Battlefield 6 is launching in exactly one month from now, and while DICE and the rest of the Battlefield studios are hard at work on the final touches, it seems that they’re planning one last major showcase before launch.
This time around, it won’t be the multiplayer or even battle royale component that will be shown off, which is understandable given almost every piece of information released so far has focused on those or Battlefield Portal.
While we’ve seen enough of the multiplayer thanks to the Open Beta and the flood of leaks, this upcoming showcase, set to air during Tokyo Game Show 2025, will be entirely focused on Battlefield 6’s single-player campaign.
With today's Battlefield 2042 update, DICE not only applied bug fixes and adjustments, but there's also the introduction of Tier Skips to the Road to Battlefield 6 Battle Pass.
Battlefield 6 Campaign Showcase Coming Before Launch
Mark your calendars for September 26, because more Battlefield 6 news is coming.
As announced by the Computer Entertainment Suppliers’ Association (via TGS), the full TGS 2025 live stream schedule is now available ahead of the September 25 to 28 event. Lots of programs are set to stream throughout those days, but one has explicitly caught the attention of Battlefield fans, and that’s the Battlefield 6 Single-Player Live showcase that is streaming on September 26.
While the Battlefield 6 Open Beta was a resounding success, there was one topic that wasn't answered then, and still hasn't been answered now: does the game play better with closed or open weapon for classes?
For those unaware, an "open" class sytem for weapons means any class can equip any weapon.
Details are light, though the stream details confirm we’ll have a new look at the story mode, with both the developers and English cast taking to the stage to introduce it.
13:00 to 14:00 – Battlefield 6: Single-Player Live Showcase – The developers and English voice actors of Battlefield 6 introduce the upcoming first-person shooter, including a look at the single-player story mode. Featuring executive special producer Phillipe Ducharme and senior creative director Roman Campos-Oriola.
While the Battlefield franchise has been known mainly for its chaotic multiplayer, the series has featured some pretty memorable campaigns, like the ones found in Bad Company 1 and 2, and some of the other modern Battlefield games. It may not be the main draw of the franchise, but it’s been a mode we’ve always looked forward to ourselves, and we cannot wait to see what the Battlefield Studios have cooked up.
The wait won’t be much longer, as TGS 2025 begins on September 25, with the campaign showcase happening on September 26. Two weeks later, on October 10, Battlefield 6 will be released.

A gamer at heart, James has been working for MP1st for the last decade to do exactly what he loves, writing about video games and having fun doing it. Growing up in the 90's gaming has been in his DNA since the days of NES. One day he hopes to develop his own game.
Dragon Ball games have been a lot of things over the years: fighting games, RPGs, arena brawlers, and even Kinect experiments best left forgotten. But one thing the series had never really tried was a MOBA. That changes with Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra, a four-on-four online battle arena that takes the familiar formula of League of Legends and Dota 2 and gives it a distinctly Dragon Ball twist.
On paper, it sounds like a recipe for disaster. How do you take a genre known for its meticulous strategy and slow power scaling and make it work with characters who blow up planets as a warm-up? Surprisingly, it actually works. Gekishin Squadra doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it layers enough Dragon Ball flavor on top of MOBA fundamentals to feel fresh and, most importantly, fun.
Tucked away in a meeting room just off the main show floor during PAX West 2025, MP1st managed to score a four-hour session with Bandai Namco’s upcoming RPG, Digimon Story Time Stranger.
Dragon Ball MOBA
As a fan of everything Dragon Ball, whether it’s the fighting experiences, the classic Game Boy Advance games, heck, even the survival “horror” Dragon Ball: The Breakers, I’ve never been against the idea of the franchise branching off to genres that would otherwise not “fit” it. More often than not, I’m left surprised by the experience, though one genre that I never expected to see the franchise jump to is MOBAs. I’ve dabbled in games like League of Legends and Dota, but I wouldn’t call myself a “veteran” or expert on the genre. They’re fun, but they’ve never really been my forte.
So it was nice to see that Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra considered that for its fanbase, in that it offered a pretty detailed tutorial, all while tying things to the Dragon Ball franchise. It doesn’t try to throw you into the deep end, with the tutorial walking you through the basics of lanes, objectives, and abilities. Not only did I find the tutorial to be helpful, but it was also pretty approachable, which left me with enough confidence to jump into my first real match without feeling like dead weight for my team.
Like with any other MOBA, your first big decision is picking a role. Squadra splits characters into three groups: Damage, Tank, and Technical.
Damage: All about raw output. You’ve got Goku, a Mini Goku Trunks, Piccolo, Android 18, Kale, Dabura, Bojack, and more.
Tank: The bruisers: Vegeta, Cell, Cooler, Zamasu, Baby, and Caulifla.
Technical: The tricksters: Frieza, Hit, Majin Buu, Krillin, Android 17, and Kid Gohan.
Each character has their own ability set, and they play vastly differently, even if they are within the same roles. What keeps things exciting is that every character can transform mid-match as well as level up, unlocking more buffs, and once fully charged up, can unleash an ultimate attack. The first time you flip a losing fight with a perfectly timed ultimate attack is the moment the game really clicks.
The roster also shows real care for Dragon Ball fans. You’ve got the obvious picks (Goku, Vegeta), but also some deep cuts like Bojack and Baby, who are usually left out or kept away for potential DLC. It’s the kind of lineup that fans dream of in a Dragon Ball game.
If you’re into roguelites, with retro art, and games that make every decision feel like a life-or-death gamble, Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes should be on your radar.
Once you’ve picked your fighter, Squadra adds extra layers to keep matches interesting. You also choose a Helper, which is basically an equippable ability with a 30-second cooldown. Pick wisely, as some Helpers heal, some stun, some buff your team, and they can swing a fight when used at the right moment.
There’s also the Divine Draw, a kind of match event that can give you or your opponents an edge. It’s a little bit random, which might frustrate purists, but it keeps games unpredictable. These are listed before the start of a match and range from all kinds of effects, such as having one super kill point at the beginning of a match, or heroes and enemies NPCs exploding whenever they get KO’d
And then there are the Gods of Destruction. These towering guardians protect each side, healing teammates and blocking progress. Defeat them, and the enemy’s Dragon Shell becomes vulnerable. Destroy the Shell and you win the match. It’s the Dragon Ball equivalent of destroying a Nexus in League of Legends, and it gives fights a real sense of escalation.
Match length is all over the place, depending on your team and opponents. Sometimes it’s a quick 15-minute stomp, other times it drags close to an hour with back-and-forth pushes. In every match, though, there’s a sense of growth. Beating enemies levels up your character, making them stronger, unlocking their transformation, and eventually their ultimate.
When ultimates come out, the game feels peak Dragon Ball. The screen fills with energy blasts, screams, and flashy finishers. The chaos might be too much for some, but if you grew up on the anime, it’s exactly the kind of spectacle you’d want.
Go… Even Further Beyond
Outside of the action, progression is handled through a battle pass system. It’s pretty standard stuff—earn cosmetics, titles, and rewards as you climb levels. It won’t blow anyone away, but it gives you reasons to keep queuing up.
I also really liked the post-match breakdown. Instead of just saying “win or lose,” it gives you a detailed report: who got the most God of Destruction KOs, map logs, team lists, the works. It’s useful if you’re trying to improve, but it also gives bragging rights when you carry a match.
And in a nice touch, you can vote for MVP at the end. It doesn’t change anything, but it’s fun to give your Trunks player a nod for that clutch finish.
Visually, Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra looks good, though it’s not pushing any boundaries. The cel-shaded art is clean, the character models pop, and the abilities have enough flash to make every fight feel like an anime showdown. It gets the job done.
The music and sound effects, though, are a highlight. Fans of Dragon Ball’s soundtracks will feel right at home; there are plenty of familiar themes that give battles the right energy. Honestly, even just hearing the old cues while flying into a lane makes the whole package feel more authentic.
After years of silence and delays, Capcom finally pulled back the curtain on Pragmata, and I had the chance to have a hands-on preview demo at PAX West.
The Z Fighters Have Arrived
Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra could have been a gimmick. On paper, the idea of turning Dragon Ball into a MOBA sounds like one of those spin-offs that fade into obscurity. But after playing match after match, I’m convinced there’s something here.
It’s not flawless. Sometimes matches drag on a little too long, and the randomness of Divine Draws, which are decided at the beginning of the match, won’t be for everyone. But when you’re in the middle of a teamfight, Goku is charging a Spirit Bomb, Vegeta’s tanking a push, and Krillin swoops in with the perfect support ability, it all comes together. It feels chaotic, it feels strategic, and it feels Dragon Ball.
For MOBA fans, it’s a fresh spin that respects the genre. For Dragon Ball fans, it’s one of the most inventive ways the series has ever been adapted. Put the two together, and you’ve got a game that’s way better than it has any right to be.
Score: 8.5/10
Pros
Good tutorial that helps new MOBA players
Post-match breakdown detailed analytics
A great roster to pick from
Unique take on the MOBA meets Dragon Ball
Cons
Randomness of Divine Draw might hinder match enjoyment.
Match length inconsistency for those who might be looking for a quick match.
While Dragon Ball is known for it, it might be too chaotic/flashy for a MOBA for some
Square Enix has steadily built Octopath Traveler into one of the most recognizable names in modern RPGs, thanks to its striking HD-2D presentation and engaging turn-based battles.
Enjoying Hollow Knight: Silksong? If you’re having a hard time with the game’s difficulty, Team Cherry is looking to help with that, as the developers plan to release Silksong’s first update next week, and it won’t just lower the difficulty scaling for some early bosses, but increase survivability as well.
There is no release date set for the patch, but Team Cherry has given us a preview of what’s in store for players for the Metroidvania sequel that’s hogging up all the attention in the gaming landscape since its release.
With today's Battlefield 2042 update, DICE not only applied bug fixes and adjustments, but there's also the introduction of Tier Skips to the Road to Battlefield 6 Battle Pass.
Hollow Knight: Silksong First Update Since Release Sees Balancing Changes
Here’s a preview of the patch notes per Team Cherry:
Fixed situation where players could remain cloakless after Slab escape sequence.
Fixed wish Infestation Operation often not being completable during the late game.
Fixed wish Beast in the Bells not being completable when Bell Beast is summoned at the Bilewater Bellway during the late game.
Fixed getting stuck floating after down-bouncing on certain projectiles.
Fixed courier deliveries sometimes being inaccessible in the late game.
Fixed craft bind behaving incorrectly when in memories.
Fixed Lace tool deflect soft-lock at start of battle in Deep Docks.
Fixed Silk Snippers in Chapel of the Reaper sometimes getting stuck out of bounds.
Fixed Claw Mirrors leaving Hornet inverted if taking damage during a specific moment while binding.
Fixed Snitch Pick not giving rosaries and shell shards as intended.
Removed float override input (down + jump, after player has Faydown Cloak).
Slight difficulty reduction in early game bosses Moorwing and Sister Splinter.
Reduction in damage from Sandcarvers.
Slight increase in pea pod collider scale.
Slight reduction in mid-game Bellway and Bell Bench prices.
Slight increase in rosary rewards from relics and psalm cylinders.
Increase in rosary rewards for courier deliveries.
Various additional fixes and tweaks.
Team Cherry mentions that changes made will apply retroactively, so players who’ve hit a significant bug that prevents progress may want to a public beta to receive the fix (for PC).
Outside of the patch, the developers have confirmed that the second update is also in the works, and it will deal with more issues. If you don’t see a bug mentioned above, there is a good chance it’s part of the second update.
This is good news, given that the game isn’t really getting nerfed hard, but at the same time, players will be able to purchase more upgrades to help them in their quest. No matter the upgrade, if youc can;t figure out a boss, you still won’t be able to.
Daedalic Entertainment and developer DALOAR are preparing to launch The Occultist, a first-person horror game set for release in 2026 on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Players who experienced a companion glitch in Ark Survival Ascended should have this fixed with today’s update, which also handles a few other things. Console players will see the patch appear as Ark Survival Ascended update 1.071.015 (PC v71.15), and this should be a small download on all platforms.
For the complete list of fixes, as well as the recent changes made the past few days, read on below.

With today’s Battlefield 2042 update, DICE not only applied bug fixes and adjustments, but there’s also the introduction of Tier Skips to the Road to Battlefield 6 Battle Pass.
This means that if you don’t want to grind the game for the BF6 rewards, or you want a little boost to finish it, you can, as long as you’re willing to spend money on it. For those who are close to finishing the Battle Pass, but want that extra boost, it’ll cost you a few bucks, but if you want to buy your way out of grinding, well, it’s going to cost you.
DICE has already commented that soldier skins in Battlefield 6 will be "grounded" and stay authentic to the franchise, and based on our early look at the soldier skins in the game, the studio has stayed true to its word.
Battlefield 2042 Battle Pass Tier Skips for Complete Battlefield 6 Rewards Is Pretty Expensive
Each Tier Skip costs 150 Boins (Battlefield Coins), so this means, say, you need to skip 10 levels, that’s 1,000 Boins or $10 in real-world money. Given there are 60 levels in total for the Battle Pass, that means you’ll need to spend a whopping $90 just to get all the rewards without playing a minute of BF2042.
Bear in mind, you can obtain the items without spending a cent, and publisher Electronic Arts isn’t holding a gun to your head, forcing you to buy the Tier Skips. You’re free to ignore or buy as many Skips as you want, and this is more for those strapped for time, or just don’t want to grind the Battle Pass. Also, the rewards are all purely cosmetic, so the worst-case scenario for those who didn’t take part in BF2042’s Road to Battlefield 6 Battle Pass is that you won’t get some of the skins and other items when you play BF6.
While DICE has already commented on how operator skins in Battlefield 6 will be "grounded" and stay true to the franchise, it's hard to believe that until we see the real thing.
If you’re curious what you can obtain from the Battle Pass, we’ve listed it down for reference. Are you thinking of picking up Tier Skips or is EA asking too much for it? Leave a comment and let su know.

As expected, Bungie has released update 9.0.1 for Destiny 2 today alongside its server downtime. This brings a good amount of fixes and improvements to activities, the Crucible changes and a whole lot more.
Console players will see this as Destiny 2 update 3.73/1.168, and this is a pretty long changelog — much longer than what we’re used to.

Destiny 2’s Update on Sept. 9 Brings a Long List of Changes via Patch 3.73/1.168
Activities
Portal
The reward multiplier in the Portal will now use account max Power instead of equipped Power.
Fireteam Power no longer reduces your reward multiplier when below 300 Power. This improves rewards for low-Power players playing with their high-Power friends, allowing for easier access to Tier 2 gear. Tier 3+ will still require leveling your Power to earn them from the Portal.
Adjusted the time limits for most activities across the Portal based on player data.
Increased time limits for Liminality, Inverted Spire, and Widow’s Court.
Decreased time limits for most other activities.
An additional round of updates is planned for the first patch of Ash & Iron. It will, in general, give players more time to get their score bonuses.
The Time Bonus modifier now gives a 5% if you beat the time by even one second.
Reduced the scoring value of the Locked Loadout modifier. Reduced the expectations on Master difficulty and above in both matchmade and customized scoring the same amount.
Locked Loadout should feel less required for high scores.
Players that are at 450 Power at the start of Ash & Iron will now find themselves in Reward Rank Platinum I, rather than Gold V.
Ultimate difficulty matchmaking opens in Week 10.
Conquests are now replayable after their first-time completion for normal Portal rewards. This should make it easier to lead your friends through their Conquests.
Solo Ops
Fixed an issue causing players to sometimes become soft-locked in the Creation activity’s final encounter.
Pinnacle Ops
Fixed an issue where the story was not progressing with each completion of Encore when launched from the Portal.
Fixed an issue where Unstoppable Centurions would spawn in The Whisper at lower difficulty levels than intended.
While the Battlefield 6 Open Beta was a resounding success, there was one topic that wasn't answered then, and still hasn't been answered now: does the game play better with closed or open weapon for classes?
For those unaware, an "open" class sytem for weapons means any class can equip any weapon.
General
Added a ‘discard’ action to Portal engrams, so they can be thrown away from the Postmaster if desired.
Fixed an issue where text about darkness encroaching would incorrectly play in some activities where it wasn’t relevant.
Fixed an issue where the modifiers indicating Cascade enemies will appear in an activity were incorrectly calling the bane Avalanche.
Fixed an issue causing the Oscillation modifier to have no effect. This modifier has been added back into the modification options for Portal activities.
Fixed an issue where the daily modifier rotations were not occurring at daily reset time.
Fixed an issue where the Shock bane could persist and repeatedly detonate after being defeated.
Kepler
Mythic Difficulty
Rebalanced Mythic difficulty to appropriately scale for differing fireteam sizes (Trio, Duo, Solo).
Made adjustments to Power delta.
Retuned Incoming/outgoing damage.
Added Multiplicity Skull.
Additional fireteam members scale difficulty.
Difficulty lowered for solo, scales up for duo and full fireteam.
The Sieve
Added mission objectives to indicate that the activity will restart and continue after completing a full round of The Sieve.
General
English voices for Ikora, Orin, and Chioma have been updated to use their main voice actors.
Added a launch node on Kepler for The Invitation opening mission so players can replay it on Normal or Legendary difficulty.
Fixed an issue where some enemies would not suspend as expected on Kepler.
Fixed an issue causing all players in a fireteam to see the fireteam leader’s ghost when receiving calls during the Edge of Fate campaign.
Fixed an issue where some players could not interact with the briefcase during the Declassification quest.
Given how well the Battlefield 6 Open Beta was received, it's perfectly understandable that EA and DICE would want to ride that hype train to Battlefield 2042.
Crucible
General
The following adjustments should make Crucible more rewarding to play for all players.
Increased chance of earning Prime Engrams on activity complete.
Increased the amount of score awarded for losses.
Increased the amount of score awarded for sixth place.
Increased Bonus Focus drop rates to 66%, from 25%.
Increased frequency at which bonus drops are acquired when playing Crucible Ops activities.
Lowered performance grade score thresholds for reward ranks Copper and Bronze.
Increased Power adjustor for end-of-match rewards between Power 10 and 300.
Increased gear tier for B+ grades and above at reward ranks Copper and Bronze (Power 10-300).
Updated modifier icons for scoring, events, and matchmaking to be more distinguishable from standard informational icons.
Tuned Fireteam Based Matchmaking in 6v6 playlists to speed up matchmaking times and make it less likely that larger fireteams will match against all solo players, and more likely that they will match against at least one smaller fireteam, in the event there are no larger fireteams available.
Crucible Reward Multiplier is now calculated as a running average for the duration of the activity.
Reduced the amount of bonus score earned per medal for round-based modes to bring it closer to non-round-based modes.
Fixed an issue causing focused rewards from Crucible Ops to go directly to the postmaster.
Fixed an issue where reaching Brave did not progress the Tex Mechanica Tournament quest.
Fixed an issue causing the Competitive playlist to inaccurately reference the Survival game mode.
Trials of Osiris
Trials now has a weekly featured weapon rotation, in addition to all pre-existing rewards. Featured weapons can be obtained from the Lighthouse Chest and have a chance to drop on match completion based on performance grade.
Match completion drop rates scales from 20% at grade C+ to 60% at A+.
Fixed an issue where some players could access Trials without reaching Power 200.
Fixed an issue where the Skull Breaker medal was not tracking correctly in Trials playlists, which was blocking Gilding of the Flawless seal.
Lobby balancing in Trials has been disabled.
Trials Special ammo balancing.
Increased Special ammo meter gains in Trials from all sources by 35%.
Set neutral Special ammo crates to appear after 20s (down from 30s).
Removed initial spawn Special ammo crates.
Fixed an issue where the match results stats would often display incorrect information.
Looks like loot boxes might finally be introduced in Marvel Rivals.
Raid and Dungeons
The Desert Perpetual
Reward Changes:
Added extra rewards from clearing all encounters. Defeat all three bosses before beating Koregos to earn an extra piece of gear.
In addition to this, we are introducing two weekly challenges. The first challenge gives an extra piece of loot from your first clear of an encounter each week in either version of the raid. Completing this challenge will unlock an additional one that provides bonus loot from just the epic raid. The loot from these challenges has bonus Seasonal Power and drops at an upgraded Tier based on the number of active feats.
Removed the requirement to complete the “Combined Mastery” Triumph to increase your gear drop tier. Now, all Desert Perpetual gear will now drop at Tier 2 in the standard version and Tier 3 in the epic raid, no matter your current Power level. In addition, we have added a chance for all gear earned during a full clear to drop at up to +2 from your base Tier. Add feats to increase your chances.
Fixed an issue when facing Iatros, Inward-Turned causing chronon carrying Minotaurs to despawn.
Updated scoreboard category to include correct verbiage “Structures Generated.”
The Variable Elimination debuff is now removed faster upon blocking line of sight with the targeting Agraios boss.
Fixed an issue that could cause Variable Elimination to unintentionally kill players not close to the shot when it hits a Detain Shield.
Duality
Fixed an issue preventing players from being teleported to the nightmare realm when playing on Master difficulty.
Shooting Range
Fixed an issue where the Shooting Range scoreboard damage tracker was not properly representing gameplay scaled for more than one player.
The shooting range now features customizable difficulty from the Portal, including access to most of the same modifiers available on a given day.
It has been a while since we've heard any good news about the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake.
UI/UX
Added a new tab to the post-game carnage report (PGCR) of Portal activities so players can review the grade that they earned.
Fixed an issue where swapping between difficulties in a custom Portal activity would sometimes change what default modifiers were active, even if the player had not adjusted that modifier.
Fixed an issue where the campaign category in Fireteam Finder was sometimes missing.
Added the Pale Heart to the free roam category in Fireteam Finder.
New quests on a different page will properly highlight the next/previous page buttons.
Gameplay and Investment

Added an effect where it will now also return health when defeating targets.
Spirit of the Cyrtarachne
Woven Mail duration reduced from ten seconds to six.
This will be reverted in our next available patch.
Titan
Stronghold
Gaining stacks of Perfect Guard has been moderately normalized, meaning blocking larger amounts of incoming fire gains stacks at a slower rate, while blocking lower amounts of incoming fire gains stacks at a faster rate.
No longer provides Restoration. Now landing a Sword hit now requires and consumes 50% of your Perfect Guard charge, which Exhausts enemies you hit and instantly heals you and nearby allies.
No longer provides infinite guard duration. Now landing a Sword hit while at max Perfect Guard stacks will fully refill your Sword energy.
No longer provides +100 Guard Resistance. Now you gradually gain up to +50 Guard Resistance and +50 Guard Endurance based on how many stacks of Perfect Guard you have.
No longer provides Resist x4 while guarding. Now you gain a hidden 30% damage resistance for 1.5 seconds upon exiting Sword guard.
Given the increased value in triggering the perk at the right moment, in order to respect player agency you now must land a direct hit with a light or heavy attack to trigger the heal and Exhaust.

Perfect Guard stacks are no longer lost ten seconds after blocking damage, you now keep them indefinitely until spent.
Walking speed while guarding with a Sword is now increased when moving in all directions, instead of only while moving forward.

Fixed an issue causing the Bushido Set bonus to play its activation audio too often when using a bow.
Like the first game, Hollow Knight: Silksong is a pretty challenging game.
Armor Mods
Orbs of Restoration
Fixed an issue causing Orbs of Restoration to not function properly on Solar Warlocks with Phoenix Dive equipped.
Weapons
Global Changes
Various hip-fire reticles and hip-fire reticle elements have been updated.
The positioning of perk active indicators, pips, charge meters, and Tex Mechanica horns now all adapt to size changes in the primary reticle due to FOV, bloom, and auto aim. Due to this, most of these have also moved closer to the primary reticle.
Trinity Ghoul’s perk active indicator has unique positioning due to its split arrow behavior.
The pips on Vex Mythoclast have been moved to appear underneath the reticle.
Barrow-Dyad’s pip positioning is untouched in order to keep them aligned with the charge meter and holo sight.
Monte Carlo’s perk active indicator is untouched.
Pips now have more simplistic visuals in order to lower overall visual complexity. In addition, pips will now disappear completely unless you have at least one pip.
Deterministic Chaos’s pips are untouched and maintain their old visuals since their function is unique on this weapon.
Curved charge meters now have the “max charge” indicator that horizontal charge meters have.
Delicate Tomb, Jötunn, and Salvation’s Grip now use horizontal charge meters.
A few weapons in their “perk active” state now use a different reticle that communicates their firing behavior more accurately:
Grand Overture
Tessellation
Devil’s Ruin
Cryosthesia 77K
Touch of Malice
Lumina now uses the support hip-fire reticle when aiming at allies while you have Noble Rounds.
Support frame Auto Rifles (non-healing mode) now have a brand new hip-fire reticle.
Legendary Tex Mechanica SMG hip-fire reticles now have horns.
In order to maintain a consistent visual and functional language for reticle elements, the pips on Telesto and Traveler’s Chosen have been removed.
Visually, Machine Gun and Fusion Rifle hip-fire reticles now appear more consistently similar across all weapons within each archetype, regardless of input method.
Vex Mythoclast is exempt from this change due to its unique firing performance.
Fixed an issue where the class Exotic Glaives’ hip-fire reticle would not animate to communicate that the shots will track enemies.
Deterministic recoil has been removed from all weapons except for Vigilance Wing.
Micro-Missiles
What were previously loosely defined as “micro-rockets” have been officially dubbed “micro-missiles.”

Alongside today’s title update, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2’s second DLC “Legacy of the Forge” is also out now, and we have the trailer and official info about it available below.
Per the press release: “In Legacy of the Forge, Henry becomes a member of Kuttenberg’s blacksmith guild, which grants him the right to take over a legendary but long-abandoned forge, the same workshop where his adoptive father, Martin, once trained as an apprentice. Inside, Henry uncovers a forgotten dream Martin and his companions had once aspired to: repair the city’s astronomical clock. But before this task could be completed, the group fell apart, and the forge was left to ruin. Now it falls to Henry to continue the legacy, rebuild the forge, earn prestige, and reunite Martin’s old colleagues, each a master craftsman whose skills and stories are vital to completing the clock. Players can expect around 15 hours of new story content, packed with conspiracies, camaraderie, and unexpected twists.”
Legacy of the Forge is available now for $13.99, and those who own the Expansion Pass will automatically receive the new content.
With a patch this big, don’t be surprised if Warhorse releases a follow-up patch to fix any issues that surface from today’s update.
While the Battlefield 6 Open Beta was a resounding success, there was one topic that wasn't answered then, and still hasn't been answered now: does the game play better with closed or open weapon for classes?
For those unaware, an "open" class sytem for weapons means any class can equip any weapon.
For players of Lost Soul Aside who experienced a crash when the game auto-saved during screenshot captures, that issue, alongside others, has been resolved in the latest patch for the game release today, September 9.
Other fixes include a progression block for the “Venture further into the Entropis Dimension” quest has been fixed, voices being too low for a post-boss battle scene and more.
Microsoft has been pushing Game Pass as its main growth strategy, making it a big part of its revenue.
Ultizero Games has released Lost Soul Aside update 1.006 (complete version 1.006.000) on PS5 and PC, and this also includes optimization improvements and other bug fixes. This is a minor patch, so don’t expect it to resolve all known issues about the game.

Microsoft has been pushing Game Pass as its main growth strategy, making it a big part of its revenue. However, some argue that the subscription model reduces game sales and leaves many developers earning less than they would from direct purchases.
Reflecting these concerns, Pete Hines, the former head of Bethesda publishing, said in an interview that Game Pass hurts the quality of games. His words were later supported by Shannon Loftis, former vice president of Xbox Game Studios, who added that the model is not always good for game creators and also causes disagreements inside Microsoft.
Last week, Microsoft announced that it was laying off over 9,000 employees across all its sectors, with its Xbox Gaming division seeing project cancellations and studio closures.
Game Pass Creates ‘Weird Inner Tensions’ at Microsoft, Claims Ex-Xbox Studios Vice President
Hines explained that the subscription creates an ecosystem that does not reward content creators properly. Loftis agreed and said the service causes “weird inner tensions” within the company: “I could (and may someday) write pages on the weird inner tensions this creates.”
She also pointed out that Game Pass helped some games, like Human Fall Flat, avoid being forgotten. But in her view, for most projects, the service reduces retail revenue unless the game is built for strong post-launch monetization.
Amid ongoing layoffs and internal changes, Xbox has faced several challenges recently.
She explained, “While GP can claim a few victories with games that otherwise would have sunk beneath the waves (human fall flat, e.g.), the majority of game adoption on Gap comes at the expense of retail revenue, unless the game is engineered from the ground up for post-release monetization.”
Former PlayStation executive Shawn Layden also commented on the Game Pass debate on LinkedIn. He said that discussions about whether the service is profitable miss the real issue. According to him, the main focus should not be on subscription revenue, but on whether it helps developers keep making games and receive fair pay.
It's hardly groundbreaking news that more Xbox first-party titles are making their way to PlayStation 5, but it's always interesting to get confirmation of upcoming ports for the platform.

The Division 2 Update 2.10 Brings Y7S2 Content
RETALIATION
How it Works
Retaliation takes place across D.C., New York, and Brooklyn, so the factions you face will depend on the location. Cleaners and Rikers can only initiate Retaliations while you are in New York (available through Warlords of New York expansion) or Brooklyn (available through Battle for Brooklyn DLC).
Every faction has an Agitation Meter, visible from the new Retaliation tab on the Mega Map. Eliminating enemies, completing missions, and capturing Control Points all push that meter higher. You can also complete a new Daily Project that instantly fills a faction’s bar to 100%. Once the meter is full, the faction will launch a Retaliation, attempting to take over a Named Zone and all of its Control Points.
Your objective is simple but demanding: retake the entire zone before the timer runs out. You and your team will deploy from the safe house, reclaiming Control Points one by one. Capturing a point extends the timer, but every second counts, and the clock is always against you.
If you choose not to engage, you can abandon the Retaliation, which hands the zone over to the enemy faction. They’ll be more than happy to move in.
Core Gameplay
Retaliation Control Points remix the standard formula with multi-wave battles. Difficulty scales with the global Alert Level, from Normal up to Heroic, with higher risk bringing greater rewards.
As you fight, Kill Squads may appear to ambush you. Defeating them not only adds precious time to the clock but also gives you a chance at exclusive Exotic blueprints tied to that faction.
Between captures, you will also encounter optional challenges called Maneuvers. They are shared by everyone in the Retaliation, but completed individually. Each success adds time to the retake timer. This can prove critical, as every downed agent means less time on the clock.
Targeted Exotic Farming
Each faction carries its own pool of Exotic blueprints, and there are multiple ways to work toward them:
Defeating a Kill Squad grants a chance to drop a blueprint from that faction’s exclusive pool. These squads are tied to five factions: Hyenas, True Sons, Outcasts, Cleaners, and Rikers.
Completing an entire Retaliation can also reward an additional blueprint from a separate pool, available for Hyenas, True Sons, and Outcasts.
The odds of earning blueprints improve as you take on higher global difficulties.
Crafting plays a central role in this system. Exotics are built using Exotic Components together with Retaliation-specific materials that drop during events:
Hyenas: Crystallized Spice
Outcasts: Biohazardous Canisters
True Sons: Military Dog Tags
Cleaners: Burning Ash
Rikers: Crossed Balaclava
For flexibility these materials can be converted into Broken SHD Watches, which can then be exchanged for materials from other factions, allowing you to progress towards Exotics outside the group you are currently facing. Conversion blueprints, along with Exotic Cache Blueprints, are available from Inaya at the Base of Operations.
Because Retaliation takes place in Warlords of New York Expansion and Battle for Brooklyn DLC, you may encounter Cleaners and Rikers as well. Even if you do not own these, you can still target their Exotics by crafting Exotic Caches tied to their blueprint pools.
Say what you will about Ubisoft, but the company does not give up on its games.
MODIFIERS
Global Modifier
This season’s focus on territory control is reinforced by the new global modifier, Divide and Conquer. It ties your combat power directly to the state of the map, granting different bonuses depending on who controls each Named Zone.
Contested Zones (no faction owns all Control Points) grant a Rate of Fire bonus, stacking up to 30%.
SHD-Controlled Zones grant both a Rate of Fire bonus and additional Weapon Damage, also stacking up to 30% for each stat.
Enemy-Controlled Zones provide no bonuses.
These bonuses apply across all Named Zones: 2 in Battle for Brooklyn, 4 in WONY, and 11 in D.C. The bonuses scale evenly based on the number of zones in each map, so you can reach the same maximum values no matter where you play.
Active Modifiers
Faction power is no longer just something to fight against, Active Modifiers let you harness it for yourself. These five abilities are themed around enemy factions, each with unique mechanics that grow stronger the more you invest. You’ll unlock them through the Seasonal Journey, and upgrade them by earning Modifier XP in two ways:
Completing a Retaliation against a faction gives Modifier XP for that faction’s modifier, even if it isn’t equipped.
Eliminating enemies while the modifier is equipped grants a smaller amount of Modifier XP.
As modifiers level up, their stats improve, their functions expand, and powerful new abilities become available.
Hyenas: Spiced Up
All of your Armor is stripped.
For the duration of this modifier, you cannot aim down sights or repair armor.
In return, each successful hit on an enemy adds a stacking Weapon Damage bonus and recovers some Health.
You also gain a boost to Health, Reload Speed, and Movement Speed.
Upgrades:
Level 5: When you press the input again, or when the timer ends, replenish Armor proportional to your current Health.
True Sons: Advanced Materiel
Your Skills gain extra Skill Tiers, and your Signature Weapons gain a Weapon Damage boost against regular enemies. This boost multiplied by 1.5 against Named Enemies.
Additionally, Signature Weapons gain a Rate of Fire boost and a Reload Speed boost, and while the effect is active, every reload automatically refills the magazine to full.
Kills with Signature Weapons or Skills add 3s to the modifier’s duration.
Upgrades:
Level 5: Specialization Skills are Overcharged while the ability is active.
Outcasts: Zealot
On activation, gain 15 stacks of Zealot, each one granting Weapon Damage and Damage Reduction boosts.
After 10 seconds, you begin losing 1 stack per second, and the stack consumption rate increases every 10 seconds. Eliminating hostiles restores Zealot stacks.
Upon reaching 0 stacks, a damaging EMP explosion is triggered at your location, leaving you at 1 Health. For each enemy hit by the explosion recover Armor and Health.
Upgrades:
Level 5: For each stack consumed, the EMP explosion’s damage increases by +2%.
Rikers: Say Cheese
Blind hostiles in a cone-shaped zone in front of you.
Holding a shield when triggering this modifier increases the range and radius of blinding effect.
Eliminating Blinded enemies reduces the cooldown of the modifier.
Upgrades:
Level 3: Eliminating hostiles while using a shield reduces the cooldown by 1s.
Cleaners: Sanitation
On activation, set enemies within a radius on fire.
While the modifier is active, each unique enemy set on fire adds 1 stack of Sanitation, which grants extra damage to Burning enemies, up to a maximum.
2+ stacks: For each enemy currently Burning, repair Armor every second.
3+ stacks: Critical hits inflict Burning on enemies.
Upgrades:
Level 3: Each kill on a Burning enemy adds 3 seconds to the duration.
Passive Modifiers
Passive Modifiers are archetype-based bonuses and debuffs aimed at countering different enemy archetypes. There are ten to choose from – five universal and five faction-based, and you can slot three at a time.
Universal Passive Modifiers
Assault – “Stepping Stone”: Killing an Assault archetype enemy with a headshot instantly refills your magazine with Hollow Point Ammo.
Thrower – “Batter Up”: Any time a grenade lands within 5 meters of you, it is destroyed automatically. This effect has a 45 second cooldown. While on cooldown, the explosion radius of your grenades is increased by 100% (doubled).
Sniper – “Compromised”: While you are in cover, your headshot damage against Snipers is increased by +100%. If you hit a Sniper while they are in cover, they are forced to leave cover.
Tank – “Rupert’s Tear”: Breaking any piece of a Tank’s armor causes all other armor pieces to break instantly. For each armor piece broken this way, enemies within 15 meters are inflicted with Bleed for 2 seconds.
Rusher – “Keep Out”: Rushers are staggered if you shoot them from within 10 meters. When this happens, you gain +20% Movement Speed for 10 seconds.
Faction-Specific Passive Modifiers
Hyenas Shield – “Unfriendly Fire”: Shooting a Hyena’s Shield deflects your bullets, dealing 50% of the damage to each enemy within a radius around the shield user.
True Sons – Immobilizer: Breaking the Immobilizer’s weak point applies foam to enemies within 20 meters, immobilizing them temporarily.
Outcasts – Scorcher: Breaking the Scorcher’s gas canister ignites enemies within 7 meters. These enemies burn until they die.
Cleaners – Controller: Destroying the Controller’s drone automatically breaks its user’s weak point and shocks both the Controller and nearby enemies.
Rikers – Leader: When the Leader is killed, all enemies benefiting from their bonus health receive a Bleed effect. You also gain +20% bonus armor when this happens.
Hostile Countermeasures
Your enemies are adapting too, bringing the following advantages:
“Out of Mind”: Speed and ROF boost that increases over time if the enemy is not damaged.
“Wedge”: Boosts damage for the enemy and nearby allies, scaling with ally count.
“Overwatch”: Grants Overheal to the affected enemies while their gadget is deployed.
Given how well the Battlefield 6 Open Beta was received, it's perfectly understandable that EA and DICE would want to ride that hype train to Battlefield 2042.

While the Battlefield 6 Open Beta was a resounding success, there was one topic that wasn't answered then, and still hasn't been answered now: does the game play better with closed or open weapon for classes?
For those unaware, an "open" class sytem for weapons means any class can equip any weapon.
