive a competitive ban of 14 days or longer will only be ineligible to participate in either the then-current FNCS event (e.g., an FNCS Major) or the next FNCS event, if there isn’t an FNCS event being held at the time of that 14-day competitive ban.

This new policy takes effect with the start of Chapter 4 Season 3, which means anyone actioned under the prior policy during Chapter 4 Season 2 has a fresh start going into FNCS Major 3 and will be eligible to participate as long as they meet all other eligibility requirements.

COMPETITIVE FORTNITE FAQ

Have additional questions about competitive Fortnite? Check out our FAQ below or see our rules library.

WHERE CAN I FIND THE TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE?

You can find the tournament schedule on our website at fortnite.com/competitive under “Calendar.” You can also find your local region’s start times in the “Compete” tab in-game.

CAN I COMPETE IN MULTIPLE REGIONS THIS SEASON?

You will only be able to compete in one region’s competitive offerings this Season. Once a player participates in a region in any competitive event, they will be locked to that region for any subsequent sessions of that event.

CAN I SWITCH TEAMMATES BETWEEN FNCS WEEKS?

Yes, you can swap teammates between FNCS weeks as long as all participating players are eligible for FNCS. Please note: If you do swap teammates between FNCS weeks, you will not be able to transfer FNCS Series Points that were earned with your previous team over to your new team.

CAN I SWAP TO DIFFERENT ACCOUNTS DURING TOURNAMENTS?

No. Attempting to use an alternate account during the same FNCS session may result in disqualification.

CAN I SWAP TO DIFFERENT DEVICES DURING FNCS?

No. Once you participate in an FNCS event (e.g., an FNCS Major) on an eligible device, you will need to use the same kind of device for the rest of that FNCS event. Attempting to use a different device (for example: switching consoles, switching PCs, or switching from console to PC or vice versa) on the same account at any point during an FNCS event may result in disqualification.

CAN MULTIPLE PLAYERS USE THE SAME DEVICE DURING FNCS?

No. Attempting to use multiple accounts on the same device to compete in FNCS may result in disqualification.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO REPORT A SUSPECTED CHEATER IN TOURNAMENTS?

Please report any suspicious activity in our official Tournament Support Discord and through the in-game reporting tools. You can also use the Discord Server to report any tournament issues or bugs experienced during tournament gameplay.

Report: Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica Footage and Release Dates Leak Out

It seems the rumors were true, Atlus is indeed developing a Persona 3 remake! While it hasn’t officially been announced just yet, both Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica have leaked online!

Posted by the official Atlus Instagram account (now deleted), it mentions that Persona 3 Reload is due for release in “early 2024,” while Persona 5 Tactica will be out on November 17, 2023!

Check out the gameplay trailers from both leaked Persona games:

In addition to the leaked trailers, both games are set to become available via Xbox Game Pass!

Given the Xbox Game Pass association, chances are, these announcements will be part of the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase, which is set to air this June 11, and will last for roughly two hours with no full CGI trailers.

While we usually remind people to be skeptical of leaks and rumors, this is one that seems set in stone. I mean, the trailers got leaked, so we should expect the official announcement to be made soon.
